Village never disappoints! The food is always phenomenal, the energy is easy-going and happy and the staff is always friendly. I absolutely recommend the Belgian waffle with bananas foster- 12/10 AMAZING!! One of our favorites!

Driving with my family from Toronto to New Jersey and stopped in Binghamton for the night. In the morning, we stopped at Village Diner for breakfast. They have really strong Google reviews so we thought we'd check it out. And omg, are we glad we found this place. Not only do they have the kindest staff, the food will also blow your mind. I had the corned beef hash with eggs over easy. Definitely the best corned beef hash I've ever had. My husband had one of the breakfast specials which was fried chicken with Nashville hot sauce and eggs on top of a waffle. He loved it so much he was raving about it on the drive to New Jersey. If you're looking for a great breakfast place when you're in Binghamton or Johnson City, I highly recommend Village Diner. We have never felt more welcome at a restaurant in our lives. Next time we're in town or or passing through, this is a must stop.

Our first trip to village diner was today. Everything was perfect! Great food, coffee was fresh and delicious, the service and employees were friendly and attentive. It's a touch small but that's the only gripe. We'll be back soon for sure.

The waitresses here are so friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic! THAT chicken sandwich is so big and flavorful, I can't get over it. I order with a side of chipotle ranch that takes it to another level. Love this lil gem of a place.

Off the beaten path but great food. We parked across the street from the restaurant in the Park Parking lot. This is a small dinner, the staff was great, clean restroom, food was hot and delicious when it was brought out and everything was correct as ordered. Our waitress was on point with refills and taking our order. The only down side to the visit was watching the patrons under tip the waitress. Come On People.... That's how these hardworking women make their money!

First time here. Heard lots of good things about the place. All were true. Great, friendly, fast service. Good food , ample portions and reasonable prices. Will go again when have opportunity.

What a great find! We arrived just before 8 am and were seated in the back dining room. We were the only table, but within 15 minutes the place was packed. Our server worked hard and kept up with all 7 tables. Brwakfast was exactly what we were looking for ... Some good southern cooking. Give them a try, doubt you'll be disappointed.

Wonderful place to eat and the atmosphere is wonderful also. The Cooks and waiteresses, and the dishwasher greet us like family. Do come and enjoy the experience ... you won't have regrets

How this place doesn't have more reviews on here is beyond me. No, it's not a fancy frou frou restaurant, no it's not a big open space with tons of room, and doesn't have matching tables and chairs. But what it does have is incredible food, extremely friendly staff, excellent prices, perfect portions and a great "down home" feel that only a little diner can give you. In short, this place is awesome and I can't wait to go back! (despite the 4 hour drive from Canada!) If you want great food, friendly staff, excellent service and you don't care if your table is a 6 foot plastic fold up table, then you will love the Village Diner. Make your first visit for breakfast and try the pumpkin waffles...they rock!!

I got the Carolina BBQ Turkey Melt with Onion Rings. It was different and good. My wife got the That Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. She liked that. Place was clean and staff was friendly.

Quite possibly the best omelette I ever had. I got the Mexican omelette that was on special. It had fresh mushrooms, peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese and came with salsa and sour cream. It also came with a side of home fries and toast. I cannot explain why it was so good, except to say the egg portion was fluffy and so yummy. It was not a quiet atmosphere and was super crowded. That being said, I want another omelette.

The Village Diner is the best place to grab a bite to eat. I've been here multiple times, and everything has been perfect. If you like your classic, American, small town diner, then this is the spot. The portions are the best bang for your buck and the staff are always friendly. No wonder the been here for about a decade. My only gripe is that they could be open more, but the quality makes up for the hours for sure.

We never get to go here because we're closed the same days as you hard working folks... but today we got to stop in (not our first time). Hands down the best Philly Omelette I've ever had!!! The home fries were nice and crispy... the onions fried with it as well. I've always had lunch my other visits, and that was excellent as well, but breakfast has me hooked! See you next Tuesday!!!!!

If you have not been here you are missing out on the best breakfast and service around. This morning was our first time here and we were impressed from the time we walked in. We were greeted with smiles right away and our waitress was very quick to bring menus and take drink orders. She has the best personality and is very efficient at her job. My mom and girlfriend ordered Erik’s bowl which is home fries with sausage gravy, eggs, and cheese = deliciousness! I had the homemade hash and eggs with a cup of grits which was very good. I’m from the south and am picky about grits but these cheese grits were on point! We now will be coming back every Saturday morning for breakfast.

