A typical Taco cabana food chain which is pretty new and maintained well. Ample parking space and seating areas. Located on I-10 with other food chains in the close vicinity. Had no issues with this res so far.

I could easily see having friends and family and enjoying a great meal. Or just being on your own and wanting that perfect place to relax. I don't know why but I've been to many over the years and the one in Leon Springs is the best!!!

Taco Cabana in Leon Springs is one of TC's better locations. The staff is super friendly and their selection is cheap and delicious. Only thing I can say bad about the TC co. is that I cannot stand the digital menu on their screens. Always changing as we try to decide our meals. It's a large menu and the screen changes too fast.

This 5 stars is for Illeana the cashier. She is amazing. She did everything from busing tables, cashier, helping the line, etc. She did all this with a smile and pleasant nature. They were super busy when we went.

Went through the drive through with a big $60+ order. All the food was given correctly, and tasted great! Decent prices. Also, their margaritas are awesome, especially for the price!

Ordered carne asada street tacos and was pleasantly surprised. Tasty tacos at a low price. Drive through experience was smooth. The tacos were a bit oily but the price makes up for my small complaints. My only other wish is that they would be open for dine in, but that's likely a corporate level decision. Overall, a good place to get cheap Mexican food.

Probably the best Cabana in the area. My food has always been good and my orders have been accurate. The girl that works the drive thru with the really long and straight dark brown hair is extremely cute. So... I recommend this location!

Senior discount was a nice surprise. Tasty Spanish rice, beans and cheese enchiladas. My husband enjoyed the Cabana bowl...like a taco salad. Under $20 for both of us to eat. We drank water.

Tacos have the best since I was a kid. The best! Especially at 6:00 AM. We grew up is San Antonio and moved to Hawaii years ago. So Taco Cabana is one of the things we miss most! @4u2chawaii

I ordered curbside and got to the store and called. There was no answer so I immediately was worried about the service but in less than five minutes they came out and brought my order despite not answering the phone. The food was surprisingly good. I always hear such bad things but it was actually really good the only problem I had was the lack attention to the customizations but honestly it wasn't that big of a deal. This is my new go to spot and I can't wait to try the rest of the food.

I ordered the Mexican plate. It was very well put together and delicious. Everything was fresh, tasty and exactly what I expected and wanted. I also ordered some additional tortillas because the two you get with the meal are usually not enough for me. The tortillas were very good as usual. I haven't been to Taco Cabana for a while, but I can say that this location really does do a great job on every level.

I get breakfast here at least twice a week if not more. Even when they are short staffed they always keep it together and put out best quality product and customer service!! Big shout out to Ms. Laura in drive thru that always puts a smile on my face and seems to genuinely love what she does!! The entire management and staff are amazing. Thank you for such a great experience if only a few times a week. Keep it up!

I’ve tried many tacos during my life, I grew up in the heart of Mexico and these tacos are almost as close as I’ve gotten here in San Antonio, I wish I got the name of the lady who attended me to give her a huge mega shout out, she was bilingual, patient and very nice she made some very good recommendations if you know me tho I have to always keep it real I got the street al pastor tacos and three came and they were a decent size but not enough to fill me up, overall this is probably one of my ONLY 5 star reviews, the churros. AMAZING, I can now say for a fact me and my whole family will come probably every week, once again churros were pretty authentic and had a nice yummy warm filling

After a long day of interstate driving, we were ready to eat and rest for the evening. Unfortunately, an item was left out of our to-go order. Mary(?) was exceedingly sweet and accommodating, and went so far as to have it delivered to our hotel. She more than made up for the mistake and took care of us. Great service and the food was yummy, especially the chicken tacos and the carne guisada tacos!

This by far is my favorite Taco Cabana. This location is very clean. The service is fast and the food taste fresh. This place has very good management and you can tell by how clean this location is. I like to the the steak fajitas. The 1/2 order is more than enough! You can feed two people.

