Stopped in for breakfast and it was amazing. Ordered the award winning blood Mary that is literally a meal in a glass. Started with donut holes - apple cinnamon sauce is to die for. Hubs ordered the pancake tacos and I did the avocado toast. Food came out fast and very tasty. Sherry our waitress was great. Can’t beat the view either!
Other than convincing the hostess to seat us where we wanted, this place deserves the excellent rating I'm giving it. The service was very good. We enjoyed a great view from the deck. The meal was superb. We ordered the Lemongrass Ribs and the Lobster Mac n Cheese. Both were worth returning for. Our beverages were the Mango Margarita and the Sailfish. I highly recommend this place.
We loved our food and had fantastic service! I had the whole snapper and stone crab. My wife had the mahi tacos, son had the lobster and MIL enjoyed her shrimp quesadilla. Fun little walk through the grounds offers little shops to browse and some really great chaotic Americana atmosphere. Delicious! Thank you team
What a gem. After feeding the tarpon, we discovered this restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere was so good! The Lobster and Mac & Cheese was recommended and while I am not a mac and cheese kind of person, we decided to try it. It did not disappoint! You actually get a lobster tail so this is a fancy yet fun food to have. The server John E was SO GOOD! He was such a nice person and he made our evening. Attentive and down right fun. The only thing I was not too happy about was the pesky mosquitos. I have bug bites galore, but that is MY fault for not putting on bug lotion or spray in the Florida outdoors. In my line of work, service is #1 - or at least it should be. John E was a GREAT example of someone who provided great customer service. This was such a fun get away from Ocala and I had a blast here.
Neat stop. Lots of little shops. The food was really amazing. You get a decent portion. The goats cheese, bacon and raspberry jelly sliders are great! Views of the ocean and bridge. WE HAD A GREAT service which is hard to come by. Also had a device that was delicious.
Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed every bite of my sandwich. The views, the food and the service were fantastic. This place looks like a fun place in the evening. Wish we had time to stay around for dinner.
I was unsure if I would find a gluten free meal but Johnny was so helpful & ensured I knew what I could choose. I had grilled mahi mahi tacos on corn tacos. It was very good.
Very cool vibe! Beautiful view. Got to feed the tarpons!! Had the shrimp and coconut shrimp and it was mediocre. Bit overpriced but island prices I guess. But I might recommend the happy hour boiled shrimp. Great value and tasty.
Jana was personable and attentive and we loved our extra breakfast guest! The donut pancake was exceptional
Great versatile menu and food. Able to offer lots of gluten free options and vegetarian/pescatarian options too. Good flavor and service. Staff was kind and guided us to a cooler spot.
Breakfast at Robbie’s in Islamorada was a perfect Keys experience — waterfront views, hearty food, and warm service. I had eggs, home fries, sausage, and toast cooked exactly right, while my companion’s blueberry pancakes were fluffy and delicious — easily “the best in the Keys.” Fresh fruit on the side added a tropical touch. Our server, Jana, was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed with coffee refills and extras. Between the food, the setting, and her service, breakfast at Robbie’s is an easy 10/10.
Got in quickly, food and set up was great. They have a variety of seating to choose from. Our server Natalie was great, she was super friendly and gave great recommendations for food and local advise.
Top of the line Conch Fritters. Mahi and Grouper sandwiches were fantastic. Key Lime Martini is very refreshing (according to my wife). Great service from bartender John E (last stop) and waiter Adley ( this stop). Strongly reommend the experience if you are in the Keys!
This was the first stop of the day on our way to Key West. Wanted to find a place for a great breakfast with a view of the sunrise and Robbie's Hungry Tarpon did not disappoint! We sat on the deck and watched the sun break the horizon behind the island and watched several boats head out for their catch. The sounds of nature with the on-the-water gorgeous views... the birds and fish - it was a perfect morning! Now on to the meal - I ordered the Glazed Donut French Toast with the cheddar scallion hash browns and it was not only unique but superbly delicious! I love French toast AND donuts but together as one? Fantabulous! And the fun spin on a traditional potato dish? Delish! It was so good I can't wait to go back to have the very same thing! Don't pass on the opportunity to feed the tarpon after your delicious meal. That is an absolute blast and an experience you don't know you need to have! When we came they had just opened and we were seated and served immediately. The atmosphere at sunrise was serene and breathtakingly beautiful. But, Robbie's is a hoppin' place and when we came by much later the lot was full and it was bustlin' with music and all sorts of festivities. Worth returning for a completely different and extremely fun vibe! And did I mention the food was fantastic??!? Highly recommend a stop at this wonderful place!
