1st time there. Bartender was great. Good monday food special, burger, fries and beer for $12. Raffle and bingo for free. Fun atmosphere. Friendly regulars made you feel welcomed. Definitely coming back.

Great place to grab grub (burgers, sandwiches and salads) it's popular for the lobster roll but I went with the steak cobb salad. They're offering outdoor (front and back) dining during covid, highly recommended and excellent service!

Love this place. We spent our mornings at Huntington Beach with our 2 big dogs and came here most days for lunch. It's a cozy place with a sizeable back patio. They have a front patio also but the back has less people and you can spread out more if you are bringing dogs or children! We like to share a meal for lunch and have a drink. They don't charge extra for splitting a meal and bring the food in 2 identical plates. The food was great, and we will definitely go back whenever we are in the area. We had sandwiches and salads and it was plenty of food. The side salad had greens, chopped tomatoes and croutons. They have great choices of beer (loved the Mango) and plenty of choices for the IPA lovers. The wait staff is friendly and really accommodating. We parked on a side street, generally 2 blocks away. There is closer parking if you do meter parking.

Whether you want to enjoy a great meal or enjoy a game, you need to try Longboards! The service is always timely with all the orders. There is great love and communication with the customers from all the servers. The TV Screens are everywhere and they carry every sport Moving onto the food: it is delicious and has great value. The food itself is varied and they have some items you can find nowhere else in Huntington Beach. The freshness of the food is definitely a major plus. The cooks are consistent with very high quality ingredients and recipes . Overall, I would definitely recommend you to try it. I have been dining here for many years and will be a customer for life. In addition this is a great neighborhood spot that most locals have known and loved for decades. Relaxed atmosphere with a menu that has something delicious for everyone. Great experience here! Large deep dish pizza is half off on Mondays. Wasn’t very cheesy but made up for that with all the toppings. The pizookie was excellent! I would go back just to get that and nothing else. We sat outside, loved it!

Was really happy with the food and drinks here. The club sandwich was so delicious. Didn’t get a picture before it was devoured. The guacamole was also amazing. BJ’s berry cider was a sweet light drink that went perfect with everything.

Great fish-and-chips! fries are fresh cut batter is wonderful, crispy but not dry like u have to rely on tartar sauce. Enjoyed sliders too n salad was ok. Ate outside by sidewalk to avoid people.

Pretty good. I enjoyed the veggie breakfast burrito. Seems like a family run spot, I like that. Service was good and they weren’t blaring top 5 hit songs at volume 10 either… thats a plus… nice to talk and eat and not feel like you’re back in a club at 9 am.

After playing in the beach and found this place to have a dinner... wow, it’s so crowded. . . The food was okay, we got here about 7pm and the waiting time is pretty takes a little bit longer for the food. . . Mostly they serve finger food, the beer is good. . I forgot the name for the beer, but taste like mango and it’s pretty light. . .

This is great neighborhood spot. Laid-back atmosphere with a huge menu with something for everyone, the lobster roll and wings are my favorites! The service can be a little slower when its busy, but they're always friendly. And you really can't go wrong enjoying a meal in downtown HB!

Food tastes great but I upgraded from fries to onion rings for $3.49 and I got a whopping 5 onion rings. 5. Are you kidding. For $3.49 plus my fries I got a whole 5 onion rings. There should be a warning on the menu.

I would love to give this restaurant five stars. They have, quite possibly, the best deal on lobster in all of the LA area. I had excellent lobster, great service, a nice environment, good beer, and would like to go back. However… I had two, glaring issues with my meal. One, the “new potatoes“ that I was served were old and rather bitter. One of the ways I KNEW that they were old was that there were roots coming out of every one of them. That is a clear sign that the potatoes are past their prime. As this happens, the sugars in the potato are converted more to starch and they become bitter. Second, the piece of corn that I was given with my meal was a bit ridiculous. It looked like someone had already taken a bite out of it, the kernels were small, and it had exactly 0 flavor. The one they replaced it with only omitted the bite off of the end. I would say that this is definitely worth your while to try, be prepared to be your own advocate for minor issues.

