Can't comment on the food, as were just here for drinks on a beautiful afternoon. Rick's is set in/on a beautiful cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea in West End Negril 😍. The place is spotless and the plenty of smiling, helpful staff make this place (looks like new) a real memorable experience. Yes, make no mistake, Rick's is a finely run "goldmine" in my opinion! Yes they souvenir shop quality stuff tees were $27+, etc., and the hamburger and fries(big portion) are $17, but I can see why... The setting is spectacular, even better on a sunny afternoon, especially @sunset 😎 The bar has changed alot since my first visit 15 years ago physically, but the main attraction still remains the cliff diving... You or me can jump/dive off the 35' cliff into a deep inlet beneath; kinda reminiscent of Acapulco cliff daredevils. Todays daredevil at Ricks was Brandon, who put on a fantastic performance several times during our 3 hour stay. Got a couple good pictures of this crazy guy who is well worth a donation to his tip bucket. I couldn't help but think as I drank a few Red Stripes and test tube shots what a great place this would be for a group party 🥳 Bachelor/ette party, (yes they're lifeguards, but know your limitations) big birthday/anniversary, staff reward party +) I haven't forgotten the late afternoon stage show with a DJ, plus MC and of course the sexy lookin dancers. They dance up a storm and can really shake their "bon bons" 🤣 Definitely a great team of performers. In conclusion, Rick's is a very memorable day, one you'll always "hopefully " remember. The setting is gorgeous and the place is well worth the $ when all is said and done... I'll be back 😊
We stopped in a couple drinks and to watch the people jump off the cliff. Loved the atmosphere, bar area, outside seating area, and the great gift shop. Place was clean and well cared for. Fun music and great staff.
An absolute must see if you ever visit Negril. Went on a group trip and this was definitely one of the highlights. The views are a 10/10 and sunset is gorgeous. Bring your suit because you can do a little cliff diving from various heights.
Great way to spend sunset after a day on the beach. Lively atmosphere with great music, fun entertainment all while watching the sun drop under the horizon.
Totally love the vibes, entertainment, food and services. International guests were totally emerge in the atmosphere. Definitely, a must stop in Negril.
Talk about amazing views of the sun setting while enjoying carribean music, food, dancing, drinking, people and cliff diving into the crystal clear water. My family & I stayed in Negril at the Azul resort which is about a 30 min ride away. I look forward to coming back in the near future. I would recommend everyone visit Rick’s Cafe while in Jamaica 🇯🇲
Amazing experience The scenery was unreal Love the vibes Very busy got lucky with getting our food ordered right away and paid right away so we didnt have to wait. Food was amazing me and the wife got Jerk chicken pasta and the Lobster meal 10/10. Thank you to all the employees at Rick's it was real.
Visited Rick's with our catamaran cruise wish we could have stayed longer!! Atmosphere is perfect with high cliffs for jumping & crystal blue water!! We swam from the catamaran to the side of the cliff & used the stairs to get to the bar. Too fun!! ThIs is a must when in Jamaica 🇯🇲 ONE LOVE
It was my first time at Rick's Cafe. The scenic view is breathtaking and relaxing. Watching the sunset is a beautiful sight to behold. They had music going and entertaining the crowd. People were dancing and having a good time. However, this place is not for kids and / or Christians. The food was ok, service wasn't too bad either. Because it is so crowded, it took a little while to be served. We just had to wait a while to be served. This place draws a huge crowd from 12 -10pm. They have plenty of seating area, along with multiple eating areas. They have the famous cliff to jump off into the sea. Unfortunately, I wasn't built for that one. No cliff jumping for me. Of course, my husband loves that type of scene and would love to go back. Overall, it's a little vibes within itself. Watching the sunset and drinking a nice cold beer is not bad at all.
I can now see why Rick’s Café is called the best spot to catch the sunset in Jamaica. The view of the sun dipping into the ocean is breathtaking! 🪂 While many come for the cliff jumping, the live music, and the great vibes, I honestly came just for the sunset, and it did not disappoint. 🌊🎶 🌴 The energy was amazing, the place was lively but still relaxing, and the crowd was full of people from all over the world just soaking it in. I didn’t stay long for the food or drinks, but I’ll definitely be coming back for the full experience next time. ✨ Whether you’re young or just young at heart, Rick’s Café is a must-visit if you’re in Negril. Come for the views, stay for the vibe! 📍 Peace, love, and sunsets, that’s the Rick’s Café way.
It was worth the hype & more. I would definitely return once I have learned how to sw so I can go cliff jumping. From start to finish my experience was awesome & u could see that all around- whether local or international visitors-were having a grand time. I literally went to experience the sunset & I took frame by frame shots. It was definitely the highlight emphasized on the fact that even entertainment was paused to countdown to this main event, prior to this top diver did his thing from the highest point of the cliff for the final dive of the day. The atmosphere was buzzing with fun, entertainment & camaraderie. The food liquor was great. My waitress was very understanding of my dietary restrictions & helped tremendously with my food order. She took excellent care of my friend as well to the pint where when he tipped the entertainment he asked to ascertain that her tip would be separate and different from their tip. The bathroom/changing rooms were clean right throughout our time there till closing time. Even with a lot of people there during the sunset hours, never once did I feel neglected by our server. I wholeheartedly promised her that whenever I return, I will partake in the cliff jumping. I would definitely recommend this world renowned tourist’s spot without hesitation. I finally got the opportunity to strike it off my bucket list & will definitely be returning for more adventure as I navigate the main highlight of cliff jumping.
