Great food and service. Started off at the bar waiting for our table and bar staff was friendly and drinks were great. Had the Chilean sea bass which was delicious. Crawfish Spinach dip appetizer was also great. Only issue was wait was much longer than estimated but it was a busy night. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

We were staying in Ithaca overnight and looking for a restaurant to have dinner at. We took a walk around the main town and came across Creola Southern Steakhouse. Our server Christopher was great. He was very attentive and professional. We ordered the Brisket burnt ends nacho skillet and the chicken and waffles. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was beautiful. We would definitely come back if we were in town again.

We stopped into Creola for drinks and dessert at the bar and had a fantastic experience. The banana pudding and pecan bread pudding were absolutely amazing. Both were rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Jay, our bartender, was excellent! We found him to be attentive, helpful, and genuinely friendly. He made us feel welcome right away. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a fun theme that ties everything together beautifully. I highly recommend giving this place a chance for anyone looking for a sweet treat and great service!

I had dinner here three times while I was on my trip in Ithaca and all 3 times everything was just perfect. The atmosphere , indoor and outdoor, food and the service! I am so glad the other two places I had called before that had such a long waiting time to make a reservation - as it was Jul 4th - because thanks to this reason I called Creola and the hostess on the phone was such a sweetheart to let me reserve a table with a very short notice! And we never left the place! Our servers the all three nights were amazing (Katherine, Andrew and Christopher) and the girl at the reception , she’s so sweet and with a great sense of humour - can’t recall her name but she had violet hair and a beautiful dress. Can’t sing enough praises for the food , it was absolutely delicious with everything we ordered: the trout , the lamb , the calamari , the super fresh fish and the fabulous dessert. Both my husband and I are Italian born and raised there and actually this has been the best restaurant in the USA where we have been so far and we have lived here for 3 years, travelling to different states. Not only the food is cooked to perfection but the dishes are so innovative and mixing the tradition with innovation but with perfect technique. The hickory coffee crème brûlée was just breathtaking . Even the cocktails were perfect . The espresso, really similar to the authentic Italian coffee . The portions are very generous and the price is so worth it ! The servers are professional and very attentive but also super kind and friendly. We definitely felt like home. Overall, an amazing experience, thanks to all the staff at Creola!

The menu items in the photos include: Tomahawk Pork Belly Chop Barbecue Crispy Bao Buns Cajun Parmesan Truffle Fries Let me start off by saying everything was delicious. The Bao Bun sliders make a perfect entree if you aren't too hungry. The brisket melted in my mouth. It was so tender. The Cajun Truffle Fries were crispy and flavorful - I highly recommend. Despite not having Pork Belly, I tried a piece of the Tomahawk Chop and was surprised how flavorful and tender it was. Kind of fatty on some parts - but again, I've never had it before, so maybe it's supposed to be. Overall, if you're looking for a unique dining experience while in Ithaca, stop into Creola Southern Steakhouse!

My wife and I had dinner at The Creole Steakhouse in Ithaca, and it was, without question, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The Old Fashioned cocktails were perfectly balanced, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes were buttery, velvety, and indulgent. From the first sip to the last bite, everything was exceptional. Our bartender was absolutely amazing…knowledgeable, personable, and truly elevated the experience. Warm atmosphere, attentive service, and flavors that stand out…we’ll absolutely be back.

If you ever find yourself in Ithaca, NY, and you should go because it’s stunningly beautiful. And if you are a steak lover, you must go to Creola Southern Steakhouse. It’s a really beautiful restaurant and the steaks are cooked and seasoned to perfection. My steak at Creola Southern Steakhouse was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a really long time and I eat steaks more than a few times a year. Also, our waiter, Chris, was super friendly and attentive. He was a real gentleman and a pleasure to have as our server. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and about the cuts of meat. He also steered us well with our dessert. The Pecan Pie Bread Pudding was amazing. It really capped off a truly wonderful dinner.

