The food here is fresh and service is outstanding. We had tuna tartare to start. Delicious and fresh. We then ordered lobster tacos and fresh roasted in parchment paper. Both meals were delicious.

Was offered specials by Augustine and decided to try as our usual place was closed. This was karma, good karma as this place was very clean and modern with air conditioning nice ambience. Portions weren't big but just enough. Very good quality and great toast we had breakfast. My wife waffles and myself STD American style. Eggs, home fries... Real... Seasoned... Home fries... Sausages. Coffee decent but great but ok. Wife's tea just ok. But overall great service and meal. Recommend will be back tomorrow.

This was our first time to the island, and my first time in Mexico. The quality of food and level of service from Alejandro exceeded all of our expectations. The flank steak and chicken tacos are a thing of beauty. We were pleasantly surprised with the strawberry ginger margarita - a combination we would have never tried otherwise and absolutely loved. We also quite enjoyed the cucumber Jalapeno and watermelon Jalapeno margaritas (if you are sensitive to spice maybe ask for it less spicy). We are already looking forward to our next vacation so we can come back to what is now our favorite Mexican restaurant.

We ate breakfast here and it was INCREDIBLE. We had the honey fresh mixed juice, chorizo omelette, and honey ricotta pancakes. Presentation was gorgeous and tasted amazing. This restaurant is in a very touristy area of Isla mujeres and the prices are much more reasonable compared the restaurants around it.

We were in Isla Mujeres Feb 16 – 21, 2026 and ate almost every meal at this restaurant!!! This says a lot as my wife is a big foodie and wants to try all the different places, but the food and service here was so good she couldn't break away to another establishment. We had several breakfast here and always shared the Rusticco omlette. At lunch we started with quacamole and shared either the fish or shrimp tacos, all out of this world good! We had dinner one night and shared the stuffed grouper with lobster sauce over risotto and it was one of the best meals we ever had. Alejandro, Nati, and Mau always went above and beyond with making us feel welcome. There were several others who made us feel welcome.

Un lugar pequeño con gran corazón. La atención de nuestra mesera Cony fue excepcional, hizo que la experiencia fuera aún más especial. El bartender preparó martinis espectaculares y el ambiente es acogedor (¡con aire acondicionado!). Probamos calamares fritos deliciosos y suaves, costillas de res que literalmente se deshacían del hueso y unos tortellinis rellenos de langosta con bisque que estaban increíbles. Una joya escondida en la isla que vale muchísimo la pena.

Alejandro was a great server. Really made our experience extraordinary. The other servers, Franco and Toto also made our experience very fun and special. The food was equally great. The shrimp burrito had a good crisp on the shell that went very well with the rest of the ingredients. Once Alejandro found out we were there as part of our honeymoon he brought us a very special piece of cake!...which was also delicious. The ambience of the restaurant set a great environment for my wife and I's special night.

REALLY GOOD FOOD! We walked down the alleyway looking at menus of 6 different restaurants before making a smart decision on where we wanted to spend our anniversary dinner. We decided on this restaurant after a couple of gentlemen sitting outside having dinner told us what they were having and what they recommended. Our waitress was Coni, who was very attentive & sweet. I had the softshell crab tacos, my husband had the stuffed grouper, and we shared the tuna tostadas for an appetizer. Everything was delicious!

The soft shell crab tacos were to die for! And the margs were seriously some of the best margs on the island. I tried the lychee and the rosemary ones. Alejandro’s warm and friendly service was really a cherry on top. Highly recommend!

I looked for recommendations on TripAdvisor, and the restaurant appeared as number 1. I decided to try it, and it was impeccable. The service from the waitress was excellent—very friendly and helpful. All the dishes we chose were perfect, with a special highlight for the stuffed shrimp with banana purée. The desserts were DIVINE! Everything was wonderful. Very unique! We will definitely return!

Truly some of the best dinner dining experiences on the island. However: remember as you travel the world, it's always best to eat "local". I ate mussels there 2 weeks ago and was sick for 4 days!

We came to this after having read the reviews. The server was polite when taking our order and getting our drinks. We waited a long period of time to get our appetizers ( At first arrival the place was pretty full but by the time we got the appetizers the restaurant was half full) The food was good and was not asked how everything was, no problem but had another long wait to get our entrees. Again the food was great but our server did nothing. Maybe she was new but someone should show her how to serve. In the end it was good atmosphere and food but you’re going to have a long wait for food.

Arrived at Rusticco very excited after reading all of the reviews. Our waiter was wonderful, attentive and kind - We were informed the fryer wasn’t working upon arriving… bit of a downfall, but we persevered (though our burger wasn’t compensated for fries price or otherwise), we got lobster tacos, ribeye tacos, skirt tacos, and the stuffed grouper. All delicious - I swapped one of my tacos with my husband… immediately after dinner my stomach was upset. That night my husband experienced food poisoning from his lobster tacos… the bill was insane for the experience we had and it’s not somewhere we would recommend or visit again.
