This was a great place to have lunch with friends. We all ordered sushi and shared with each other. The wait staff was friendly and always there to make sure was had everything we needed. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant time.

Love this place! It’s a date night favorite for my boyfriend and I. The food is always good and everything is done in a timely manner so we are never sitting there bored and hungry. I recommend sake bombs and a sushi roll as an appetizer. My only issue is the lighting at the hibachi tables, it can be overbearing and in your face in some places, I’ve adjusted my seating to accommodate but that’s really my only issue. Love this place

I have to give a 5 star review to this SHOGUN location in Atascocita. I drive 15 miles passing other similar restaurants to experience this one. The manager, Miss Mary, always treats me like a king when I come in. When I call in my order, they know me be name. “4 Philadelphia Rolls with fresh salmon”! I want to give a Shout Out to LAUREN AND RAEGAN who were amazing serving. I have wanted to write a review, after along time, and tell that the service is top notch and impressed my family that came in for overseas. I ONLY WRITE REVIEWS IF I AM IMPRESSED! This is the best restaurant I have ever been too. The staff is infinitely courteous and respectful, I’ve never had a bad server. The food is always perfect I even started asking what they recommend because I haven’t had a bad dish yet. I will continue to spend money here as long as they are open.

EXCELLENT quality and service! We've been here several times and between the Hibachi Grill and other times we've ordered in the other dining areas we've never been disappointed. I've been to this restaurant multiple times, and I still absolutely love it! Recently, I celebrated my birthday lunch here with friends, and it was such a delightful experience. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was when the crew sang "Happy Birthday" with fun Japanese-themed props, making the celebration even more special and entertaining. It was such a joyful and memorable moment! Just finished have my grandma's birthday dinner. Lovely experience server was very attentive and friendly around the clock check ups making sure our meals were perfect. The chef literally full of laughs a good man with mad skills. The food was perfect I had chicken and salmon the chicken was perfect as usual but the salmon don't usually eat fish but wanted to give it a try and I'm glad I did. Was seasoned well, juicy and did par well with both dipping sauces. Will always recommend this place.

I met my daughter here for lunch a couple days ago. We didn't do the hibachi table but took a booth instead. Our server was very cheerful and pleasant. She got our order accurate and checked on us from time to time. Our food was fresh and nicely prepared. The atmosphere is comfortable and the surroundings are clean. I was very pleased with my experience.

Our chef was attentive, generous, and put on a good show. The kids loved the fire and a surprise bottle used to put out an extra flame or two. Food was great. The meat was nice and tender, well seasoned and well portioned. I had chicken teppanyaki and fried rice. Veggies were lightly cooked and retained a crunchy texture. The waitress was swinging by often to check on drinks and other needs. It wasn't super busy, but a few birthdays had staff putting on a show to celebrate.

Every year our family comes here for dinner. The food and atmosphere are consistently great. The gentleman cooking was wonderful. The thing that stood out the most this visit was our waitress Emma. She was so full of spirit and joy to the point of being radiant. We all have days where we excel and days where we’re not at our best. Maybe it was her first day or maybe she had just won the lottery. But whatever it was, her happiness was infectious. Thank you for another memorable dinner there and please express our gratitude for the amazing job that she did. Thank you.

They have a really good happy hour menu. The sushi is delicious here. Also, my daughter loves the chicken kids meal. The picture below is of the kids meal.

Dining at the Atascocita Shogun was a great experience. Our waitress Jannett greeted us with a friendly smile. She welcomed us to Shogun and provided exceptional customer service. The salmon dinner was prepared perfectly. We highly recommend Atascocita Shogun and Jannett.

The chef was AMAZING and we took my mother there for her 75th birthday as she had never been to hibachi before. We also took my daughter my son-in-law and my three year old grandson who absolutely loves the show! The portions are so huge so we always end up with a second meal to take home which tastes just as delicious next day. The interior could use a little upgrade but very clean and friendly. Very affordable & the food is mouth-watering!

