Such a cute little speakeasy. I will say the waiting for someone to come to the door ended up being anticlimactic and they didn’t really hype it up so it lost some of the magic as they just opened the door and let us in. Vs doing the hole in the wall bit. The space is tight and not wheelchair friendly. They pack a lot into this room between the amount of tables, the bar, and the kitchen all being out in the open. Our server was wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable with the menu. All of our drinks were delicious. I ordered the burger and was blown away by the flavor profile with everything on the plate. My friend got the special French fries that looked like pickle chips and I was BLOWN away by those. All of the different layers of flavors were amazing. Then we got a chocolate dessert and boozy ice cream dessert and everyone was impressed. Lastly, I will say because the space is tight and there was some humming noise, you had to talk loud to hear. And friends noticed even with 6 people close together that if you sat at the end (not far) that you couldn’t hear the person at the other end. But overall a great experience!

Love the place! It’s dark and intimate perfect! The food is delicious! The desserts were the best I’ve ever had also!

Amazing atmosphere and delicious drinks!! Service was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. The bartenders are skilled and friendly! Special thank you to Brittany who went above and beyond to accommodate my best friend’s dairy sensitivity and sent us out a custom modified dessert🩷You made our night!

Very cool place with a fun cocktail menu and delicious food. Big cushy booths are nice and the staff are friendly. The NY steak had a wonderful crust but juicy within and was cooked to the requested level perfectly.

One of if not the best Speakeasy Style Bar in the state can be found in Hudson Massachusetts. Less Than Greater Than has all the cocktails you'd expect and great food including one of the best burgers I've ever had. Their burger is a Premium Ground Beef Patty, House-Made Brioche, American Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Dill Pickles, Lemon Aioli. Served with House Greens. I was not expecting it to be that good and it's definitely in my top five. And because they're right next door to their sister restaurant New City Microcreamery they have some excellent desserts always rotating on the menu with fresh ice cream made next door. Around this out with classic and unique cocktails offered and skilled bartenders making them right in front of you and you got dinner, drinks, and a show.

We went for a celebratory dinner/drinks last night. We had a party of 4 so we ordered some apps; all of which were very good. We had the wings and Mac and cheese. The wings were cooked perfectly. I got a burger which was cooked to order with nice crispy seasoned potato wedge style fries. Chef Cory came over to make sure everything was satisfactory and made sure we were taken care of. Overall great experience and would recommend to others visiting the area.

I truly enjoyed my time at this bar! Speakeasy vibes and super cozy! The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely a hidden gem in this area and so happy I got to try the boozy ice cream sundae omg it was the best!

Visiting Hudson's Speakeasy is an ~experience~! The menu is updated frequently, offering fresh takes on classic dishes that always keep you guessing. Whether you're in the mood for a signature cocktail, shared plates, or a hearty meal - <<>> delivers with flair. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and chic, making it a great spot for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, ensuring your meal feels personalized. If you're looking for a place with character, charm, and consistently delicious food and cocktails, Less Than Greater Than should be at the top of your list.

Omg this is the best dining experience I ever had. The secret spot, not too loud, not ordinary, very cute with cool atmosphere. Definitely worth it. Confusing to find from the beginning but you’d love the challenge)

Great experience as always! The staff is attentive and friendly, the food is ridiculously delicious! My wife enjoyed the Short rib agrodulce and I had the BBQ Duck sandwich which we both recommend highly. For drinks? My wife enjoyed the El Brujo Especial and I enjoyed two flights of whiskey. Dessert was "Destroy all smores." Wow!! We will be back!

First off, the speakeasy was located in an ice cream shop. You just have to flip a light switch and they open the secret door. That was super cool. The vibe inside is exactly what a speakeasy should feel: low-key quiet and romantic. They played 90's jams that I kept shazamming. Now on to the food and drinks, which was outstanding. I ordered the smoked ribeye and an old-fashioned drink. The smoked ribeye could be on the list of best things I've ever eaten. The old-fashioned was really good 9/10. If you are ever in the Hudson area run over here and have a meal with a cocktail because they, do it right.

Very cute and fun speakeasy! They have a lot of delicious food options and it’s a fun experience. They have outdoor seating during covid which we enjoyed as well and appreciate all the precautions they take to maintain safety.

L

The friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. And of course the food was delicious. The experienced bar tenders could make any drink imaginable with the variety of alcohol lining the wall.

S

I love this place. Best craft cocktails I have had in 5 years. Even though it is not necessary, they can make custom drinks for you based on your likes and dislike. The service exceeded my expectations.

B

Excellent food and drink with creative cocktails and delicious flavors. The speakeasy environment is fun and creative as well as cozy. The service was friendly and attentive without rushing us and was happy to accommodate us if there were any questions or desires to go off menu for drinks. Being next to the ice cream parlor, ice cream was available for dessert and special frozen "drinks" and both were excellent as well. Everything is dimly lit and darkly furnished in a classic sort of way and adds to the ambiance. This is an excellent place for a date night and one we will be visiting again in the future.

