A needed stop on a long work day. As always, the food was great.

This In-N-Out is unusually friendly and very clean. Not that the other In-N-Out locations are so bad, but at this location the staff are constantly cleaning the tables and the countertops even when it's busy with lines out the door and the staff (or maybe manager?) Vince went around checking in on everyone and was very very friendly. Definitely one of the best In-N-Out I have ever been to.

Huge shout out to all the hard workers at this In n Out. For me, it is the best one in the state. The burgers come out looking like the TV commercials. Also, MAD RESPECT for Vince. His personality, kindness, and the way he announces your number when the food is ready. Guy puts Ryan Seacrest to shame.

so good, the man working the cash register was so sweet and friendly (name was on receipt, will update if i find it), both the girl taking our order and the one giving it to us were so kind, as well. can’t beat in-n-out for value right now. this was my first california in-n-out and i need everyone to try one in california now.

First ‘In and Out’ and I’d Hokey Cokey to another in the future. Super quick service, clean and tidy location. Food was hot and perfectly cooked.

We got here just before the big lunch rush. Just remember you have to ask for ketchup if you want it. I ate outside, and enjoyed the local birds. They keep a respectful distance, but will not let a loose fry hit the ground

Coming all the way from Chicago, of course I have to stop for In-N-Out. I tried the animal style fries, which I didn’t love, but I definitely ate all of them. The burger animal style is awesome. Always a delicious fast food experience!

Brought back tons of memories during the college years driving between LA and SF. The burger is absolutely on point here because Kettleman city is the best in between rest stop. Crisp lettuce, onions, patty and the special sauce. 💯 yum

It was very busy. I was impressed at how clean it was considering it was packed. Order lines ran smooth and received our food in a timely manner.

Good mid way point when driving to OC to peninsula and vice versa. Super charging right next and across. The line gets busy during peak hour but moves quickly. In n out burger and fries doesn’t disappoint.

In-N-Out is always consistent in their quality. This location of the I-5 is no exception! The parking lot is medium sized and the drive thru line is well organized. Service as usual is very snappy and courteous. If you're in the area or going on a road trip, In-N-Out is always a safe bet for food!

Could use a bit more shade or cooling measures for outdoors. It is also a frequent stop for travelers, especially with pets. A good path that doesn't get burning hit to the pet relief would be helpful for pets to not burn their paws. Cooling fans or misters outdoors would be Awesome! I'd pay to use them. They could set it up like tabletop jukeboxes. Everything else is great as usual! Even when In-N-Out messed up, they're awesome at making it right for the customer whether it's on-site or via gift cards. No hassle when there's an honest complaint. Still affordable, too! It's one of the few places left where I can feed my family for a reasonable price. We can even afford an occasional milkshake. No one is left hungry.

Living in Northern California we occasionally make the drive to Southern California, and on the drive we stop to eat at this In n out particularly. Passing up many. Because of the great service we receive from employees like Linda. With her great customer service, we will always ensure she has a customer when we make the long drive. Order #16

My family used to stop by this in-n-out (or the area around it) whenever we drove down to LA. Food is great & cheap, but the gas here is not as cheap unfortunately.

Fries were way too salty. However the staff quickly gave us new fries. A+ service and management. We’ve stopped here before and shall stop here again for food

You will never be disappointed with In and Out Burger. The quality and freshness are exactly as good as you have heard. The picture is my meal, a #2 which has a cheeseburger fries and medium drink. I got mine with onions, which accentuated the flavor.

11/20/2020 the lines are long, but thanks to In-N-Out in their ruthless efficiency the wait time is fairly short It's worth noting that due to Covid the indoor seating is closed, and they're only letting a limited number of people inside at a time for takeout - so there's a line at the door. One bonus is that at least this store takes Google/Samsung/Apple Pay

In N Out they are consistently fresh and tasty. I had a double double with an extra raw slice of onion and crispy fries. I am very pleased that they changed their milkshake formula that now tastes like real ice cream. Traveling north on I-5 I stopped for fuel at a Chevron station in Kettleman City and right next door is an In-N-Out. It was well worth the 30 minute wait for them to open up at 10am. One of the staff came out to say hello were are now open, come on in.