I do not usually write reviews however I was so impressed with my experience here starting on. Saturday evening at 6:00 for 6 without reservations. The greeter/hostess was extremely nice and easy to talk to. It seemed that they had several reservations and had a large party of 35 coming at 7:00. After I walked in there were 4 others that walked in without reservations that also had 5-6 in each party. They regrouped, figured out how to manage all this and we were seated quickly. Then the chaos continued when my 5 year old grandson spilled a whole cup of sweet tea directly on the grill. This burned a large black circle on the grill that could not be removed. They tried to no avail then cleaned and cooked around the circle. Then my son somehow broke a glass on the floor that needed to be cleaned up. My family has never had an episode like all this before thank goodness but all the employees handled it all with grace and did provide a very pleasant experience in spite of our mayhem. I felt so bad for them but was so impressed with their hospitality. As we were leaving the group of 35 was arriving. They were all very impressive. I will definitely go back and hopefully without the mayhem.

Customer service was good. Our server was friendly and attentive to our needs. The chef did his thing and the food was good. My only was te foul smell inside. No sure what it was. However, I would go back and recommend.

Enjoyed the food and watching the chef at the grill. Unfortunately we didn't have the most energetic chef. Another group had the most entertaining and energetic chef. He kept them entertained and laughing from the the time he started. Overall I enjoyed the food and will give it another try.

My wife and I went on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated promptly and the service flowed at the pace I would have expected in a hibachi restaurant. Our chef performed all the typical routines so it wasn't a wow factor there and my wife's chicken did have a few tough pieces. I had the filet and shrimp with the steak cooked medium rare and it was fantastic. We will return for dates and special occasions but I wouldn't eat there all the time and don't expect the prices to be any cheaper than they were.

I went in and ordered sushi for the 1st time there. Service was great wonderful waitress. But my the rice under my raw fish was still warm so it warmed the tuna a little NOT GOOD.

Food was better than expected. Our chef was good but just said oh wow in a monotone fashion after every step. Fried rice was great and filet mignon was super tender.

The staff was very friendly. As a matter of fact it was a highlight. The food is decent. It is nothing mind blowing, however when I was finished my stomach was in a way craving more. Back to the staff. Our chef was very funny and he kept us entertained with jokes and tricks. Overall it is a good experience and I would love to go again.

Came for lunch I enjoyed my time and my food. And the price wasn't bad. Ordered a Philadelphia roll and it was all right not the best I probably wouldn't order that again. But I enjoyed my shrimp and steamed rice the chef is nice and the staff was nice I would return. It was a pretty good experience.

Hibachi was delicious and chef was fun and engaging. Bar needs to be trained more on mixed drinks...3 different drinks ordered did not taste as they should have. A cosmo doesn't have cherry juice!

The food was delicious! Servers were quick. The restaurant itself looked very clean and modern. Would completely recommend the sushi. I wouldn't suggest bring small kids since the portions are pretty big.

Overall I thought this place was pretty good. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food portions for the price were decent. The food wasn't over salty which is a big plus. There wasn't any room at the table where the chef cooks the food, which is a highlight and why we go to these places. It was about a 20-30 minute wait, which was a bummer. We opted to just sit at a booth. The only thing was the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked but I would definitely visit again.

Went there to grab a quick bite, we ordered two orders of shaggy roll, OMG roll and a bowl of yakisoba. Sushi rolls were good, we enjoyed it. On the other hand, yakisoba was very salty and tasted more like soaked soy sauce. Overall experience was good, clean and nice place.

The experience was decent. I loved how everything was made in front of you. There was a bit of a wait with getting our food but the drinks kept us company. The server was a little slow with getting refills and getting the correct orders (forgot my appetizer that I ordered) but overall it was a decent experience. I order the chicken with fried rice and the chicken was over cooked and dry. The hurricane drink wasn't strong enough for me. The Margarita and Long Island were definitely better. The tab was definitely pricy but I appreciated them stamping that there was an 18% gratuity already added.

