Opinions de Baker's Dozen Bagels Kew Gardens
Locally owned bagel shop in the heart of Kew Gardens. Very busy mornings with locals and others lined up for bagels and coffee. And yet, never a wait as it's well staffed with a cadre of quick, friendly and super efficient counter staff who will take good care of you and get you on your way in no time. Oh, and the bagels... fresh each morning, and some of the best anywhere!
This place has some of the best bagels in NYC, their team is on point with your order and they are a well oiled machine. They is often a line so if you go in the morning expect a short wait. But it will be worth it!
I love this place. Bagels and cream cheese are amazing. Their bacon egg and cheese is one of the best in Kew Gardens. The guys there are really friendly and helpful. The only negative is it's super busy often so you will have to wait up to 20 minutes to get your food. But it's worth it.
Literally never let down by these folks. The bagels are top tier and the sandwiches they make are fulfilling. Fast service will ensure you become a regular in no time. See you there. (everything bagel toasted with sausage egg n cheese.)
I’ve been living in Kew Gardens over a decade and tried hard to find a place that beats Bakers dozen. I could not find one. A lot of famous bagel places in Manhattan, Brooklyn and other states are not as good as this one. I love their crunch (when toasted) and chewy bagels. I recently tried their sandwiches for lunch. Mamma Mia!! It was such a hit!! Long live Baker’s dozen!!!!!!
The best bagels in Kew Gardens, and maybe in all of Queens. What more is there to say? Well, that they're hand-rolled, freshly-baked, and often served still warm, even pre-toasted. The employees are courteous, attentive, and respectful—something of a rarity these days. This is a business being run right.
Cannot begin my day without my coffee and bagel with cream cheese at my favorite Deli. The bagels and pastries are freshly baked every day and all day long. Service is exceptional. Wonderful folks serving us with a warm smile always.
Very good food! Bagels were amazing and the omelette was DELICIOUS! Will DEF be back again whenever I’m in Queens/Forest Hills area🏌🏾♂️💯
I always get chicken cutlet sandwiches or breakfast sandwiches and they’re always so good and fresh. In the mornings it’s super busy so make sure to have enough time. Other than that they’re pretty quick and I like to call ahead and make my order.
Addictively delicious food and incredible service. There’s almost always a line, but it moves extremely quickly. Very highly recommended: a flat sesame bagel sandwich with either scrambled eggs, or vegan cream cheese and superior quality nova. Dietary restrictions and special requests cheerfully accommodated. Extensive menu, huge selection of beverages, sparkling clean interior, friendly and professional staff. Why go anywhere else for breakfast and lunch?!
This place is so much more than a Bagel Shop. Yes they have DELICIOUS bagels but they have so much more. All kinds of bakery items. Muffins and pastries just to name a few. They also have all kinds of sandwiches and salads. A large assortment of drinks. Deli sandwiches. Personally I go there for bagels and egg sandwiches but I will try other items as I continue to visit this great Bagel Shop! Definitely recommend it to anyone who loves or even likes NY bagels!
The bagels are real bagels. I appreciate that they continue to fill the essential need for carbs. I usually get the classic, cream cheese and lox. They do not skimp and the price is very reasonable. It's a high bar for competitors. I've regretted going elsewhere out of convenience and being disappointed that I didn't wait till I got home to go to Baker's Dozen. One opportunity to improve, is the line. It can be confusing. With all the extra space, why not make an Express Line to pick up phone orders and order dry bagels? And, a designated waiting area with six foot markers would be nice to help avoid the cluster of folks by the register.
I grew up in Kew Gardens and 50 somethin years later I come back and grab a dozen to take home to Florida every time I'm in town. The bagels are authentic and delicious. The proprietor and staff are friendly and professional. The only complaint is he hasn't opened a place in Tampa. Can't wait to visit again soon.
Came here one morning with my friend on 9/3/21 for bagels. I had a everything bagel toasted w/ cream cheese, nova lox, red onions, capers, and tomato and my friend had a everything bagel with cream cheese. I enjoyed my bagel with a pineapple orange juice. The staff and the man who took our order were very nice. Highly recommended! Definitely will be back!
My first time there the staff was really friendly and took my order patiently as I was unfamiliar with the menu. We ordered everything bagel with tuna, vegetable cream cheese bagel, potato omelette and iced coffee. The amount of cream cheese they put in their bagel is perfect, not too much nor too little. Although the iced coffee could've been better. Overall the food was 8/10 Would recommend it.
I’m giving a five star cause I’m a business owner myself and I know this isn’t the owners fault that his employee is so rude her name is Gabby. She shouldn’t be in the cash register if she doesn’t know how to talk to customers. It was a simple mistake from both sides, which most people laughed about, but she’s so defensive that she had to use her pride because she didn’t wanna look stupid and be like you said the wrong thing.
