We had a large group and the service was incredible! We had a small menu because of the size of the group, but it offered so many options, everyone had something they loved. The avocado toast and brussel sprouts (appetizers) were incredible!! If you like crispy brussel sprouts, you will go crazy for these ones!! It was a fun experience and the speedy service did not disappoint!!!
Well. Reservation was honored immediately, which is awesome. Sat on the patio on a Friday evening. Busy but not overwhelmingly. Irwin our server gave us the full intro with specials and recs. Very friendly and brought out items as requested and missed nothing. So that was lovely. As for the drinks. Wouldn’t ya know shocked me with the full cucumber flavor with a hint of sweet. What a perfect blend of these flavors. This drink was second to the first place winner of the night which was the friggin pork chop! Thankfully we did family style because I got the sugar barrel steak mid rare. Banana pudding at the end fed the whole table. 1st place that pork chop plate. 2nd the cucumber cocktail. 3rd sugar barrel steak. Other plates were still great but those were the runaways. Grilled fish was everyone else’s favorite but who cares what they think. Espresso martini was nice as was the country bread with the ranch butter. Really wasn’t wow’d by the ahi tuna or the pork belly or the mushroom fingers. Still good, don’t get me wrong…but I would try other items before returning to those. Cooked great, presentation great. Just not my gig. I would describe the atmosphere as a dramatic, moody, mellow vibe with glowing lights. Felt intimidate even though tables surrounded you.
Food was delicious, had the mushroom fries, pig candy, and country bread as starters, which were amazing. We had the steak and short ribs as our entree and both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was great and the staff was very attentive. The restaurant had a cool, chill, and casual vibe. Would definitely come back!
I've been wanting to come here for some time and tonight was it. Parking was easy and 3 hour validation at restaurant. The place is decorated very dark wood and low lighting and I loved it. The service was friendly and helpful to select the right item. She recommended for me the Boss Lady as I told her I like sweet whiskey and it was perfect. We started with the country bread and it was so freakin good. If you love garlic, then you need to try it. For my main I had the prime rib sandwich with cheese and it was one of the best I've had. Thick slices of meat and the au jus sauce was perfect. For dessert I had the apple pie and it did not disappoint. It not cheap but so worth it for those special occasions.
Kelsey was our server for the early lunch hour. I had a party of three. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air and breeze. I had the KC Chicken meatballs, my sister had the burger smashies and my nephew had the garden salad with chicken. We all enjoyed our meals. On this hot summer day we decided to skip the cocktails. This is a chill place to watch a sports game or to meet up with friends. This restaurant plays some of the best rock ‘n’ roll from the 70’s and 80’s. Be sure to get your parking validated.
This was our first time visiting "Bosscat". Just the fact that a place like this exists within the heart of contemporary Irvine office towers is amazing. Another surprise is the pricing of the food offerings: very reasonable. Overall, the food was very good, with the short rib chilaquiles being a standout. The drink menu is a bit pricier, but this is their thing (libations), and our selections were excellent. The service was professional and super friendly from beginning to end. The waiter noticed we had a ticket from the nearby parking garage and happily had it validated. Minus the drinks, you could easily spend the same on so-so food at any chain diner, so why not come here for a much better experience? We definitely will again.
Every time I walk into Bosscat Irvine it feels like someone rolled out a celebration just for me. I still dream about their Loco Moco from brunch, it always hits the spot and happy hour there is a real treasure with local beer taps glowing and the room buzzing with friendly chatter. When dinner arrives I order the 12 hour beef short rib without hesitation. It melts in your mouth and the crisp buttery garlic mushroom green beans are nothing short of heavenly. I owe a special thanks to the bar team Nick, Kate, Travis and the rest, who always steer me toward something amazing. Nick nudged me toward the “Butter Burger” that perfect smash burger might be the best in town and later Nick turned me on to the Nick Special SmashBurger which lives up to its name (That was the best burger I’ve ever eaten). Oh any, make sure to try the Bosscat fries. The beer and whiskey selection always delights, and right now I can’t get enough of Brewery X Slap and Tickle IPA, that crisp citrus leaning punch. From the bar staff keeping our glasses full to the kitchen crew turning out outstanding dishes every time, the entire team at Bosscat makes me feel genuinely welcome. Thank you for making every visit feel like a special occasion. I keep coming back because you make me feel right at home. Oh, if Oscars at the bar ask him for the magic coffee, coffee with just a hint of magic.
My wife and her friends had visited this spot for a girls’ night out and came back raving about it, so I knew I had to try it myself. We stopped in for lunch while we were in the area, and from the moment we arrived, I was impressed. The entrance and patio area exuded upscale saloon vibes, featuring dark wood finishes and Edison bulb lighting that added a warm, rustic charm. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated. Our waitress was attentive, taking our drink orders right away. We started with the pig candy, which was absolutely delicious. I ordered an Old Fashioned and a Bloody Mary—my go-to—and both were top-notch. For lunch, I had the prime rib dip with fries. The au jus was flavorful, and the fries were more like hearty potato wedges, served with their in-house ketchup. As a loyal Heinz fan, I was skeptical, but it won me over. My wife ordered the Bosscat Burger, which looked incredible. We finished with a fried apple pie that was hands-down the best I’ve had in a while. The restaurant’s decor was stunning, especially the private room with a whiskey wall and gold birdcages. Tip: validate your parking before leaving the paid structure!
I have been coming here for a long time, especially for allocated bourbon whiskeys. Not many places have great selection of allocated bottles, so this restaurant has been the only option. Nick and Victoria are very friendly, and Nick seems to know a lot about bourbon so it was helpful to communicate with him, and food was also very tasty. I tried top shelf bourbons like old rip van winkle, boss hog, blade and bow 22years, wild turkey master’s keep Voyage, russell’s rickhouse, and also other whiskeys like yamazaki 18 years and aberfeldy 21 years. If you love whiskeys, this place is the perfect place to try some glasses before you buy a bottle.
Wow, what an incredible night! The atmosphere here is just perfect, with so many comfortable and stylish seating options. You'll feel right at home. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal! Seriously, some of the freshest, most perfectly cooked dishes we've had in California. If you're a whiskey lover, prepare to be amazed! Their selection is mind-blowing – over 250 varieties! And to top it all off, the desserts are simply divine. Get ready for a smile that won't quit. You've got to experience this place!
First time going here. Food and drinks were excellent. Had a fantastic vibe. Chill but classy. The cream corn brulee was good but wasn't my thing. The spinach and artichoke egg rolls were different and delicious, as was the shrimp and grits. The pork belly melted in my mouth. Would definitely go back!
I was able to score a Saturday night reservation day of for this busy restaurant. It’s located in a sort of weird mix-use complex but is gorgeous and feels new. We ended up posting up at the bar for my first visit in and most likely gets busy for happy hour with the surrounding office buildings around. Drinks were solid and the bartenders attentive. Got two sandwiches that were delicious as well. Not sure about the giant log potatoes as fries but besides that this place was a pleasant surprise.
Bosscat Kitchen & Libations in Irvine is a truly special dining experience. The ambiance is absolutely incredible, with a stylish and sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The bar is beautifully designed, and the drinks are expertly crafted. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, showcasing creative flavor combinations and high-quality ingredients. For dessert, the Banana Pudding was an absolute must-try. It was a decadent and unforgettable treat. To top it all off, the customer service was impeccable.
A really cute restaurant with an affordable menu and chill ambiance. I ordered the berry salad and added Salmon. The salmon was fresh. The salad had a bit too much dressing for my liking so I might recommend adding it to the side as it seemed to be drenched in it. I think it would have been nice to have a cheese or bread side to the fridge to balance the robust berry flavors. The server Ray was extremely kind and attentive. There is 3 hours free in the parking garage with validation here.

