Great neighborhood bar that showcases awesome local musical talent. It also doesn't hurt they have the best IPAs available on tap at great prices. Not to mention that Wednesday has Happy Hour specials all day long! Simply the best dive bar since the late Foggy's Notion. I will continue to frequent this establishment.

I love this bar. I've been coming here since I've been old enough to drink and it's just gotten better and better. A chill environment with awesome live music on the weekends, karaoke, and great drink specials. Can't recommend this place enough.

This place is literally the best bar in IB. Sound system sounds fantastic and there is always a good mix of bands and dj’s. Drink specials every day.

I have watched this movie "13th hours, the secret soldiers of Benghazi" today and was very sad. Then I wondered about the US embassy attack and read it on wikipedi. I realized one of the security staff Tyrone Woods used to own the salty frog bar. So I googled this bar and was glad that it is still in business. I will visit this bar and drink for the souls of our fallen soldiers. GOD bless USA

Fantastic place to grab a drink and hang out. They have several events through the week to spice things up. Good crowd and good service. Pool tables could use some love but overall, I love the place.

Bar staff, is cool, lighting and decor attract a fun crowd, parking sucks, but this is the only bar I visited twice on my vacation in San Diego, so yeah pretty great bar.

My Bar from now on whenever I feel like shaking my booty. I went to this bar twice. Once on a Friday and the last time was on a Saturday night. Their live bands were awesome! I had a great time and had the dance floor all to myself. Definitely going to be my hang out bar from now on. P.S. folks....if you happen to see me, please give me a little room for me to twirl around and dance the night away. And one more thing...look but don't touch. Thank you.

I've only been twice for karaoke and both times were so fun. Jason the DJ is so much fun and the bartenders are friendly and make a stiff drink.

We have visited a few times (12 or so), we like live music and have watched John Solinski and Gabe Wright play here, during the afternoon drinks are very affordable for key west, food portions are generous and my wife and I often split a dish, which they kindly seperate on to two plates. Drink prices after 5pm(ish) are a little high in my opinion, but this restaurant is trying for the Mallory Square crowd, so their happy hour has a little different timing to other restaurants. Overall - like the music, like the staff, food is decent and Salty Frog has become one of our regular haunts. I was fortunate enough to be able to play a song or two on stage here, John always tries to the audience involved!

Honestly we've all missed this place and now they're back with a great new look about the place. Thursday's they do karaoke and then Fridays and Saturdays they have live music! With a great tap list and whatever kind of liquor you want, why wouldn't you go.Go check em out you won't be disappointed

This is a pretty small dive bar near the beach. They have friendly bartenders, decent priced drinks. Live entertainment, karaoke nights, pool tables, DJ, and this bell rule that if you ring it you have to buy everyone a drink. Great place for friends and to pass the time.

Went to the Salty Frog Bar to watch some live music bands and was not disappointed! Great local bands playing their sets, full bar available, free popcorn, and a small selection of draft beers including a couple local IPAs. Had a great time here and will be back!

I've lived in the neighborhood for 35 plus years and never thought I would step foot inside Salty Dog bar. Being a non frequent drinker, hole-in-the wall bars just never caught my fancy. And, only then will I entertain a night out unless I'm with the right group of people. I've been to this bar several times now and it's been nothing but good old fashion fun. You can be yourself and no one bothers you. It's not crazy crowded, at least when I've been there during the weekdays. I can actually find a seat at the bar or just lounge in the back area on a couch. There are also tables and chairs to choose from. There has been a DJ, live band, karaoke or just plain music jammin. The highlight for me: the bar tenders ! They were attentive and friendly. Shout out to Justin and I forgot young looking female bartender's name. Shout out to her too This bar may not be as lit and inviting looking from the outside, don't judge. Step inside, give it a try 👍🏼 Oh and see how many frogs you can find around the bar ...I counted about 15 plus.

South Bay’s best-kept secret. This place is always a vibe. Whether it’s locals singing karaoke or live music from local bands, there’s always something happening. I’ve lived in the South Bay for 8 years, and this has consistently been my go-to spot. Brandy is hands down my favorite bartender—I’ll come in specifically when I know she’s working. One of the owners, Brynn, also makes a star appearance behind the bar from time to time, and I love stopping in when she’s bartending as well. If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would.

They have live bands that play on Fridays and Saturdays. Some are good while others are awesome. Friendly staff and fast service. The crowds are friendly, young 20's to middle age. Free pool and they have 2 in the back.

The bartenders were outstanding. My only complaints are its in a weird part of town. They have an outstanding memorial and artwork dedicated to Veterans. Not to shabby, but would be 1000 times better if by the beach.

