Excellent. One of those places where time seems to have stood still. The menu is limited but very good, and the prices are absolutely fair. We'll definitely be returning.
We were here on December 21, 2025 (Saturday). We called at 6:00 PM asking for a table for two, and we found a table at 8:45 PM. We were served by the very kind waitress Paola. The location was beautiful, clean, and with attention to detail. The evening had a fixed menu, but we were happy to make several changes to the dishes based on our (quite a few) needs. The food was very high quality, from appetizers to dessert. Highly recommended.
We went for lunch today, a truly excellent experience. Everything was delicious, homemade cooking as God intended. As long as trattorias like this still exist, there's hope!!
First time at Ristorante Favre and we were thrilled! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service excellent, and the dishes were traditional Aosta Valley cuisine prepared with great care. The tongue in salsa verde deserves a special mention, truly extraordinary. An authentic and welcoming place: highly recommended!
I travel a lot for work and try a different trattoria every day, but the quality, quantity, and kindness of what Favre offers is unbeatable!!! I've been several times for the Sunday menu with friends...so many appetizers, first courses, and second courses, truly delicious and made with exceptional ingredients. All served at the table with endless baking dishes full of samples...truly magical and always incredibly good, well done!!!!
If you go by the looks of the place from the road, you would be uninspired to stop at this place. It would be a great loss indeed. This is a superb place to stop to eat. The food is homemade at it shows, extremely tasty and impeccable in all aspects. Decor is rustic, but the tables are elegant without being pretentious... we liked it. The service is outstanding. Not only they accepted us very late close to closing time, but they served us without any rush. Apart from the waitress, both the owner and he chef came by our table to see if we were satisfied with what they had offered... which was delicious and cooked to perfection. We also forgot our credit card and the chef brought it to us, a 30 minute drive away, despite we had told him we would come back later for it. Two plates of home made gnocchi with ragu and a large plate of tagliata beef with potatoes, grilled veg, half a litre of wine, coffee and liquer set us back just 55 Euro. This was by far the best value for money place we ate at in our 10-day stay in Aosta Valley. Very Highly Recommended.
I was alone on a short excursion, so I stumbled upon this low-mountain trattoria during a hike, and I was pleasantly surprised. The owner welcomed me warmly and, even though the place was packed, found me a table right away. All the dishes I ate were superb, especially the charcuterie board, which was exceptional. The apple fritter with lard was a pleasant discovery. The Valdostan-style crepes were excellent, and I don't think I've ever had such a good Valpellinentze soup! The panna cotta with berries was essentially perfect. From appetizer to dessert, it was a truly wonderful experience. The place is very traditional, and you obviously have to enjoy Valdostan cuisine. Not suitable for those on a diet, because I thought I'd just grab a quick first course, but instead I indulged in their delicious dishes and left feeling truly full and satisfied. The staff was fantastic. Luckily, the walk to Nus allowed me to work off at least part of my lunch! I'll definitely be back with friends!
Everything was delicious!!! The appetizers were delicious (apple fritters with lard, tomini cheese with jam, local cured meats, tongue in green sauce, veal with tuna sauce and lentils and cotechino), and the first courses were perfect! Comfortable place and very kind owners. A trattoria from another era, the likes of which are almost impossible to find anymore!! Congratulations! We will definitely be back.

We just left this fantastic restaurant that left us speechless!!! A wonderful welcome, a family-run place of great respect, not to mention the dishes... A culinary marvel. I'll leave you some photos to better understand what I'm talking about. They welcomed us with a smile, they made us smile from the first to the last bite. The prices?? Above honesty. A wonderful platter of cured meats and cheeses, to say the least, excellent, and a sliced steak with polenta and fennel brought hot, or rather boiling hot, on the cast iron. The meat was real butter, the polenta was fantastic and the fennel was the side dish for a second course that gave you the chills. Including water and service charge, just over 30 euros. If you find yourself in these parts, stop by, so you can better understand what I just told you.

Went there during easter. The service was great. They didnt give you a menu, but just said what you can eat. The food was amazing. We had starters, main course and dessert. Everything tasted so good.
Positive experience at Trattoria Favr We went to Trattoria Favr and I must say it was a pleasant surprise! 😊 The waiters were very friendly and helpful, which created a very welcoming atmosphere. The location is beautiful, with a rustic and refined atmosphere. The menu was typical of the area, with dishes we enjoyed. The prices weren't excessive, so it was a good value.
We went for a family lunch.... their friendliness is truly magnificent and the food delicious, service average, perhaps the presence of several inexperienced girls slowed it down a bit but overall good!! We will return to eat Aosta Valley dishes!!

I had lunch at this restaurant today, May 14, 2022. We stopped here by chance, as all the other lunch spots in the area were closed... Since it's May, they're still out of season here... I have to say it was a great experience. As soon as we entered, a friendly and welcoming lady informed us that they didn't have a full menu (since they were open, but it was off-season, so they didn't have everything available due to the very few customers arriving), but only a few dishes (including cold cuts, gnocchi, and little else). I immediately appreciated their honesty in explaining any limitations of the menu, and we sat outside. In total, there were three other customers besides the two of us, so lunch was very quiet with discreet background music. Even though the restaurant is close to the road, it's very comfortable because (at least during this time of year) there's very little traffic. The quality of the cold cuts is very good, while I'd say the first courses are decent. I would have given a three-star rating for the food, but I raised it to four because the owners are nice people who make customers feel at ease, willing to chat, but without being invasive... and in my opinion, these things also factor into the overall rating. Good value for money.
The appetizers are also good quality, but everything else lacks love and passion: the cream-filled crepes gave me the measure... Perhaps the staff is tired; the restaurant is different in terms of pace, hospitality, and product presentation. It needs updating.
