In town for a work conference and tried this place tonight. It was great. Very cute inside, quick service and awesome food. Our server, KeKe, was awesome. She was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about the menu. I had a wagyu burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. You also get 10% off if you’re staying at the holiday in express. Great experience, will definitely return next time.

OH EM GEE! The food was exquisite and the vibe of the whole place just felt right. The Blackened Chicken salad was to die for. Keke, our waitress, was amazing and made us feel like we were at home. Definitely coming back if we are in the area. 10/10

We just happened to take a chance and stop by at Joe's for dinner while passing by. And I should say we were very happy with everything Joe's had to offer. Good food, good atmosphere and David was amazing with the service. Lovely patio sitting with cozy atmosphere all around.

On our way up to the basketball game, decided to stop in and have some dinner, glad we did really nice place spacious and big! The service was really good and plenty of parking! Looks like it would be a great place to watch a Spartan game! Lots of TVs and a real nice huge bar! The place is brand new it looks like, and very modern inside. It was cold when we were there, but it looks like they have a front patio outside, as well as a back patio for the summer and warm weather! ! The food was really good, we had a vegetarian wrap and a buffalo chicken wrap, looks like it’s made with a bunch of real good ingredients!

Friendly server (thanks, Bri!), accommodating manager (thanks, James!) plus really good food made for a nice dinner out. My wife and I split the roasted Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. I don't really like them normally, but this place does something that makes them very flavorful. We also split the roasted fig and bruschetta pizza. The pizzas are 16-inch so we had plenty of leftovers to take home. My wife also said her Dark and Stormy drink tasted good, although it wasn't strong. The atmosphere is kind of odd to describe. It's like a sports bar meets a family restaurant meets an upscale food spot. Prices may seem a little high at first but not unreasonable for the times and the quality of food from a scratch kitchen. We'll be back; I'd be interested in trying some of the other menu items that sounded delicious.

Enjoyed a great meal with our MSU student at Joe’s on Jolly! Shared an assortment of appetizers– Bang-Bang Shrimp, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Korean Beef Street tacos – all were delicious. Pizza was perfect and salads so fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and our server was very attentive. All together made for a wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Great service! Good food. Pizza, not as flavorful as I personally would like and I was able to enhance it when I got home with herbs and additional parmesean, BUT, I absolutely loved the crust as it had perfect texture and flavor. This could easily become a #1 spot for pizza. The bang bang shrimp was great with perfect bang.

A very cute spot. I was sat quickly even though it seemed quite busy (it was just me though). My server was very attentive with great suggestions. I loved the outdoor atmosphere with live music. I had a poke bowl and a couple cocktails, making it a little pricey, but it all tasted good.

Joe's and Jolly is an absolute gem when it comes to atmosphere! Whether you're enjoying the fresh air on the outdoor patio, catching a game on one of the flat-screen TVs indoors, or hanging out in the back room with classic pinball machines and a pool table, there's something for everyone. The menu offers a solid variety of classic American dishes, and it's great to see that both gluten-free and vegetarian options are clearly marked. Our meals were delicious—you can tell real care goes into crafting dishes with thoughtful, well-balanced flavors. My only suggestion would be to include a few more gluten-free options. I appreciated that our server mentioned the fries are battered and not gluten-free, which was helpful. They do offer gluten-free buns for the burgers, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved the atmosphere on a Friday night. The calamari was absolutely phenomenal. I wish the olive burger had a couple more olives but it was a good time regardless.

Idk if something has changed here but pretty disappointed in the most recent visit. Portion sizes were small for the price, and the Buddha bowl ($15 bowl) looked like it had been put together by a three year old. Off night? Perhaps. Just not particularly impressive.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Joe’s On Jolly Joe’s On Jolly has a really nice atmosphere, and I was genuinely excited to try it based on word of mouth. The presentation of the food was impressive, but overall the flavors didn’t quite live up to the expectations. I sampled the giant pretzel, Joe’s chicken wings, and the buttermilk chicken sandwich. The pretzel itself was well-made—soft on the inside with a firm outer shell and good flavor. Unfortunately, the cheese dip missed the mark. It was very thin, lacked viscosity, and didn’t add much flavor. I prefer a cheese dip that clings to the pretzel and enhances each bite, and this one didn’t do that. The chicken wings had a great seasoning blend, but it seemed to be sprinkled on after frying. After the first bite, most of the seasoning was gone, leaving the rest of the wing tasting like plain fried chicken. I tried a few more pieces hoping it was just the first one, but the experience was the same. For my entrée, I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun—usually one of my favorite combinations. The lemon coleslaw added a nice touch, but the chicken itself tasted unseasoned, almost as if it had been fried and then topped with garnish afterward. This seemed to be a recurring theme across the dishes I tried: good components, but not enough seasoning incorporated into the food itself. Joe’s On Jolly has potential, and there are elements they’re doing well. With more attention to seasoning and flavor development, this place could really shine. I hope to see improvements because the atmosphere and presentation set the stage for something great.

