Ordered meals for pick-up. Attentive staff - upon entering I was promptly and politely greeted. While she went to the back to check my order a server noticed us standing there and came immediately to greet us and help us. We live 15 minutes away and the food was at a good temperature when we sat down at home to eat it. The chicken wonton tacos were the highlight - delicious and crisp! We are new to the area and will definitely be coming back to this Applebee’s location.

MATT L was fabulous!! He was so friendly and funny. He was honestly a very goofy guy! He engaged in casual conversation with my friends and I, and was incredibly patient despite the fact that we were a little chaotic in ordering in such. He also sang a fabulous rendition of Happy Birthday for my friend. (Shoutout to MARK who also sang!) It wasn’t the food or the atmosphere that made this trip special; it was MATT! All props to him, I hope his birthday can be just as special as he made my friend’s. (GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!!)

Swung in after work with some of my co-workers to grab some drinks and OMG we had such an amazing experience. Our bartender Vicky was on point, with the margaritas she was making.. I had a couple of perfect margaritas and definitely recommend it to anybody that loves a good margarita because it was phenomenal.

This review is based off an experience at the Hawthorne, NY Applebees on 10/13/24 - we really want to shout out our server, Matthew L. He is the best server we've ever had - at any restaurant. He was personable, funny, attentive and thoughtful. He was clearly busy and working hard with many tables, but we never felt overlooked. He's the type of waiter that notices what you may need before you even realize it. The food was great, but Matthew really made our day. He's awesome and I hope to have him as a server again.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't have high hopes for this place since I've always been disappointed in the past. But the food and the drinks were so good. For only 6$ the 'passion on the beach' is too good. It's also the first time I've ever seen a manager so interactive with people in a dining room... I also saw her cleaning up the women's bathroom and I couldn't help but thank her because I always dread going into public bathrooms with my children... I'm not sure what her name was but her smile could light up a room. You can tell the atmosphere is great and we can't wait to come back again. this place is definitely becoming my local favorite!

One of the best Applebee's experiences I have ever had

I have been driving by Applebee's for some time and finally stopped in. The atmosphere, food and service was excellent. I met the manager Richard and Emily behind the bar who were great and def are the reason I'll now become a regular. I would like this message to reach them from corporate. Highly recommend here.

Great experience. I came as a couple for the veterans day menu. We were seated right away. Great drinks, great food Great service! We both had a burger made as we asked and was delicious. Will definitely come back ro this location. Although I sat inside, I can see the nice seating they had for outside.

Our server, Matt, was superb. Everything else was nice as well. We sat outside. The kitchen and Matt were very accommodating for me with allergies. And the food they made for me was excellent. I would go back any time.

There is a manger/bartender get name is Vicky she is amazing her personality outside anybody in the place always very friendly and polite. She goes above and beyond to make sure your orders are correct and always checks in once the food comes out you couldn’t ask for or have anybody better than her there that’s off Vicky you’re the best.

We dined at the Applebees of Hawthorne, the service was excellent and the food even better. The bathroom was a little dirty but what place doesn’t during dinner time. I’d like to shout out our server Yadira she was excellent and Very attentive.

Today's visit was very good. Seated right away and ordered within 10 minutes of arriving. Food came out accurately and cooked the way we asked. I ordered the 2 entree, 2 sides deal for ~$21 with ribs and salmon, both done perfectly (actually took one entree home since actually full sized portions). My companion had cheese quesadilla, garlicky green beans & garlic mashed potato, all very good. We both had water with lemon. Service excellent and attentive. Will definitely return. *Update: same excellent service & food

Went here for my daughter's birthday and we enjoyed it. Food was fresh and tasted great. My daughter ordered Alfredo but doesn't like cheese very much. It wasn't very cheesy but she tasted it and enjoyed it very much. The Manager overheard what was going on and went to the back to have them remake the dish with marinara and brought it out, which I thought was very attentive of him. Will definitely go back soon

My girlfriend and I went out for drinks at Applebee’s in Hawthorn for a girls night. Our bartender, Vicky was so personable and friendly. She made our girls night special for us. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun easy night out to go see Vicky at Applebee’s in Hawthorne.