In transit to Southern California and stopped at In N Out for quick lunch. Besides serving great burgers and fries, staff member saw our dog and on his own initiative got a container with ice water for our pet commenting it’s hot and this will make her happy…. Very thoughtful…

This In-n-Out is very cool, I felt a very good energy, clean, fast and very good food as aways, a lot of space to park the car, drive thru fast! It's more than worth this stop! We was going to eat somewhere else before stop here and no regrets, and the most IMPORTANT: The best tip I will gove to you Ask a 4by4, Animal Style Fries and you will be happy for the rest of your trip =D

This might be THE best In-N-Out if there is one – I make a point to stop here specifically on my drives between LA and the Bay because it's that fire. Service is friendly and efficient, somehow their fries are a notch above your average In n out fries... crisp on the outside but tender on the inside, and the rest of the food is consistently immaculate. They're conveniently located right by 2 Superchargers so it's just the perfect rest/food stop.

I left my purse and a wallet, staff were incredibly helpful and supportive, they found it and handed it back. Can’t thank them enough. Plus food and service are amazing. U guys rock!

Friendly, attentive service at the Kettleman Station! Sunday night @5:00 pm short line. We were asked if we planned to eat in our vehicle. When we said yes they gave us paper placemats for our laps. The parking lot was clean with plenty of parking available. Great experience! 'X' marks the spot.

It was a crazy busy day on Wednesday, 12/31/25. The drive thru was well out into the street, and the line to get in was spilling into the parking lot. And, we had an order for 9 people. Still, the crew there got it all done. The star was Vince, who took our order. He was so so friendly and competent. He took what could have been a very stressful situation and made it fun. We saw him do that with everyone. He needs an award!

So I did hear a lot about this location and how there is a secret menu of animal style burgers and fries 😀 and wanted to give it a try. If you are traveling bayarea <-> socal, this in n out is located right at Kettleman city. We ordered animal style burger - food was good - in n out quality as you would get anywhere in bay area. For me, what stand out was the atmosphere of this place - all the front register staff especially that one guy (didn’t got the name) is extremely friendly and welcoming…how the front register staff should be! He said hellos and hi’s to everyone walking through the door…that’s what makes this place special. Yes, there is a huge wait if you go during lunch rush time…we were there at around 3 PM. Kids get free hot cocoa (at least when we were there yesterday)!

Best and cleanest in n out we’ve ever been in. The person who took our order was really friendly, she even was on her way over to us to bring our coffee that we forgot to pick up. Then the cleaning lady Carmen was so sweet and kind. She was so attentive and cleaned a table as soon as the couple was there left so we could seat my parents close by to us. She also stopped by several times to ask if we needed anything. As a fast food restaurant, we didn’t expect any of this. And the bathrooms were clean and tidy and there were like 8-9 stalls compared to small in n out franchises we’ve been to that have just a few stalls. Food was great as always but really stellar customer service. Wish I could give that team an above and beyond score of 10 today - thank you!

Perfect pit stop in I-5 with tesla superchargers right next to it. Vince was very friendly and even when the place was super crowded during Thanksgiving weekend travel on I5, he made sure to clean tables, hand out activity kits for children and check on the quality and satisfaction with guests. Vince is absolutely a delight, he is full of energy, greets people enthusiastically, when a group of children asked if they could get 5 In-N-Out hats he followed up with the brightest smiles and energy that it made them all smile and laugh. A clean, cheery and cheap place for a food break while you are on the road. It was holiday weekend so was very crowded but the turnaround was quite quick. We went in for the veggie burger (no patty) and fries. As good as ever! The chocolate shake was delicious.

This was our first visit to In-n-Out while driving back from LA to SF. Loved the Cheese Burgers, Animal Style fries, Strawberry Milkshake and the pickled chilli's they provide at the ketchup counter. The taste of those burgers was awesome, which is the reason why we will certainly stop at other outlets in the future. Looks like McD has some serious competition!!

A staple of California, this In-n-Out location is conveniently located off the I-5 and is a great rest stop on the route halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. I love their burgers. Would recommend a 3x3 or 4x4 (3 patties and 4 patties), since a double-double might not be enough. The fries here are not my favorite as they lack flavor and are not as crispy nor crunchy as I would like. Like all the other locations, the layout is the same and the staff are incredibly enthusiastic and fun. My favorite part of my experience here is Vince, an employee who radiates energy and enthusiasm. When he calls out numbers, he uses such a fun announcer voice and is just a genuine joy to talk and interact with.

