I been coming to this Location over and over and always they tread me so good , friendly staff , clean and this Location their food taste much better then other Locations in the valley .

Pollo loco has great food choices especially their salads, burritos, and quesadillas. I like the taste of their chicken and their creamy ranch sauce for their salads is tasty. And I also like their green guamole salsa. And their rice and beans are decent.

El pollo locos flame grilled chicken, marinated in citrus is tastes. I like the choice of side and of salsa, and flour or corn tortias. A great place for chicken dinner or salids, bowls and a Hugh menu all based on chicken.

Love,the tostada salad and the chicken bowl, but make sure they don't give u chicken breask because sometimes can be dry, unless u like it like that Other then that Awesome healthy fast good options

Once I have tasted the delicious slow cooked, low fat chicken. I keep returning each time I hand wash my car, because I can smell it from across the street.

Every time I've been there I've had great service. Always clean friendly cashier s, polite, pleasant and professional. Their restrooms are always very clean and stocked.

Fantastic food. Just wish you'd come out here to Salem, OR. You're a little too far away to go for dinner. We were on vacation when we were there. But anytime, were passing through CA. We visit El Pollo Loco.

I really wasn't in the mood for El Polo Loco the day I was looking for lunch. And I was amazed by what they had on the menu. Very good food and the prices was fairly inexpensive. I thought it would be more but very responsible. Thank you and God Bless everyone

I had heard so much about this restaurant. It was the best food I had on my vacation to California. Everything was fresh. And I'm in love with the green salsa.

I really like this El Pollo Loco location. The staff and owner are very attentive to the needs of the customer. They helped us get a gift card and our food. And during our lunch when a customer was being very rude and raising their voice to the cashier/owner Oscar, he handled it very professionally.

This place is one of my fave lunch time spots for accessibility and quickness. PRO TIP: use the El Pollo Loco app to order ahead because that lunch line gets so backed up every time I order online it's ready before I get there and I work at JFK. service is great and everyone working seems to enjoy their time there with one another. Always smiling and super friendly!!

The fresh broiled flavor is just way too delicious. I have tried to make it, but they do it just right. The place is always so clean.

We got the chicken wraps and they were delicious and fresh! The side salad was good and the cilantro ranch dressing was pretty good too. I didn't get a drink exce0t for a cup of water, which was maybe about 4oz, which was really the only negative. Besides that, everything was good!

Very good food. You won't be disappointed. We were in Orlando, FL last year and fell in love with a restaurant called Pollo Tropical....but they are only in FL...so were very pleased to find El Pollo Loco to be very similar, yet with their own unique style and flavor.

Stopped at Indio CA location on our way home to Prescott Valley, AZ after visiting family in Ventura, CA. Best chicken nachos ever and great customer service. I asked for no onions and corn tortillas and enjoyed both! Guacamole had an awesome kick to it even without onions. Huge chunks of melt in your mouth white meat chicken. Think I’ll make an El Pollo Loco map for all our road trips.

Great service! Originally ordered from La Quinta online(took my money and all), but when I got there, they were closed! So I called Indio and they said come on down! Got there, they heard my sad story, and proceeded to treat me like royalty. Apologized for my trouble even though it wasn't their problem. They did everything they could to mend any potential damage to the brand, and earned my future business. The food at both stores has always been good, but good customer service will create loyalty and cause people to drive a little further when they feel valued. Which is what we'll be doing when we have the craving again.

Judged by a previous review, the drive thru is pretty fast because of the COVID protocols. Food is great and some of the workers are welcoming.

If your looking for a quick fix hit this place up but I wouldn't go as far and call it real authentic Mexican food. They are fast. Your better off hitting up Jalisco's in Coachella for some good Mexican food.

This Location could be better if they gave you the right Food that you ordered... Two things wrong that night. We ordered a 16 piece Family Dinner. We asked for "Flour" Tortillas and we got "Corn" Tortillas. Secondly we ordered the Leg and Thigh Family Dinner. Some how they sneaked in something that looked like it had vertebrae...? Was it backs(which has less meat)that they passed off as thigh's(which has More Meat)...? I'm not sure...??? All in All the Food tasted Good otherwise, Greg

Ordered the Pollo Bowl told the cashier twice don't put Rice in my Pollo Bowl because I'm Diabetic they still put the Rice in it but they put it on the bottom. I didn't discovered it until I ate half way through it. I was irritated it raised my Blood Sugar to 145. Other than that they have great food.

The "8pc Family Feast - mixed" apparently includes chicken NECK & BACK and for that privilege you get to pay $3 more for the meal... And 2 wings that were just literal skin and bones. 1 x overcooked breast, 2 x overcooked thighs and 1 x overcooked leg. Overall...Meh!

Fast, and well, the only food near descent level of nutritional value for its price and timing. They can be a little more clean and sanitary. These fast food joints are dirty here in Indio. I blame management for not training adequately.

Love the food. Does it seem that all fast food chickens have gotten smaller chickens to serve you. A regular leg and wings seems like buffalo wing size. Must be a dwarf chickens.