You all know who I'm and what I dowith these reviews so I'll cut right to the chase. This is hands down the next Applebee's in Westchster County dare I go as far to say all of NY state and let me tell you why. We usually stop in her for lunch on Sundays but decided to stop in for breakfast this Palm Sunday and they didn't fail. The place was empty and they have ample parking on-site. I bought The Beast (pictured below) out to get some air today and got a nice safe spot right up front. MY BEST MAN AT APPLEBESS ADELFO was working today to our surprise and it made the experience twice as better. FRESH Columbian Coffee right out of a freshly brewed pot , eggs, sirloin , omelletes galore. YES I had a brunch drink which was an LIT.....or two and it was absolutely breathtaking (made by Adelfo personally). No rush at all stay as long as you want, great music for a Sunday breakfast . Superior service. If Adelfo ever leaves this Applebee's we will follow him to his new location. He's the best. He's like family, we chop it up and he is very attentive. THE BEST. But don't take my word for it.....BEHOLD.

This Applebee's was great! We sat right away at a table and were able to choose from booth or table. The waitress came right away and offered drinks while we looked at the menu. The food came out promptly, and the waitress checked often. She accommodated everyone and offered explanations if we didn't know we could change something. The food was good and hot. They gave the kids crayons and an activity paper that has the kid menu attached. Clean bathrooms as well.

Their lava chocolate cake is very good. Other foods are just ok. Resturant environment is spectacular. Also friendly stuffs.

Matt is the absolute goat and if you’re blessed enough to have him as your waiter your night WILL be made. He is funny, awesome, and he got all of our ELEVEN orders right! He went along with all of our bits and he had his own really funny bits. He’s the best!

I don’t usually make a big deal out of birthdays, but thanks to Yadira and the amazing staff at Applebee’s, my day felt extra special! We got a food promo 1 appetizer with 2 entrees for $25 both taste good my fave was the one the had chicken and bacon, we sat at the bar and the girl there was very nice but there was this other guy the came here and there and every time he would come to the bar side it felt like he was being very pushy with us to get drinks, which it made me feel very uncomfortable and rush to finish my food but anyway aside from that everything was good.

Late night food. Not many people were there so it was quiet. The server was always available and was able to answer questions and was very friendly. The food was great. Got a chocolate milkshake and shrimp chicken. Food was great. Unfortunately, prices have gone up quite a bit here. It was hard to find much under $20.

We had a family night out. The staff was friendly. We really enjoyed our meals. The load waffles fries and fry chicken was on point. I had the mudslide which still taste amazing. The $6 drink was great as well. I can't until we go back. We had so much fun. On the deck they had a DJ playing from 7 to 10 if I'm not mistaken. The restaurant wasn't crowded which was nice so there was no wait time.

Buffalo wings were okay. The chicken tacos delicious ( always a fave), tex mex shrimp bowl could use some ginger sauce or something to give it a bit more flavor and the Oriental crispy chicken salad was good.

Good relaxed atmosphere, good service, good reliable food and drinks. Large screen TV and a bar make it an easy choice.

Food was good and not overpriced. Only problem was the waitress, she hardly came to our table and when she did we asked for soda and coffee. It took a long time for us to get it, plus the fact she got one of the sodas wrong, only ordered three. She also had to be reminded of bringing something to the table for someone's birthday. I will be going there again but will try to avoid having that waitress.

The service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and came back frequently asking us if we needed anything. He brought me a couple of extra drinks which I thought was very nice. The food came out exactly the way we ordered and they gave us a generous helping of french fries. I even tried a chocolate chip cookie sundae for dessert which was very nice. They even have a little tablet on the table where you can order additional items or play games or even pay the bill.