When my boyfriend and I walked in, instantly it felt like we belonged. We had never been here before but people greeted us like we were long lost family. The staff was super friendly and the customers even chatted with us as though we were lifelong friends of theirs. The food was great as well. Cannot wait to go back!

What a hidden gem! Food was delicious and prices were fair. Loved the homemade hash and the glazed donut breakfast sandwich special. Also enjoyed the music choice, great way to start your day!

My husband, son and myself took a chance on this place and were surprisingly extremely happy. Our waitress Nattie was adorable and so super sweet. And the chef (Squirrel, who came over and introduced himself) made all of our dishes perfectly. I had the greek omlet with marble rye, all fresh ingredients, my son had a chocolate chip waffle and my husband had over easy eggs with bacon and sourdough. Oh and the home fries were also very good, although I was surprised by the bacon. The coffee was delicious and the service was fast. I would definitely recommend this place 100%. We are in town visiting my daughter for family weekend, but we will definitely be dining here again, if not this trip definitely in the future.

This restaurant is an absolute hole in the wall. Everything is absolutely delicious. Homemade corn beef hash, fantastic pumpkin pancakes and great coffee. I grew up in Binghamton and moved to Rochester, but always try to stop by when I’m in town. I’ve met a number of people since moving who also rave about this diner! I wish we had one up here!

I have been going here off and on for a few years. They've switched owners but the food is still awesome! Great place for typical breakfast and lunch items as well as specialty omelettes, burgers and daily specials. Service is always super friendly and the food is ready quickly. Would definitely recommend a visit here for some great day time food! The homemade corned beef hash is delicious!

Great place to eat! Friendly, attentive staff, good food, reasonably priced. Plenty of choices on the menu (many breakfast items are available all day). I had homemade hash (very tasty!) and eggs over easy which were picture perfect!! Free refills on the good coffee and waitress came back several times with the pot! Everyone in our party was well satisfied with their food. Busy place which tells me it's a popular spot for the locals. Definitely recommend!

Worth the wait. Great energy vibes

Driving from western NY to LI. We were feeling ready for breakfast, and Google maps said The Village Diner was 2 mi away. What a find! 10:30 AM day before Mother’s Day. Tables were full, so we had to wait a few minutes, but we got to check out the collection of GD and Dead & Co. stickers on the fridge. They accommodated us as quickly as possible, and the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly. We had breakfast sandwiches, home fries, and an omelette. All food was delicious, hot, and fresh. The coffee was robust and refilled quickly. Service and quality were top notch.

You'd drive right by the Village Diner if you didn't already know about it. A step above your typical diner fare. It doesn't hurt that some great classic rock is also always playing.

This is undoubtedly one of the best diners overall! The food is reasonably priced with large portions that are enough to fill you. The ambience resembles an authentic American diner and the management is very friendly, always running around to get you the best service. The peers who hangout here are mostly locals and are very friendly as well to have a good chat. I suggest there Mac n Cheese sandwich. Comes with a load of Mac n Cheese packed between burger buns that are locally sourced, fried on the side. Do try the delicious sweet potato fries as well.

I can't say enough about this place. I love unassuming hole in the wall places and this is a incredible one, that looks tiny, but has a huge extra room for additional seating. Fast, friendly service, everyone greets you on the way in and the way out. We felt like family, even though it was our first time there. All the food is cooked fresh from the corned beef hash to the roasted turkey. The prices were reasonable and we can't wait to go back to try more of their delicious menu items. UNCLE GERRY'S TIP: There is additional parking across the street next to the park.

If you're a connoisseur of diners, this is a place to visit. Good food, excellent service, down to earth atmosphere.

One of, if not the best diner in the area. Everything I've had off of this menu, from breakfast items to burgers, chicken sandwiches and my personal favorite the Ultimate Chicken Philly is terrific. Highly recommend visiting this spot if in the area.

First time eating here. The staff was friendly, the service was great and the food was AWESOME! It was like an old fashioned luncheonette which sadly are not around anymore. Will definitely return.

This may be the best diner I’ve ever visited the staff knows exactly how to work you they treat you very well and definitely earn the tip, the food is absolutely spectacular you can see the cook cooking the food and it all looks fresh and delicious. I will be back and I definitely recommend you check it out. Plus it’s very clean and has a nice old school vibe.