The Shogun is a nice Japanese / Asian restaurant in Atascocita with potential to 5 stars. The waiting staff is very nice, the food offers are a great selection and variety of standard items. There are great lunch options available Monday to Friday. However the dishes are a bit too oil-laden for my taste.

Ordered filet hibachi dinner. They served me a smashed rare ribeye to try and imitate the filet as seen by the tendons and fat in the picture. They did comp the meal despite me just asking to be charged appropriately for the steak. Unfortunate because the first time I came to this location, food and service were wonderful so I tipped $100. I will most likely return because I love hibachi, just didn’t appreciate the underhanded tactic.

Ac is not enough over hibachi area. Sweating after dinner. Had diarrhea after the dinner too. I’m not sure if thats caused by the food. Both family members had diarrhea after this.

I like to go to places like this for the excitement created by the cook I didn’t receive that at all. I said it up front when I walked I want a show but no show was received. Food was good though. While in the process of eating we were asked if we wanted to go plates as if we had been done eating. A waste of my money and time. I ate some of this because I was starving and on bed rest. Rice was just plain but a lot of it. I asked to sub it for shrimp fried rice and was told it couldn’t be done. I ordered shrimp and scallop as my entree which I felt shorted. I had a side of yakisoba and I didn’t eat it. It was stiff and unpleasant. I ordered a large shrimp fried rice for my kids and they enjoyed it. I asked for yum yum but received salad dressing only. I wouldn’t come here again at least not this location. I only gave some stars due to the kids liking the rice.

First time here with my Husband on my birthday. Customer service is 5 stars but the food is a 3. Ate at the Hibachi grill and the seasoning was awful. Just plain and no flavor. The best thing was the crispy chicken roll. We really enjoyed that. The grill was totally clean and we did not get a soup and salad that comes with the meal. Made my lunch date a little soggy. But dinner will be much better.

I was greeted so kindly by the hostess and placed a to go order. I tried to customize the order but the restaurant wasn't able to modify their menu item to accommodate my special request. I just wanted one more shrimp. I ended up ordering an additional tempura order and I m so glad I did. These leftovers will be a delight to get reacquainted with in about an hour. The Tempura batter is good and plain and I wish it would have been 4 shrimp instead of three. Gyozas are good. The vegetables in the order of tempura were really nice and the texture was good.

I went there for the 1st time for lunch. I was not impressed. Probably won't go for a 2nd meal. I had grilled chicken and vegetables,😐 Maybe different choices would be better but you'll never know from me.

The food was good, and the chef was fun, but the service was appalling. We had reservations for 7pm, but weren’t seated until 7:15pm, and we weren’t waited on until 7:30pm. Then the waitress lost our order and we had to reorder! What a nightmare. We finally ate around 8:30pm. To make things more aggravating, they added an 18% gratuity on our bill regardless of the awful service. Not sure we’ll be going back to this one.

The hibachi food was delicious. However, I had to request a clean wine glass twice (one had lipgloss print on rim of glass & the other had food residue on whole glass). The waitress seemed irritated when requested. Eventually, I asked for a beer as it seems I couldn't get a clean glass. When the waitress brought back the beer bottle, she slammed it on the table. Really messed up the experience. Likely will not go back.

We each got carry out teriyaki steak, and requested in the ordering section as medium rare. The steak was seriously over cooked - I’d call it cooked to at least medium well. Consequently the steak was cooked to dry and chewy. And didn’t taste any teriyaki. These were $27 each. Any cook who is unable to differentiate between medium rare and medium well should be retrained. If the cook knew what it should have been but chose to not care for customer choices, should be terminated.

I really used to like this place. However on my last visit. There was a moldy smell and it was rather warm inside. It took quite some time for our chef to come out. When he finally did, he was friendly and very entertaining. Unfortunately, the rice was hard and the food was salty.

This is not a hibachi experience, just live cooking. I've been to multiple other hibachi restaurants, and they've all wowed the table with a performance. This one had no performance just live cooking. The only reason for 2* is the food was good. But the restaurant needs to work on their cleaning routine I had a very unappetizing view of gunk.

