I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe in general, but this experience stood out to me. The lady that served me- her name was Kammi- was absolutely incredible! She greeted me when I walked in, handed my meal quickly, & chatted with me until I left! She was very intentional & kind & is one of the reasons I will be returning! I know that when I visit this TSC, I will get great food + customer service because they treat you like family!
I was there on Sep 26 in the morning and the attention is incredible! The smoothie was great, I went to another location but they put a lot of water on it but here it was perfect! Good place and good music!

Always love eating here! Staff here was very nice too, my smoothie was out of an ingredient and she waited until I got to the store to inform me and ask what I wanted for a substitution. What she recommended ended up being delicious! Will be coming back.
I was coming home from Work after a busy day decided to reward myself with a A bowl i’ve never been to this particular location, but will return again was on exactly what I wanted and how I needed it made. I felt welcomed the atmosphere was simply because of the music in the service. I even forgot one of my topping layers and went back up neon lady help me effortlessly No Charge Clean it, clean, bright and colorful We in for takeout and decided to dine in…
My experience in this tropical smoothie was very pleasant. The staff were very generous and funny making jokes. I ordered the peanut butter cup which was delicious and a nice sweet treat. The interior design was very presentable and had a nice cute touch to it. The atmosphere was nice and everything was spotless. Would come again!
Great chain restaurant. Quality of smoothies and other food is typically really good. We had one issue today with extra chicken. Looking at picture, the salad in the left was to have extra chicken (2oz actually). It looks identical to other. Called restaurant for credit as it was to go. They believe it was done correctly and not supporting the request for $1.50 credit. We will check order more thoroughly in front of staff next time.
Yum had the banana chia smoothie and the island green and both were delicious!

My boyfriend and I just went through the drive thru ordered two wraps, and two smoothies and the sides we asked for were a banana and chips. The sides we got were a banana and a apple and the apple is absolutely disgusting and won't be eaten (pictures below). The wrap didnt taste that well either something very off with it. The smoothie was the most decent thing. She made us repeat the order twice we even turned off the car to see if thats why she couldn't hear us and mind you this TX summer heat creeps in fast with the car off, so a bit miserable. Great Customer service doesn't exist at this location and ive been here several times seems it gets worse with each visit. The girl who served us this time was Adrianna S. As printed on the smoothie sticker. Very unprofessional service. Just letting everyone know Clay rd tropical is way better food wise and service wise compared to this one at katy fwy. Im done giving this location chances and will not be coming back.
First time at this location and while my smoothie was great, my salad and the customer service were awful 😖 I was treated like a disease in the window and the cashier wanted nothing to do with me, like I was an inconvenience and she had better things to get back to. She barely had a grip on my cup and almost dropped it, and when my salad came out of the window it was the same thing. The bag was dangling from her fingernails like it was diseased. I have never been treated so poorly at a drive-thru window. Even the employees at McDonalds are better than this. My salad is posted below, it went straight to the trash. The chicken was so bad even my dog didn't want to eat it! Please, no cut and paste script responses from management. If you cannot be genuine in your response, please refrain.

I placed an online order for three acai bowls, and unfortunately, they were all watery. The fruit and granola had settled at the bottom of each bowl. I have ordered from your establishment multiple times previously, and the quality has consistently been excellent; however, today's experience was a significant disappointment. I kindly request that you instruct your team to store acai bowls in the freezer until they are picked up. Thank you.

I typically don’t eat at places with sketchy reviews or with a less than 4.5 star rating but this tropical cafe used to be ok. I think it’s the last time I stop at this one. The guy at the register and making smoothies was not rude but running the drive way, orders to go I can see there’s no time to serve every customer in time. I’m ok with that. Same with the cook. However, the sandwich was very poorly made. Old lettuce, no tomatoes and literally two slices of turkey. I typically just accept my faith, but I decided to say something. I just mentioned it was missing tomatoes at first but after a few minutes and still no tomatoes in sight and my sandwich getting cold because fan is at full blast, I asked again about the tomatoes. I mentioned also about how our sandwiches looked poorly made. The cook didn’t even showed her face no apology no sandwich remade just threw two pieces of tomatoes in my sandwich. The smoothie also lacked flavor and this was before I could have possibly upset them for saying something. I’m not confrontational, I sat there ate some of my sandwich, my daughter ate hers she’s little and doesn’t know.
My patience has run thin at this location. Save your life, no seriously , and avoid this location! You will be food poison sick or unhappy with the service and for getting wrong food and so on! Look at the moldy banana. Definitely reporting to health dept! Never this location again!