The idea of this little upscale hideaway is so cool. I would give this place a ten star review if I could. It was phenomenal. Amazing fresh food. Fancy drink menu. With a huge bar. Menu changes frequently to keep it fresh. You must try the alcohol infused ice cream it was so smooth and you could not taste booze at all. Every little detail is considered and sophisticated. From the glasses to the drinks, food, and atmosphere. Amazing place for a date or special occasion. You just need to know how to get in. You have to enter through the New City microcreamery. And hit a light switch in back near the bathroom. Then you will be if you are then to see the cobbler and then they will ask how many pairs of shoes you have. You should say how many people you have with you. Reservation is suggested as this place gets popular.

Superb food & craft cocktails ! Those two fe.ale chefs rock in that tiny kitchen and Allen the bartender was constantly moving & shaking thise drinks. It was a 2 hour drive for us one way but we would definitely return here to eat.

Highly recommend. From the owners all the way down this place is amazing. Very cool spot to take a date. I tell friends and clients about this place regularly and they honestly deserve it. 10/10. If you haven’t been you’re missing out!

Love the feel of this place. It’s designed beautifully, the food was crafted and presented well. The salmon BLT was amazing. We also had burgers, which presented well but were uneventful to be honest. Of course after tasting the Salmon BLT, there wasn’t much that could change my thoughts. It really was THAT good! Would totally recommend this place!!!

I love a good speakeasy and this us a great one. Lindsay, our waitress and bartender was outstanding, fun, and knowledgeable. The food was as good as the cocktails. Make sure to get some boozy soft serve for dessert.

If you’re spending a few hours here, expect to try multiple cocktails. As someone who grew up in Hudson, it’s insane to realize a place like this exists downtown. Whether ordering food or a fancy cocktail, they’ll make it fresh within view. Top notch!

Speakeasy cocktail bar with pricey (well maybe not if you are from NYC 🤨) but well worth it drinks. Great ambience and service. Ice is killer, which is pretty much crystal clear! The pic below is taken 3-4 inches of the stuff; they don't muck around. Worth the wait and would recommend sitting at the bar to see the bartenders in action.

Love this place! Fun and funky, the food is delicious and the drinks and desserts are amazing. We came with a sizable group that arrived at staggered times and they were incredibly accommodating. Brad our server was fun and great at helping select cocktails. We all will definitely be back!!

Stumbled upon this place on a Monday night. Enter through New City Microcreamery and locate the door with instructions. The cobbler is not what you think. The pierogis and brussels sprout caesar were quite flavorful and satisfying and the drinks were truly stellar. The bourbon ice cream cocktail was out of this world; the most complex and delicious dessert cocktail I've ever had. The cream really makes the flavors of the bourbon stand out. Some "secretive" speakeasies border on unwelcoming and uncomfortable, but this place felt tucked away, stylish, and cozy. What a find, so glad we stopped in!!

Top notch. Tiki Tuesday for the win. Tasty tropical libations and foods in a relaxed, attractive atmosphere. Warm welcome from the hosts. I'll be playing my cards close to the vest & checking this secretive joint out again.

This secret spot is a hidden gem in downtown Hudson. Friendly and efficient staff. Wonderful, cozy atmosphere. Delicious and creative food and drink options. The perfect meet up spot mid-week or wind down location for weeks end. Everything was perfect! Bartenders Sidney and Sasha make the best craft cocktails around!

The cocktails were amazing! I had the Ghost in the Greenhouse and loved it. I appreciate that they update the menu every season. When I visited in the summer, I enjoyed the Saganaki Shrimp Rolls, but those are no longer on the menu. This time, I tried the Green Goddess Guacamole with Pita and the Crab Cake, both of which were very fresh and delicious. The vibe of this place is fantastic! If you’re visiting with just two people, I highly recommend making a reservation for the bar area.

First time here and everything was amazing. Our server Victoria went above and beyond to make our experience here better than we could have imagined. It was our first time at a speak easy setting and she gave us good recommendations for drinks made by Sacha that were amazing!!

I have come to this bar multiple times and have always been blown away by the quality of the food, and the effort and friendliness of the staff. I have had the pleasure of having Sidney as a bartender multiple times, and she has been an absolute pleasure every single time that she has served me. I could not recommend this place more!

Went on a Monday evening and was able to walk right in. Both the food and cocktails were very good and much more unique than you'll find at most other places in the area. The servers were all wonderful. We loved the feel of this place, too. It's got the fun twist of a speakeasy with a "hidden" entrance.

