The best customer service! So my order got delivered to wrong address today by vendor the restaurant used. I reported it and the manager, Deborah, came out and delivered it herself. She even threw in a few extras for my trouble. I highly recommend a restaurant that not only has great food but excellent customer service even when correcting an issue! Thanks Deborah! :)

The food was on point; the atmosphere was peaceful and pleasant. The manager, Ms. Debra Loving, was so nice and kind; she was very welcoming. This was me and my mom's first time there, and it was worth it. Also, the male manager was nice as well. Now the GM wasn't very friendly. I didn't know who she was but I asked one of the waiters and that told me. For her to have that position she's very rude and unfriendly and unprofessional. When walking in the restaurant she was rude!!!! I spoke to her and she looked at me and didn't speak back and rolled her eyes at me. She has a very ugly disposition.

We came in the other night me and my fiancé & had sat outside; Every time we come in, I’m always blown away by the service — especially from Shamar. They’re honestly one of the best servers I’ve ever had anywhere. From the moment you sit down, they make you feel welcomed and taken care of like a VIP. What really stands out is how consistent they are — every visit, they go above and beyond and somehow still manage to surprise me with how good they are at what they do. Whether it’s remembering my usual order, checking in at the perfect times, or just having such a genuine, upbeat attitude, it makes the whole experience that much better. From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly attentive—always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, without ever being intrusive. My wife and I are in town from Kansas City and this location was recommended to us by the front desk of the Hampton Inn. Now I can highly recommend it as well! We were very happy with everything. I know that sounds funny to some, "everything..." Yes! From the greetings walking through the door, the top notch table service, the food and the management. The food was prepared perfectly. The presentation of the food looked as if it was taken off popular magazine cover. And the taste? Full off flavor in every bite. The owners and management checking in and making us feel really comfortable and wanted. Just fantastic! Check it out if you have a chance. You won't regret it!

My Family and I were on vacation and landed back in Dallas around 8pm. We chose to go to Mi Cocina for dinner. The staff was very accommodating, professional and polite. Our server brought our food out prompt. Everything was delicious! The food was hot and well prepared. We hadn’t been to this Mi Cocina location in several years and we will definitely be back! Also Deb greeted us and came periodically to check on our family to make sure we were getting excellent service. I very much enjoyed my visit to Mi Cocina with my family this past weekend. Although I can’t remember our server’s name, he was super polite and was very good with service. Our food came out so fast and was very delicious. My family and I loved the ambiance, the service, the good food, and most definitely the prices! We will have to come back soon to try more of the food on the menu but it is safe to say that we are not disappointed at all.

One of Mi Cocina—Las Colinas's best dishes is the Redfish Tacos. Bright, fresh, and cozy, they provide balance and elegance. These are definitely worth getting if you're craving seafood tacos rather than the typical fish or shrimp options. During my recent visit to Mi Cocina in Las Colinas, I had the pleasure of being served by Mar, and I can honestly say that they made the entire dining experience exceptional.

My husband and I tried Mi Cocina Irving for the first time and had a great experience! The guacamole, salsa and queso blanco were fresh and flavorful and the chips were given warm. The creamy poblano chicken enchiladas were a hit but the vegetarian quesadillas were not as flavorful. Overall, a wonderful, quick, attentive staff and experience! We would go back for their fresh chips/salsa/guac!

Exquisite food, but... Almost 21% compulsory service? A detail that tarnishes the experience. I love this place, I go frequently because the food is rich and the place with an air, elegant, quiet, cozy atmosphere, impeccable and perfect to disconnect. Delicious dishes justifying repeating the visit. The Not So Good: - Unpopular collection policy: If you go in a group (5+ people), add **% of compulsory service to the ticket without the option to omit it. Some customers consider it abusive: "You pay almost an extra room, even if the service does not stand out.". Useful tip: Notice when you arrive that each one will pay their plate separately to avoid surcharge. The real problem: The measure, although common in some restaurants, is perceived as a hidden trap. It discourages holding events or going with numerous friends: "It is uncomfortable to explain that the final price is not the one you see on the menu.". Final reflection: A place that could be (5) in its category, but risks its reputation with a policy that many call "anti-client.". Would it not be better to encourage voluntary tips with exceptional service? Or suggest them, not include them in the account, that is what really bothered. The idea is not that many groups and people go together, that is, the more dishes they sell the better profits, right?

What a lovely restaurant! Treated a dear friend to dinner and figured this would be a great spot. We visited on a Tuesday evening around 6 pm. It wasn't too busy or too slow. Our server Andy was cordial and attentive. He recognized we needed time to catch up and allowed us time to do so. I highly recommend the Tacos "De Brisket". These brisket tacos are well seasoned and tasty. The accompanying rice is also a perfect side. And the chips and salsa are quite fresh. I ended my dinner with the flan and it's good. Don't miss out on that.

I recently visited Mi Cocina in Irving for a Sunday lunch with friends. I decided to try the Ernie’s Chicken which came with two chicken breasts, a side of rice, guacamole, and sour cream. The food was enjoyable; the chicken was tender and flavorful while the rice and accompanying condiments were a delightful combination. However, the quality didn't necessarily warrant the price tag of $18.95 for the dish. I've experienced similar dishes in other establishments for around $13, and unfortunately, this didn't outshine those. Despite the discrepancy in price, the service was commendable. The staff were attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. I do believe Mi Cocina warrants a solid 4 out of 5 stars. While the price point was a drawback for me, the quality of the food and service, coupled with the ambiance, made it a worthwhile visit. In the future, I hope to revisit Mi Cocina and try other items on their menu. If the food is just as good, and the pricing more justified, I wouldn't hesitate to bump up my rating to a 5-star review. Until then, I encourage others to give Mi Cocina a try and form their own judgments. The food and service are definitely worth experiencing, even if the pricing is a bit steep.

I called to ask about a reservation for my birthday this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The hostess said I needed to speak with the manager. When I spoke with Debra, she was very unfriendly and seemed bothered by the call. She cut me off mid-sentence and stated evenings were too busy and that it would have to be before 5, then changed it to “around 3”. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially for a simple inquiry about a special occasion. Due to the poor customer service, I decided to look for another restaurant. Very disappointed.