Waited in line to purchase a smoothie. It was a customer in front of me and the Asian cashier did not know what he was doing. I guess the customer in front of me needed a discount or something after he handled the customer then he tells me I’ll be with you in one second and start making smoothies after I waited for a lengthy period of time. I couldn’t wait any longer and I just went ahead and left. Please have your workers understand customer service properly.
I’ve been coming to this Tropical Smoothie location for a long time and have never had an issue until now. I am severely allergic to coconut — not a preference, an actual allergy — and I have always been allowed to substitute coconut for strawberries in my smoothie without any problem. On Monday the 16th at around 2:15 PM, I went through the drive-thru and was told I couldn’t substitute the coconut. instead of handling it professionally, I was told, “I can do it this time I guess,” like they were doing me some kind of favor. That response was disappointing and honestly concerning. When someone has a serious allergy, it shouldn’t feel like they’re asking for special treatment just to be safe. I’m paying for the product, and I simply need an ingredient swapped due to a medical reason — something this location has done for me many times before. If policies have changed or there’s new staff, proper training is important — especially when it comes to allergens and customer service. I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but this interaction left a bad impression. I hope management addresses this so no one else with allergies feels dismissed or uncomfortable.
I wish I could give 0 stars. The customer Service through the drive through was terrible. The lady was very passive aggressive when asked for clarification. I would rather drive further than to return to this tropical smoothie
The health department needs to come to this store. I witnessed the worker going outside to the dumpster and then coming bank inside holding dirty shoes in his hands and he never washed his hands. He went straight to the register to ring up Another customer and begin making a smoothie with dumpster hands. I’ll never get a smoothie here again.
I'm sorry but no I've been to other locations and this by far is not it . I got the corn and it smelt spoiled . The quesadilla was filled with just tomato. I'm not sure what happened but this was a disappointment .
We were waiting for our phones at Verizon and I was getting a little hungry so I walked next-door and ordered a pesto sandwich light pesto. The young lady behind the counter was not very engaging when I got my sandwich and I walked next-door to Verizon. I opened it up and it was completely doused and pesto sauce. I walked back over and on principle I asked for a refund but at this point I just didn’t want the sandwich. The young lady had no idea how to process a refund on my credit card nor could she give me a gift card? Not that I would’ve used it but again this is when principal the kitchen guy came out and said he could remake it and I just told him I really don’t want it. I was given the manager‘s number I haven’t called yet and I don’t know that I’ll have time to but this was a very depressing store very depressing food and very depressing atmosphere. The young lady informed us the reason it was taking so long was because I got slammed with online orders I understand the online orders can take precedence but when you have customers waiting in the store it’s a little infuriating to hear that people online are getting jumped before people who are waiting patiently in the store. You guys really need to make some changes, I wish you luck, but we will never be back. I understand that young folks in the Customer service industry are still learning, but this young lady was just flat and completely disconnected from even engaging with The customers I felt also like I was an inconvenience and a disease while I was standing there. I know it’s hard to get good labour these days, but what an Awful experience For two smoothies and a sandwich, doused in pesto for almost $30
I work near this location and frequented it about 3 times a week, at minimum. At first, the food and service was good, but quickly declined. I normally order a Chia bowl and a PB Crunch flatbread. The last several times I’ve gone, the flatbread is terribly overcooked and dry, and the last time it was hard a rock. I’ve complained about the flatbread several times, to no avail. The last couple of Chia Bowls I’ve gotten have had an extremely weird aftertaste and one of them actually tasted bad, so I had to throw the entire thing away. Went there with the receipts and even a video of the rock hard flatbread and the manager on duty did absolutely nothing about it. Just said “Ok” and gave me the total for the order I was picking up. I not only left feedback at that location, but at the Clay location as well. I also did the feedback on the receipt, with no one reaching out to assist. The Clay location’s manager has been helpful and friendly. I left my name and number there to be sent to upper management and still have not received a call back to address any of these concerns. I’ve spent a lot of money at Tropical, but until someone reaches out to address these concerns, they have lost my business.

I went here with my kids and in laws after a morning at a petting zoo. After my mother in law ordered, I stepped up to order and the girl turned around and walked away. A few minutes later she asked if I wanted to order and I told her yes. I ordered my 1st smoothie and she turned around and just left. I started my order over again but she stopped after the next smoothie to text on her phone, I thought she was giving me my order free for the poor service. Then she left again. This happened 2 more times until I was finally able to pay. I came back to ask for some extra sweetener but was told they don’t have it until a manager came up and handed me what I was asking for. Our food was packaged well if it was to go but it was dine in so a lot of packaging waste. I felt like we were bothering them and probably won’t return.