My 1st time going. It's a burger place. Food was cooked fresh which I liked. Patty's are small? but fresh lettuce and huge fresh slice of tomato. All in all it was good, but nothing special in my eyes. If you want a good freshly made burger? I definitely recommend.

Double double animal style with extra onions and tomatoes was excellent as usual. Plus 2 puppy patties for our 2 dogs. This location was extremely busy. Took longer than normal but was to be expected.

Great service. The staff members are friendly and efficient. The food however was a bit of a let down. After hearing people raving about In-N-out for so long I came in with high expectations and was kind of let down. I do not reccomend getting the "special sauce" on the fries, it's kind of gross. The strawberry milkshake was delicious!

The only reason I don't give this location a 5/5 was because their fryer was down...I was so looking forward to extra crispy fries...oh well Everything else was excellent

It’s an in-n-out, so the food tastes like any other in-n-out 😆 there were soooo many dogs there the day that I went which really made the atmosphere feel lively, however there was also so many people. The line was out the door and all of the seating, outdoor and indoor, was full. I waited about 20 mins for an outdoor table 🥲

This place is located exactly at the half distance from San Jose to LA, perfect for a pit stop , fresh up , have some fries and recharge for the next half 😀 Visited during one of the Christmas weekend and it was upper crowded.

The place is located at a convenient distance from Fremont /Sanjose while going towards LA . The taste is as usual great, but what makes this place great is the people who work here are super enthusiastic and look happy and service is pretty fast There is a Tesla supercharger across the street and this place tends to get super crowded Typical wait times are 15-20 mins . There is plenty of seats in and around the place for you to sit and eat, but you may still have to wait. ( when I went it was a long weekend and that could be the reason for longish waits). Lot of parking available and we have vegetarian options as well

Conveniently located right off of interstate 5 in Kettleman city. As you can imagine this can be a very busy store. The staff does an excellent job on getting orders out accurately and expeditiously. You can’t be a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink for nine bucks.

Efficient, clean, decent food. Women's bathroom faucets, soap dispenser, PT dispenser suck. Not enough bathrooms and the bathroom location relative to the line to order is cumbersome.

Definitely the messiest In-N-Out I've ever been to. Food all over the floor. Every open table sticky and covered with food. Bathroom had no paper towels and the floors were gross but..... Food was delicious as always and the staff was pumping out orders quickly and with a smile.

Pretty decent. The service was amazing. Do ask for other options for fries as they have more that is not in their menu. The only thing that was disappointing was that their burger patty was much much smaller than the bun. Too many onions which were strong but other than that not too bad.

Always a good time at In N Out. I always get the cheeseburger with onions and regular fries. Always affordable and always on the go. It's pretty decent for fast food.

“No delay”? How about “long delay.” We stopped in to order to-go during a road trip. We put our order in at 8:20pm and walked out with our food at 9:10pm. The food and service was the high quality we have all come to expect from In-n-Out, but I would have skipped it on this road trip had we known it was going to take us 50 minutes to receive our food.

The rest rooms were filthy, there was no toilet paper in the stall, and there was garbage all over the restroom. I have been to many In N Out locations, and was surprised by how dirty the restrooms were.

Just hope there is a heads up of the waiting time. Someone says it worth it.not at this spot maybe. The food is always good. But does it worth waiting for hours? I don’t think so. Only after we got our number do we know that there are 56 orders before us… we should at least been told about the fact .

This location (like many) always crazy busy. Not sure why people love it. Fries were cold and stale within 6 mins timt took to walk back to the car, and bun burned on inside. Disappointing since they clearly have huge turnaround! At least they give plenty of fresh lettuce and tomato. The rest was as expected.

This In-N-Out location is just like any other. You pull into the parking lot, go into the long drive thru line, and stay there for 20-30 minutes. I ordered an Animal Style burger with no pickles, and my mother ordered a Double-Double. We also got 2 waters. Both of us enjoyed our food. However, this location earned 3 stars instead of 5 from me because of what happened when we got to the food window. The workers did not fill our waters when we got there, and we had to wait 5 minutes while the workers told their gossip/tea to each other, which is really frustrating, and then FINALLY we got our waters. This is very unacceptable and they should not be wasting a customer's time just to tell their drama to each other. Save it for after the shift. We would come here again if we have to, otherwise please get it together.