Bartender was on point. Drinks! Love a bad female bartender. She was very attentive. Pool tables, bar and sticks were clean. We had to order some food from a nearby spot. Be advised that no food is ordered here, so arrive full.

Have recently reviewed my posting of Salty Frog and previously have given a 2 star review. I am not sure why I did at the time but would like to revisit my review and mention that this is a place that is always open and is pleasantly served here. I love the live bands, open mike nights, and karaoke here. The bartenders can make as far as my experience goes, Anything! Thanks for your service Salty Frog! Special stars for Raven! 😉

Great music on the weekends and cold beer. The locals seem relaxed and friendly, we had a Banging time.

Fun little hole in the wall bar with live music and sports. Drinks are very affordable and bartenders are extremely friendly. The place could use a little love in the upkeep department such as replacing the bar stools and some finish on the stage but overall had a great time.

Had a good time with my buddy. We went on a karaoke night so had to sing a couple songs. Bartenders were friendly enough. DJ seemed new, but what stood out were the people there that night. Super friendly and positive crowd, enjoyed myself.

They couldn't make a simple rum and coke because they couldn't get the soda to pour. Switched the order to something on tap, but they couldn't get the tap to work either. Will trying to look into it the bartender screamed because she saw a cockroach. Not a good for there to be, let alone announce.

The ol gray mare just ain't what she used to be. But $2 happy hour drafts atract an interesting crowd.

Told the owner, who is the bar tender, that a customer just shouted “zeig heil” while sitting at her bar and that it was a nazi slogan. She feigned ignorance. I told her that if she has one Nazi in her bar then the whole bar is a nazi bar. Owner then got angry at me and told me to deal with it myself while having security come try to intimidate me. They just kept claiming they aren’t a nazi bar while not acknowledging what just happened or attempting to shut down racist customer behavior. IB has a long history of white supremacy that I thought had been wiped out. Apparently fascism is back in fashion. Disgusted. Paid for my one drink and left. Edit: awww poor owner realized nazism is rising at her bar and tries to censor my review?

I started a tab with my card, i asked the bar tender Blair that ill pay in cash and was still charged on my card... Calling my bank.

I enjoy the hole in the wall bar but this place collects the trash. I've tried multiple nights to enjoy this local bar; having rave lights in my face, bartenders that are not used to greeting anyone other than from their high school, and just the down right disrespect I felt being their, I HATE THIS PLACE. I will say, I know the history of this bar and expected much more from the people that worked their.

First time here, and I was not impressed. The bartenders look like they hate their jobs. Oh, and a pitcher of beer is $30 !!! It was the most expensive dive bar I've ever been to. And last time I'll ever go.

Food took over 20 minutes to arrive, while celebrating my sisters birthday, my sister was forced to leave after being told she had gotten sick on premises, I was with her the entire night and did not witness that happen once.

This was one of the most memorable nights Ive had in a long time. The bouncer at the door literally apologized to us BEFORE we walked in. It was comedy night. Instead there was a magician. If you could call him that. The MC of the whole thing was so high he forgot where he was. There was an older woman asleep at the bar. Like head down on the bar asleep. Drinks were watery. Seriously no redeaming qualities except that it was ridiculously bad.

Nasty,dirty,misfit crowd. Staff was partying more then customers. Staff allows customers to get extremely intoxicated, will not cut anyone off. Multiple drunken fights occurred in front of the bar. No police were called. Female stuff was rude, using inappropriate language. .

They say they are open at 1pm Sunday's I came at 1 pm and was not aloud inside to have a drink I know it's early but I like to have a "juicy" drink before work in the morning and was not aloud inside on Sunday when there ad says open at 1pm annoyed !!!

Another friend, my husband and I, all 61 yrs old, headed to the door after parking the car. The same security guy asked for my ID which I didn't have, and would not let me in. The friends inside had to leave bc of that. On the way out the friends that got in without being carded reminded the security he didn't card them and his reply was "I must not have been paying attention. A note to the owner: replace him. Either way he's going to lose you business. What if he "wasn't paying attention" and someone under 21 would have walked in? He sent 5, over 60 yr old, paying customers away. We're in from St. Louis....not a good impression.

They put a nice paint job on it. Still the same old place. Except now pool is .75 cents a table and a well drink costs $9. After the dollar tip I was playing $10. If it was supposed to be cheaper then the bartender was ripping us off! They did not have enough bartenders to cover the amount of people there. I stood there over 20 minutes waiting at the bar to pay my tab. I won't be going back.