Never really had the food (Someone in our party had a cheeseburger and said it was really good) but the atmosphere is amazing. We go here for Cliff-Diving!! Whole family loves it!!
Went there with a couple of friends. The last time I was at Rick's Cafe, I had an amazing time. The food and drinks are way more expensive now. I ordered the jerk chicken and pasta with a red stripe beer. I was very disappointed as the jerk chicken were little chunks of chicken mixed up with Alfredo sauce. The pasta was overcooked and too much sauce. The total was $45 USD. But it is a tourist area therefore I guess the price is justified.
This was worth the visit for the entertainment from the lifeguards performing high jumps and the opportunity to jump from different height platforms. The food was expensive here and served Luke warm so wasn't worth it to sit upstairs.
Amazing place to visit. Lively and lots of fun. Great live music! There are cliff diving points both low and high. Life jackets are not provided so jumpers must be proficient at swimming. There is a pool to relax if needed. Food and drinks are okay. Prices are a bit higher as this is a tourist stop. Staff are friendly. Beautiful views especially during sunset. Thanks for a wonderful time!
We stopped for a drink pre sunset within the first week of reopening post hurricane. Definitely touristy and a bit gimmicky, but it was a good time. The drinks were overall reasonably priced for a place like this and were very strong. It was fun to watch the local cliff divers in between the tourists cliff jumping. We didn’t have food here.
Folk rave about this place and when you get here you inderstand why. There are people cliff diving, dining, drinking, relaxing by the pool or watching the entertainment. Its all go. We sat by the sunset photo frame but I think the best place would have been upstairs in the far corner overlooking everything. Well worth the visit, made cheaper if you hire your own taxi rather than a trip.
Breathtaking Views, Fun Vibes — But a Bit Too Touristy This spot definitely delivers when it comes to scenery and entertainment. The cliff diving was amazing to watch — such a thrill! The pool overlooking the ocean is absolutely stunning and makes for a perfect backdrop to just relax and soak it all in. Live entertainment added great energy and made the whole experience feel lively and fun. The food, however, was just average — nothing memorable, and definitely not the highlight. Overall, it was a good time, but the place did feel overly touristy and a bit commercial, which took away some of the authenticity. Worth checking out for the views and atmosphere, but don’t expect a local hidden gem.
We stayed nearby and stopped by for 30 mins and a drink. There’s a stage with music and crowd engagement like dance contests. They serve food and drinks but we’ve only had drinks which were good but $20 each and half ice. No cover charge though. You can see the sunset too. We walked 1/4 mile on the edge of the narrow road with no sidewalks which was pretty dangerous. It’s maybe worth a drink if you’re nearby but I wouldn’t travel far to reach it. We saw 2 parking lots but unclear if there’s a fee.
Dare I say overpriced and overhyped? 🤔I wasn’t impressed to say the least and the “journey” to get here was turbulent. I’d recommend driving vs. the catamaran but it also depends on the vibe you want. Service here tho was lackluster and slow. The food was not worth the price albeit good. I think if you’re going for the music and party vibes and not so much the food and service, you’d have a great time. I was really looking forward to the food more than anything else so I was incredibly disappointed. It is a cultural asset of sorts so it’s worth a visit just know you may be disappointed. The views however are a different story. Very nicely situated with amazing views of the water.. that I really enjoyed.
The food they’re charging is unreasonable, 30-50$ meals when there’s people who would hurt each other for 5$ here. Food wasn’t even that good, even though they’re charging premium Greek Island prices. Ate a meal with my girlfriend, with terrible service , slow waitresses with attitude, bad tasting food, bottled tap water with their packaging, and paid 94$! What a joke, these prices are the prices what you would pay for a niche steakhouse restaurants in more developed parts in the world. Absolutely disappointed, and this place does not deserve the rating it has. If you’re planning to come here, please just come to do cliff jumping, don’t come to eat or anything else. Today it was their “GRAND OPENING” after the hurricane, but it looks like it would’ve been better off for everybody if it’s kept close…. Honestly. Bad service, bad food, but premium prices? Not suggesting this place to other tourists , it is a rip off place and very disappointing. Minimum Jamaican salary is 120$ a WEEK, but these guys will charge you 100$ for food for two people. Like come on man😂. What a tourist trap. Also saw some of their lifeguards doing sexual hand gestures to their genitals, so not a great environment to bring your kids either. Very bad discipline with the staff, very bad tasting food, very scammy prices. Let’s not forget about the fact that they take your food or drinks in your bag in entrance, even though you might be bringing inside for your medication and supplements, because they want to sell your packaged tap water:( Only thing good about this place is that you can jump to the sea and you can take good pictures of the coast, besides that, AVOID!
