I have loved their sandwiches (Dolce Special in particular) and baked goods of all varieties in the past. This week we ordered a lemon berry cake from them for my birthday and it is absolutely fabulous (beautiful and delicious)! Thanks so much!

Dolce Delight was truly a delightful experience! The food was delicious, the coffee was great, and the service was very good, as well as quick. It is conveniently located in regards to Ithaca College, and the scene is quiet and homey. I will definitely come back here when in the area again, and I definitely recommend it to others, whether locals or college students.

My husband and I just had the BEST breakfast sandwiches of our lives from here!! I had the Joey on an everything bagel and he had the moose (potatoes on a breakfast sandwich, whaaaat? Yes!). The woman at the counter had no problem putting together a picky eater breakfast for our son and packed up some toast and bacon for us with no problem. There were lots of amazing sweets all over the place and if it wasn't so early in the am we definitely would have gotten something! Can totally see why they are so highly rated!!

Great breakfast sandwiches and coffee. We were itching to try the biscuits, but we must have gotten there too early as the biscuits weren't available. Sad! Our sandwiches were excellent nonetheless and the coffee was hot, fresh and tasty. Six thumbs up!

The Dolce special was SO good. Large biscuit, nice heat. My wife and I went at 10 and ended up skipping lunch altogether. The service was excellent and nice outdoor seating.

The "Dolce Special" is by far the best breakfast sandwich I've had in Ithaca. It's absolutely delicious, the perfect blend of salty with a little sweetness and a tiny hint of chipotle smoky warmth. Try it, you definitely won't be disappointed!

Best kept little secret in town! Dolce has amazing menu options, pastries, quiche, you name it. My personal favorites are the harvest sandwich, quiche is always delish and cherry or chocolate pie 😋

This place is great! From the second I walked in the door I knew this place was gonna be really good! Good vibes, smelled great, and people working there were very friendly. The food is fantastic and so is the owner! (We talked for a bit) All baked goods are sooooooo good! So was the chipotle biscuit! You can see and taste the care in the food quality! Dolce is the best sandwich/pastry shop in town BY A LONGSHOT. The tuna melt and the Odyssey are delicious and their baklava and muffins are incredible. For breakfast, my favorite sandwich ever may be the Dolce Special (chipotle biscuit, egg, cheddar, ham, and hot pepper jelly). I can't recommend this place enough.

Stopped here for lunch while out of town for business. The breakfast sandwich was incredible. Like, I will compare that breakfast sandwich to all future breakfast sandwiches I ever have. Latte was also good. Little pricy but so worth it for a lil treat.

We hired Maria and Dolce Delight to do custom cupcakes for our October 2022 wedding. We had a very specific request for half the order, as we were trying to emulate a Michigan specific cake in ccupcake form. And she absolutely nailed it! We ordered a total of 3 flavors of cupcake, and every single guest raved about how amazing they were. It can be a little difficult to get ahold of someone on the phone, but it is definitely worth any communication frustration.

Dolce is a small cafe with great soups, sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches and desserts. It is quite popular, so noontime can get busy. During warmer weather, there are table outside to enjoy your meal or coffee and a treat!

I've had a bunch of breakfast sandwiches but this place, by far, blows them all away. The taste is outstanding! The store itself is small and the food is popular so plan on a cozy experience in line. They make it all fresh so be ready to wait for your order. We showed up 5 minutes before opening and there was a line waiting to get in. Don't eat here expecting McDonald's prices; you will get what you pay for and it's worth the cost.

I visit here every time I come to Ithaca to see my daughter. The people are extremely friendly, and the selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches is fantastic. The sandwiches aren't your everyday ham and cheese. They use items like feta, turkey sausage, pesto, artichokes, hot pepper jelly, cheddar biscuits, and guacamole to list a few. The place also has coffee,tea and bakery items. It is fairly small inside with only 3 tables inside and 4-5 outside.