In-N-Out is the best hamburger franchise..... but this one is poorly run. I've been there twice and I know there will not be a third time. It takes a while to get fresh hot food and I accept that. But this one is a mess. Only 6 cars in the drive thru and it took almost 30 minutes to get my food... I didn't pay at the first window (something or someone was fouled up) my food was barely warm when I finally got it. I'll keep going to In-N-Out.... just never this one.

Know your order before you are next in line, extremely busy place. Long wait for food. Average burger. Fresh cut fries. It’s not that they are unfriendly just no time for chitchat. Need to hire one more employee just for cleaning.

Super crowded here. Employees are efficient BUT it takes an extra long time to get served at this location. Management and ownership needs to make improvements. Food quality is great. Parking is limited.

The food was great. We were driving home from the coast that night and stop in for a milk shake and fried. We did the drive through. Big mistake. We waited in a short line of cars for about 30 minutes. If I had to do it over again, We should have went to McDonalds, next to In n Out. It was around 10:30 pm.

Waited 30 mins for 2 orders of fries. Very crowded! Walked in and the place smelled like body odor. When we ordered there were 20 numbers ahead of us. Trash cans so overflowed you can barely throw anything away. Bathroom smells weird like mold. Do yourself a favor and take the drive thru!!!!

By far the worst IN AND OUT nationwide. Waited over an hour to recieve two meals. Drive through was being cranked out. Staff could careless about my time or my money spent. Don't waste you time here!

Never ate such bad tasting french fries at a fast food. Same for the vanilla milkshake. And the cheeseburger was not more convincing. First time I tried IN-N-Out and last time...

first time ive ever had a in n out burger taste funky, we all took a couple bites and it tasted like cleaning supplies. Long wait time and it was not busy at all. Wait till you get to a different in n out if your traveling through. Always thought in n outs quality control was good but this one slipped through the cracks.

In N Out quality and management = Mcdonald's and Burger King! We ordered a double double with animal style and a cheeseburger with onions. They switched it. Then when I mentioned it to the manager, Robert, he sent it to the prep lady with glasses and told her to just switch the buns. Bottom Line, the animal style was mixed with the non animal style. I told him it is not right, Robert said they are busy. Totally not the service expected of in n out! I guess you can just switch buns and make a crappy burger and call it good... I thought In N Out was about quality. I obviously was wrong. Totally unacceptable!

There was huge queue and they tried to give food as soon as possible by which we got half cooked foods , I am big fan of in n out , may be a one time incident ,

Not sure what's the issue with this place. I tried the animal style burger and fries and was super disappointed. The cheese was already cold and frozen, the burger was already cold when served to us...the taste was completely off. This is the second time in two months I am disappointed with this place. And this place on I5 near Kettleman city was full of flies...so much so that my wife just threw away her burger after the fly landed on her tray. Very unhealthy situation.

We have been long time fans of In N Out. We respect the product, the service, and especially the company’s mission, culture, and history. This review is not written lightly. We visited the Kettleman City location on December 21st around 8:00 PM while traveling on I-5. We placed our order at approximately 7:45 PM. After 15 minutes, only two orders had been called. At the pace orders were being fulfilled for walk in customers, it was clear it would have taken 45 to 60 minutes to receive our food. For a location that primarily serves travelers on I-5, that wait time is unreasonable. Most people stopping there do not have an hour to wait for fast food. We decided to cancel our order and leave. Canceling the order was also frustrating. It took about five minutes just to get a manager to assist, adding more delay. The condition of the restaurant was very disappointing. The tables and dining area were dirtier than any In N Out location we have seen in more than 35 years of visiting the brand. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The work area behind the cashier was messy and largely vacant of workers, even though both the drive through and the inside were at full capacity. The operation felt disorganized and understaffed, which is very uncharacteristic of In N Out. This was easily our worst In N Out experience. We remain fans of the brand, but this location on this night fell far below the standards we have come to expect.