At one point I would have rated this restaurant a 5 rating, however there was an incident with two male employees in the drive thru. To begin with the employee who took our order had attitude when speaking, it was clear he was over it. When we provided a $2 coupon and the register wasn't accepting it, the employee who took our order asked another employee for help. The other employee took over the transaction, since the initial employee seemed to be clocking out, and tried stating it was expired, which it wasn't and had to ask a supervisor for advise. It was finally put through manually and as we were driving away I realized I didn't get my drink. I double checked to see if it was even included to the order on the receipt, which it wasn't. Our other visits when eating their at the restaurant have been wonderful and the associates normally very nice, welcoming and accommodating. The drive thru however needs work. If you do eat here, eat inside.

Better than those other fast food places. Very good value for a meal when using the coupons. I like the pinto beans. Corn is tasty. Avocado tacos are filling and tasty. The enchiladas are surprisingly large and enough for two people to share.

I ordered 5 items and only received 4. I asked for extra dressing for the salad and didn't received any at all. I also, asked for salsa and didn't receive any. I called and let them know they forgot my dinner and they said to go back anytime I choose. Seems like they always forget an item or 2.

I leave this review with such a torn heart! The employees here are all very sweet! Yesterday my husband and I came in to order dinner for our crew of 11! Stephanie helped us and everything came out beautifully! Everything labeled and order taken correctly! It’s was a relief! Came back today just the two of us for dinner and the place definitely had a rough night. Dining room was a mess and customers all around were not happy. But still the employees were friendly and did the best they could. Xiema is a sweetheart and remains polite and professional along with Nereija. These girls handle themselves well even when the odds were against them. Well done!

Customer service was awful.... Lady kept rushing through our order and than she got our order wrong. When asked nicely to make sure she got the order correct she gave us attitude and manager/owner (short old fat Hispanic man) came to window with a bad attitude like if it was my fault. Then I call to make a complain and he denied the whole thing, that it wasn’t even him but yet he said he has everything recorded and will be putting it on social media.. by all means go ahead so that people can see the truth. The food is good at the Indio location but terrible customer service. They need to retake their customer service class. I need to try La Quinta maybe they have better training.

Not like it was a few years ago sorry to say. Wife was served old chicken, probably cooked many hours before. I have to admit my meal wasn't very good as it used to be. We plan on never returning to this location anymore sorry to say.I suggest driving up the street to the el pollio in LaQuinta. 5 star constantly.

The food is great when you order in the restaurant but the drive thru workers ALWAYS get orders wrong. It wouldn't bother me if it was once or twice but it happens EVERY time I order from there. They also turn down the smallest requests like substitutions. You'd be better off going to a different location.

Manager didn't want to give me a refund after i have told them i had a coupon before ordering. When i got to the window she didn't ask for my coupon so she charged me full price. She said she couldn't give me a refund because she had already charged me in my debit card. Soooo weird because im a Manager and i have given refunds like that before. I have complained to Headquarters and El Pollo Rewards with no response. I purchased a 50.00 gift card at the father's day promotion where I was to received a 8 piece meal for my purchase. It took me almost a month to received the coupon for the meal. I ordered online used the coupon and it sent me an email the meat would be at 111 Indio location in 15 minutes. I arrived and the manager said he knew nothing there was nothing for me and to "call". No idea who or where to call. I lost the meal on father's day after driving 10+ miles in the 110 plus heat. This place has done this to me before. I can only hope the La Quinta place is better.

Indio restaurant was awful. Very dirty... very unfriendly to non Hispanic customers... originally I went through the drive-thru where the person barely spoken English got home found out that my order was wrong I came back spoke with the manager that my order was wrong... the person that took my order was standing there staring at me smirking... got my food and left only to find out they still got my order wrong. I came back told him the order was wrong again they fix the order went home only to find out and it was wrong again came back and asked for my money back and got an attitude from the manager and the whole staff standing there staring at me giving me dirty looks.

Have to wait for a while to order and once you get to the front you get ignored by staff. Asked for my order to go but they gave it to me on a platter and had to wait longer. I rather drive further than to go to the one that’s closer to me.

Website says it's open till 11:00 pm When we arrived at 10:00 pm we were told they were out of chicken! Chicken is what they sell and your out of chicken?? Bad... And to top it all off, when we questioned no availability of chicken when they were still open 1 more hour, the guy at the window flipped us off as we drove away! Bad, bad, bad, business!

I had the most horrible experience today at the Indio, CA location. I was in the drive thru being driven by my caretaker and I ordered a chicken tostado salad with Italian dressing. It took over 30 minutes to get my order, it was wrong, and the cashier and other employees were completely unprofessional and were actively rolling their eyes and talking trash about me amongst themselves. I didn't have the extra time to demand my money back, so I'm writing this review and will never go back...Booo...Bad El Pollo Loco!!!!

