Best chicken pot pie I've ever eaten. Steaming hot and I couldn't stop eating it. Friendly staff and good prices. I'd come back every day if I didn't live so far away. Must stop if you're heading their way
This is a cool stop if you need to stretch your legs, get some gas, and check out all the goodies this place has. They have packaged nuts, fruits candy and lots more. Not to mention hot items too like some hand pies.
This place is great! Lots of fun and lots of food. The Mac & cheese is crazy good, and so are the empanadas/Okie pies. Everything is very clean as well. Love stopping here
Lots of activities for all ages. We went during October where you recieve a free pumpkin with purchase of the wrist bands. My only suggestion would be to have some kind of help getting the pumkin back to the car. There was 4 of us and trying to carry 4 pumkins was rough..flat carts would have been a great feature..my son enjoyed the giant pillow!
This place is amazing, delicious hot food, ice cream, and tons of homemade sauces, honeys, and pickled items. Anytime people ask what there is to do this is top of my list, everything in this store is high quality. You can also come and pick your own fruits and vegetables and different times in the year. We love this place!
This place was awesome!!! We got to pick our blackberries, they are delicious. We had lunch, a combo for $11.99 that consisted of a homemade pot pie, (a generous helping) mac and cheese, and a drink. The store has a lot of fruits, candy, and fun. Also, there are different birds and some farm animals. Definitely will go back.
Love coming here! We come for the okie pies and leave with a little bit of everything😅 Come on the weekends if you are passing through and have little kids, or if you just want to berry pick (check the events page to see if they're in season). But definitely get the okie pies with the Mac and cheese...so good!
Must stop! This place is fantastic. You get free berries with a gas purchase. Then we ate our weight in delicious berries we bought! I got my new favorite shirt here. Its green with yellow flowers and says mellow yellow. Love. Bought jam to hive our fam (we are on a road trip). Try the red sangria too. So so so good. Plenty of rooms for campers, trucks, rvs to turn around too. We had our dogs and it was fine. They had a lot of homemade food too.
I haven't had a chance to do the U-pick yet, but I've always had good service whenever I come through. Their savory okie pies are a delight and never miss. I only tried the apple pie once but it's a touch on the sweet side so I'd give that particular pie a 4.5/5 but a 5/5 on everything else. This is the first time I've tried the fruit and it was all delicious. The cherries are sweet and tart and the strawberries are plump and juicy. I definitely recommend buying anything that's in season because it is all good.
We stopped here to get gas and went inside to check it out. They have a really nice farm store with so many options to choose from. We got a cherry okie pie that was so good. They also give you free fruit with a gas purchase. The fruit was so tasty. They have a play area that is huge for kids and also have you pick fruit area with many fruit options. This is a really nice place and you should absolutely stop if you are driving through!
Upon replenishing my starfighter’s fuel, I sensed the pull of the farm stand and followed the Force within. A most welcome surprise it was! The market, arranged with great care, offered a bounty of fresh fruits, vegetables, pies, potions of refreshment, jams, and even warm provisions to sustain travelers. Drawn by the aroma of something promising, I chose the breakfast empanada—filled with sausage, egg, and cheese. Satisfying, it was. A meal worthy of any Jedi’s morning meditation. For those seeking a swift yet wholesome nourishment or the finest local harvest, this place is a beacon in the galaxy. Whether passing through or seeking a hidden gem, I urge you—visit, you must!
Such a beautiful place; we always pass it coming down to my sister inlaws and never stopped til this time around. So happy we decided to stop, loved everything about this place and they even had some cute little goats outside that were so friendly and loved the attention the were getting especially the scratches under their chin.
Had the pleasure of stopping by and trying their Okie pies - absolutely delicious! The restroom was sparkling clean, and the staff greeted me with warm smiles. Honestly, what more could you ask for on the road? If you're a fellow big rig driver needing a quick 30-minute break, this place is a must-stop. You won't regret it!
So cute! It was a great stop on our road trip. The farm side doesn't open until October so we weren't able to experience the farm part. However the market was awesome. Fresh fruit, snacks, meat filled pies, and Mac n cheese. Plenty of seating inside and out. There was a huge parking lot and we were able to part our RV.
Stopped at The B8g Red Barn, Murray Farms, on our way home from Palm Springs. This was our first time stopping in here. We used the restroom and bought a couple of store items and got some ice cream cones and a date shake. Cool little spot to chill with the family and kids if you are looking for a unique spot. They have a petting zoo and a playground area for kids. I'm not sure if you have to pay to go to the play area but a very large area and a lot to do. They also have a chevron attached next door and plenty of food and fuel to fill up on. If we pass by again, we will stop in. They had fresh local fr I s and vegetables that is always a plus.
Seems like there is more to do here every time I come. Good place to bring kids. A little pricey though.
Cool place, but the $40 I spent on 2 sodas, 2 lollipops, and a bag of freeze dried skittles kinda put a dent in my overall enjoyment. But I'll still stop by whenever I drive by. Great place for the kids to run around and sit on pig statues and such. A must-see for any fan of giant gourds. Which I am, of course (but who isn't?).Pumpkins are huge!
Update: Stopped last March coming through but now heading back stopped again. I was hoping to see Citrus but I guess I'm a tad early. Late October so just Plouts, Persimmons, Pears and such. Still a good place to stop and see what they have. Very helpful staff. Stopped because I saw the signs as I approached heading up 58. Glad I did. I enjoyed the unique citrus fruit offered as well as the apples and other fruits and neat treats of all kinds. Prices are good as well. I don't usually like grapefruit but enjoyed the Oro Blanco. Mild. Juicy. Good. Would definitely recommend a stop.
Not a petting zoo or anything even remotely close, at least in August when we went. But you can see some typical farm fowl and goats through a fence by the parking lot. The store though was amazing. Awesome homemade, farm-fresh goods at reasonable prices. Plenty of places to sit inside and outside, and the workers were polite, knowledgeable, and quick. Bought some hot pistachios and some organic treats.
Beautiful spot to stop for a break. I’ve driven past many times, but took the opportunity recently to stop in and take a quick look around. I will certainly have to come back or more lengthy visit. Lovely displays and huge variety of products in the store. Everything appears to be either from the farm itself or locally sourced. We took home some jams and jellies and an apple pie. The apple pie is delicious!
Murray Family Farms: Worth the Pit Stop (and the Double Portions) On my trips to Las Vegas and back, the signs for Murray Family Farms have always caught my attention. Finally, after many years of driving past the exit, I stopped and spent twenty minutes looking around the farm store. The store is spacious and well organized. It offers fresh produce and more. Many of the products there are from local farms or businesses. I had little time to spend there, but the oranges (grown across the street according to the friendly staff) and the freshly baked pies (especially the cherry pies) immediately caught my attention. When I returned to San Francisco, I tried both within the following couple of days. Folks, they were flavorful and delicious. The only problem was that they were apparently very good because they all disappeared before I could try more! The pie went first, and the oranges were gone a couple of days later! Now I know better! Next time, double portions are a must! I'll need to stock up before these delicious treats vanish again!
