Delicious Malaysian restaurant, fast service, clean interior, friendly staff and delicious meals. The flavors are deep and fresh. The curry at spicy level 3 (out of 5) was ideal for the Roti appetizer. Very clean restaurant. Parking might be tough and you might need to wait. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

We had an amazing experience at Phat Eatery! The food was absolutely delicious — a perfect mix of bold, authentic Thai flavors. What truly made our visit special was the service, especially from Trinity. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and guided us through the menu with such care. Thanks to her, we ended up ordering a sort of sampler with appetizers and four main dishes — every single one was exquisite. We’ll definitely be coming back!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Every aspect of my experience at Phat Eatery was phenomenal. The food quality is top notch, packed with flavor and clearly made with care. The customer service was just as impressive, warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. Portions were generous too, which is always a plus. This was easily one of my best food experiences out there. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes from the menu. Highly recommend!

Phat Eatery absolutely exceeded my expectations! We ordered the salt and pepper calamari and the sizzling black pepper beef—both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Every bite was a delight, and the service? Outstanding. Julie had the prettiest smile and made fantastic recommendations. She was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience feel special. You can tell they truly care about their guests here. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Katy Asian Town. All the food we’ve tried has been delicious, especially the roti and sizzling tofu. You can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu. This is one of the best places for Hainanese chicken. We love everything. Katherine is so lovely and very helpful. We couldn't ask for the better service. We will be back for sure.

The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was excellent. This was our second visit to Phat Eatery, and it did not disappoint either time!

Had we not ordered the laksa, this would have been 5 stars. The roti was perfect, the salt and pepper calamari was deliciously crispy, the sizzling tofu (made in-house!) was great, the whole fried fish was still crispy despite being drenched in a unique piquant sauce, the rendang beef was super tender and aromatic. Even the fresh pressed juice was refreshing. However, laksa is such a staple Malaysian dish that everyone at my table was unanimously disappointed in its flavor. It was not rich nor flavorful, but at least it was a big portion stuffed with chicken and shrimp and tofu. We really enjoyed everything except the laksa.

Been here twice and I was surprised to like the Sizzling Tofu dish a lot more than the Beef Rendang. The Beef Rendang wasn't tender enough for me. It wasn't too saucy either (I saw photos and mine definitely seems drier - or maybe it's supposed to be dry but actually caramelized) and there were too many pieces with gristle and such that I had to spit out. Their Shrimp Shumai is pretty good and packed with juicy shrimp and their Har Gau was even better. I enjoyed both their Malaysian Milk Tea and Lychee Sunrise beverages and hope to try more on subsequent visits. Their Roti Canai (or the Chicken Sauce version) is fantastic. But if you don't hate tofu, that Sizzling Tofu is where it's at! Amazing sauce and house made silken tofu that's perfectly fried in eggs, and who doesn't love the sizzle when they pour the sauce right in front of you?

We enjoyed our meal here tonight! Standouts were the sizzling tofu and Hainan chicken. The noodles and fried rice fell short of expectations but overall a good meal. Service was incredible.

Really enjoyed Phat Eatery. The Roti Chennai was properly spicy in a good way and tasted authentic. The satay was well flavoured and came with the usual cucumber and onion, but was a bit dry. The mee goreng was the highlight: very fragrant, lots of veggies, clearly cooked in a hot wok. It genuinely tasted like something you’d eat in Malaysia—bold, hot, and visually appealing. Only minor gripe was the service; getting the waiter’s attention was a bit slow. Food more than made up for it though.

This my first visit here. I have read so many reviews raving about this place. It did not disappoint. The location is easy to access. Plenty of free parking. The place is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The staff are excellent, attentive, helpful, and polite. The food were tasty, inventive, and the menu is original and inventive. The price reflects its premium status. I sat at their busy bar and yet, the service was quick and attentive. I will be coming here again for sure.

Tbh I was disappointed with the rendang, I thought it was lacking in flavor although it had the right texture and not some overly soft beef cubes. The chicken itself was ok but I have had better elsewhere in dallas and vegas. The chicken rice was also too dry for my taste and the coloring was too fierce

This place, once hailed as one of the best restaurants in town and even winning awards, has unfortunately lost its luster. I had to return the meat curry because it was an impossible task to chew. The meat was tough and greasy, and despite the waiter’s claim that it was their most popular dish, her attitude was unpleasant when I expressed my difficulty in eating it. I’m definitely not returning to this restaurant. On the bright side, the rotini and white rice were good.

I can't understand why people like this place. No flavor. The beef tasted boiled then thrown in some rice. Pork shrimp dumpling tasted fishy. I would never go back.
