Morton's The Steakhouse - Indianapolis

Not sure what took me so long to visit, but had a perfect evening at the bar enjoying some snacks and drinks. Luke - and rose award nominee for service - was an excellent bartender and host. He makes a mean old fashioned and took great care when suggesting bar bites for the group.

Had a wonderful anniversary celebration at Morton's. Small touches from a customized menu, table decor, and dessert were very sweet. The service was great and the food fantastic!

The best food and service in Indianapolis. Todd was an attentive and hilarious server who took great care of us and recommended the perfect dishes for us. Very pricey but worth every dime and we will definitely be coming back.

I'd say this restaurant is tied for the best steakhouse in Indy along side Ruth's Chris. Morton's definitely has better seating and atmosphere. Service is always perfect and the steak is always amazing. If you haven't been yet, get the filet mignon and tell them it's your first time.

Was taken there for my birthday. Elegant scenery, soothing atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly waitress and great food. Dessert of my choice was presented as my birthday cake with a lit candle. This establish is awesome!

Went here with my Wife for the first time. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable restaurant experience we've had. As soon as we walked in we were impressed. The food is simply amazing and the service is out of this world. Our waiter Kea was polite, helpful and just all around great. We didnt have to wait or want for anything. He took very good care of us while we were there. Morton's as a whole is very clean and very professional, i can't say enough about it. A definite must see if in Indy!!

Morton's is only nice if you're looking for the best steak you've ever had!!! Lol. Never disappointed when we leave! Perfect steak. Perfect sides. Perfect service (Luke was awesome). Perfect dinner date to end 2019 on.

This place is amazing. Super cheap valet. The shrimp scampi pasta was superb. My husband had the pork chop. He said it was the best he's ever had. Creme brulee was good. Will definitely be back.

If you're a Landry's Select Club member, the filet and lobster tail are definitely the way to go, as they were perfectly prepared. The French onion soup was the best I've ever had, and each of the sides were better than the next (we had 4 between my wife and kids and I). Will definitely be coming back.

We ate in the bar. Limited seating but first class service and a special bar bites menu. Not a place to get in and out quickly but we enjoyed the experience. We haven't eaten in the main dining room so we can't compare it to any of the other downtown premium steakhouses.

Our server was fantastic! Didn’t rush us and explained the menu and was ver patient with us! The appetizers, filet and bone in ribeye were cooked to masterful perfection topped on with a bottle of sweet white wine! I love the atmosphere - only suggestion is a bit better lighting to allow aside read if the menus... GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

I can't "Describe my experience". I don't know how. Everything was so good. Literally the food was so delicious I am angry it had to end. The souffle was so amazing..... it made my WATER taste better! That's not a joke. This is the single best dining experience I've ever had.

The entire staff made us feel welcome and helped us celebrate our special occasion. From the personalized menus to the framed picture, they far exceeded our expectations. Our server, Nick, was attentive and made wonderful dinner recommendations, and I will vouch that the Cajun Ribeye is phenomenal. Thank you Morton’s for making our evening even more special and memorable.

Customer Service was Astounding. The Waiter was very educated on everything on the menu, the Manager was beyond nice to me and my fisncé. I CANNOT wait to get back. The blue cheese steak and the Cajun have to be the world's best steaks!

Excellent service and F& B quality for our buy out dinner with 110 guests. Highly recommend if looking for a large group dinner venue. Decor could use a refresh but totally acceptable atmosphere .

Morton's was the absolute bomb. Our waitress suggested her favorites, she checked on us constantly, she had a fabulous personality, she made us feel like we were the only one's there. We love her. The food, the salad, the soup, the bread, the steak and the dessert were fabulous times infinity. I will definitely be returning!!!

Had a great time celebrating our anniversary! Steaks were delicious. Desert was amazing. Would highly recommend. Not a cheap place to eat. But nice atmosphere for special occasions.

We had a gift card so we went for the first time! We happened upon Devour Downtown, so that was nice. Everything was delicious, from the bread to the French Onion soup, Chicken Christopher and Key Lime Pie. My husband said his steak was amazing and cooked perfectly. Rob was a very attentive and accomplished server. This restaurant has a cool old vibe in the basement. Oh, and my Lemom Drop martini was perfect!!

This is the best steakhouse in the city. Everything was cooked to perfection and the desserts were amazing! It is very pricey but worth the occasional visit to spoil yourself. The staff was very good and the chef really cater to my wife's dietary restrictions. Great place

Unbelievably fantastic.. definitely the best steak I have ever had. The service and the food we're totally 5 star. Everything from the awesome french onion soup, and the bacon wrapped scallops. To the oysters on the half shell and the delicious fresh baked bread were out of this world. The Cajun ribeye was to die for. I can't say enough how delicious everything was. Thank you for serving me such a fantastic meal, and one I will not soon forget.

