This place has a tendency to sell out so fast that myself, as a local, haven't been able to catch them open once! Kudos to an amazing business with an amazing product and wonderful ownership. A true legend in Imperial Beach, you absolutely must have donuts here if you come through in the early morning. I caught Cliff as the very first customer this morning at 6:00am My first experience and I left feeling like I met with a celebrity!! 🤩 Love the cinnamon rolls 💖🍩can't wait to have to wake up this early again!

This is an amazing Donut stand on the way in and out of Coronado on hwy 75 in Imperial Beach. Cinnamon rolls are to die for and old fashioned chocolate is a time machine back to when I was a kid.

Best donuts in San Diego, if not the world! My parents and grandparents have been coming here since forever. The two brothers that run the show take care of each batch made and take pride in their work. Some days they run out early because everybody wants some. So get there when they open or shortly after. I will take your donuts from you if you ain't around. Peanut butter and chocolate donut is a great one. Same with the German chocolate. Maple bar is great. Honestly, it's all dank. Just get there early. Or I'll take them donuts.

This place is the real deal. I've been trying to get donuts here for awhile, but it hasn't been open when I've been in the area. So I was pleased last week when I drove by and spotted a short line outside. The German chocolate donut was really fantastic. Perfectly baked, crisp on the outside, and perfectly sweet. Just remember, it's cash only!

Top notch baking goods. Served by an old Sole. Good coffee and will be back. The cinnamon and maple baked goods that fantastic. But do sell out fast

Amongst the best doughnuts I have ever had the pleasure of eating! I have been getting (eating) doughnuts from Star Dust since I was old enough to eat solid foods and I will be a return customer until they decide to retire. I always recommend this place to friends and family from out of town when they come down for a visit. The old fashioned and the cinnamon rolls are always my go to, but everything they make is absolute delicious perfection.

Definitely recommend the simplicity of the donuts here. Cinnamon rolls, old fashions and glazed donuts are just delicious! Hours vary but if you catch him open, stop by. Cash only.

I stopped there years ago having no idea what to expect. Middle of the day. 2 guys were still making donuts. I asked them what was best. They told me whatever they just made. I had one. My brother in law had one. It was so good, we made a U-turn and went back to get another one. I have never forgotten this place and recommend it to everyone going anywhere near it.

So. I had lived in IB for a long time and never really paid much attention to this little donut shop. Then, I noticed it. And then, I noticed it was never open when I drove by. Then, I stopped and read the signage. There was this snarky sign posted that had the hours listed as something like "whenever I feel like it" and I was intrigued. So days went by... weeks went by... a month went by... started to lose hope. Then I gave up, went home and never ate a donut again and cried. KIDDING! This story has a happy ending, kids! And that happy ending is, I was driving to work and was SUPER EXCITED when I saw the sign said OPEN! I pulled up... ordered a maple bar, cinnamon roll, and classic glazed... and was sold after a bite of each! I saved them and took them home for my boyfriend to try like a sacred prize and he thought they were great, even after sitting around all day. Funny enough, we ran into the shop being open 2-3 times after this, and we got fresh donuts a few times, and they were always great. The baker/ owner is quirky and seems a little angry, but he reminded me of my Dad, so I knew he probably was a happy guy underneath. If not, he was still cool, and makes some awesome donuts. If you see the OPEN sign up, be sure to swing by!

The donuts were pretty tasty, and for those saying the cinnamon rolls aren't that good, There's a difference between cinnamon rolls and cinnamon Buns (buns are sold here, not rolls) so, they're pretty good. Maybe getting someone to help out in front to make for a more streamline process would help, but again, it's my first impression Overall, definitely good eats

As he was bagging my "fesh nuts"...I asked him if he was having a good day, he said "I said I'm fine thank you". This man is definitely an introvert, and he intrigued me. The donuts are small and tasty. I do taste the salty lard in them and it's delicious. I like the salty, sweet flavor. Do not come here expecting service with a smile, lol.

I love donuts but the guy who owns it is very rude I told him oh ur open he goes yeah can't u ready god damn sign n my kids were right next to me I was almost not gonna buy any donuts but my kids n at that he over charge me $5 for 3 doubts. plus he opens late n closes early make no since plus he don't have a variety of doughnuts to choose from and that he's not always open like he says he is I rather go to Yum Yum Donuts any day..

Third, the same man was working and when my friend and I tried to pay with a $20 bill he said he wouldn't accept big bills... so maybe save some $1's I guess. I've never had a store turn away business. Without a doubt this is the worst attitude and service I've ever received at any restaurant. The donuts are average and the service/attitude is awful. I strongly recommend anywhere else and buying a donut only the first time visiting is enough. Mediocre product with awful service.