I was in there this afternoon on a rainy dreary day for a to go order. I made my order and the tall older black gentleman was so helpful. He then proceeded to make my order and made sure everything was correct. It’s nice to see people like him that make sure that everything they prepare is right! The food was delicious and I hope that man is recognized for the good work he does at Taco Cabana! Highly recommend this restaurant! 💯 percent happy! 😃

I’ve been coming here for years and think I can only remember one time I had any problems at all and it was merely due to staffing issues. So I have waited to review this place until I have been here a few times. So after about two years of visiting I will say that they deserve 5 stars. They are a fast food chain and should be judged at such. They serve for decently fast, with okay freshness but have good integrity and are willing to correct their wrongs when they happen. I never expect perfection at a place where you can have a hefty meal for under $25 but accountability is everything. Every time I have had an issue with an order they are receptive to hearing my issue whether I call or visit in person. Actually listen to my complaint and give options to make things right. Each time they do this WITHOUT attitude or negativity. The food itself is a good variation of traditional Mexican cuisine but as with any fast food spot sacrifice some quality for speed and cost. Don’t expect top of the line anything but for the cost it matches up well. They have a broad variety of options and are not afraid to handle any adjustments due to preference or allergies. The inside seems well kept and matches the theme of the restaurant. I’ve never seen it dirty or disorganized regardless of the day of the week. The food could be better especially the corn tortillas but you do get what you pay for at the end of the day.

I go to this Taco Cabana because their margaritas are the best. So far. I've been to other TCs for margaritas but this one is better. And the people here are great and no one at this TCs have ever given a tone or attitude. And I'm picky and definitely not the easiest customer. So if their customer service wasn't good I wouldn't be back no matter how good the product was.

Well a few weeks back our order was totally screwed in the drive-thru. So we decided not to eat at this location. But I'm glad we changed our minds. Good especially for the price. We ordered two beef fajita taco plates. We got one beef fajita taco plate and one chicken fajita taco plate. They were all good, just not all correct. I know they would have corrected the error, but I was OK with chicken.

Tried their new "double crisp(?)" pizzas. Not bad. The chicken "pizza" is spicy but mildly so. Both were tasty and at $4.99, well priced. I'll go for them again. And service was excellent.

Had lunch special two tacos, chips and queso with drink. Lemonade was not working and alerted employee who took care of having someone change it. Tables in dining room needed cleaned. Several dirty ones passed before found one not so dirty. Realize it was lunch time and busy but need to pay attention to tables in dining area. Food was good and served promptly.

Typical chain restaurant. Service was excellent. Haven't been to a Taco Cabana is years and was undecided on what I was in the mood for. When I said something about usually going to Taco Bell the girl at the counter kinda laughed but then reccomended their version of a Mexican Pizza. Beans were a little dry but the flavor was great and it paired with the Steak tacos very nicely. Tacos were a little greasy but I didn't mind because it added flavor. Not a first choice place but would go back again.

Had dinner here on May 3rd. The food was pretty good. They were not busy, so the tables should have been cleaned better. Most of the staff was friendly. I think they were having some problems with their tortilla machine.

Bought two barbeque tacos and a potatoes and egg! I thought the price was ridiculous! Though I did ask for a senior discount, I still thought the price was two high!!! The girl at the drive thru window wasn't to bright!!! Forgot to give me cream and sugar for my coffee!!! Then asked what I was waiting for when she opened the window again!!!

I live near here and the food is good. I rarely go because I only do take out orders and 35% of them are wrong. I have eaten there once and the service and food was good. There seems to be no process whereby the food to go bags are checked for accuracy so I will stick to only 3 stars.

I come here everytime I'm home for breakfast tacos and normally do not have any problems. However, today I had a problem with the menu and got an aggressive, impatient response from the manager. Basically, I tried to order the dozen tacos "TCs Way" and add cheese. As you can see in the menu, this price should be $13.99 plus 30 cents per taco. Instead, I was charged $16.99 for "Your Way" plus 30 cents per taco. There are only two explanations here, either the menu is right or wrong. There's no need to argue about it until the menu is fixed. I understand if adding cheese is considered a change or substitution, but then you should probably remove the "add 30 cent per taco for cheese" line under the TCs Way option to make it obvious. He did end up giving me the TCs way plus cheese after he realized it was cheaper, but mentioned he would not honor it next time.