5 stars don't even begin to describe how GREAT our whole experience was!! From the beginning, the valet attendants were extremely nice and professional. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary. We had personalized menus and a picture taken of us to celebrate the occasion!! The food was delicious!! Bacon wrapped scallops and a chopped salad. Bone in ribeye streak that melted in our mouths! Rack of Lamb, sour cream mashed potatoes and asparagus. We had a complimentary dessert to compete our meal. Morton's hot chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream! The food was so fantastic, but the service was impeccable!! The wonderful people working there are what made the experience unforgettable. They left no stone unturned when it came to taking care of our needs. Our server was perfect! Already planning our next trip back!

Love this restaurant. Meghan was our waitress and she was wonderful, as usual. Cindy is always a sweetheart. Incredible food. Steaks melt in your mouth. Sizable selection of wines. Lobster was delicious. Shrimp Alexander was amazing. Never a bad meal here. Nice, calm, romantic atmosphere. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Always enjoy our dining experience. HIGHLY recommend. Thank you for another fabulous family dinner.

This was our first time dining here as we were using a gift card we got for our anniversary. The food was everything we had heard raves about previously to our dining experience. The steaks were perfect. We went during Devour Indy and while the starter and sides was sub par; the steak, lobster, bread, and dessert was awesome. I think next time I go, I’ll just order a steak and the hot chocolate cake. Our waitress brought everything correctly and kept our water filled but she was so quiet and inattentive; was a little sad that the restaurant printed special menus for our anniversary and then she took them away without asking. But overall, you just can’t take any stars away for that steak and cake! Yum!!

Yummy! The mans and I went here for our 3 year anniversary & from start to finish, the service was excellent! I forgot our server's name but he was super nice! Drinks were excellent, the wagyu meatball appetizer was delicious, and the steaks were flavorful and cooked just right. We even got an on the house dessert! The manager came over and made sure we had no problems as well, and we got to take home a personalized menu & a black card picture of us with "happy anniversary" on it. By the time we took leftovers home, they gave us a full sized bread loaf instead of the half eaten one we had. Ambiance is great and it was one of the most memorable anniversaries I've ever had. :)

I had dinner here with several co-workers recently and enjoyed the food and experience. The waitstaff is also fantastic. I highly recommend the filet mignon entree and the flan for dessert. I would give the place a 5 star rating but I wasn't crazy about the interior and ambiance.

Everything was perfect. Steak was great and we had a bottle of wine as well. I had half of a steak left that I wanted boxed but it was thrown away. When your bill is over $300 I was very sad my steak was thrown out.

Had my birthday dinner here and while the food was slightly below what you would expect for a high end steak house, the service from our waitress Megan soared beyond expectations. She took the time to go over both the devour indy fixed price menu and the a la carte menu in unexpected detail, and gave us the impression that no matter which option we choose, and regardless of how much we spend, she would not change level of service. The printed birthday menu and printed birthday dinner photograph of my fiance and I was a very nice touch I have never had at any other restaurant, high end or otherwise. While the food was good, comparing it at the level of high end steakhouses does put it at average which is the only thing keeping this review from an otherwise well deserved 5-star.

Admittedly came to this restaurant during the devour Indy with a gift card in hand. It was obvious that the staff gets a little “annoyed” during this event. The food was still great and the service was decent. I think you definitely come here for the prestige of it being Morton’s and you should be ready to pay the price on a normal night. We had the Filet Mignon and Lobster tail. Filet did truly melt in your mouth.

Morton's is interesting as it lives up to being a steakhouse. The steaks are well cooked. The meat was well picked and seasoned. There is no issue there. However, the other dishes is where the restaurant fails. The Chicken Christopher was decent at best. The chicken was good, but bland. The sauce did take away the bland taste of the chicken, but it was still odd. While eating the chicken, it felt that the sauce and chicken were two different dishes. There was no cohesiveness. As for sides, the Au Gratin potatoes were good. Nothing too exciting. It was just Au Gratin potatoes. The smoked Guoda was hardly noticeable. It felt empty and lost in itself. So it was just over priced potatoes. Nothing special at all. Finally, the service was quite bad. The waitress was rather rude and impatient. When she did come to the table, she expected the party to know the menu in and out. Nothing was explained or suggested. Seldom did she come to our table as well. In total, her comings could be counted on one hand. I had expected better service from a restaurant that charges high prices. Overall, this is the place to come for steaks. As for everything else, go elsewhere. The prices for the rest of the menu is not worth visiting the restaurant. Just come for steaks and leave.