As a lover of authentic corned beef hash, I highly recommend The Village Diner. It was so good I ordered a second "side order" of the hash to complement the 3 egg special. Try the marble rye toast with your breakfast. For travelers, make this a stop if you're driving near Binghamton. Far better than a "road stop" food choice.

Small, local diner with incredible food. We ordered the homemade hash with eggs, a greek omelette and grits with sourdough toast. Everything is homemade, delicious and nothing disappoints. I don't get to come here as often as I'd like. So happy I did this morning. Let's start with the coffee. I typically find coffee at diners weak and more transparent than translucent. Village diner coffee is great!!! Its a really nice, full-body coffee, but still would be enjoyed by most. I got the eggs Benny, a substitute for the Canadian bacon was offered before I even ordered (I prefer regular bacon, but sausage was an option too.) The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, hollandaise was yummy! Home fries came with or without onions and were crispy and super flavorful. I didn't know they made their own hot sauces!!! We were offered a couple to try when we asked for Cholula (which they had as well and happily provided) and when I got excited (I just love a sauce, dip, condiment) our server brought over an entire tub of options for us to try!!! (The jalapeño, Serrano, and Thai were my faves). They are also available to purchase. I love a taste testing. Our coffee cups never went empty, everyone was so warm and kind. The vibe is also fun, with classic and modern rock/alternative playing throughout. Can't wait to come back--They are making breakfast fun here!

Everyone is really nice, great breakfast but this time I tried their fresh ground burger. They have a few different options and specials but I did the basic burger with cheese this time. It really makes all the difference with the care and precision they add to each plate. It’s ground in house and then cooked right away. It is always a solid choice and the burger is one of the best in the area(if not the best)

Great food. The wife and I had a wonderful meal and the best sausage gravy we have ever had. This place is a hidden gem. We were served fast and everything was great and a good price. Staff was very nice and fun to talk to.the only downside is they seem to be more popular than they pland the space to be ,it was a little squeezed together,not terrible but tight.

The kitchen staff are also super kind if you ever talk to them. They offer great breakfast options with a large spreads of homemade hot sauces and a couple homemade bread options. This is definitely a hidden gem that we will return to when we are in the area. The food is exceptional. I wanted an old style quality diner breakfast, but the apple ham and cheese sandwich looked enticing. And it was so good I’m suffering from eating the whole thing If you want chandeliers and musak, you will be dissatisfied; BUT if you want good food and friendly, helpful waitresses then, “Come on down!”

Had lunch, for the first time ever. Got the special, crispy chicken with American cheese, Lettuce, tomato and onion in Texas toast. Wow. Amazing!!! Fries and pickle on the side both great too!! Mom got "Matt's favorite" (grilled chicken with Buffalo sauce) daughter got Philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries and everyone cleared their plates. Definitely will go back!! Also not a wait at all!!

Music is always way too loud. Staff are nice. The last time I went my eggs were gray and inedible. Saw a cockroach on the wall on the way out. Haven’t been back since.

The food was pretty good. The homemade corned beef hash was very good. It's kind of crowded and small though. The biggest problem I had was that it took an extremely long time to get our food (about an hour). Our waitress was very good, however, and the owner comped our food. I suspect I may have hit it at a bad time. I'll return and see if it was just a fluke. If it was, I'll adjust this review accordingly.

I love to help my local restaurant. This was my second time there because it was highly recommended.The food and service was good, but both time l've been there we couldn't even enjoy our meal because your squishing away gnats every five seconds it disgusting. At one point even the waitress was killing them with her rag. Hopefully they fix the problem. Will probably try it one more time.

Too bad that I have to leave 2 stars because the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly, however I was shocked twice in a row with my bill. First time I didn't think about it until after I paid and left but second time I was prepared by adding up beforehand. I expected to pay $27, but it was $42. Their own website is not at all up to date, there is a to go fee, and a credit card fee. None of which is stated on their website or even mentioned when I called. Once this is corrected, I feel this is a bit pricey anyway for what I ordered.

I have always enjoyed the village diner but picked up takeout which was not edible. Homemade hash had raw potatoes corn beef was tough. There was no crisp on it mushy. Home fries if that’s what you want to call them were also undercooked but burnt on the outside potatoes were in chunks that were at least 2 inches across. Awful. Greek omelet was terrible a couple of big chunks of tomato and a piece of spinach I did not taste any feta. All this and huge increase in prices for food that went in garbage. All was greasy as well. If I could have given 0 stars I would have!!!!