We waited a while before someone greeted us, the restaurant was partially empty; it was mid-afternoon on a Thursday. 2 for $33 - salad was good and good portion size. Beef ribs portion small but tasty

Very nice, clean Apple Bees. I have no idea why they closed so many in Westchester. We went for the $14.99 special..it was very good but they have some gimmick where the second portion is a half order and its loaded with French Fries. They should give a person an option. I rather have a little more of what I preferred vs. the French fries.

The food here is usually good. My friend and I did the 2 for, I had no problem with my ribs but her sirloin steak was a little tough, not tough enough where she couldn't eat it like a previous time. The desserts are nice but we refrained. The calories for each item is enough for a meal. I didn't want to eat a 1000+ calorie for 1 meal.

The food is really good and the atmosphere is nice. I ordered the ribs which I shared with my daughter. So I ask they waited for a plate, and he never brought it to the table. This is why I give three stars for service.

Our waitress was great. the spicy chicken sandwich was huge, but unfortunately bland. The CEILING was absolutely horrific. It appeared as if black mold was growing near all the vents. All I could think about was legionnaires disease. Replace the ceiling tiles and clean the vents and I’ll happen edit this review.

Our server Matt provided us with a great experience. He was super patient with our family of 6 plus my sister in law. He even gave us a great suggestion that saved us a couple of bucks. We included a few pictures. The food came out fast and was great. This really would’ve been a 5 star review had it not been for the manager/supervisor Jose. We had asked the hostess for a high chair and never received one. I had made eye contact with Jose for a minute or two and finally just flagged him down. Rather than just grabbing it himself he went to find the waiter who was busy punching in our order…just one suggestion Jose, lead from the front….support your staff and help fill in the gaps rather than talking up clients at the bar.

So don't get me wrong the food is delicious to say the least. But it also left a lot to desired. Like: how there's meat in almost every dish, especially all the salads. My partner has to ask if they had house salads off the menu to find something without meat in it. But we're talking everything! Second is the fact that we had small kids with us and we're given 4 sets is sharp serrated knives, which we never used given they are finger foods. Lastly, everything is super expensive for the offerings. $12 for an appetizer when that's also the price of some low end entrees is a bit much. Now given this is a chain restaurant I'm commenting more about the chain than the location itself. It was a fine location, they do sanitize tables after each guest, the staff were friendly and attentive, and it was easy to get to while we traveled across the state. But the chain leaves much to be desired given how the only things a vegetarian can eat are appetizers, sides, and a burger. Out of a 6 page menu!

Car side delivery never happens here. I always have to go inside to get my order..

We were gifted a gift card for Applebees so found one close to us so we could use it. We got there around 11:45 and were seated right away. We ordered the 2 for $35 which came with an appetizer and 2 full sized entrees. Their menu prices were pretty expensive so this seemed like a good deal. We got the boneless wings with sweet Asian chili sauce and ranch on the side. They were really good. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and my bf got the sirloin steak (medium) with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Mine was really good but my bfs was not great at first. His steak was really unevenly cooked and parts were well done while others were rare and the mashed potatoes were cold. We had to track someone down to mention this to them because no one came by and they did correct it. On the second attempt it was much better! Overall I’m glad they corrected it but it took forever.

The food isn’t bad but definitely not worth the price. Big is not always better. Their Captin Bahama Mama was really well prepared; compliments to the bartender. The service in this place is so rude. Our server did low minimum work and made me feel uncomfortable about my tipping portion. When tipping is OPTIONAL! Overall experience tonight 4.5 /10.

It's a run down place in need of a major face-lift. Service was lack luster food was horrible. Chicken didn't even taste like chicken! everything you've never eaten but tried usually "tastes like chicken".....well not there chicken? Fries tasted like they haven't changed the fry oil in decades and they were over cooked. Eat at your own risk.