I went to have lunch today with my mom, husband and son for my mom’s birthday and we had a great time! We got sat pretty quickly and Natalie was very sweet and attentive to us the entire time! She had great recommendations, The coconut shrimp was amazing and my husband enjoyed the chicken sandwich. My mother had a great time and it was a great atmosphere. The manager in the front was also very polite to us and the family :) The service was genuine and it was a great birthday lunch <3 :) thank you!
What's not to like?! Natalie was our friendly server. The food(pancakes w/blueberries, bacon & home fries) was delish. All kinds of birds around plus the huge tarpon. Eating breakfast while looking out at the water...amazing♡
Natalie was our waitress and she was phenomenal. I mean when i say it. She was on point beginning to end. Our order came out in less than 15 mins, drinks in less than 5. I would definitely be back but only if Natalie is my server again. :)
Old Florida Keys gem, tucked inside Robbie’s Marina in Islamorada. We came during the off-season—peaceful, breezy, and no crowds. A quick storm rolled through, but the covered seating kept us relatively dry. I had fish and chips; she had conch chowder and a fried grouper sandwich. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Drinks were spot on—Key Lime Colada for me, Bloody Mary for her. We didn’t feed the tarpon, but watching others do it added to the laid-back vibe. If you’re after real Keys charm without the chaos, this spot delivers.
Absolutely delicious food, took the Blackened Mahi Reuben and shared the Buffalo Tacos and it was incredible.
Dog friendly! Awesome view, food, & service! Sherry was a great server. She even brought our pups water & treats :)
Amazing food! 🤩 We got the BLT, Fish n’ chips, and chicken+bacon wrap. It was so delicious, and honestly the very best meal of our entire trip! It is a MUST for those driving to key west! 🤩 The waiters are very helpful and kind, and one asked about my formula 1 cap that I was wearing, so we had a little chat about the favorite teams 🥹
--2026-01-25 Danny was great. Knowledgeable and friendly.
Natalie was our waitress and man was she awesome! Not only were the drinks always full, she would come over with a big smile. Even accommodated all the sauces I asked for. I never write reviews, in-fact I think this is my first, but well deserved! My mom and I are visiting from VA and we had amazing food! Fast, hot, even with all the bustling going on. Natalie definitely belongs here at the hungry tarpon, full of joy and laughter. Excellent, expedient service, in spite of a full house!
**Now offering beachfront dining** If you’re looking for an unforgettable Florida Keys dining experience, Hungry Tarpon delivers in every way. Located at Robbie’s Marina in Islamorada, this spot is as much about the laid-back island vibe as it is about the food—and it nails both. The setting is unbeatable: rustic, open-air dining right on the water, with panoramic views of the marina and the surrounding mangroves. You can watch boats pull in and out, spot wildlife, and even feed the famous tarpon right off the dock before or after your meal. It’s a perfect blend of old-Keys charm and a fun, tourist-friendly atmosphere. The food is fresh, flavorful, and full of local flair. Highlights include the fish tacos, the shrimp and grits, and the blackened mahi sandwich—all generously portioned and perfectly cooked. Their breakfast is also a sleeper hit, especially the lobster Benedict. For drinks, the Trailer Trash Bloody Mary and the Key Lime Colada are local favorites that pair perfectly with the ocean breeze. Service is friendly and relaxed, just like the Keys should be. It can get busy during peak hours, but the staff keeps things moving with a smile. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual breakfast, a leisurely lunch, or just drinks with a view, Hungry Tarpon hits the mark.
We had a great time dining here with our server Natalie! Not only was she super sweet and attentive, the food was delicious!! Definitely recommend the lobster Mac and cheese and the jambalaya!
Boy are those Tarpons large and hungry ! One can buy a bucket of fish and feed the tarpons! See some sharks ! As well as Pelicans trying to eat the fish ! Restaurants inside and out ! Antique shops ! Several stores with handcrafted items and clothing ! Friendly staff ! Had a large snapper w yellow rice and sparagus! Kids loved it. Right by the water. Can go Kayaking, etc. Food was good! Parking lot gets pretty full! Fun to see place! Quite creative !
