The original. Amazing food and atmosphere. The best sangria in Queens. Fast service. Upstairs bathrooms for wheelchairs . Great open space. Super friendly fast service.
Always a hit. Love the green sauce. Chicken is always tasty and delicious!
I went to eat today around 6pm, I was there for literally like 30 minutes for a quick dinner. At the start the server had an attitude about us wanting certain items on the side he had an attitude about it and when I asked for no spice on the ceviche but on the side instead when it arrived it was spicy. I didn’t say anything but instead asked for limes and also asked for bit more of the leche de Tigre . 10 minutes go by and still no limes or leche tigre I asked someone else who quickly got the Limes but for the leche de Tigre the server Edward came by with an attitude “ que quieren” we just said “nothing” to avoid responding with worse attitude. We finished eating and asked for to go containers and the check to a different person. The sever brought the check we paid in cash and honestly left no tip because for shitty service I’m not tipping specially when I wasn’t asking for anything crazy. He then chased us to the door to say tip isn’t included we said yea we know. He then goes 15% tip is mandatory. Which is ridiculous to demand tip on. Service you didn’t provide at all.
Great experience for Mothers Day brunch. Service, food and sangria were delicious and very enjoyable. Everything we had from ceviche mixto and other dishes were 10/10. Highly recommend the sangria, one of the best I’ve ever had. We got the pitcher, good amount and refreshing. This is walk in only, recommend going early ( as soon as they open) for a good table on weekends. Great place over all, good for family events or special occasions. Spacious also, tables are apart. Certainly will be returning soon.
The food is served family style. The fried calamari to me was over cooked, the ceviche could have been served more. Not enough ingredients in the ceviche. We had the $74. Deal which was whole chicken, salad, 1 scoop of yellow rice with beans. We were a group of 6 that scoop of rice was not enough especially for the price they charge also comes with french fries and sausages. So we ordered more rice and beans. The fried yucca was delicious with that green sauce. I had the red sangria but was told the white sangria taste better. The staff were very nice, attentive and quick to serve us.
Pio Pio offers some of the most delicious Peruvian food I've ever had! The quality of everything was exceptional, absolutely incredible, I have nothing bad to say about the food. On the downside, the service is a bit slow due to how busy it gets, and the desserts could be just as outstanding as the main dishes. The prices are a bit high, but it’s definitely worth it for a special treat. Highly recommended for anyone craving amazing Peruvian cuisine!
Looking for the ultimate Peruvian rotisserie chicken experience? Look no further! This spot is a gem for chicken lovers, offering a twist on the classic dish that will exceed your expectations. Even if you're used to having rotisserie chicken at home, the flavor and quality here will blow you away. Personally, I'm not one to usually order chicken when dining out, but I couldn't resist, and wow, it was hands down the best chicken I've ever tasted. And the ceviche micro? Absolutely delightful! Now, onto the service. While the waitstaff presence is abundant, there's room for improvement in their attentiveness. But fear not, the lively atmosphere with live music adds to the fun, although it can get a tad loud if you're seated too close to the band. Pro tip: If you're aiming for a cozy conversation, opt for a table farther away from the music. Just a heads up, this place tends to cater to larger groups, so it's wise to make reservations in advance. Get ready to indulge in fantastic food and vibrant ambiance!
It's my favorite place from now on. First time visited this location today and feeling that they have the best kitchen on earth. Service was exceptional as well, and my biggest thanks go to those who warmed up milk for my coffee without even my asking. 🍨 are incredible! Lomo saltado is number 1 for me personally, but I highly recommend trying everything on the menu. Keep up the great work, guys. We appreciate you!
A great restaurant with a variety of delicious food the cocktails are delightful and the service is friendly. The only thing I didn’t like on my last visit was that the cup was having a horrible smell like they didn’t wash it well that disgusting smell like stinky egg . besides that everything was wonderful
Amazing ambiance & even better food for a really affordable price.. Definitely a date night steal. I went with some of my coworkers and they were extremely accommodating and friendly. There is ample seating but parking is very tricky depending on the time of day you arrive. You might have to park blocks away to avoid meters. Currently the streets are under construction bit the resturant is open for service 3/15/19.

I had the shrimp chaufa rice and the lomo saltado. The food looked good but unfortunately it was too salty for my taste, specially the lomo saltado. The meat was tender, but I was disappointed to see shrimps from a frozen bag in my chaufa rice instead of real size shrimp when I paid $26 just for that rice. I was also shocked that their menu had no drinks listed(alcoholic/non-alcoholic) and the waiter told me that if I wanted an alcoholic drink, I had to just tell him what drink I wanted and the bar tender would make it. That was a first for me. The online menu has the drinks, I don’t understand why they couldn’t print one. Overall, I think if they can reduce the sodium a little bit, it would have been a much better experience.
The food here is excellent – definitely the highlight of the visit. I had half a chicken with tostones and maduros, and everything was flavorful and satisfying. The sauces that come on the side are a nice touch too. The service, however, wasn’t as strong. I ordered a mojito but was brought a margarita instead. Not a huge deal, but details like that matter. Overall, I’d recommend Pio Pio if you’re coming for the food – it’s worth it. Just be prepared that the service can be hit or miss.
This place is probably one of the best if not the best for Peruvian food! I have been coming here for many many years and I’ll say that the food is extremely consistent. We always get the matador which is a lot of food but for the price and what you get from they one order, it’s well worth it! Overall value is amazing. The ambience is nice but I wouldn’t say it’s romantic or intimate! Love this restaurant

The quality and flavor of the chicken sold in restaurants will never be the same as what they sell at PioPipTo-Go! On top of that, when you go to pick up your order, the staff is incredibly rude... not even a simple "good morning" or "good afternoon"... from the cashier who, among other things, gives the wrong change, it's like she's just doing it on purpose, and there's absolutely no customer service. Everything is pretty awful!!. never again!!

the seafood is terrible I don't eat meat i order the sea food I don't know fish was that. hard to chew
I’m new in the area and was told that Pio Pio was a bit pricey, however the food was great. So I tried the steak with French fries, rice and beans and an avocado salad 🥗 the total was approx $54.00 🤦🏻♀️ the beans were an extra charge and the salad was $11.00, I honestly didn’t think the price was bad because my expectations were high. Needless to say I was so disappointed I wanted to throw the food away, however, I paid way to much and was way to hungry lol. For one, they put the rice, French fries and steak in the same plate. The portion of steak was unbelievably small and the French fries were soaked in gravy so they were super soggy. For the price I was expecting everything packed separately. I will never eat here again 🤦🏻♀️ Thanks but no thanks! The steak and rice didn’t taste bad, but it couldn’t enjoy it due to the messy presentation. Count your days Pio Pio 😡 If you want: 1. Very Small Portions 2. Over priced food 3. Messy/Soggy food Eat here ☺️