Not the best I've had for the price. I also only ate about half of my steak, and when all of us asked for to-go boxes, our waiter didn't pack mine. I don't know what happened to it, but I know I didn't get what I paid for.

Normally a 5 star experience. I'm not sure if the place has gone down hill or if it was just an off night for them. We had some odd experiences last time there. Our first table was too wobbly to even place a drink on safely so they moved us to another table (their request, not ours). Second table was just as wobbly but they did attempt to fix it with a napkin under the leg. Which just made it wobble the other way. Not a big deal though. We had a team of 3 waiting on us but our drinks still took over 20 minutes to get to the table. The food was fine overall but our servers kept dropping off condiments and potato ingredients moments after another server had already done the same. Not a disastrous evening but the food and service was certainly not up to the typical caliber they have provided in the past. Disappointing overall.

I went on a Saturday night with a group of 5. the restaurant was moderately busy, maybe half full. Half of the main course dishes came out about 5-10 min late. The manager was apologetic and generously covered the cost of the late items and gave us free dessert. I got a big piece of chocolate cake, which included a piece of clear plastic buried in the cake - gratis. Aside from that little treat, the chocolate icing was gritty. Get your act together. A competent manager can only cover up so many kitchen mistakes.

Way overpriced! However, it was the best steak I've ever had. The wait staff...at least our waiter was a great salesman because he talked up everything on the menu until we added little things here and there until we paid well over what we had budgeted for our meal. FYI, water and bread is extra charge (they don't tell you that ),and the bread wasn't good at all.

Great service, but our scallops and one of our steaks were burnt (not a nice char, hard as a rock, charcoal tasting) and the other steak was unevenly cooked. It seems the kitchen staff is falling short these days reading other reviews and having this experience. Last time everything was perfect, not sure what's happened. For this price, it should be perfect, luckily we had a gift card so I didn't feel bad about it.

First time there my onion soup while good was not very warm. My steak was tender.but cold the sour cream potatoes lacked flavor and my lobster tail was cold and over seasoned way to salty the melted.butter helped a little bit but it wasn't very warm either. The chocolate mousse was just overrated pudding flavored with cocoa only thing that I really loved.was.my wine..am I going back dont think so. We ate off of the 35.00 devour indy menu. devour indy is to allow customers to sample indys finest restaurants I am sure if we ordered off of the regular menu the food might have had more attention given to it. Regardless we spent well over 140.00 for two people to eat you think it would have been a great experience making us want to return regardless of price. I am sorry but I didn't fine anything that would make me feel.this was better than any other restaurant

I would give two stars, one stars for the dinner itself and another star for the service. It was a reservation for five. The waiter told us everyone didn't need to order sides because the side dishes were large enough to share. Not true. Drinks were randomly made up as if the bartender was on sick leave and didn't taste good. To top the evening off, our take home food was put in a bag and set on the floor. Morton's is the top prize winner for worst service ever. They act as if they had never serviced black people or were extremely afraid. Lol We won't be going back or giving any referring to this restaurant. I wouldn't be offended if they shut the place down tomorrow.

The staff was pleasant and friendly. But, absolutely the worst Bloody Mary I have ever had. It had very little flavor, was maybe 4 ounces and cost $18.00!!! I would gladly have paid that for a 12-16 ounce flavorful drink. We decided not to eat dinner because of that experience.

Take your hard earned money elsewhere!! Trust me, there are SO many other great choices in Indy. The food is acceptable for the price...it is just that service is abysmal (horrible)!!!! We were actually confronted by our angry server when we pointed out that our vegetable was incorrect from what we ordered. To add insult to injury...we waited a.most 75 minutes for our dinner. The table next to us actually missed the opening act of a concert due to the bizarrely lengthy "cook time" of meals. I will not return.

Went here for Christmas Day dinner for myself and family. We ordered fillet and lobster. Steak was not fillet minion. Mine was charred on the outside and raw in the middle despite asking for med Well. My daughter's steak was a 1/4 inch thick and appeared to be a chopped steak. Brussel sprouts hard as a rock. Did not want to complain in front of family on Christmas day. 370.00 for something Texas roadhouse does better for a fraction of the cost. They really ruined our Christmas dinner. They also forgot to give us some of our leftovers. My husband is mad that I made this decision for our family. Never again.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. We have gone to Morton’s in The Chicago area, and it was always fantastic. This location was not the same. Started off with wrong wine,then ordered the hash browns to share. As the server was putting them in front of us, I could smell something was wrong with them. They were horrible! I believe after a second bite that the potatoes were bad.... brown and horrible!. For the price you pay for a meal, this was a huge disappointment to us. Never again.