You can't get any better, well maybe if it was a tad less windy!! Spicy shrimp tacos...delicious. My Blackened Mahi Reuben was absolutely amazing. Trailer trash. Bloody Mary was so good, worth the 18 bucks! But what really made it special was Natalie. Her attention and service was spot on, excellent and efficient. What a professional! Thanks Nat !
Service was quick and the servers were friendly esp Natalie.. definitely a great stop for food, the open market.. our kids really enjoyed the beachside seating. Natalie was amazing! If you like spicy food.. go for the shrimp pasta it was 10/10 chefs kiss!
Natalie was awesome! We were just cruising through on our way south and were pleasantly surprised with the food quality and service. We enjoyed the mayo sticks and the trailer trash Bloody Mary. We will be back. This place has such killer vibe.
So great! Excellent drinks, especially the Trailer Trash Bloody Mary and the local brews. Food was phenomenal, the Conch Fritters and Blackened Maui Maui Sandwich cone HIGHLY recommended! And awesome service from Natalie, a true pleasure. Highly recommended stop!!
Very much enjoyed our breakfast. I had the lobster scramble and my kiddo had the ginormous cinnamon roll. Our server Natalie was awesome and super attentive even as it started getting busy. When my little needed to use the restroom Natalie came and covered our food so bugs didn’t get on it. Amazing service! Thanks Natalie!
My husband & I visited & enjoyed our experience! I got the lobster nachos, & he got the grouper sandwich, food was fabulous, & the atmosphere & staff were great! This was our second trip visiting & am glad we came back!
Hungry Tarpon is an absolute must when you’re in Islamorada. The food was phenomenal, the service was awesome, and the view was downright beautiful—classic Keys vibes done right. I had the mahi mahi sandwich on herb-buttered toast and it was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and filling. My husband ordered the churrasco steak, my father-in-law had the Robbie’s blended burger, and my brother went with the crunchy grouper sandwich—every single dish was a solid 10/10 with generous portions. I’ll admit the price point is a bit on the higher side, but the quality of the food, the great service, and the overall experience make it worth it. Fantastic spot for a memorable meal in the Keys. 🌴🍽️
It’s a great way to end the day after taking advantage of one of the many water-based activities at Robbie’s. We had the crab cake sandwich and the fish and chips and were both very happy with our meals. An all-around wonderful Keys restaurant that completes the Robbie’s experience.
I went along for the food and history tour by Brad.. it was an exceptional hour.. great facts and food .. Brad was soooo knowledgeable, had a great character and is so passionate about the keys. I learned a lot! Thanks Brad!
After a long day of traveling we stopped in for the first time not expecting much. Spouse got a Mahi Reuben sandwich. I got blackened shrimp with goat cheese salad. Great draft beers. Absolutely DELICIOUS! And all served with a smile by our friendly and awesome server, Chris. Highly recommend!
Henri was our server and he was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed without us even asking! Been coming to Robbie’s for about 10 years and this has been the best service experience to date! The food was delicious as always . Highly recommend sitting on the beach side :)
Went to feed the Tarpon and stayed for lunch. So glad we did! Blackened Shrimp Goat Chz salad with Golden Beets and Candied Pecans was amazing. Triple Tale Blackened sandwich was delicious and the Chicken Quesadilla was great. Enormous too! Our toddler devoured the fries. Our server Jana was so nice and helpful with the little ones. We’ll def be back! All with an amazing view!
We went to Hungry Tarpon and honestly really enjoyed it. The place has a great waterfront view, a relaxed vibe, and it feels very “Florida Keys.” The staff was friendly and the food was good—fresh and nice portions. The best part was walking down to the dock and seeing the huge tarpon fish right there. It’s such a fun and different experience, especially if you’re with family or friends. Definitely a great spot to stop by if you’re in Key Largo. Worth it. Vana, Our server was great, really friendly and attentive.
This place is absolutely amazing! It has the perfect mix of delicious food and beautiful views. The service was super quick and the food itself was fantastic. The grilled mahi was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the mussels were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. After we ate, we took some time to explore the area, which made the experience even better. We grabbed a refreshing coconut to sip on while we walked around the nearby shops—each one cute, unique, and fun to browse through. And of course, we couldn’t leave without feeding the tarpon! It’s such a cool, exciting little adventure and definitely a must-try if you’ve never done it. If you’re ever in the Keys, you really should make a stop here. Between the great food, the views, the fun activities, and the overall vibe, it’s one of those places that leaves you with the best memories.