Wish I could say I was a secret shopper and everything was good. I heard the phone ring multiple times in the time I was here. Ordered 9:44:30 with Jorge and he was quick, asked the right questions. Waited close to twenty minutes for 2 egg and cheeze tacos. Walked up to ask and told it must be just piping up on the screen and seemed dismissive. I heard the lady in the kitchen bark orders to Jorge and while he had three people in line and working with last customer I heard he say to get the order out. While it seemed like a bad coworker vibe he did come back in to confirm where the order was going (missed opportunity to ask questions first). Overall it seems like they are short staffed with 4 people and I observed an employee come in early play on her phone and run to clock in at 10:10am I rated 3 stars because I see the same things mentioned in other rating and experienced a few.

The drive through people are always not very friendly. I’m always having to check my order before I drive away bc something is always wrong. The quality of the food has gone down. Today I get home and opened the 2 quesos that I ordered and they were barely half way filled. I have given this place so many chances and I think I am just over it now.

Good food, but the options to customize their items online is lacking. You can customize a breakfast taco in the drive thru, but cannot do so on DoorDash. And Taco Cabana has chosen to disable the special instructions section on DoorDash so you can't write in customizations either.

I live right next to this place and used to visit often to get my breakfast tacos. Not sure what happened but it's really bad lately, they serve tacos, with very small portions even the bean and cheese. This Friday morning they had zero cars in their drive-thru, sign other customer also noticed their decline.

Waited in line 30 minutes with only 2 cars in front of me. When I got my food and went just across highway to my hotel room, queso was hot, sour cream was cold, and flautas were soft, cold and tasted like they were old and had been re-warmed. Very disappointing experience.

My carne guisada tacos were tasty although a little small for the money. Didn't care for the rude cashier. I gave the guy a $10 bill to pay for my two tacos, and held out my hand for my change. Instead of placing my money in my hand, he placed it on the counter beneath my hand! If you don't have a problem taking money from my hand, then you shouldn't have a problem placing money in it as well.

Nothing against the gentlemen working, he was all by himself. Taking inside orders and drive thru. Management of this place is horrible. Taco cabana used to be such a reliable establishment after Covid completely gone downhill. Food is okay but cold.

I have been to this location at least a couple of times. Last time we had a fairly negative experience that had something to do with messing up our order and then being snark about it. I don't remember all the details because it was some time ago, but it was pretty bad. I decided to overlook this and give it another try, mostly because of the location and because the whole family likes the food. This time, despite the cashier repeating the correct items several times as I ordered (almost like he was trying to get me to stop), they still forgot the chips for my sister's chips and guacamole order. But because it was a to go order I didn't notice in time. Because of the factors mentioned above, I don't know if I will be going back to this location again. But if I do I will be very careful to make sure they get my order right, and I recommend you do the same. It may always be clean, and modern looking as taco cabanas go, but those things aren't really as important as getting the food right.

Frankly, don't give me a run around saying that the salsa ranch I asked about was out, and say something about it taking a few minutes to make, only for it to not be there when we finish eating, but it's clear you never had any all day when the scoops are missing and there isnt a drop of the stuff at the bar. The guy on the line who talked to me was nice, but to the cashier and manager(?) who talked to the man on the line, just be clear and say "sorry we are out" next time? At least the food is good, but I can only take so much of the constantly being out of things, being given a run around, and messed up orders that seems to be happening with increased frequency.

This place seems to be hit or miss with their service the food is ok for a fast food place. My last two visit were both a miss, ate in once and drive thru another. The service turn around time both times was slow and when we ate in it wasn't crowded. The drive thru took ten minutes once we placed the order, small rice and beans. Take a lesson from other drive thru's, if someone's order is delayed asked them to move out and you will take it to them. And a, "Sorry for the delay" would have been nice. A free small drink would also be nice for the wait.