Steven was absolutely vile and so rude. When doing the "onion train" I was recording to send to my husband who is out of town, Steven says "are you taking a picture?" I said "something like that" and he immediately chops the onion up and stops the "performance" then moments later he squirted the flammable liquid on my plate in front of me and said "now take a picture" and he was not acting or speaking in a playful manner. Completely ruined the experience and entire meal. I did not pay $160 for me and my kids to have someone behave that way. However Beto was amazing and very attentive.

The food was amazing. But there was a table of people That was entirely to loud.. With no respect for others. I even asked the waitress to ask them to turn it down just a notch.. But she's just walked the other way.

Wow. Are you joking me? I went to shogun with friends for a hibachi grill experience since it was close and thought it would be fun. Boy, was I wrong. It was a busy time and day so when they told us we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated it was expected. but once we got to our table, we waited an hour and fifteen minutes until we received a chef. honestly at that point we were all relieved to eat but we received our chicken undercooked and much to the consistency of rubber. you would think they would give us a bit of nice treatment after waiting that long, but all we received was a 10% discount which basically cancelled out because the tip was included. there was a very large communication gap between the manager and us and it was very ridiculous. They were discussing food portions we received when our worry was getting sick and waiting for a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes for bad food. And the first time we received our checks, only one of us got the discount. I will NEVER be coming back here because of how poor this experience was and i do not recommend this place at all.

Let’s just say they need to wear gloves when cooking, the place needs to cleaned and new dishes and silverware are absolutely needed. The waitress touches your food without gloves and spills drinks everywhere but still gives it to you as is. It’s not really a hibachi place per say. The salad was not good. Never received the onion soup.. got the veggies at the end of the meal. We were sat with people celebrating a birthday so everything was catered towards them even though we were paying customers also. Overall I would never go to Shoguns again.

This is the second time I have gone. The first time I went I said at a regular table. The food was okay but not great which I expect when you sit at a regular table versus The Hibachi Table. The second time I decided to sit at the Hibachi Table but the food was even worse than before. The cook barely seasoned anything including the rice let alone the meat. The meat was so Bland it's as if he didn't even put seasoning on it. He also did not do many tricks nor could you hear a word he was saying when he decided to talk. They must have been short-staffed because the waitress was serving another Hibachi Table and we kept running out of drinks. The waitress also screwed up when serving our drinks. I don't think a 3rd time is a charm so I won't be returning for a 3rd time. They also add gratuity to your bill.

Overall underwhelming. The sushi was good, but the hibachi was off-putting. The rice was not exactly seasoned. The filet mignon was definitely just taken out of the fridge and not allowed to come up to room temperature since the center of the cuts were pretty cold. Service was great. Just wish the food was better.

My sons and I visited this particular location on last Friday, October 18, 2024. Our food was great. I'm giving it a one star because Lilianna dropped extremely hot soup, and if It wasn't for my fast thinking, it would have fallen right onto my sons lap. I saw the soup getting ready to fall and when it did, I pulled my son's chair back quickly and the soup got on his chair and the rest on the floor. Talk about a lawsuit! She was moving and walking around the restaurant so fast, which is why it caused her to drop it. Smh. She never called a manager or even asked if my son was ok. She brought him some napkins and said "sorry." We definitely will not be back.

Staff is extremely rude and incompetent. They gave my pickup order to the wrong person and would not under any circumstances remake it for me so I just had to leave empty-handed without my dinner that I ordered. I don't understand what kind of management would turn down business like that or treat a customer like that whenever they screwed up on their end and just don't want to admit it so they are blaming me and saying that I already picked up my order which I absolutely did not. I sat up at the restaurant for almost an hour trying to figure out what they were doing for me because they were going back and forth saying they were going to remake it and then saying they were not going to remake it and ultimately it ended up being not remade and they would not even re-enter the order. I changed my reading from a five star to a one-star and I find that that manager is just trying to get away with her own screw-ups rather than admitting fault.

