We have been coming to see Beno and his crew for at least 20 years. Some of our favorites are pasta arrabbiata and the calzone. Pizza is also amazing. He’s added a great covered (and air conditioned) patio space which is great for groups. His team in the kitchen is A++.

My family has been coming here for over 15 years. This is a wonderful, Authenticity Italian and comfort food atmosphere. It’s been wonderful to see this place flourish and bloom into a wonderful place. Wood fire oven and quality wines and beverages. The owner is so sweet. You get quality and fresh ingredients and hot fresh pizza. The crust is the perfect crunch and the cheese fresh. I adore this place. Will forever recommend this to anyone needing a great local pizza spot in Irving. 10/10 always and forever. Service is quick and genuine. Love it here.

I’ve been a loyal patron of New York Pizza Pasta & Subs since 2018, and it’s always been my go-to spot for authentic New York-style pizza in the DFW area. After moving to Austin, I hadn’t visited in two years, but I recently returned and was delighted to find that the quality and flavors remain top-notch. Over the years, I’ve tried various menu items, including the stuffed pizza, regular cheese, Margherita, and several pasta dishes. The stuffed pizza is a personal favorite—rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. The Margherita pizza, with its fresh basil and mozzarella, offers a delightful balance of simplicity and taste. Their pasta dishes are consistently well-prepared, with generous portions and robust sauces. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, featuring warm lighting and comfortable seating. It’s a great place for both casual lunches and relaxed dinners. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. One of the highlights of my recent visit was the consistency in food quality. It’s reassuring to see that, despite the passage of time, the restaurant maintains its commitment to delivering delicious meals. Had a wonderful experience, from the beginning the owner greeted and sat us. The atmosphere is great, staff is very well trained and they show awesome team work ., owner included.. food was amazing , we had the pizza, spaghetti and calamari.... prices are very accessible as well. Will definitely come back . !!

If you are ordering takeout during the weekends (friday/saturday/sunday), prepared BE PREPARED to wait up to an additional 20 minutes to whatever time you’re told at the time of ordering. It’s a madhouse in the restaurant with every seat filled with the bottom, God bless them. They’re doing great work, but you might have to wait a little bit and that’s OK because it’s good food. The owner is swarming around, making sure everybody’s having a good time. The staff is friendly and quick. I only ordered a 12’ margarita pizza to go. I’d like to come back and try other menu options in store one day. For now 5 stars the pizza was delicious and tangy which I like I’m from my Marg.

This place is amazing. Never crowded. Nice ambiance. All the food is to die for with huge portions. But their pasta really is on another level. Really reminds me of those east coast Italian joints in New York and Boston in the Italian American neighborhoods. They even have some traditional Italian sodas like Jupi.

This is such a special place! They have the best pizza and the best staff. I have been eating here for 20 years! If you are looking for the best Italian food, look no further. The owner is awesome and has owned this little gem for over 20 years!

I go to this restaurant at least once a week. I love to get two slices of cheese pizza and a salad. I also like the warm salad 😋 it is soooo good. Give it a try ! The staff is so kind and welcoming. My order has never been wrong. I suggest everyone come and try one of the tasty items on their menu. You can thank me later !

Incredible Italian food! I don’t understand how places like this aren’t slammed every day for lunch. 10x the quality of food as all the local fast food places and the prices are realistically about the same. I’ve ate her for lunch every time I’m in this area of town and I’ve never been disappointed. The lasagna and ravioli are both outstanding. If you want Italian, skip Olive Garden and come here. All the employees and the owner deserve praise for offering fantastic food at an unbeatable value.

iSee A Better You

Well let me just say this is my second visit. My first visit was 15 minutes before closing and I ordered the same dish. I will only say I was terribly disappointed as it was a take-home dish. Underneath the beauty of the eggplant was a over cooked over fried and old slice of eggplant Parmesan. But let me tell you. Today they have been redeemed! The eggplant was beautifully deep-fried individually. You could see the herbs in the batter crust. Every bite had a crunch. It was not overcooked. Since sliced eggplant to perfection. Oh I may not have to leave the neighborhood ever again for great eggplant Parmesan! I am very very happy. Stop by bring the family and your friends it’s a bar too :-)

Absolutely Amazing! We order from New York Pizza Pasta & Subs about once a month mainly for pizza but maybe every third order we get Chicken Parmesan, Eggplant Parmesan & the Lobster Ravioli and we are never disappointed. Every order we place is ready fast and still super hot when we get it home. The fresh ingredients are the best part. If anyone wants to eat here but aren't sure yet I highly recommend you just go and trybit out for yourself. Again, it's absolutely amazing. There's no other single word I can use to describe their food. Go Now. Eat. Love Them Forever!

Tried this place twice and service is great as well as prompt - no issues there. Their pastas are amazing, I typically prefer home cooked pastas but this place kills it. Specially their Penne with Vodka Sauce just add chicken and it’s a WRAP! Best restaurant pasta I ever had or liked Both times I tried their non-custom pizza small and large. Both times were underwhelming especially my second visit. It seems their crust is more on the thinner side now and a little more doughy in the center which I don’t prefer. The pizza sauce is there but I can’t taste it so it just tastes like cheesy doughy bread. Unfortunately, I’d recommend dominoes pizza over this pizza BUT their pasta is EXCELLENT

Ordered online for carry out. Ordering was easy and straight forward and the food was ready when I arrived. Have eaten here before but its been awhile and don't remember being disappointed. This was a disappointment. The artichoke salad had none of the additions ordered, the shrimp scampi was simply bland, and the garlic toast was unappetizing. A few words about portion size: a child's order of pasta with marinera over-filled a 6" pie pan; they weren't stingy with the shrimp, flavorless as it was, but there was just too much angel hair. There's an assumption that more is better, but I'd happily pay the same price for a dish half this size if it had decent flavor. Maybe stick with the pizza here.

I walked in and placed an order this evening. I asked for a large pepperoni pizza, Alfredo, and an order of calamari. I received a half cheese half pepperoni, the Alfredo was bland, and my calamari was over cooked and extremely tough sadly. The garlic bread and marinara I received were so yummy. The pizza was good as well, just not what I ordered specifically but I wasn’t complaining! The man at the register was kind and the restaurant itself was nice! Just hope my food experience will be better next time.

Pickup on a Friday night 7 pm. About 5 tables in the restaurant. I ordered an Alfredo pizza with onions and bacon, a salad with ranch and chocolate cake. Pizza dough was so chewy, my jaw was tired of chewing after once piece. We each had one piece and threw the pizza away. Chocolate cake was super dry. To accommodate, they make sure half the cake is icing. The best thing I had all night was the ranch on my house salad. We will take our pizza business elsewhere. There are too many places to pay this much and throw almost all of it away.
