I've enjoyed subway in Inwood wv 3x in the last two weeks and after taking a break as a regular I am excited to eat there, they do it just right at this store.
Nobody makes a meatball sub like Subway! It's always been my favorite. IT'S BETTER THAN ANY OTHER SHOP. THANKFULLY THEY GOT RID OF JERROD.
Had a wonderful visit on my most recent trip here. They labeled all of the subs for my children, with their names on the bags. They also did not hesitate when I asked for a side of meat for my dog who was in the car. Thank you, staff members!
My family and I have eaten there twice without any issues. Food is fresh and prepared as requested. We did take the early closing time mentioned in other reviews into consideration and went earlier.
Last time I was here - disaster! We walked out as nobody served us. Today was outstanding! Service was outstanding and the food was excellent
I absolutely LOVE this Subway. The manager and staff are outstanding in their service. They manage the quality of the food wonderfully and very fast, friendly service when I’m running late to work. The best across the board!

I have gone to this subway basically every Thursday and Friday since June for lunch. The staff are great and the subs are amazing each time I order.
Fast clean and friendly. Bathroom clean. Easy access off and on highway and gas station next door.. perfect pit stop for trip from NY to FL

My friend lives in Inwood and for years we always come here for subs when I visit. I live in Naples FL and my family has given up on Subway due to the horrible, rude employees in every franchise there. I won't go into further details. BUT this Subway is AWESOME. We were greeted by young ladies with smiles, subs were made perfectly as requested, such a great experience. You are an asset to this franchise. See you again next time !
My husband and I stopped in as a last mintue dinner decision after a long day of appointments. This store has always been our location of convenience. Tonight there were three young people working. One was being trained by another. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted. As we approached the counter to order the workers conversated with us, talked nicely to each other, and showed us the upmost respect. The food was prepared and handled with care. The bread was super soft, which is amazing because one sandwich was for my eighty year old father. They thanked us, and genuinely seemed to like what they were doing and it showed. This location has not always been great in those areas, so I wanted to make it my mission to commend Jazzlyne, Alex, and Abby for a job well done. I hope you three continue to work there as it was a delight to walk into your warm welcomes and wonderful attitudes after the day we had. THANK YOU!
Ms Rhonda is a rockstar! She has been running the store by herself all day none stop with customer after customer. Not only is she assisting walk in customers as well as online orders, she is also making the bread! She needs a raise and a promotion.
My experience with Subway is always different from different stores. I guess with Subway, it all depends on the person who prepares your sandwich in front of you with different choice of salad and sauce. I had really great experience with Subway this time in Inwood. I wanted something spicy in sandwiches. The girl help with smile, and I asked her that I want spicy chicken Sub, and I asked her she can use her choice of salad and sauce. Boy, she made one of the best best spicy chicken sub in brown bread with cheese and all salad items and extra spicy sauce and that did the magic. She used 3 different kind of sauces, I just kept quite as I wanted to know what she is doing. When I went home with that Sub, Omg , I was thrilled to have it, exactly super spicy melting each and every pores of my tongue 😝 .

I came in Sunday evening. The young lady was vacuuming the lobby she seen me coming and shut off the vacuum cleaner, which I thought was very polite. It made it a lot easier for me to order being an older person that is hard of hearing the gentleman behind the counter who made my sandwich was very polite and very good at what he did. It was a very pleasant experience. I will be back.

I've watched this store go downhill. No meatballs were ready to serve. Half the containers were empty. Tomatoes were yellow and hard. It's worth the travel to Kearneysville (subway) for excellent service and fresh, ready food.
The sandwich was made correctly but the bread was horribly stale. It should not have been served.
Took forever to make 2 sandwiches and very sloppily done so, improper charge for my sandwich, sweet tea was unsweetened, explanation was "manager made it, I don't know what happened", didn't seem to care about much of anything, horrible communication skills in general, very unfriendly staff.

The manager was very understanding and helped fixed the problem . We didn't want a refund just to have our order filled.
The girl that made my sub talked to the cashier and person that was in the back the whole time she waited on me. I ordered a sub with mild pepper rings and easy on the hot pepper sauce. She put a heaping tablespoon of sauce (not what I consider easy) on the middle of the sub spreading it out but, leaving most of it in the middle. I mentioned that but she did not hear me over her conversation with her co-workers. I looked over at their drink selection and when I looked back she had put a handful of jalapeno pepper rings on it. I once again got her attention and told her here to take them off. I did not order jalapenos. She told me I did order them and took each one off and forcibly tossed each one in the trash. I ordered a heated/toasted sub. She put that in the oven while continuing her conversation with co-workers. When I got home I unwrapped the warm sub to find most of the bun was black burnt/charred. The was from her leaving it in too long and her being distracted. That Subway is close to home but, next time I will go to the one inside Pilot/Flying Js about 5 minutes further away from my house than the one in Inwood.