Went to EPL (Drive Thru) on 11/10/17 and ordered a Chicken Combo with (2) Side Salads. Got to my location and noticed that the Side Salads were not fresh and turning brown. Returned the Side Salad with my Receipt on 11/11/17 and spoke with the Manager (Fabiola). I was treated like a criminal. She didn't even offer to look at my Receipt. Fabiola was very unprofessional and rude... Fabiola only offered me another Side Salad. No apology, no refund, no soft drink, no nothing!!! Fabiola acted as if she was doing me a favor by offering to replace my Side Salad. I called Customer Service today at 2:20PM. Fabiola obviously needs some additional Customer Service training!!! Let's see what happens... NOTE TO ALL!!! Check you food before leaving this location...

Went to Pollo loco , I am a returning guest. I asked for a chipotle chicken avocado and their shrimp plate , large Ice tea and medium coke. the Ice tea had no ice (I asked for extra ice when I ordered it) i was given a 9oz cup with ice for my large ice tea, I asked for the cilantro dressing and was told no you have to order a salad to get that, they gave one green salsa for two meals . so disappointed with the service and responses from who I believe was the manager. Their stuff is not the cheapest to begin with , I guess they don't need my business. Will have to opt for the Palm Desert location from now on.

Owner had promotion for a free bowl of you download the app, we did it on two different phones, he scanned and used up both coupons but claimed they didn't work and couldn't tell us why it what exactly we needed to do to make them work. He just kept saying he was a franchise and didn't know the rules to the promotion he was advertising in his own store.

My wife loves coming here but she doesn’t like to complain because she appreciates how hard people work. It has happened more than 4 four times that her food order is cold or the wrong order but the last straw is when she found a bone in her burrito!! Not coming back here till they clean up their act right!!

It is very disappointing to post this post but I felt very disrespected. I went with my parents who do not dress the best at times, the workers demonstrated a very disgusting face expressions. We had ask for our meal to be to dine in and mentioned it several times and was later provided with our food in a to go bag when the other costumer were given their food on the trays the provide. I was stared down on by the manger himself. Fell as if this place needs to humble themselves because no one should be treated in a different manner due to their appearance. I've been a long-time fan of El Pollo Loco, but my recent visit was a huge letdown. The crew seemed uninterested in providing any sort of decent service, and the managers were just as bad, acting like they were doing me a favor by taking my order. Honestly, their rude attitude was a major turn-off. To make matters worse, the food quality was terrible. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, and the sides were clearly old and stale. It's like they didn't even try. This isn't the El Pollo Loco I remember, and I'm seriously questioning whether I'll ever go back. If you're looking for a place with friendly service and good food, steer clear of this El Pollo Loco. There are plenty of other options out there that actually care about their customers and the quality of their food. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else. Very unprofessional !!

Went last night 10/2/25 to buy a side salad to take to work with me. Was at lunch, eating my salad in the break room. As I was Eating a good amount, I discovered a fly in my salad. I couldn't post it, because they took it off to post pictures. However, I will be reporting this to the health department. The lady taking orders was rude the night I purchased my salad. Got food poisoning after eating here. Found dirt in my salad. The little man who claims to be the owner is extremely rude. He curses clients out in Spanish. The lady who took my order in the drive thru is also rude. This location, on Hwy 111, is NOT good at all! Avoid it at all cost! I prefer going to the other Indio location on Jackson st. The Jackson st location is way cleaner, the staff are super friendly and professional.

I order Pollo Loco at least 3 times a week as it's a good deal, good food and fast service. I've order 3 times at the particular Indio location the 2 prior times has been via drive thru and service was bad. But I always give the benefit of doubt because we all have those days. Today I ordervia mobile like I always do. When I arrive if there is no one on drive thru I normally go at my regular location. The girl at the Indio location was rude since the beginning as I told her I was there for a mobile order the words out of her mouth was come inside. I thought I misunderstood her so I asked again and she reply you need to come inside. But with a rude voice. As I walked away the gentleman at the register already had an attitude with another customer. After he told me my food will be out shortly the same lady from the drive thru rudely place my bag on the counter without and acknowledgement. When I try to share my feedback with the alleged Owner he asked well had a Messed up attitude very condescending I even told him as an owner he should be able to accept feedback but all he rid is made gesture to brush me off. No wonder the employees have attitude if he acts the same way.

I HATE giving bad reviews :( But here we go, I order the nachos and asked if I could get the guac and sour cream on the side, they told me it couldn't be done it was either I wanted it on or not! And I said "why is it so hard to just give me 2 little containers with guac and sour cream" his reaponse was that it was a health department issue" Well bottom line I couldn't get him to fulfill my order the way I wanted it to be. And when I picked up my nachos at the window guess what? I had salsa on the side!! What is the difference? And what is the big deal of getting something on the side?! Let's start by saying I love El Pollo, been eating at them for years, BUT AVOID INDIO location. Spent $38 there for 10 pcs and sides and 2 drinks, driest oldest chicken I think they could find. My large salad had no cheese on it, a few broken tortilla chips ( not strips) the salsa was nothing but tomatoes and to top it off they didn't even carry ranch like other stores do. Then when I was eating dry plain lettuce I asked for an additional small dressing and was told I only get 1 with a large family sized salad. Serious go to the one on Monterey if you can MUCH BETTER!
