The staff here is always very friendly and welcoming! Consistently good food and I’ve never had a problem with my takeout orders.

The food was good. The servers were pleasant. The place was clean and there was a person cleaning the tables after the customers ate. I noticed that at El Pollo Loco more than other places. Also they have the restrooms open unlike other places they have them closed.

What are the better locations for this restaurant. Excellent service. Outstanding employees. Food looks like the menu. When I ask for something extra was given without question. Tables were extremely clean as were the floor and the bathrooms.

The Irvine restaurant on Alton Pkwy and Jeffrey does an outstanding job. The restaurant is always clean and the food is fresh and delicious. They are a very friendly and efficient team that work there.

Even though the place is quite crowded at lunch time, the service is great. Staffs are friendly and if they made a mistake in the order they are willing to compensate you with extras. I waited for so long one day and I am in a rush I think they forgot my order and they did. After they found out their mistake, they gave me one extra piece of chicken. I did not eat it all but I liked their attitude.

The food and service here is phenomenal. They are always smiling and provide happiness to the customers. Grat work yall!

Employees here are so nice! They really seem to care about their job and their guests. It is very refreshing. They work really hard to get the orders out to the guests. The food is excellent. I have not had any complaints. It is delicious! Fun environment.

Given the current state of the economy and high inflation rates, finding a satisfying meal for under $10 can be challenging. However, while passing by, I decided to stop in for a quick bite. Despite not being very hungry, I chose to try their $5 Pollo Bowl, and it turned out to be a great choice. I was pleasantly surprised by how filling the meal was, and it allowed me to continue with my day without spending too much money.

This is the best ran and cleanest El Pollo loco we’ve ever been to. The manager was working hard to assist his staff by removing trash (washing his hands each time), cleaning the restrooms, directing his staff, and running the front registers. Amazing staff and restaurant.

I am speechless, I have gone to many Pollo Locos and this one is hands down the best experience ever, the moment we walked in my mood changed. The restaraunt was well maintained and clean. There was a man welcoming everyone coming through the door. The food was out super fast. Nobody looked lazy or unhappy there which was a nice energy to be around while having lunch. Later a lady and the same man welcoming people were walking around checking up on tables. I don't think it's required of them to do that however this is a perfect example of going out of your way to make sure your customers are happy. Always quality food. I like that I can consider it clean eating for the most part. Pricing can be questionable if you're feeding a family so definitely look for the family meals, specials and coupons.

The Best Drive-thru experience in all my visits to the El Pollo Loco!!! I am writing this review because of 5 star experience that I received from Andre today at this location. He tended all my requests with smile and politeness. I told him that I had poor experience and avoided this location until now. And, he told me that they may have been very busy when I received poor service. Andre was also humble, too. I hope Andre become significant part of this location and El Pollo Loco.

I feel like El pollo loco is underrated really. The chicken is honestly amazing for such a simple place. Everything else can be a hit or miss but the chicken is always spot on, if you come here, you definitely have to try the chicken, if you try anything else then you can't complain or else your just a Crazy Chicken. The service is great, they are fast and efficient and generous. The ambiance is casual with some good music playing, the music is played at a slightly above average sound level. Seats are cushioned and well lit with some outdoor seating is some nice weather.

Delicious food and excellent friendly service. I had the 3 piece chicken combo (breast and wing). I chose cole slaw and macaroni and cheese as my 2 side orders. My chicken was hot and delicious and so were the side orders. The condiment bar was very clean and I helped myself to some lemons and 2 different kinds of salsa. Wow, did I just go to heaven?

Use coupon to save money if possible. So far all my experiences at EPL has been great. They need to change or update their hot salsa, which is kinda lackluster.

I 1st went to the Jamboree and barranca location location, and it was filthy dirty. They had every table in the restaurant had crumbs, without any guests, and the counter where you order had sticky spills and greasy mess all over, and the 1 employee was rolling a burrito ontop of old dried re-fried beans and old lettuce, and I told them it was disgusting, and the manger wouldn't come out of her office to face me. So I ran out of there and drove further to the Alton Parkway &Jeffrey location and it was clean, and the service was great. But forget the one on jamboree till they get better management.

We love this somewhat healthier option of fast-food and it's conveniently close to our house! We always seem to be missing an item here and there, but the staff is really friendly and they always help make our order right!