Highly recommend! They have gluten free options for bagel or toast. Made to order right on the spot, quick courteous service, nice atmosphere. Privately owned. Also, as far as we could find the only real smoothie place around!

Fantastic breakfast/lunch food (especially the Dolce Special). Maria made our wedding cake a few years ago, and we liked it so much that we ordered it again when we came into town. highly recommended for breakfast and lunch as well as cakes. Recommended to arrive early, as it can get packed in the afternoon.

Definitely a breakfast place worth going to. The smell when you first walk in is amazing and the even if the lines a little long, the move so fast with orders. The coffee in my opinion was better than anything I'd get at Starbucks so much cheaper than Starbucks.

Sooooooo delicious. We come up to Ithaca yearly to camp, and this place will be a must every time now. So many delicious sounding/looking choices to pick from. Delicious coffee too. Kid friendly but the sun will blind you while sitting outside in the morning. It would be nice if they set up a shade or something for the otherwise enjoyable outside seating.

Possibly the best breakfast sandwiches in Ithaca, I highly recommend "The Danby". Every so often I will also treat myself to a fresh muffin and I never regret it. Super friendly staff, even when they have a line out the door. Cute/cozy atmosphere and perfect for my morning commute. This is where the locals go for breakfast/brunch.

Delicious breakfast, very friendly service. We were staying downtown Ithaca and happened to find this location via the internet, and while it was a little out of the way we took the drive over. So glad we did the breakfast sandwiches and pastries we picked up were delicious. Ordering ahead seemed to be the thing to do if you can just for a little bit faster in/out service but overall we really enjoyed our food.

We had breakfast at Dolce Delight. It is awesome! Their breakfast sandwiches and baked goods are delicious and definitely worth driving to Ithaca. We had two types of coffee drinks with our meal, and both were great. Highly recommended and we'll be back!

This is the friendliest, happiest, best breakfast in town! In addition to a cozy setting and incredibly nice staff, the coffee is top notch (try their seasonal blends in a French press!) and their breakfast sandwiches are perfection. I am a vegetarian and had lots of appealing options, but the green monster on an english muffin has my heart.

this place was right across from our hotel, so we walked over for brunch one day. We were NOT disappointed. The breakfast sandwiches were so unique and yummy, the staff were so friendly, and the whole place smelled so good. Wish we found it sooner, I would have came every morning!

The menu was wrong in a bunch of places, and it took 3 attempts to find something described accurately. Could use more seating but food was great. Coffee didn’t wow me.

The servers are very friendly and very helpful here. It has a very pleasant atmosphere and is very well decorated for holidays and just in general. They have a great selection of fancy desserts to compliment their regular fair. I do enjoy eating lunch here and getting a small treat to go. Who am I kidding I almost always eat the treat in house too... Fun to take someone to coffee and a treat or have a small meeting as well.

Delicious and fast service! I always love the Sweet Piggy bagel sandwich or the quiche. They had a cinnamon toast crunch iced coffee that was perfect! I expected it to be too sweet, but it still had a great coffee flavor.

Several great options that are always delicious! Even when these folks are busy the service is so friendly. Always a convenient and enjoyable spot to grab a sandwich or even a quick snack especially if your sweet tooth is bugging you!

Very sweet cafe/ breakfast place. They make a good variety of really good breakfast sandwiches. Some of the options aren't my favorite but no body will love everything. Great local coffee and espresso drinks. Not open every weekday, so check their hours.

I judge a town heavily by its mom-pop bakeries and this is the best one in Ithaca. Tiny but mighty with a true home-baked coziness I've seen in the best of small towns. Delicious coffee, breakfast bagels (gluten free options!!), yummy pastries, pies, cakes and sweets. And so festive this winter with tiny snowmen treats, chocolates and all! So lucky to live near them.

I have long been a fan of Dolce Delight. A wonderful family owned business in Ithaca. The sandwiches, coffee, smoothies and pastries are always excellent. The staff is friendly and hard working. It is a cozy cafe and nice when you can sit outside.