On Saturday, 09/20/2025, around 10:20 pm, my husband and I went to the bar at this location. Although closing time was midnight, the bartender kept focusing on cleaning (including the beer taps) and did not assist us; when we asked for the menu, we were ignored. A couple next to us experienced the same. We’re regulars (here and at the Beach Boulevard unit), which made this especially disappointing. I understand closing routines, but effectively stopping service 1 hour and 40 minutes before closing does not meet the brand’s standard. It felt like the priority was wrapping up cleaning and going home, not the guest experience. After this, we’ll reconsider coming back

The service was pretty awful. For a table of 8 people, the server did not pay attention at all. Ordered beers, beers came in 30 minutes after order (5 min before the food). Even other tables around ordered after us, but got their drink way sooner. Food was normal, meeting minimum quality.

Well, since this was my birthday when I visited BJ's, I was a little disappointed! After all when you go to a restaurant for your Birthday, you expect service, not to be sat at your booth then ignored for about 10-minutes (maybe it was my age? I wasn't young enough for this location?) Finally, when someone came to ask me if I would like a "drink" I chose water and Iced Tea. When the server returned with my beverage, I told them I was ready to order, the server almost appeared annoyed as if I had inconvenienced him/her. Maybe I am a little picky, but when you have been a server, you know how You like to be treated. I proceeded to order my meal, which consisted of the Caprese salad, with Ribs, Chicken and a loaded baked potato! All I can say, is at least the food was good, since the service left a lot to be desired! So something that you are offered as a birthday person is the Pizooki! Which interesting enough the server that had waited on me at the time, only offered my two choices of the Pizooki, but when the other person arrived and had his meal he was offered a variety of Pizookis'! Food really not that great. The ambiance on the outside patio & the service of the crew was awesome though. The clam chowder was too salty we had to return it. The fish in the fish & chips was soggy. Was not crispy at all (see pic). The burger was okay but it did not wow me. Experience not that great so probably would not go back.

I have to post this because I’ve walked by this place 2x since moving to HB and both times either the host, the mgr, or the bartender have said something to allude to scammers and displayed an attitude of mistrust towards me. I’m dressed as a person who would dine in a restaurant so not sure where their suspicious attitude comes from towards me! I’ve enjoyed BJ’s Restaurants in other cities, and was excited to see one here, but I will never go to this one ever! I guess they don’t need my business since they’re in a very busy spot of Huntington Beach . Street parking only. Hopefully Corporate will see this and many other NEGATIVE Reviews and look into this particular BJ’s location—no excuse for the awful attitudes and dirty tables, plates, silverware, and subpar food! After reading some of these negative reviews, I’m afraid to eat here for fear of food poisoning or other illnesses associated with a filthy place!

My husband and I were hoping to have a nice dinner at this restaurant on sunday evening, but everything seemed to go from bad to worse, the girls at the reception were completely antisocial and reluctantly gave us a table apparently they were to lazy then the Asian waiter took forever to take our order, we asked for water to drink and the water had an unpleasant smell of public toilet water. The food order took more than 45 minutes, and he arrived with only one plate of food, forgetting the rest of the order so we couldn't eat together. To make dinner even more terrifying, the plates and silver wear were dirty so we had to ask for replacements and wait even longer. When it was time to pay, the waiter brought the check book without our card. Who knows if he lost the card or stole it. We asked to speak to the manager who had 0 professionalism and no solution at all for us, apparently he doesn't have access to the security cameras to verify what happened. I will never return to this place. I warn anyone who wants to save themselves a bad time.

I came in with my wife on Sunday evening, and unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. After being seated, it took the waiter nearly 20 minutes just to approach us for drinks. Once we finally placed our order, we waited 40 minutes for food, and even then, our salad was forgotten. The silverware and plates were dirty, and when we asked for replacements, the waiter disappeared for about 8 minutes before bringing anything back. Throughout the night, he seemed distracted, almost like he was physically present but not mentally there. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely disappointing—the broccoli was hard, and the chicken was undercooked. To make matters worse, after charging my card, the waiter lost my credit card and handed me the checkbook without it. The manager’s response was dismissive, simply saying, “I don’t know where your card is, sorry for the inconvenience.” Overall, this restaurant failed in service, cleanliness, food quality, and basic professionalism. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

Specifically the server Rebeca M or whatever the hell her name is, she needs to go back to the hiring training and learn some dang customer skills. The food was brought out late, and the food was horrible. I can make this food better at home, I even contemplated walking out before my food got here because I might have made it home before the food got to my table. ZERO!/10