First time and last time visit. Was really slow when we stopped to eat. We seen one server busting her butt off and our server was hardly attentive to us. The pizza was not worth what we paid for. The burger was pretty good. Food was served cold, like it had been sitting there before it was brought out. We ended up there a full hour 1/2 that time was waiting on food. There are no prices on the menu and now I know why. Very expensive. 2 Java cakes was $18.00.

So disappointed! Amateur service!! Never asked what we wanted to drink. Then server brought only one drink & forgot lemon. Ordered medium burger & it came back so rare it still had pulse. Sandwich came long before sides. Sides then came before the remade burger. Stone cold by the time our order was ready to be eaten together as ordered. Our drinks were empty, never received refills. Mayo is an up charge. It was DISGUSTINGLY! Absolutely warm. Sat out so long that a jellied skin formed over the top. Our server acted like he could not care less about his service, the accuracy of the food or our experience. Save your money & to ANYWHERE ELSE!

We are locals who have now tried Joe's a handful of times. The very first time was soon after they first opened. My husband went in to order a pizza to go. The restaurant was empty. One of the large handful of hosts/hostesses on hand said that he couldn't order his pizza to go because there wasn't anyone around to put it in a box. Yes. They actually said this. He convinced them to make him a pizza and said he would box it himself. Spoiler: They brought the pizza out to the bar, where he boxed it himself. This was a couple of years ago and I remain baffled by this experience. We should have learned the first time, and it should have been our last. Instead, we -- my husband and I -- choose to learn the hard way. This is a theme in our marriage. We are used to it. Since the "there's no one to put a pizza in a box" experience, we have eaten Joe's black bean nachos - for some reason, the chef decided not to include the black beans, but added copious amounts of barely melted yellow American cheese ( you could still see the square-shaped yellow cheese when they put the dish on the table). Joe's does not seem invested in presention and is also a huge fan of leaving out promised ingredients -- none of which tracks, given the price of their meals. Which leads me to our latest -- and last -- experience with Joe's on Jolly. Several nights ago, we decided to have takeout from Joe's. I've had their kale and quinoa salad before, and it's quite good -- that is, when they're in the mood to include all of the ingredients. I was very much looking forward to the spiced almonds. I have attached my search for the spiced almonds in the picture. Those two halves of a single almond sliver is all they included in the salad. Because this was takeout, I wasn't going to go back to the restaurant to ask for the spiced almonds promised on the menu. My husband enjoys a good medium-well burger, which should be a signal to the kitchen that the burger should not come out mooing. The other attached picture is of the mooing cow that was included in our order. I ate half of it, because I don't mind, but my husband had to then throw the rest of the burger on the stove to cook it more than rare. I would say that it's clear that Joe's does not care about its take-out order clientele, but our experiences dining in with them have been mostly low quality as well. We only live a mile away and would love a great neighborhood joint, but after spending nearly 50 bucks on a takeout order (including a $9 beer while we waited for the order which took nearly 45 minutes), I'm pretty sure we're done with Joe's on Jolly. Henry's Place is just two miles away in the opposite direction -- a far better place to eat. I'm pretty sure Joe's could screw up a bottled beer. TL,DR: If you like for all promised ingredients in the entrees that you order, don't eat at Joe's. If you like for your burger to arrive as your ordered it, don't eat at Joe's. If you don't want to have to re-cook the meals you order at a restaurant, don't eat at Joe's. If you like being able to order take-out without having to box it yourself, don't eat at Joe's. If you take your hard-earned cash seriously, don't eat at Joe's.