Been here many times and order from them a lot. They have great breakfast sandwiches and baked goods! Service is always good even when they’re busy. However their cafe drinks are always lacking to me. I would go out of my way to go to another cafe for a coffee drink. Their cafe drinks are also a little more expensive then the cafes in Ithaca with very well made drinks.

What truly sets Dolce Delight apart is the love that Maria and her staff pour into everything they do. You can taste it in every yummy bite. This place is special—family-owned and bursting with warmth. I graduated from Ithaca College way back in 2013, and I was absolutely obsessed with Dolce Delight's breakfast sandwiches then. Now, living and working in the NYC area—where breakfast sandwiches abound—I thought I’d seen it all. But this week, while back in Ithaca, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Maria and her incredible team multiple times, and I couldn’t get enough! The bakery area of the restaurant is a feast for the senses, brimming with a large variety of treats from muffins to pastries to fun homemade pop-tarts. The breakfast and lunch options are gourmet, creative, and extensive, making it a true culinary delight. Even during their busiest times, Maria’s team operates like a well-oiled machine, and the option to order on their site in advance makes it even easier to enjoy their delicious offerings. They’ve also added ample outdoor seating, which is wonderful. If I had reason to and lived locally, I’d be first in line to try their catering! In my opinion, this is the best breakfast and lunch spot, not just in Ithaca, but in the entire Finger Lakes region. Dolce Delight is a true gem, and I can’t wait to come back for more!

Dolce made several desserts for our wedding (cookies, cake, cupcakes and baklava) which were incredible!! Their baklava is out of this world! We received so many compliments on how beautiful our dessert table looked and how delicious everything was. Maria was lovely to work with and made everything so easy for us. We would highly recommend Dolce Delight for your next event!!

What to get the birthday girl who doesn’t like cake: Delicious cinnamon rolls! Friendly staff who know how to take care of their patrons. Quality every time. I messed up the lettering, this wasn’t a fault of theirs. The birthday girl loved them! 🥳 ps. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious too!

The atmosphere is beautiful with a warm and kind welcoming. They have an abundance of options. The sandwiches we chose did NOT disappoint and were the best bagels we ever had. We had a lovely espresso drink made by Kiara. What a great way to start the day!

Wow…best everything!!! The dolce special breakfast sandwich is out of this world. Their sandwiches are excellent for packing for a picnic and going to one of the nearby parks. The peanut butter cookie will blow your mind. Best peanut butter cookie ever. Everything we had here was excellent and beyond our expectation. Staff is super friendly.

We haven't even had our breakfast sandwiches yet but I already want to give this place 5 stars. I have celiac disease and we can in to see if they had gluten free options, which they did! They offer gluten free bagels and bread for all their sandwiches, and they toast them in a separate toaster. Plus, they always keep one or two gluten free bakes goods available as well. When we came it was gluten free coffee cake and it was absolutely delicious. The food staff were very friendly as were the coffee staff, who brought our coffees to our table. Will definitely come back! Oh and the food came out very fast!

I’ve gone here twice now, because after drinking their green smoothie once I was hooked. It’s super refreshing on hot days and I highly recommend it. I’ve also ordered their sandwiches, the Dagwood and the Ting (named after a student who worked there), and both were super delicious. I’m lactose intolerant and they always super nice about addressing my requests. Lastly, I ordered the pies to eat with friends and they are so delicious. The decorative crusts are a highlight.

Love stopping here whenever I pass by for a coffee and/or pastry. Their breakfast sandwiches are VERY good. Their coffee options are solid and their pastries are also very good. Small, so I usually get my items to go, but there are a few tables inside. When the weather is nice, there are a couple picnic benches outside, as well. Recommend a stop here!

An absolutely adorable spot to grab a bite and a snack. This is a nice cafe spot with some really good food options. We had the harvest salad and “The Diva” breakfast bagel open-faces sandwich. The harvest salad has spinach, apple slices, dried cranberries, walnuts, and cheddar cheese in it, nice and fresh. The diva is decadence. It had cream cheese, avocado, melted provolone, bacon, and it was topped with pico de gallo. It was everything! We also grabbed a couple little truffles because one kind sounded interesting, the other looked like little footballs. They also have pies and items available for holidays, like Thanksgiving that can be ordered.

