The First day of Snow ❄️ fallen down around NYC , we meeting with friends for dinner, this evening a bit busy we waited for the table around 20 mins..but we enjoyed for happy hour cocktail 🍸 then we got the table we ordered a lot of food , but we loved to ordered Papaya Salad with Salty Egg and Yum Woonsen ,Sautee Morning Glory also..the Staffs were so nice ❤️ If everyone looking for Authentic Thai Food around in Queen - Roosvelt try to visit Play Ground . We will Come to eat very soon.☺️🍲

Playground is an outstanding Thai dining experience. Restaurant is cozy, intimate and relaxing. We had a party of eight and were accommodated comfortably. Calamari was fresh and delicious. Barbecued pork with sticky rice was tangy and grilled to perfection. Chicken wings were equally fresh and delicious. My Thai Iced tea I had with my meal was also fresh and delicious. All servers exceptionally kind, patient and helpful. Very highly recommended!

Playground has a special place in my heart. I absolutely love their yummy authentic Thai dishes. I've been there at least a 100 times over the years and they never lose the mark. If you want great authentic Thai food that's also priced well - this is your spot!

Second time here (first time was way back in 2018) and food is still really good. Our party of two had: -Spicy salad with curried rice, preserved pork, red onion, cilantro, scallions, chopped ginger, grilled dried chili, lime juice, fish sauce, chili paste & peanuts -Green Curry w mixed seafood -Kua Kling (sautéed ground pork with lime leaves, red peppers, spicy curry & chili paste) We ordered everything “medium spicy” and food was spicy but not unbearably so. Everything was delicious - full-flavored, pungent with garlic, ginger, chili, fish sauce & citrus, and curry not overly sweet as can often be the case in nyc. Service was quick and cheerful, ambiance is nothing to write home about. Total tab w tax/tip for 3 dishes (only drank water) was $70 (still CASH ONLY!)

My go to food here and what i always recommend: - Salted Egg Papaya Salad - Crispy Calamari - Tom Yum - Moo Sanook - Sauteed Morning Glory - Thai Iced Tea Make sure to specifically remember your order and double check your bill because the servers will sometimes just memorize your order instead of writing and might forget one. Parking is difficult to find since its Queens and close to the train station, a highway, and a neighborhood.

People are friendly and nice 😊. Great place to hang out with friends and family. We come here often with friends. Even though my spice level is zero I still keep coming. ( make sure order less spicy ) - just a little bit complain about is sometimes they put too much MSG. I don’t mind with MSG but when they put over it ruins the taste of foods. That day the papaya salad was can’t even taste any seasoning only MSG !! So we asked for remake it. After that taste better. Oh wait .. almost forgot.. they have happy hour drinks 🍺

Authentic Thai cuisine. Taste exactly like I had it in Thailand. Be cautious with spice level though. My spice tolerance is very high. Even for me, medium spicy makes me tear. This is a small restaurant in Queens, Jackson Height which portrays delicious food. I recommend to try papaya salad with dry shrimp (mild spicy), seafood Tom Yum soup (appropriate amount of seafood in it), Plain Morning Glory (fried watercress w. Garlic). Also try chicken Gizzard which is comparable w. Cold beer.

This is one of my favorite restaurants but the waiter brought me century eggs when I clearly explained I wanted salted eggs and even showed a clear picture of a previous visit here… then when I tried to correct it he didn’t offer any solution or even apologize, it ruined my dinner, I love salted eggs. I will be back because I love this place but that waiter cannot work my table, I will request for someone else if I see him.

Ordered out last week and I liked the food so much I ordered again yesterday and was not very happy with some dishes. The crispy eggnoodles with this gelatinous sauce the consistency was absolutely yucky. The crispy pork appetizer seemed made of low grade pork and too much of bones.The crispy duck salad was good but like 3 pieces of duck. Overall ok food. I will give them another try some day.

When we ordered Beef Pad Kra Pow and Papaya Salad, we found a piece of metal inside the Beef. My boyfriend noticed it in his mouth and immediately spit it out. This was very dangerous and concerning. If he had swallowed it without noticing, it could have resulted in a serious medical emergency. Food safety and hygiene are extremely important for customers. I noticed that this restaurant has received a Grade A rating for two consecutive years, but the space is very small and the restroom is located very close to the kitchen, which raises hygiene concerns. I hope the management will take this seriously and provide proper training to staff to ensure customer safety and cleanliness. I reposted this because my previous review disappeared and is no longer visible to anyone.