K

Place has great vibe, with the credit going to the Bartenders. And they won't even blink when you order a Boulevardier. ; ) The duck (braised/broiled) was cooked to tender perfection. Swam in potato mash and carrots. Best meal I've had in a while and I just came for the cocktails!

Amazing place! The bar manager (Luke I think) was epic. Made the best darn Slow Gin Fizz this girl has had. He's so knowledgeable in mixology and is an asset to the place. Also LOVE the atmosphere.

J

This was such a cool experience. The entry was mysterious, although I really wish the host peaked out the window like in the YouTube video I watched of the place. Found out later the host was actually not a regular employee of the place, so understandable. Our waitress was so attentive and pleasant! She was so on top of clearing our table, offering more drinks, refilling our water, and just being kind in the rush of things. The drinks were so cool and enjoyable..although I only got the ice cream based drink (the grass hopper, I think it was called). Totally recommend! It's sweet, but you can still taste a hint of the whiskey. Moving on to the food: got the pierogi as an appetizer (my furst time, so it was unoque but tasty with the sauce and caramelized onions), the Dan Dan noodles and something with sausage tortellini and broccoli (forgot the name), and the only thing I'd complain about is the Dan Dan noodles..there was just too much noodles and not enough flavor..I watched a video that said how amazing it was so I was excited and then quickly disappointed in the lack of flavor. Other than that, would go again even with the cost. For 2 people, 3 drinks..1 appetizer..2 entrees..and food left over ro takw home, we spent about 100, so a bit pricey if you go everyday, but not a bad total for a special occassion. Overall, this hidden gem should definitely be a stop if you are in Hudson!

The cocktails were delicious, and the waitstaff was super helpful and nice when making recommendations. The cheeseboard was VERY good. the entrees were ok, and took a fair amount of time, even though it wasn't super busy. This is a bar, and the smaller plates are much better than the entrees.

Really cool speakeasy place! Burgers were great and the cocktails were awesome. They have a really large variety of cocktails to choose from 🍹🥃

This place is a "speakeasy" right here in Hudson, though not the most secretive of places to access. Nonetheless...a nice touch. We came for drinks alone and sat at the bar. The bar tender we had this night was NOT very welcoming. She clearly did not want to be working, serving us, etc. Customer service is not her forte. The drinks were good though and atmosphere fine for a brief gathering with a friend.

Cross-posted from yelp: Really fun place to visit! Getting in was really entertaining and adds a special aesthetic to the place. Have been meaning to try it out for ages. Did not try the food, but enjoyed the drink I got. I would suggest going with friends so that you can get a round table, or sit at the bar near the windows -- otherwise, you kind of are watching the kitchen/hood the whole time. The bartenders are awesome to watch though! Good quality drinks, good variety. Definitely unique cocktail menu and not just the standard options. A little pricey ($14-18/cocktail), so I would probably only have one (max two) in a visit, but enjoyable nonetheless. I did struggle to find their pricing online before visiting. Will note that the lighting is dim for the speakeasy vibe (cool) but also it's ambiently fairly loud due to the size of the space. Wouldn't recommend if you struggle with sensory environments.

Fun concept-great cocktails: Less than Greater Than is a fun concept- a speakeasy attached to an ice cream parlor. It is a small dimly lit space, very pricey, with average food and service. An interesting cocktail menu and good whiskey choices. The burgers were about $16.00 and the steak was $28.00 (I think that was for 9 oz).The time period cocktails were about $13.00. Next time I will eat elsewhere, but definitely go back for drinks and appetizers. I highly recommend making a reservation, it is a very small space! Casual dress is acceptable and it appeared to appeal to all adult age groups. It is over 21, so no screaming children-or well behaved ones allowed. There is street parking so allow time to find a spot, we had to circle around two or three times and a couple of blocks to find a space. A few cute shops in the area ( close a little on the early side) and the award winning Rail Trail restaurant is across the street.

Edit: Now that we know where the right entrance is- the food is good and drinks are amazing! Def recommend making a reservation first, can get busy on weekends. It’s a speakeasy! I’m sorry I used the wrong door since it was my first time there! This server and one of the customers was very judgmental about it and good for them but jeez, it’s a speakeasy! Of course I didn’t know what door was for the entry! Food and drinks were lovely but if it’s your first time there, beware, you’ll be judged if you don’t use the right door! 🤧

Drinks were good, though it seemed like they weren't shaken long enough before pouring to get the dilution rite. Got the guacamole, which was simple but fine. Service was slow, especially with the place mostly empty. The big issue was that they were out of a lot of the menu, and it was only 8:15. Basically, I wouldn't go on a Monday. It really felt like they didn't want to be open that day. I'd be willing to go again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to anyone visiting based on this experience.

B
Bruce Wahler

The place is cozy, but the noise level I WAY too high. How do I know this? Because the waiter missed our appetizer order (guacamole). I enjoyed my drink; my wife, not so much. Entrees were good, but not stellar. They were out of the frozen dairy drink I wanted for dessert.

