Great coffees and variety. Had a question on the delivery and it was handled perfectly.
Great local coffee shop, friendly staff, delicious coffee, clean and comfortable
Excellent espresso-based beverages. High quality beans and roast and it’s great to be able to get this here in town as an alternative to Starbucks and Tim Hortons. I rated the atmosphere 3 stars based on 1. The lighting: I find daylight LED bulbs lack warmth and they’re very popular in businesses today. 2. It sounded like there may have been music playing but it was so soft it could have been coming from elsewhere. This leads to a sort of awkward silence in the place where people trying to converse were whispering and I could still hear their conversation clearly. A little more music would add to the atmosphere and make chatting feel less awkward. I also wish there were open a little later because when I’m ready for my afternoon caffeine boost between 3 and 4, they’re closed. That said, I highly recommend the place for people with a palate for good coffee and espresso. They certainly deliver on that end, and that’s the most important!
Use to love their espresso & lattes but for the last few months it has been tasting very sour. Update: crown street reached out to me and made it right :)
I was staying in one of the nearby hotels when I found this gem. The staff was fantastic at handling the never ending rush of the morning. The sandwiches were much better than the breakfast that the hotel offered.
We enjoyed our beverages here very much. I asked what flavor caffeinated beverage to get, she suggested a pistachio flavor. It was delicious.
I too, have never been here. But, since there is some obnoxious woman asking that people leave a one star review when clearly you have a lot of support from the community (for asking her to stop filming in the middle of your dining area), then I felt the need to come here and counteract that. It looks like I am not the only one but it definitely also is clear that so many people from the community love ya'll! I will definitely be dropping in the next time I am in the area!
The owners came to Chautauqua Institution to teach us how to make drinks. They were professional, kind, outgoing, and taught us well. I could most likely walk in there and make a latte with no problem. Great teachers and let’s just say their coffee is amazing! Thank you so much for a wonderful learning experience today. Sorry that I forgot your names, but I won’t forget your faces or the great experience.
I found this place on Google maps as I just acquired an espresso machine and was searching for local roasters in the area. I've been here twice for beans and food and both are amazing! The coffee beans, when used for espresso, are otherworldly! Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't regret it!
Love this place. I you love tasting coffee flavors from around the world. This is your place. The coffee is CRAZY GOOD!!! The Staff there are all ROCKSTARS!! Such a relaxed atmosphere to just sit and enjoy a great cup of coffee and just chill.
The service is exceptional, with staff members who are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely friendly and attentive. The beautiful silent space provided by the café allows for a serene atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a cup of meticulously crafted coffee or indulging in their delicious pastries. The attention to detail in both the decor and the menu showcases their dedication to excellence. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or simply seeking a peaceful escape, Crown Street Roasting Company delivers on all fronts.
This place is always great and so is the staff. I usually order online and it’s always correct and they always greet me walking in. Inside is super cute, and I love the tables for the outdoors if preferred instead. I love the different themed drinks and food options each month they come up with as well, definitely one of my go to’s!
Crown Street is my go to local coffee shop! They hands down have the best quality coffee and customer service. Also - my favorite local bagels! It’s the perfect environment to catch up with an old friend or put some headphones in and get some work done. When I go out of town and have to get coffee, I constantly wish there were more locations so I wouldn’t have to go anywhere else!! You will NOT be disappointed by supporting this welcoming and refined local business.
This is our favorite go to spot in Jamestown for coffee & some of the best food. I’m a huge fan of their bagels & they really do make the best cortado in town. I moved to Jamestown 1 year ago and was relieved to find such kind people here. The staff always has a smile on their face & even remembers my drink order. (Not a requirement but is so special if you’re a regular, you know the feeling). If you aren’t sure what to get, I really recommend starting with their drip coffee because it is roasted in house 🙌 the Ham Apple Gouda sandwich is my fav too. I rent an office space upstairs and still prefer to work in the cafe most days 🤭🫶.
Stopped here once for 2 lattes are they were alright. Not a very cozy shop, atmosphere-wise. Was thrown off that every drink only gets 2 espresso shots no matter the size. Didn’t try the food so can’t judge other than small menu.
We gave this establishment a second chance when we discovered it was under new ownership and are so glad we did! We pop in for coffee on days we're in the area. We have never had a long wait. They make a great latte, and we've enjoyed several of their drip coffees. They have a number of coffee syrups (I will include a pic of the list). They add cream to your drip coffee on request and have a number of sweeteners available, including honey and raw sugar. They also keep half and half on the bar. If you are a tea drinker, they have an assortment of bagged teas. They do make breakfast bagel sandwiches which look yummy, and soups and salads, but we have never stopped in at a meal time. The chairs are comfortable, and the tables are nicely spaced, so you do not feel like you are being overheard. I appreciate the plants and the light airiness of the shop. Don't forget to pick up a bag of your favorite beans on your way out!
I love supporting a local coffee shop. I have visited Crown Street several times. Just recently I visited with my husband and our daughter. For the 3 of us our bill was $47! We all had a breakfast sandwich, my daughter had a gluten free wrap which I appreciate them offering ( a lot of places don’t), I had a chai tea with oat milk and my husband had an Ethiopian blend coffee. The breakfast wrap was ok. My husband and I enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches. The tea was average and the coffee was bitter. Also they had the air conditioner set to very cold and it was already cold and rainy outside. All together an average experience, but I just can’t get past the price. If I am paying that amount of money at a coffee shop it should be outstanding. I think they can do better.
Let's start with the positives... 1) Local coffee shop that acquires beans in an responsible manner. 2) They roast them as well 3) cafe is very light and bright with free Wi-Fi, lots of seating and beautiful decor. I ordered a pour over Ethiopian bean, hot chocolate, and a lemon poppyseed muffin... Negatives.....1)the hot chocolate came in a medium cup that was only filled halfway! As I took it to go I was not aware until the person who ordered it took the cap off to reheat it. Very disappointing! 2) the lemon poppyseed muffin was stale and dry...It seemed to be days old...I threw it away and stopped at Wegmans to get a muffin (which is why the hot chocolate got cold!) The next comment probably falls into personal preferences... I felt the Ethiopian bean was over roasted...too dark of a roast for such a complex bean...but I tend to prefer the style of Stumptown or places like La Colombe use.... I may give it one more try as I want to suppprt local and my pour over Ethiopian was done correctly which is a big deal...#pourover #localcoffee
I clearly said I was vegan when I ordered the avocado toast. The man at the counter confirmed it came with no cheese, but did not mention it had a bacon. Picked it off but the toast was still burnt.