The worst Subway subs we’ve ever had. The veggie selection was poor, what was there was not fresh. Hardly any meat on our subs, only 2 types of bread to choose from and the bread we got was Not fresh, extremely flaky and just crumbled apart. No where near worth the $30 plus that we paid.
Went in and there were 3 people working 1 was a manager. Only one person making sandwiches. Neither one of the other two employees counting the manager stepped up to take the next customer. The attitude was you can wait. Sorry but not spending money in a place who does NOT value their customers.
Very RUDE staff, and no customer service skills whatsoever! They acted as though we were inconveniencing them, by our being there! They got our order completely wrong, after being reminded of a specific request. Ladies room was dirty and un-stocked. Sadly, this was the second bad experience we've had at this specific Subway. We'll go to Sheetz, from now on. "Zero" stars, IMO.
Lets start with the men's bathroom, no toilet paper, no paper towels and no soap. Next the face mask, all 3 employees had their face mask below the nose and one had it below the mouth. If it is required for the customers to wear the face mask properly... why is it that the employees don't wear them the way they are supposed to be worn.
Messed up our sandwich put 1 little piece of steak bread so dry like dirt and when we try to get a replacement they want to be lazy n start being very disrespectful to me and my boyfriend would not recommend made my anxiety go up
This is the 4th straight time and the last time I will walk into a subway store to get my family dinner. I am told Sorry no meatball subs every single time? I have to wonder why its on your menu not to mention listed as a sandwich of the day. I know it my hard earned money doesnt mean much to a corporation but it does to me. I will never be back.
I want to Vomit. I’ve been to subways that either they have one person running the cash register or if they are touching it they change their gloves. I literally saw this kid touch the cash register then touch the food. That’s nasty! I told my husband to get out of the line. Never coming here again
I came to the store on Christmas Eve at five minutes after three. They said they were open till 330. The door was locked the little short girl that was working, turned around and looked at me and two other customers behind me and darted in the back so needless to say, we returned the way, the store should’ve been open
There were flies in the vegetables, the men's bathroom key was on the counter near the subs, the staff was unpleasant and was talking very inappropriatly about there disgusting lives, have seen this place "close early" by just locking the doors and keeping customers out. One of the staff was eating a sub she made, no gloves, didn't wash hands, then made a sub for a customer. Needs to be shut down
Nasty! Took forever with 2 ppl....They were out of italian herb cheese and the bread is under cooked that we did get!!! Squishy! My sandwich was sufficated in mayo. You ask for dbl meat and they cant do that. Never going back again. If you want subway or chinese food Inwood is not the place!!!
Would give zero stars if I could. This is the worst subway I have ever gone to. I have give this place at least 5 tries. It has the rudest staff they act like you are an inconvenient to them. Even the blonde day shift manager is rude as can be. I will not return.
Google times say closing time is 8pm....doors were locked at 7:43 and employees ignored at least 4 customers trying to come in. Also, no hours posted anywhere on the store itself. If I could give no stars I would!
This is the WORST subway I’ve ever been to! First off when I asked for my sub they started making the wrong one. I also asked for my sub to be toasted but it was still cold. They also didn’t even have buffalo sauce.
Do not bring kids here. They had the most vulgar music playing through the whole store way to loud even for non-offensive music

I visited Subway in Inwood, WV on January 14, 2026, at approximately 5:05 p.m. to pick up my order. My sub was ready upon arrival, and I confirmed with the employee that my requested toppings had been included. After returning home and getting halfway through my sandwich, I discovered a long, straight hair inside the sub wrapping. I immediately stopped eating and documented the incident at the time, though I no longer have access to the photo. An entire month has passed since the incident, and while I attempted to save the image for future reference, I have been unable to locate it. I submitted a complaint through Sammy, Subway’s AI assistant, and allowed sufficient time for a response via email. I do have documentation of that contact. However, I received no reply regarding the food contamination itself. I then contacted the restaurant directly and spoke with a woman who identified herself as a manager. I explained the situation in detail. She stated she would inform upper management but did not offer a refund, replacement, or any immediate resolution. With experience in the culinary and hospitality industry, I understand that mistakes can occur. However, proper food safety protocols—such as securing hair and maintaining strict hygiene standards—exist to prevent this type of issue. When a contamination incident is reported, it should be addressed promptly and professionally. As of February 18, 2026, I have received no follow-up communication from the restaurant or from Subway regarding this matter. Food safety and customer care should be taken seriously. This experience fell short on both counts.