Don't order the queso. It's not real queso it's that walmart canned garbage that taste like chemicals. Steak is always overcooked, I can even tell the green beans came from a can. I won't eat here ever again, its Disrespectful for the amount of money spent. You'd think a teenager ran this place.

Came in for the 15 dollar unlimited shrimp, riblets, and boneless wings. The food was absolutely terrible, the wings were all breading, the ribs were overcooked, and the shrimp tasted like it was frozen for 10 years before I got it.. Don't waste your money on this crappy food. I wouldn't feed this stuff to my dog.

Apology in advance for sounding like a Karen. But I’ve gone to this Applebees since forever. I have ordered from here multiple times. My food is always hot when it gets to my house and all the food is in the bag. Today wasn’t that case. I was missing my steak. And as I did get refunded I called to ask if I could just order a soda and they can put my steak in a bag to give. The “manager” said he packed it himself & that there’s no possible way for me to get the steak unless I order a new one. I’m sorry but I’ve worked in the restaurant business and we’ve done that for customers when the kitchen messes up on an order. His other excuse was that the DELIVERY driver stole my steak. I’m sorry but the bag was completely shut and glued together. You’re gonna blame the Uber driver for your mistake??? Grow up. Steak doesn’t go missing like that. I wasn’t just feeding myself. I was feeding other people as well. So thank you for ruining the day & wasting my time. I’ll never order from here again. Especially after they had the balls to blame the driver.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED My family and I went in on 05/04/25 at around 3PM First we received the wrong flavor of wings but whatever we ate it so we wouldn’t send it back The salmon my husband ordered was SUPER DRY My mother in law asked for her steak to be well done and it was medium well and she did not enjoy because she does not like her steak pink My salad had salad dressing only in the middle which made it unpleasant to eat overall the food SUCKED The server was nice but your cook needs to up their game or they were in bad mood Spent $110 dollars that I felt was NOT WORTH we LOVE Applebees but definitely NOT THIS LOCATION :(

Decent food, but one of the most awful experiences I’ve ever had in terms of service. Wait staff acted as if they were doing us favors the entire time. Will never be going back!

At the beginning it was great and then I ordered a burger and was hype to tear it up. I then received a side of broccoli with my “classic burger” what classic burger comes with a side of broccoli. We then asked for a desert menu and then proceeded to be ignored for over 25 minutes until our next interaction with an employee.

I stopped in on the afternoon of 4/23, admittedly kinda between meal times, around 4pm. I was sat relatively quickly, on what was the empty side of the restaurant. There was not another table sat over on that right side. I noticed the bar, which had a guest, was otherwise without a staff member. The far opposite side of the restaurant had maybe 4 or 5 tables sat, and from what I could tell, maybe one server working that side. I sat for about 10 minutes and no one came to greet me at my table. The person who sat me seemed to notice this and asked if I had been greeted, I shared that I hadn’t. I suggested maybe moving which she agreed to, maybe a server wasn’t assigned to that section. After moving, still, no service. No drink, so greeting, nothing. I stayed for another couple of minutes and ultimately decided to leave, which no one really acknowledged either. Oh well. I will try again.

Absolutely incompetent service and terrible food at Applebee's on Saw Mill River Road. Served appetizers without utensils or napkins. 45 minutes to get silverware. Place was not busy. Management was HORRIBLE. Order received incorrect and incomplete. NO WATER REFILLS EITHER. Drunk table behind us completed our evening. Avoid at all costs! Never again!

I asked the waiter 3 times for lemon for my water. He said yes all 3 times then never brought it! I had to go up to the bar and ask for it. All pieces of lemon were dried out and one piece was rotted! The food took forever to come out and they weren't busy. Their prices are ridiculous too. Also, there was no soap in the lady's bathroom. I hope the waiter liked his 10% tip! I always over tip but not today. He pissed us off. I'll never go back there.