Absolutely loved our trip to Dolce Delight! I ordered a Dolce Special but substituted bacon for ham. Everything about the sandwich was phenomenal. The biscuit had crispy caramelized cheese on the outside and was fluffy on the inside, the egg and bacon were perfectly cooked, cheese melty and the pepper jam rounded out one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. My husband had the Joey on an everything bagel and he said it was really good as well. We also got an iced mocha and iced coffee. The mocha was so well balanced: not too sweet with great chocolate flavor. The iced coffee had a great flavor and was not too acidic. So impressed with everything! Also, loved the vibes. You can tell that this is a spot the locals enjoy and frequent and everyone seemed to know each other.

Dolce Special was truly special! We absolutely loved the chipotle biscuit and hot pepper jelly - had a nice kick in it and was very flavorful. Our six daughter had Sweet Piggy - the bagel was very cinnamony and tasted pretty much like a French toast with bagel texture. Definitely recommend everyone to give Dolce Delight a try if you are looking for an alternative to Collegetown Bagel.

Dolce Delight is full of cozy delightful decor, like Christmas villages, Christmas trees, and vintage cards and gift bags. They have homemade pop tarts (were sadly out of stock today when I went around 2pm though), truffles, biscottis, and all flavors of cookies and pies. The raspberry iced latte confused me a bit because I was expecting it to taste more like raspberry but it was almost chocolatey; it was pretty good though.

I’ve visited a few times now and this spot has been officially added to the must visit list when friends are in town. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and they actually listen to your (possibly annoying) modification requests (I like extra crunchy bacon and whenever I order it this way at other places I rarely get it). The treats are also amazing and the employees are super friendly and helpful. They have a fudge brownie that I’m pretty sure is vegan so I was hesitant to try but I’m glad I did at the recommendation of one of the employees, it’s one of my favorites. It’s a lot busier during the school year so it is harder to go when the line is out the door but it is definitely worth it.

Place was slammed over lunch, but service was top notch and food is AMAZING! The dolce special tastes even more flavorful and delicious than it sounded to me and it sounded awesome! What a delicious place, thankful we stopped. The Chipotle biscuits are to die for, perfect amount of sweet and spicy. Definitely gonna need napkins, but soo flavorful!! My wife created her own sandwich on the biscuit and staff was very attentive and helpful even when there was a line of customers. Cookie wasn't as soft/fresh as I hoped when I saw it at the store, but still delicious! Soo good, we'll definitely be back!

Incredible! I’ve had breakfast all across the U.S. and world and the Dolce Delight Special biscuit sandwich is one of the best and most distinctive breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Especially thanks to the decadent and perfectly (yet mildly spicy) Chipotle biscuit that it is served upon. Very popular in Ithaca!

Super cute, quaint space to relax, wind down, and have the best bagels of your life! I frequently make bagels myself but can admit these are even better! As a European with weekly croissant cravings, I can confidently say the croissants here are airy and delicious. Ice coffee could use some improvement but Im usually an espresso drinker so its more to personal prefference

A MUST stop for breakfast or early lunch! I stopped in today and found the friendliest staff and food that was INCREDIBLE! I had the Dolce Special and it was spot on. The flavors with the combined hot pepper jelly on that chipotle cheddar biscuit was spectacular. And for "brunch" appetizer I HIGHLY recommend a homemade strawberry pop tart! You will thank me later.

This cute little cafe was an amazing find in Ithaca! Dulce's breakfast sandwich did not disappoint and the chocolate croissant was amazing too! I'll be back to work my way through the menu! Also, the friendly staff is worth mentioning. They were so nice and friendly. This place is a gem!

Delicious food. I'm taking off a star because every place in Ithaca sells sandwiches, and I'd give it back if the menu added more variety. I don't eat sugar but the pastries and confectionary looked amazing.