Waited in the drive through line for 25 minutes. Ordered a single soft beef taco plate. No reasoning for the long wait. Food was good but just not worth the hassle of the wait. Have had issues in the past with orders being incorrect but tonight at least the order was correct today.

If the mess up your order, insist on a refund- They won't keep track of it (despite what they tell you), so your money is gone. Also, why is this location's chips always stale? Friendly employees despite the managers failing to do their job and lying about food credit.

They are incredibly rude here. Tacos are hit or miss, sometimes it’s a decent taco and other times it’s like a 2 year old put a drop of beans and no cheese. Better off going to the Boerne location if you want a decent meal.

Extremely bad service. No one acknowledged the people waiting in line to order for at least 10 minutes. The 'manager', didn't seem to know what she was doing. She was openly reprimanding employees in view of customers, She didnt want to assist anyone. Several people left without being served. Unfortunately, we waited for our to go order.. the tacos tased awful, and the sopapillas didnt have any cinnamon sugar or dipping sauce included.

I hardly ever write reviews as most are just from self righteous individuals that have never had to work in the service industry. With that being said this location really needs some help. I understand COVID has made things harder on everyone and that the fast food industry is busier than ever. I’m super grateful for our food workers. But there really isn’t any excuse for the lack of customer service and competency at this location other than a major breakdown at the upper management level. There is no structure or order. Almost every time I decide to give this location another chance I’m inevitably disappointed. If I was the owner of this location I’d seriously reevaluate my management and hiring process. This is the only Taco Cabana for a few miles in either direction of I-10 and could very well be a high grossing store. But maybe that’s the reason for the lack of leadership and structure? If it’s the only location then the standard isn’t really that important because what other Taco Cabana is there? True, there isn’t another Taco Cabana in the area but there is a Las Palapas and I guess that’s where we’ll continue to go.

Gone downhill in recent months. Food was bland. Only have tap beer. No Shiner. Cashier wanted to see my driver's license even though I'm 64 but then swiped it. Had no right or reason to swipe my driver's license. Never going back. I give it 1/2 ☆.

This morning at 0740 I tried ordering what I always do and the lady wouldn’t sell me a canned Diet Coke which they do every time I order at the drive-through window. She rudely told me “online orders only” and tried to get me to order y’all’s nasty fountain soda... so what did I do? Placed an order online for a canned Diet Coke. Once getting up to the window the same lady was up there being rude and obviously mad I went out of my way to order a canned drink. She couldn’t get it through her head that I didn’t want a fountain drink... y’all’s fountain drinks are disgusting. Her customer service and attitude was even more repulsive and disgusting.

Drive through line was long so we decided to go in. We were told they didn’t have crunchy taco supremes and were advised to order the expensive steak tacos. It was a small flour tortilla with steak in it. No cheese, no lettuce. They forgot the quesadilla we ordered and the nachos was a bowl full of processed cheese covering a few small pieces of meat and no chips to be found. It was oozing out of the container and looked so nasty my teenage son could not force himself to eat it. We asked for corn shells and got nothing but flour. It took forever! Over 35 minutes waiting just to get home and see they had given us the wrong order. Most of it ended up in the trash and I had to cook dinner for my son and daughter anyway. What a waste.

Avoid this location like the plague. 3rd time there in the last couple months, not any better than the 1st. Call to let them know you're there for your curbside order, they're rude. "We're working on it" and they hang up—twice now. The orders are never correct. Tons of angry customers waiting inside every time. They should shut the store down or replace everyone in there.

They ran out of ground beef and it wasn't noon yet. We stood around waiting for someone to come to take our order. The place was empty so when we walked in it was obvious we were there to eat not just look around the place. I understand everyone is short staffed but at this Taco Cabana it seemed like we were an inconvenience.

Staff looks like the equivalent of what you would see in a half way house. Sat in the drive through for 50 minutes waiting for this mediocre food. Major problems here with employment, wait times, quality control, and professionalism.