Enjoyed a late Thanksgiving lunch; a bit pricey but the food was delicious and portion sizes are large. It was fun to sit near the water and watch people feed the tarpons while fighting off the pelicans. Only downside was the bugs (smaller than fleas but biting!) Also enjoyed walking around the shops.
We tried that trailer trash bloody mary, made by the sweetest lady, super quick, you know? The mix was a bit weak, but the stuff on top was awesome, a good snack. Prices are kinda high, though. But the view and the vibe are what make this place worth it.
Nice outdoor seating with great view of the water. Service was good, The food was good. The flies are the biggest issue for us. Not the restaurants fault, but hard to enjoy food when your fighting them off. Key lime pie was ok, not my favorite. But feeding the Tarpon at Robbie’s is cool.
This place was very nice. Beautiful view and good views, great service.
We arrived here after I spent a lil time researching local breakfast spots and reviews. We were all happy with our pick. Great little spot with a down home feel. Several lil shops for souvenirs including the bar and restaurant. Danny did a fantastic job and we had our drinks toot sweet.. took our orders and made some good suggestions. Keep mind 6 people in our party and Danny had our drinks fast took our orders and the food came out fast...it was all fresh and hot however my chicken skillet...well not so much...the chicken was supposed to be blackened. It was the most tasteless chicken ever, certainly NOT Blackened...I could not get enough salt and pepper on it... mainly bc of the stupid grinders...please for the love of God don't make me work for salt and pepper....it took me longer to grind salt and pepper than it did to eat...still no flavor what so ever. Everything was great as reported. Still overall we had a great breakfast and Danny did a great job and we would definitely return.
Absolutely beautiful spot by the water and ships. If you choose to sit by the deck you can watch people feed the tarpon and usually there's some pelicans and other birds nearby. Hate to do this, but I will say the food is on the pricier side and sadly I found to be quite lackluster with exception of the lobster bisque. The drinks are much smaller than establishments with similar price points. I think we went to maybe 25 restaurants in the time we were in this area and this one has the longest wait and slowest service of all of them. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. Certainly they were short-staffed however not busy either.
The fried calamari was chewy, and my burger was ok, but for $22 dollars I expected better. The service was good, though, and the view was pretty. I liked the atmosphere too, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
Definitely not a fan. Hot, dirty, less-than-mediocre food. Don’t even get me started on the service. Wholly incompetent. So slow, not doing their jobs and walking around confused. I don’t write a review this bad unless it’s true. Really don’t waste your money here. Hummus plate just had a bunch of lettuce. Seafood not very fresh. All fried food incredibly oily; fried shrimp is disgusting. I will not be going back ever and don’t suggest that you go.
We made a reservation here on a Monday night for a party of 11. We checked in and was seated quickly. Our table was dirty, the floor was dirty, it smelled horrible. They have you seated by where they feed the tarpon and the dead bait smell is horrid. There were birds flying everywhere and we were worried they would crap on our food. We couldn’t tolerate the atmosphere so we all decided to leave and eat somewhere else. I would not recommend this place for anyone with a weak stomach. Never had the chance to review the service or food because the atmosphere was gross. We sat for 10 minutes and no one came to greet us or anything. Leaving the restaurant I went by the host stand and let them know we could not stand the smell and we were leaving. They didn’t offer a better table or even try to change our minds about leaving. I guess they stay so busy they can afford to lose a party of 11 and not care. Will never go back and definitely won’t recommend them to anyone.
The restaurant has a beautiful location right on the water, with a great attraction next door. It brings great crowds at peak times. Unfortunately the food is really not good. Their fried fish tastes like it was taken out of a grocery store breaded fish sticks section, the tacos had nothing to them but some cabbage, tomatoes and piece of fish that had nothing flavor to it. We are both fish lovers and neither of us could push ourselves to finish the meal. Even the fries were not good. Mind you, the ice tea was lacking flavor too. I tried adding sugar and lemon and nothing saved it. What this needs is a new chef and quickly. On top of that, you will see your waiter when you order and when you hunt them down to pay. Our drinks were not delivered and I finally got them after 15 min, after getting up and asking 3 waiters to get them. Not worth the time. There are many better organized and better meal quality options nearby.