Excellent food every time. Coffee is especially good also. I do wish that if I'm eating in I would be given a ceramic cup, not paper. The young staff is usually very good. Seating could be improved, sometimes there is no seats, and the tables are flimsy or wobbly. The young crowd is nice, and it is a good place to meet for a quiet meeting or coffee. Love the baked goods too.

A small little Cafe just on the outside of town with some amazing food. This place was poppin' when I got in, but the line to order moved quick the wait to pick up took a bit more time I waited about 15 minutes, but well worth the wait. If you order a drink it'll be ready before your food, this will give you something to have while you wait not to mention there are some ready to eat quiches, cinnamon rolls and croissants to munch on as well. I got the Diva open faced bagel, it had cream cheese, provolone, bacon, avocado, and Pico on top a little messy to eat but very good. I also got a Chai Latte, I was a little disappointed with. I took a sip and it tasted not like Chai, but like coffee, and then I felt a jittery highly caffinated jolt, it didn't taste bad, but enough to ask the Barista that it was in fact Chai, she said it was and although I said it tasted like coffee, she simply replied it was definitely Chai, but did offer to remake it, I declined. I later determined it must've been a Dirty Chai with a shot of espresso, I don't drink coffee so I wasn't a fan of it. I do enjoy a sweet and spicy Chai; with the tastes of cloves, cinnamon, cardamon, and nutmeg. Overall great food and I'll definitely be back to try some more food and desserts

As long as you are not in a rush this place is amazing for breakfast. My husband and I went at about 11am on a Saturday and the place was elbow to elbow. We were lucky enough to snag a table after about 10 minutes of waiting, it took probably another 10 to get our food. We both ordered different bagel sandwiches and they were both out of this world.

Quaint little café with simple food. It looks like all walks of life frequent this place. It really was a pleasant small town experience. I told my bf it was like where the female lead of a Hallmark movie would be working

Solid place to stop in the area. It's on the way to Ithaca if you're traveling north. I had the Odyssey sandwich which came with pickles and chips. I've stopped her in the past for a hot beverage and a breakfast sandwich. Great staff.

The food they prepare here is good but they are lacking in speed of service and selection. I went in about 30 minutes after opening and waited 30 minutes for two breakfast sandwiches to be prepared. There isn't really anywhere to stand and wait either so you kind of have to awkwardly stand in front of things and be in the way. They also advertise products that don't seem available. They have scones on the menu, and there was one scone for sale (a vegan one, at that) on a weekend morning.

Dolce makes delicious food & really needs to expand. Understandably slammed on a Saturday morning at 1030, it took almost 45 minutes to get 1 breakfast sandwich. It was good, but not great enough for that long of a wait. This isn’t the first experience I’ve had like this. It’s a small space. There are about 15 seats inside, so plan on getting your order to go if the weather isn’t nice. Parking is difficult & you’ll likely have to park along the road.

Food was good for the price range and comparable to a lot of other diners. Bacon was nice crispy, eggs are perfectly cooked, and veggies taste fresh. Sandwiches are very well balanced. However, they need to improve their service and communication. As shown in other reviews, it happens often enough that this restaurant forgetting your order and/or just letting your food sit there until it's cold is an issue. And once they finally get the food to you, they give you a "hurry up and leave" attitude. It's extremely ironic for a place that has a sign that says "Be Nice" that they can't even say something like "Sorry for the wait" or communicate why there's a delay.

Ordered 2 bagel sandwiches online..with just egg and cheese. And the bagel was toasted with TONS of butter, so much that it was greasy all over the paper. Also the bagel was not great quality....in my opinion if you want butter on your bagel it should be an option.

My wife ordered a sandwich to go. People behind her in line got their food around the 25 minute mark. She then asked how much longer it would be for her food and was told another 20 minutes. They clearly forgot her order. She finally got her sandwich after 1 hour of waiting. Never apologized but they gave her some cookies when I’m guessing they realized their mistake.