Ordered 3 crunchy tacos, when they handed me my food it looked like someone had literally thrown the tacos into the container, ingredients everywhere. Luckily I checked my food before leaving. Will never go to Taco Cabana again.

Horrible experience at this location, twice now!!! We placed an order online and well over an hour later, nothing. We call the store multiple times, only to be met by the automated system which states “No one is available to take your call, goodbye.” Seriously?? We’re not even sure we’ve ever gotten someone on the line there. And to top things off, we drive out to get it and not one apology or explanation. Very unlikely we’ll order from this spot again.

Walked in after a hard day's work. Nobody at the counter. Gentleman made two trips to refill ice in soda fountain. Looked at me each time. Walked back into the back and didn't come back out. Could hear a lady in the back. Tons of meat sitting on grill I could see unattended. Walked out and went next door to laguna Madre. Place was exceptionally clean and Salsa bar looked great.

Stood at the register for 10 min. I was the only one in the restaurant. I work a customer facing job as well so I understand being busy but we always let the customers know we see them and say “hi we’ll be right with you!” Several employees saw me and just stared at me and didn’t acknowledge I was there and just walked away. Not the first time this has happened either. They need to fix the staffing or close the dine in side.

I ordered 3 crispy tacos on line. When I picked up the order (curbside) Not only were the taco's very soggy, the order was wrong. I wanted cheese and it wasn't on the tacos. Then, the guy who brought it out to me assured me the guac I added and paid for was in the bag when I asked. Of course, it wasn't. The meat had onions and peppers which I wasn't aware of. Never had i had such a bad experience when ordering such a simple meal! To top it off, they charged my card 4 TIMES!!! What the H*ll Taco Cabana??

I've loved TC for decades but the Leon Springs store needs to do something about their staff and service. I go there because it's nearby but for a long time I often feel like I'm an inconvenience rather than a welcome customer. My last 2 visits resulted in no food ordered. Both times I stood at the counter for over 5 minutes in view of staff with no employee offering help, no one saying "be with you in a minute", no one acknowledging my presence. Whether it's understaffing, poor training or poor attitudes this place needs some management changes

took over 30 minutes in the driver thru for one order of nacho and literally forgot our request of chicken. they weren’t even understaff and there was barely people dining in. And they ran out of tortillas??? is this not a taco place

I went here a few weeks ago and it was the worst customer service (or lack thereof) I've experienced in a long time. I ordered online and showed up 15 minutes later but was standing around for over 45 minutes more until they gave me my food. No one was even at the front checkout for a long while. The drive-thru must have processed over twenty people while I stood around inside unattended, totally disgraceful. My order was missing items and the tacos were soggy and gross. I was so upset by this experience I wrote to corporate to get a refund. The first time I've ever done that at any restaurant. To clarify, I've been here years before and it was great. I think they were under staffed and the person running things is inept or just doesn't care. They shouldn't even accept online orders if they are going to make you wait an eternity.

Warning to everyone: after reading some reviews from the last few months the ridiculous wait time and incredibly unfriendly service seems fairly common for this location. Took over 40 min to get my food once I ordered it at the drive through. Placed my order right around 12:30pm and was finally handed my food at 1:15pm. And the lady at the window could not have possibly cared less. She did tell me, as she handed my food to me, that they were short staffed but if that’s the case have the common courtesy to inform people BEFORE they order. A 40+ minutes wait at ANY restaurant is insane, much less a fast food place. If I could have safely hopped the curb in my car I would have. Clearly never coming back here. The cherry in top of this god awful experience? They forgot my FLIPPING SALSA.

Not impressed and disgusting food. Waited 45 minutes to get the food. Everything is microwaved in plastic containers. Then watched them use actual cardboard containers as spatulas to get food and sauces out of hot bins to transfer it on to the food. They then Store the food in plastic bags which then get transferred into high heat metal bins which release bpa toxins into the food. All thier meats, sauces and food is stored as such. I'll never be going back there. Then they microwave everything!!!!!!!! Disgusting. Actually the health department will be getting a call from us to have it inspected. Not Worth risking your health or money.