5⭐️ service with Justin 5⭐️ meals Wow, what a great surprise! Growing up in Ithaca a lot of restaurants come and go downtown but I think Creola will be here to stay! Having lived in New Orleans I can attest to the real creole flavor here! All dishes, apps and entrees are large enough to share, packed with flavor and have a little twist ! For example the shrimp and grits (delicious) has the grits fried ! « Clam chowder » ( it’s made similar to a gumbo with shrimp) is great and filling, amazinggg crab cakes, probably some of the best (and perfectly cooked) steak I’ve eaten, as well as the baked beans are a great side. A special shoutout to the regular and lobster Mac and cheese, one of the best ever ! Can’t say enough good things about this place including our fantastic, funny and attentive served Justin! A must try and totally worth the price!

So we were trying to decide between 2 places to celebrate our 26th anniversary and chose here because we can get Italian back home. Anyhow we were very happy we did, from the moment we arrived we were treated so wonderfully. Be it the speedy turnaround on our beverages, or that they checked in with us to see if we had questions and even spaced our servings such that it didn't all get to the table at once but allowed time for each course to settle. Steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were huge, far more than we needed. Only negative was that the place had a very slight musty smell upon first entering, which could be that it's old or that a dehumidifier could be needed. Didn't really take away from the experience though as it wasn't that noticeable after a few minutes. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

This is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at. From the popovers to the Creme brûlée it was flawless. Everything for the price was appropriately seasoned and cooked. The atmosphere was a place you felt welcome but didn’t feel like you couldn’t have fun while having a nice dinner. I’ve lived in Ithaca for 25 years and this establishment deserves the highest honors and the chef should have medals posted proudly for his exceptional talent.

Coming from out of town and was looking for a delicious and unique spot to eat and Creola was the perfect place! The food was delicious, portions were perfect with sides that were shareable! Staff was amazing and honestly the best part of the experience. Our server Justin was extremely kind, tentative and helpful when we had questions about the menu. He took the experience to the next level and we will definitely come back again!

My new favorite place in Ithaca. The NY Strip was perfect. The Blackened Catfish with lemon beurre blanc was like nothing I've ever had. Both were gluten free. The smoky old fashioned was just right after a long day of meetings. I will be back!

Fabulous restaurant. Food is delicious - great flavor - beautiful presentation. Atmosphere is upscale New Orleans - tasteful art and comfortable furnishings. Very friendly service - we had Justin as our server - attentive and personable. My wife and I loved it and highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality Southern fare and fun.

Hard one to rate since the service was great, the wait staff were really nice, fast and friendly. I had the rib eye with mac and cheese. Steak was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy but like others have mentioned, it was a bit salty but for me I liked it. I wasn't wowed by it which would be expected for the price but it was good. Mac and cheese was good nothing special about it. My wife got the mac and cheese with smoked brisket. She was not happy. The brisket was very grizzly and hard to chew. The jalapenos over powered everything and it was dry. Overall it was very pricey without any wow factor and or anything that makes me want to come back again.

Ordered from here a few weeks ago. I saw they have great reviews. For us the food and the portions weren't worth the price. I was disappointed because I see others had great experiences here. Possibly it was an off night. Maybe we'll try it again sometime. Sometimes the experience is better when you dine in the establishment rather than takeout, so maybe that's what I'll try and see if there is a difference.

I ordered a steak medium rare. What I was served looked like it had survived a house fire and then been finished off with an entire container of salt. The outside was charred to a black, brittle crisp; not a sear, not a crust, but full on carbon. The inside? The salt level was beyond reckless; it didn’t enhance anything, it completely obliterated whatever flavor the meat might once have had. One bite was enough to make my mouth hurt as I ran through the entire pitcher of water. Cutting into it felt like hacking through burnt plywood. Chewing it was worse. I’ve had better steaks from gas stations and worse only from freezer. This wasn’t a mistake ... it was negligence. If you’re going to charge restaurant prices, at least learn the difference between medium rare and cremation. Do not order the steak here unless your idea of a good meal is punishment. Honestly, this might be the worst steak I’ve eaten in my entire life. Not to mention the all around terrible atmosphere and a staff with underdeveloped social acuity.