After that customer service went downhill. We've been there the times lately. The first time was ok, so we went back. Second time the doors were locked. Tonight will be the last time. This time I figured out why the doors were locked. At 630pm long before closing. They said this while I was in the store. They are too busy and too much to do before closing. They were going to have to lock the doors. So they are too busy to sell subs. Others issues Customer service They don't know there own menu Slow They need to be taught what a toasted sub is Higher prices and poor quality
We have been frequent customers of this location and the service seems to be deteriorating exponentially over the last 6 months or so. Last night's visit was by far the worst. To begin with, when I arrived to grab our dinner order on the way home from doing our weekly shopping the door to the establishment was locked. I would have walked away and selected another option and in retrospect I should have done just that. The first thing she said before I was even able to place an order was "you should be aware that we have no Italian herbs and cheese bread." No biggie they have other bread options.. but wait.. they had 2 - 6" wheat and 2 - 12" white loaves and nothing more. Really?? Trying to meet the request from my husband I said we'd work with that.. thinking we could get the sandwiches on the remaining white loaves.. but wait.. When I ordered the boss she said we only have enough meatballs for a 6" sandwich and when I ordered the monster I got the same result.. only enough for a 6"?? But I decided to stick it out and completely changed the order to try the new subs on 6" and ordered a 12" tuna to supplement. All because they sent out coupons to get 2 foot longs for $12.99. In the end - a dinner that should have been less than $20.00 ended up costing over $30.00 by the time we added a tip. Why tip? Because it was obvious she was new, wasn't familiar with the menu at all and the other associate in the store made it clear they weren't offering any support. When I attempted to call the store today the message was "this number has been disconnected and is no longer in service!" Be assured that I will familiarize myself with the store(s) in Martinsburg going forward. If they don't want to provide what the customers ask for then they should close their doors.
Just went and spent a Lil over $30 for 2 footlong cold cut trios with a little oil and vinegar. Not only did they load the sandwiches up with so much oil and vinegar that it seeped out of the wrappers and bag but it made the subs extremely soggy. Upon taking a few bites we immediately knew something was off as we've never tasted something just so nasty. Upon opening the sandwich and checking we discovered it was nothing but bologne on the trio. After calling and speaking with a employee we were informed that a cold cut trio ONLY COMES WITH BOLOGNE.....that don't even make a lick of sense. We will not be returning. The prices of things are so high at the very least we should be receiving the product we have paid for and the quality that we are paying for. Literally just threw away $30 I for 1 don't mind a slice of bologne on the sub as it comes with a slice but I do not want or even like to eat a sandwich caked on with nothing but bologne and ex oil and vinegar. This is a meal I'll never forget and for all the wrong reasons

Here again the transgender Shemal dude literally refused to serve me just because I got there 15 minutes before they closed and he made an excuse that he’s having a meeting with the manager which was a complete lie. Subway still has to serve because customers always come I saw there was no manager in there. They just wanted to get out of here early.
Ordered online 2 hours prior to pickup and for the 2nd time, staff claimed to run out of ingredients. They did not have our order ready, and had only just started making our sandwiches a few minutes before our scheduled arrival. When I asked the rudest of the employees why they didn't put aside ingredients for the order when I placed it, she was VERY rude and standoff-ish. When I asked the cashier what the rude employee's name was, she rudely stated "I don't know." Got sandwiches home and the order was incorrect on top of everything else. No customer service skills, or even the basic knowledge of courtesy. This location is ridiculous. The staff is inept and rude. Will tell everyone I know in the area to avoid this restaurant. There are other restaurants in the area who capable of actual human interaction and getting an order right.

Worst Subway... We've been going to this Subway for 16 years and it has continually got worse! Tonight we did an on line order, 6 subs, and the entire order was wrong. When we went back they had already put everything away. The two intelligently challenged pieces of human flesh didn't know what to do and couldn't refund our money or make new subs. No apologies, no help and we won't be going back, except to get a refund from the manager. Absolute joke, but I guess my expectations are too high for Inwood. Pathetic
I’ve never had the pleasure of going to a circus and seeing a strong man bend a car. Today however I had the pleasure of watching one completely flatten my sub and then slowly molest it with a knife. I have never seen someone put their weight onto a sub role and crush it. Quite literally the weirdest experience of my life. The sub was trashed and fell apart. As a fat man in good standing i was very disappointed in this experience.
