WOWOWOW that was delicious. Thick, chewy hand pulled noodles. Just what I wanted Tohu Lagham was perfect mid-spice. THE DUMPLINGS were the WINNER tho. Got the beef dumplings and the seasoning was out of this world. Super savory. Almost reminded me of a Latin American spice? Still licking my teeth and lips to savor how delicious that was. Server was excellent. He was very thoughtful and engaging and proud of their restaurant and food quality. A Delight.

Very good tasting food. Staff was excellent. This was my first time trying Uygher food and I would go back again. Not a single dish was bad. Price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. Plus it’s halal.

Had the opportunity to visit this quiet and unassuming restaurant. Service was quick and very friendly. Then the food arrived! It was one culinary treat after another. The Lamb Kebabs and the Oxtail are amazing! Very relaxing and family friendly. Visit, you'll love it!

The food was amazing. I am very happy we came and tried it. The service was slow. The biggest issue is we ordered three entrees and they came out ten minutes apart. I feel like another waiter is needed to help with the flow of the dining room. The star of the show is the food.

Absolutely delicious! Great flavors! The Gyro Lagman's noodles were nice and chewy and if you want more noodles you can ask for more at a cost. The Cumin Beef is slightly spicy, but yummy. The Beef Kebab had great cumin flavor!

The food is flavorful and the serving sizes are large. They accommodated our party of 14 (i called ahead). They provided free black tea and the lamb and salsa and simit (bread) were lovely. Servers were helpful and the price was so inexpensivegiven the amount of food we ate! I can't wait to go back!

This halal Uyghur spot is actually insane. Like 10/10 without even trying. We always order the same two things because they NEVER miss: the gosh naan and the korma chop. The gosh naan was ordered accidentally once, and at first, it felt weird (never had anything like it), but we couldn't stop eating it!! Now its something I crave every other week. It could solve world peace. And the korma chop. This is better than the laghman in my opinion. Handpulled noodles with chili oil and meat - you take one bite and just sit there questioning why other restaurants even try. Highly recommend!

Went to Turan Uyghur Kitchen today. Let me tell you, this is what noodles should arrive to achieve, they were chewy with a sauce that lightly covered them. I'm so happy we stepped in. We tried Sui Rou Laghman. Round udon like noodles in a lightly spicy vinegar tomato sauce with diced lamb and lightly stir fried veggies. We wanted to order the Turan Braised Oxtails but they were out. They made the plate with lamb chops instead. This was a milder plate, with wide flat noodles and a sauce you're gonna want to soak bread in. This came with sweet corn and potatoes that had been precooked in almost a floral broth. My husband and I gorged ourselves on this plate. I need to come back and try it with oxtail. We also tried their chicken dumplings and these are good. The dough is nicely cooked and not gummy. The filling is flavorful and they are served with a smokey chili dipping sauce. While these are good there are so many other plates that sound interesting that I'm ok not getting them again. They serve everything with a lovely hot thai tea that compliments the food and a large pitcher of lemon lime water.

Highly recommend eating here. Luqman, the Manager here, took great care of us. We enjoyed the food so much! Very tasty, super fresh and hand made noodles! Need I say more. Ummm, yes! The Uyghur black tea was chefs kiss. We were told that the owners have a special recipe. And the lamb was perfectly seasoned, oh and the cucumber salad, so simple but incredible. I will definitely be back to try the dumplings and the meat pie next time.

I was curious to try Uyghur cuisine and noticed there’s a spot in Houston—Turan Uyghur Kitchen. We decided to check it out, and I’m glad we did! The restaurant itself is nice and clean. We went on a Friday evening when it was moderately busy, but the service was still excellent. Prices were very reasonable, and a big plus is that everything is halal. For appetizers, we ordered the spring rolls and egg drop soup. Both were tasty, but the spring rolls stood out—crispy, fresh, and clearly made in-house. For mains, we tried the lamb stuffed dumplings, garlic chicken fried rice, and stir-fried udon noodles with beef. Every dish was flavorful and served in generous portions. They also brought out complimentary black tea, which was a nice touch. To finish, we got a honey cake to-go, and enjoyed it the next morning—it was absolutely delicious! Overall, we were highly satisfied and would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving Central Asian flavors. The food came out in a reasonable time, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable. We’ll definitely be going back to try more dishes from their menu!

Very homey feel - feels like mom / grandma cooked you a meal. We ordered the dumplings, cumin lamb and lamb leg rice. Everything was very good. Would come back to try their hand pulled noodles. Black tea is free as well and smells very fragrant! Definitely a place not to miss!

The food was so yummy the korma noodles were delicious. The lamb kebab was really yummy. It was my favorite part. The dumplings were alright but over all so yummy! Service is great!!!

Stopped here for a quick lunch during the weekend and it was not too busy. The spot is cozy and homey looking. We ordered the Odon noodles with beef and chicken. We also ordered the chicken dumplings. Noodles tasted fresh and they are made in house. Dumplings also tasted like they were made in house, fresh, and delicious. I will definitely be back to try other items on their menu. The biggest bonus is the food is Halal. The complementary tea is an added bonus after your meal.

i have been wanting to try Uighar cuisine for a while so when i saw this restaurant in Houston i knew i had to try it. I was unfamiliar with the cuisine, and based on the interaction with the waitress i am assuming many people add unfamiliar. she was very helpful and explained a lot about the menu and cuisine to each guest. there are lots of options but if you are a vegetarian there is only one option - green beans. we ordered the garlic cucumber appetizer, the green beans, and the udon noodles with lamb. the portion size is HUGE and each plate could serve 2-3 individuals. the cucumber tasted good and tasted similar to korean bonchon cucumber. the udon noodles tasted homemade and the green beans were average overall great service and huge portion size

I will say the food is amazing. The noodles and chicken were great. Would like to try other items but ran out. However, only issue was 1-2 people were serving 7-8 families so the service was initially slow. However afterwards, the food did come quickly. As we waited for bill, took a while for them to to notice. A personal issue was I couldn't fit well at table, but that is my fault due to being too tall.

I still don't know what Uyghur flavor is after tried the oxtail stew with noodles. The oxtail is under cooked, very chewy and hard, served with not generous potion of bell peppers, sweet corn, carrot, and 2 pieces of potato with a lot of ketchup based sauce. Nothing impressive. No ice water offered. You need to pay $1.5 for a bottled water.

When I discovered this Uyghur restaurant in Houston area, I was so looking forward to trying it out. Unfortunately the service is so NOT customer oriented, the dining room is BELOW average and the food is nothing special. If you’re like me being a curious foodie, try it once and won’t come back again…😪😲 Honestly I don’t understand how it got high reviews on Google map while the dining experience and the food quality and the service are for sure below 3 stars❓❗️😯😲