Forgot to give me my receipt that I had to go back for it. Other than that, it was good enough. Edit: Tried again, and attempted to not give me a receipt again. Had to ask for it. I get back and my chicken was cold and not freshly cooked. Yes, I came there two hours before closing, but still, they shouldn't have been cleaning up already! ...Also, the guy didn't ask me for any condiments. I had to tap my horn and another person came to the window to give me the salsas. I get home and the green salsa wasn't even fresh! ...Like seriously guys, what's up?! Chicken, lots of chicken available, hence the name. Good food for a fair price. Family style meals are particularly good and cost efficient. Service is fast food, so check your order before leaving. If you like their sauces, be especially attentive before driving away. Their green sauce is addictive. I have been threatened by my family for not having checked for the amount of sauce asked for - don't worry - I am ok!

Definitely a busy spot at lunch and dinner times! The crew is friendly and all about service, every time I go I get asked at least twice how everything is or was! For a fast food place the service is outstanding and it's always clean! I love the lunch specials! Crazy value for the pollo bowl which comes with a drink and tortillas for only 5 dollars!

Look, it's El Pollo Loco! Don't expect miracles. This location is always fast and the workers are polite and efficient. It's not their fault that the chickens died of malnutrition. The chicken crazy is no so crazy but is much chicken. I had a first date here as weird as that sounds. Like who goes on a first date to El Pollo Loco? Perhaps this is why it's crazy, eh? The date actually turned out to be good. The chicken was actually good. First time at an El Pollo for like... a long time, a year, many years? Then later the dude did crazy dude things and I never spoke to him again. But at least I had good chicken!

Noticeably overpriced compared to other branches in the area (and elsewhere). Quality is on par or slightly below that of other locations as well. Customer service is excellent though.

It's a busy place but the food is good. I walked out during a lunch rush one time because the service was extremely slow. Other than that it's clean and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy your food!

The workers were helpful but the food is too expensive. Inflation is a factor but profit is too extreme for the customer. It looks like alot of business's will fail in the future. Customer's can't sustain it.

I am disappointed with my New Street Corn Double Pollo salad bowl yesterday I order the same one but had everything so fresh and all the ingredients it was so delicious and perfect I order online 1 hour ahead to be ready and fresh made today it was missing the chili lime on top the avocado is hard and not ready to eat and the chicken was over cooked and cold and I order online again ahead since my lunch is 1 hour so want to enjoy it today I did not enjoy the salad

I usually order the chicken tortilla rollers. Just one is perfect accompanied by their cilantro sauce. On this occasion I got a roller with a lot of gristle which makes me sick. Ended up giving it to my husband

When these first came out in CA (I lived there) they were great. Huge lines. But now I live in Texas and tried them here, they suck. So while visiting in CA we tried one there. It is good. I would eat there again, but it's not what it used to be. Maybe I need to try a third time in Texas.

This location has good food. Me and my husband really like pollo loco and have ordered 3 times in the last 2 weeks from this location. One a mobile order and two drive thru. In our mobile order we asked for salsas and specified the quantity. We picked up the order and asked if all the salsas were there because it seemed like there was only dressing for the salad. They said everything was in the bag without checking and we left. The salsas weren’t there and the food was less enjoyable without the salsas it’s kind of bland. Today we give a third chance even though they haven’t gotten our order right in a while. We tried drive through and ordered some chicken tortilla soup. They gave the salsas and my husband asked where the tortilla strips for the soup were. They said “everything is in the bag.” We get home and there’s just salsa and no toppings. Not bad food by any means but it’s annoying because this is pricier fast food and they always act like this at this location.

Just another El Pollo Loco location…Asked for extra cheese on my grilled tortilla roll up thing which has been changed up and they charged me for it but there was less cheese on it than if I hadn’t asked for extra! Menu has been changed up(grilled tortilla roll up) and my favorite jalapeño hot sauce packets are no more.☹️Think I’m done with this chain …

Honestly if there were another El Pollo Loco reasonably close by, I would go there instead and here's why. Parking and the drive-thru entrance don't always flow smoothly. Actually at peak times it becomes a nightmare with parking lot jam up. Also I've noticed that the chicken is drier then it's sister restaurants. And like the parking lot jam you actually get the same thing inside only it's at the soda fountain dispenser. The service is great. The place is clean. It's located in a good shopping area. Lots of interesting and friendly people shop in the area. My suggestion to anyone who may read this review is to stay away during peak hours at lunch and dinner or at least call or order online and if its possible have your order paid for minimum wait time and hopefully avoid the confusion.

Employees should stay home if they are having a bad day. The lady at the drive thru was not in the best mood. First time here and made me not want to come back. Also they should let you know it will be a long wait before they charge you. Some people need to go places thats why we choose drive thru, we cant sit around and wait

Foods usually pretty good. They forget stuff like half the time though (tortillas, fork, napkins, drink etc). So, double check.