I’ve tried this location 3x times now because I wanted to provide a good and fair review. 2/3 of my experiences have been less than desirable but yesterday took the cake. From arrival, the waitress was extremely rude. My mother and I were talking and she yelled at my mother, lady what do you want to drink. From there it went down hill. At our table was my family of 4 and another family of 6. The mother from the other family forgot to let the waitress know she was allergic to carrots. When the chef came out, hector, she immediately told him. He was visibly irritated and he and the waitress went back and forth about it right in front of us. After that, he prepared our food in silence, no tricks, stone face, and ignored any requests we made for our food. There were children at the table excited to see the trucks and he could care less. All of the food tasted very bland and overcooked. I spoke with the manager and she just smiled and acted as if she had no clue what I was saying. No apologies, no questions asked just smiled. I will never come back to this location. This was a total waste of my money and moreover, my time which I can’t get that back.

BEWARE! I went to this location in July I paid like normal and went on my way and haven't been back. Fast forward 4 months later I get a crazy charge from them. I called and ask and the manager Mary said oh there's a technical issue and customers were being charged. I said that's unacceptable and I needed this resolved and my money back. All she said was the credit card company is looking into it. I still have no idea when I'll be refunded...

A usual favorite, today was a total disaster. Really bad service, probably a new, not well trained waitress. The lobster roll didn't have any lobster and the taste was different from previous time ordered, same with the fried rice, not the same flavor as we're used to. Not sure what happened, totally disappointed. Will not be eating here again.

Normally we love going here but on our last visit we did the hibachi and the cook barely even put on a show and pretty much ignored my party because he was busy chatting with another family at the table. First we waited for a good 45 minutes before he even came over to cook. The he chatted so much to where he couldn't cook and talk at the same time. Another cook started at another table after him and finished at least 15 mins before our cook. I asked for sauce and he didn't give it to me and had to ask again. When I talked to the manager she said he is sometimes like a child and did very little to make up for the situation.

We had a very disappointing experience tonight at Shogun Hibachi. Unfortunately, our chef, Julian, was rude and not engaging at all. Part of the fun of hibachi is the interactive and entertaining atmosphere, but we felt uncomfortable throughout the meal. His demeanor completely changed the tone of our evening and made what should have been an enjoyable dinner very unpleasant. We hope management addresses this, as the chef’s attitude significantly impacted our experience.

Ordered some sushi online. I waited until it was supposed to be ready and after I got an alert that it was completed and ready before I arrived. When I got there, they couldn’t find my order and eventually discovered that it had printed correctly, but they had just misplaced the receipt or something (very vague excuse). I Had to wait as they cooked it from the beginning (over 20 minutes). Very frustrating since I ordered ahead and was in a time crunch with kids waiting in the car.

This is absurd. I came on Christmas Eve ordered a large chicken fried rice and they gave me Covid/a sickness whoever cooked the food and whoever’s cooking. The food at shotgun is sick. I’m still sick six days later. There is no way I shouldn’t be getting a refund is there anyway That I can report this or something cause I shouldn’t be getting sick from eating food from a cook that’s sick cooking probably spitting in food. Whatever is going on because I got overly sick. I do not recommend this place at all. They will get you sick. They have flys flying everywhere. They cook is literally or literally has Covid

Be sure you bring cash to pay for your food, or expect to get charged twice if you use a bank card. I was told the transaction didn't go through and when I showed them my bank account where the whole amount was charged on my card they said they didnt get it and that money would be refunded in 10 mins, 15 mins at most. They were insistent on charging my card again thougg I declined bcuz it showed the money had been pulled on my end. So the owner says ok we'll wait a few more minutes ...finally I just asked my son to pay the bill again. The owner gave us a $5 discount for the trouble of paying again. Over 2 hours later, take a guess if we received the first charge back? Definitely NOT! So they got double payment (minus $5 discount) for our food we ordered. Mind you, we normally go to this place at least twice a month for a long time now....BUT after this...I'm pretty upset!

Food was average BUT the portions were very small. When I questioned it, I was told that “the cook knew how to measure it”. I don’t mind spending money on food but that was ridiculous !! We had a group of at least 15 plus people who felt the same.