Loved the open outside vibe from this establishment. Food was great as well as service. Prices were reasonable for portions. Parking was odd in garage to get to the restaurant, still had to pay even though it was validated at the restaurant. Still would recommend stopping in for a bite to eat or drink anyway. Well worth the visit.
Loved the vibe here—it’s a fun indoor-outdoor space with a great mix of cocktails, beer, and wine. The service was a bit slow due to our waiter manning the old fashion made table side station. The happy hour menu is a steal, with options like short rib grilled cheese, fried pickles, and burgers all under $10. We started with the tuna lettuce wraps, which looked promising but ended up falling flat flavor-wise. Thankfully, the entrees more than made up for it—the burger “chef’s way” was massive, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the prime rib sandwich was rich, buttery, and perfectly tender. I’d absolutely come back for happy hour and have my eye on the spicy chicken sandwich next time.

The music was so loud and the choice of songs made me feel like I am hardcore rock concert. It was extremely unpleasant. The food was ok, I ordered soup, and instead of a big bowl of soup I got very small portion and bunch of bread I am not allowed to eat. Corn was extremely spicy as well. Do not recommend.
So great atmosphere and visited on a sunday morning. Food was basically "average". Presentation was excellent but recipes weren't fantastic. Cinnamon roll was good, but not as good as it looked. "Donut burger" was Ok, but "donut" was very tough and dense. Prices were good on meals ($16-$20 for breakfast) but drinks were same price, so bill was very high for 5 people eating breakfast ($220.00) The atmosphere and service was very good. Overall, probably would not go back - much better breakfast places for less money.

This place has me torn. I've been to this place twice and my first experience was everything I wanted. A restaurant experience to be. The food was amazing. The decor was amazing. Design of the restaurant. The service was on point. Everything was great. Then I came back here and everything was horrible. The food came out late. The service was horrible even when I tried to say something. Well that's not us. It was just horrible and then the food wasn't as good. Everything was just bad and so I'm over this place. I would not recommend it

Really disappointing experience. I was overcharged and my order was wrong. I asked for the ahi lettuce bites from the lunch menu, which are $12, but was given the chicken version instead. On top of that, the server told me I could substitute the potatoes and green beans that come with the 22oz ribeye for Brussels sprouts, but I was charged for their maple Brussels sprouts appetizer instead—definitely not a simple substitution. The food itself was too salty and not worth the price. The cold brew tasted like water with a hint of coffee and coconut. And I do believe the server meant well, but the combination of mistakes and overcharges was enough for me to decide not to return.
We had 11am reservation and the experience was mishandled from the start. Our server appeared visibly inconvenienced by basic hospitality requests including providing cold water and a cushion for my back (I was using a walker and the seating was wooden) The tone felt dismissive and unwelcoming. She hadn’t came back to our table for over 10min so we flagged down another staff and requested a different server. Instead, the manager came to the table and I explicitly asked whether switching servers would be “a big deal” and that priority was simply getting our order placed promptly. Instead of entering our order and resolving the staffing issue afterward, the manager refused to take the order and insisted on discussing what had happened first. I asked if we could address the situation after placing our order but that request was declined. We then waited approx 30 min for that reassignment to occur. Our order wasn’t entered until the new server arrived, and reset our wait time. As a result, our food did not arrive until 1 hour and 20 minutes after our reservation time. The issue was not simply the delay it was the decision to prioritize internal procedure over service. Had we been clearly informed that switching servers would result in such a significant delay we would have made a different decision and dropped it & given feedback afterwards. Additionally, there was no acknowledgment or attempt to remedy the extended wait. This situation could have been resolved quickly by entering the order first and handling staffing internally. Instead, it became an unnecessarily prolonged experience due to poor management handling.