I order 3 pc meal with a breast and two thighs. I paid extra and I got two small thigs and a leg. I also ordered two bean sides on sealed containers but they poured them on the plate. I didn't want them on the plate. They don't know how to follow directions

Every time we come here and pick up an online order, we are missing an item. It’s my fault for not checking before I go home. It’s happened 3 times. Each time they’ve offered some kind of compensation. But today they were just plain rude about it. They even snickered to each other about how they knew the item was missing. When they gave me the item, it had the tiniest amount of dried chicken bits on it.

Today was my first time ever eating El Pollo Loco, food was delicious and staff very nice but I promptly got food poisoning. Too bad.

We always order from this location and for the last few months became really bad, I order tostadas and is totally different from the menu. Same price no Avocados, no tomatoes, no sour cream, what is going on with you guys? Will not be there anymore.

These guys are slow and unprofessional. 7 people with two customers in line and I had to wait 5 minutes for the order to be placed. On top of that...they were asking me what did I ordered... An 8th person came out to mumble something in Spanglish... I couldn't understand a word and I do speak Spanish . the food comes cold as well.

The clerks work there are supposed to be fired and never get a job. They let me waited for another 30 minutes when I already placed an pick up order online 30 minutes in advance. They didn’t give me any utensils，I guess they wanna me eat by hands. They didn’t give me any sauce. I also got the sides which was not what I ordered. Totally ridiculous.

They have no shame. They've raised prices a lot. At the same time reduced the portions. Some reduced to half like tostada salad. No shame at all. Cook your own food people.

This place mixes in old chicken along with fresh chicken with the family meals. Sadly, I have to pick out the old pieces and do without them. I know that they the restaurant doesn't want to take the loss from chicken they didn't sell the day before but it's not fair to consumers.

Their Cole slaw tasted and smelled very foul, and their salad is not fresh as lettuce were old. After eating it I did not feel well I figured there was something wrong with their food. I will not order my food at this place again.

First I had to wait an extra five minutes for my meal and I didn’t mind so after being directed to a designated area my meal was brought to me, I was in a hurry so unfortunately I didn’t check the bag. When I got home my salsa was spilled all over the inside and there was no salad dressing for my two salads. I wanted to call them to bring it to the attention of the manager but no one answered the phone either.

I have been coming here at least once a week and mostly they've been great. All that changed today as I went to drive through, placed 3 orders and presented a coupon and paid $19. I also had a free Pollo Bowl reward on my new app. I was denied saying I can only use one option. I wasn't even able to separate my order. I had them take out my Pollo Bowl reward. The manager came start shaking his head in a very disrespectful manner hollering OMG!. I couldn't believe what was happening, they treated me as if I was homeless asking for free food or something. I was rushed away in total humiliation and didn't even get my reward back on my APP. Unbelievable experience. Shame on that manager.

Ordered food from them through doordash and was not given the correct amount of salsas. I requested 6 and was only given 3. If i could pay to ensure they will put all i request, i would. However, theyre of no charge but was clearly requested in their menu options when i placed my mobile order. I love their food so much, but without their salsa, it is bland and pointless.. the whole reason I eat their food is to slather it in their salsa! I don’t usually write reviews. I usually let stuff go. This place constantly gets my order wrong. Also, for a place that is called el pollo, can you not skimp out on chicken? I can’t tell what has more chicken the double chicken bowl or the regular bowl. Literally makes no sense I’ve been going here for so many years but I’m done.

Undercooked chicken. I’ve noticed the last two days I visited in a row a char on the outside of the chicken and it was pink inside. (Heats is too high, not enough cook time on chicken) I noticed this two days in a row, tried to bring it to the teams attention, but I brought up a huge uncut tomato as well, not to mention I had pieces of macaroni as well inside my double chicken bowl. Worst salad ever! The lettuce was wilted and black on the edges and the chicken was very dried out. On top of that I was charged a different price than what was posted on the menu board. The employees were actually running in the kitchen which made me think management must be cracking a hard whip. Overall an unpleasant experience and I hope I don’t get sick from the food.

Ordered a combo with Sprite, I found black particles at the bottom of the cup after drinking from it. Ended up feeling nauseous and sick to my stomach. Completely unacceptable and very concerning for a food establishment. P.s. It wasn't even sprite, it was just carbonated water. Maybe the sprite fountain dispenser is broken.

Other people were mad that they had to wait 20-30 minutes today. Well, I stood there in the lobby for an hour to get my food! Ordered it online at 1pm and received it at 2:08pm When I brought the food back, it was missing two sides and one sauce.

Every single time I order from this store I always ended with an incomplete order. 1st time I ordered through DoorDash they stole my complete order. Second time I ordered throughout the app and even like that I am missing the dressing on my salad, the gravy for my mashed potatoes and not sauces at all. Really disappointed.