Ive reviewed this before.. they aren't any better .. all sauces were empty.. and counter around the sauces was gross and dirty with spills ... Piles of trays on trash bins so I am guessing tables haven't been cleaned in awhile either ... No silverware in the bins ... Several families waiting for food .. don't know why the taco cabanas are ALL so bad in San Antonio ..

There’s a young woman there with way too much attitude and just tosses food on the counter at you. Incredibly rude and not to mention the food is always wrong. And when you tell them that the food is incorrect she doesn’t help. Never coming here again. Go to the freebirds or las palapas down the road.

Again this is a complete joke. Ordered chicken fajitas meal. Did not get green peppers or onions, no pico, cheese, sour cream. Ordered extra guacamole that I paid for and got queso, ordered 4 fried pies and got 3. I was there a week ago and waited in drive through for 15 minutes for 6 breakfast tacos. Was told only 2 of us are here. I’m not coming back

September 18th around 8:30 I came in to pickup an online order. I couldn't add jalapeños on the app with my order so I went inside to ask for some with my order since it wasn't complete yet. I go to the young woman at the counter and ask if jalapeños can be added to my order, without speaking she points to the set up in the middle that has salsa, jalapeños, etc. I go over and see there's no jalapeños, I go back and ask if they have more. She goes to the back and grabs a small container of them and throws them on the counter without saying anything again. I see a bag on the counter and ask if its mine, she says yeah. I realize part of my order isn't inside so I wait. She eventually comes back and asks "Are you waiting for something?". I told her I don't think my cabana bowl is inside the bag. She looks at the screen then grabs a box in front of her and also tosses it on the counter. I felt very uncomfortable and the store was empty besides myself. I don't know why she had such an attitude but I don't think I'll be back to Taco Cabana ever again because of how uncomfortable I felt. I already spoke to customer service and they did nothing so that shows me they don't care about their customers.

We have 10 minutes waiting at front of the register.Not even the manager came to let us know they will be taking care of us in anytime. Bad customer service. Just an employee that was fixing a drink told us that sorry we are to busy. They only have at lunch time two person. Bad administration. They can’t take care of the customers then close this location. Will help better being close that ignore the customer this way. Behind us was another customer. We left the store very unsatisfied

What a joke. Pulled up at 10 am on a Saturday, ordered two of their breakfast taco boxes and waited about thirty minutes for NOTHING. Walked in and a worker is throwing tortillas away as they’re cooking, manager is refunding three other people and says she doesn’t know what’s happening and that she can offer me a refund instead of doing their jobs. Absolutely ridiculous.

Update: after 30 mins i cancelled my order and went elsewhere 20+ minute wait for 2 bean & cheese, 2 bacon & egg, and 2 beef fajita tacos. 3 other SINGLE PERSON parties in the dining room. No matter the time or crowd, its always more than a 20 minute wait. If you're hungry go somewhere else for prompt service.

Waited forever for my food and they weren’t even busy just for the asada meat to be tough and over cooked. The tortillas were like pulling on rubber, the beans were thicc! And the rice has zero flavor. Not only that but you forgot the lime and threw my food in a pile of guacamole… gross… to top it all off dude in the drive thru isn’t really a people person so why is he even facing the public?

Waiting 40 minutes AFTER placing an online order at a fast food place is Ludacris. Half of the staff stand around while two people rush around preparing everything. I also can't believe that a broken down car has been rotting in their parking lot for over 2 months. *Updated to add, they made my order wrong then the worker just scooped off what I didn't want instead of remaking it.

I ordered a steak fajita bowl with no lettuce in the drive through. I asked several times to make sure it had no lettuce. The drive thru guy guy even put it on the order specifically saying no lettuce. Now when I get home to eat, I open the container to find so much lettuce. I call and call and call the store but they don’t answer. I have never had such horrible service. People have food allergies and when they request an ingredient to be removed from the order, it needs to be taken seriously. This is very disappointing. It’s not a little bit of lettuce and by the amount of lettuce clearly they intentionally added lettuce.