We went out for a girls evening and made reservations. Two out of the four girls have been here before. The food was excellent. The service however, was less than great. Our initial server was rude and judgmental. She did not make recommendations when she explained they did not have a specific item. She was passive aggressive and unprofessional. I believe her name was Melissa. At one point during the evening she stopped serving us and a young lady named Sydney took over. Sydney was very sweet, had a positive personality and made recommendations. Thank you Sydney for saving the experience for us. However, due to Melissa, next time we will spend the 200+ somewhere else. If it wasn’t for Sydney, we would have rated the service a zero.

Cool concept. Great ambiance, great service, great drinks, but the food feels like elevated bar food. Fries were soggy, wings were too doughy and not crispy/crunchy. Enjoyed the fried kim cheese. The Cacio e pepe had not even a trace of pepper. If they invested in the technique, they could take it to the next level.

This speakeasy is hidden inside the micro creamery in Hudson. We were pretty excited for the experience but not for long. The drinks seems extravagant but the flavours and cocktails did not stand out that much. The menu sounded pretty interesting but it was very regular food with no flavor and fancy plating and an extravagant price point. We ordered the burrata garlic bread which was nothing but a regular slice of pan toasted bread with burrata and some microgreens served with a very basic tomato sauce. There was no flavour of garlic. And 10 dollars for a slice of bread cut into 2. We also ordered the nashvile chicken. It came on a very regular slice of soggy bread and oil dripping in every bite. I could only taste the oil through the entire dish. The food took 30 minutes to arrive. We weren't handed the silverware for the longest time. Overall our experience was pretty disappointing.

I had seen fabulous photos of this place on social media so I thought I’d give it a go, but I was unfortunately disappointed with the food, atmosphere and overall experience. Note: If you’re visiting this place on a weekend, it’s a good idea to make reservations through Open Table. Atmosphere: Noisy and tight seating accommodations. For our anniversary, my husband and I sat at a small table uncomfortably close to other tables, in a small dim lit room. Not very accessible for plus-size people or people in wheelchairs. Food: We ordered the Burger and the S’mores pie (pictured below). The food is pricy, portions are ok, and the taste is ok. The drinks were beautifully crafted, but there are not many beer options. We ordered a couple Hurricane rum cocktails. Parking: We had to find street parking and walk about two blocks to get there. It would be great if there was a designated area for parking for their customers. Service: We had a very friendly waitress (named Isabelle I think?). She was very courteous, sweet & attentive. I hope I have her name tight because I would request to be served by her again if I ever visited a second time. The host was flexible enough to sit us at a table even though I had made reservations for bar seating. The bartender gentleman seemed very knowledgeable Overall- I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they made it more spacious and inclusive for all body types and for people of all abilities. Maybe during the week day it’s less crowded?

I enjoyed the concept and the selection at the bar was good. My husband requested a custom drink and a they did a great job. The waitress was nice, but her sweater was covered in animal hair. My water glass had dried food and hair in it. No biggie, got a new glass. I ordered the invincible goose for a drink. It was like drinking pure lime juice. Terrible and hurt my teeth. The kind waitress got me a new cocktail no problem. Then we got apps. The brussel sprouts were soggy. The menu Said that they were supposed to be roasted but they might as well have been steamed. No char or texture. Just mush. The filo feta rolls were soggy as well and the feta was overpowering. On to the main course as we crossed our fingers that it would be an improvement. The seared tuna was solid sinu. Like tuna bubblegum. I could hardly get the fork into it. The ribeye special had good flavor but the meat was such poor quality. It was a very thin cut of 90% fat and grizzle. Plus they dont let you pick how you want it cooked. We left as soon as we could never to return. So much for our anniversary dinner. 😩

Went here to check it out. What a joke. $15 for a cup of ice cocktail. I don’t like being conned. I don’t mind paying for quality, but don’t rip people off. You won’t sell more drinks, you’ll just lose customers. Avoid the disappointment and don’t go.

B
Bobby Inman

Tried going in at 10pm and they denied us. Almost like they don’t care about our business. They are open till 1am but they pretended like they close at 10pm. Very distrustful. The employees are very rude. Avoid this place. Trust me

A
Anna Manning

Very cute atmosphere however it was painfully hot and our waitress was very rude. We were a younger group and only came in for drinks and we felt very unwelcome. It also took a very long time to put in orders and for our drinks to come out. We weren’t planning to have full meals but either way we were never asked if we wanted to put food in. We felt like a nuisance to the server. Also when we waited to be let in to the “speakeasy” there was about ten of us awkwardly waiting in the ice cream shop. Many others exited the store and when we tried to enter we were quickly turned away. Overall very uncomfortable and awkward experience and we will not be returning.