For 18 years I have been enjoying bagels from Baker's Dozen. They have delicious salads and Arnold Palmer teas. The staff is friendly and attentive. A Kew Gardens gem.
I love Baker's Dozen, and always have, their prices are astronomically high - but they know they got the neighborhood by the ballz. I also miss the inside seating - Can you add that back and maybe put a time limit so people don't hog the space too long?
Great place to get fresh bagels and all sorts of goodies. Muffins are amazing, salads and fresh cut meats on your sandwich. Guys that work here are phenomenal, they learn your preferences after a few visits. I would recommend, just avoid the crowded times especially on Sunday mornings.
If you crave the traditional bagel options and you also like newer, hipper toppings this is where to go in the area. The bagels alone are a fair price and a great size. The staff is good and Brian is efficient on the register, also heath and safety conscious in operations.
This is by FAR my favorite bagel place in the area. I'm very hard on bagels so without more data I can't say all of queens, but it's plausible imo. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The bagels are always plump and delicious. Doughy and airy insides and made of just the right stuff these are top notch. My ONLY complaint about the place is that they do NOT have rye bagels. A lot of places don't but they all should. Pumpernickel, I'm sorry, isn't rye. I'm talking seeded rye bagels. They sometimes have them at Forest Hills Bagels which is also good but not as good as this. And Baker's Dozen delivers to me in Forest hills so that's amazing. Just a really solid place in general. Kew Garden's finest for sure!
Best bagel spot in the area. Always fresh and delicious!! We love their apple turnovers. The lines are long early in the morning. Tastes the bagels and you’ll know why- worth the wait.
This place was so amazing! There bagels taste so fresh and delicious. I try to go as much as I can to pick up either a really good sandwich or a nice hot fresh cup of coffee. Honestly one of my favorite places to go in the morning.I would 10/10 recommend going there because if you don’t your missing out on really good food. Also the staff there are super sweet and nice and get your food prepared perfect and ready fast.
This local business is doing great things. The roasted garlic bagel is maybe the best bagel I’ve ever had. They are pumping out bagels fresh all day. The cinnamon roll is outstanding and also so fresh. The staff is friendly, hardworking and efficient with orders. I can’t recommend this place enough.
I normally don’t leave reviews but had to given so many petty comments left by reviewers. You don’t give a shop 1 star because someone didn’t give the perfect customer service experience over your $5 order. That’s ridiculous. Sure, call it out, but that’s seriously damaging that has knock on effects to star ratings and business. Yes, the store should do better, but YOU do better too when doling out your stars. Anyhow, more importantly, the bagels. Lived in Manhattan most of the my adult life and relocated to FH/Kew Gardens recently. Bakers Dozen is the absolute real deal. These are phenomenally fresh bagels, the spreads are outstanding and pastries are also a hit, especially the muffins. This place easily holds its place among the best bagels in the city. I’ve always been impressed by the team who knock it out especially during peak rush. I also bring my kids with me who can be a handful running around but they’re incredibly kind and really deliver an outstanding product. Proud to have this shop in my backyard.
I can't believe I've been missing out on these incredible bagels at Baker's Dozen! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made my visit truly enjoyable. Their welcoming attitude instantly set the tone for a fantastic experience. Now, let's talk about those bagels - they are nothing short of amazing! Always fresh and perfectly baked, they're a real treat for the taste buds. I decided to try something a little unconventional - a lox bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Yes, it might sound unusual, but trust me, it's a delightful combination. The freshness of the lox paired with the sweet and creamy strawberry cream cheese was an unexpected delight. Baker's Dozen has won me over with their top-notch bagels and exceptional service. I'll definitely be returning for more of these delectable treats!
Bagels are amazing here. Staff is friendly and accommodating usually get the egg and cheese on a garlic bagel. I’m pretty satisfied with that. It’s not expensive either.
They got the best bagels I have ever eaten so far...still soft the next day. Taste is amazing. Great service. Spot is small and meant for orders to go.
Fantastic bagel store. Onion, garlic, everything bagels are tasty and they use good quality cream cheese. Their bacon egg and cheese is good and cheesy, also very well seasoned, but the bagel could be toasted a little more. The surprise food here however is the strawberry turnover, I never had anything like it. Flavorsome strawberry filling with real strawberries, flaky pastry with some icing. They should advertise this pastry more, it's really worth it and better than any bakery you can get a turnover from.
One of the top Bagels shops on this side of Queens. You might have to wait in line but they move pretty quick so the wait time isn't all that crazy. Soft bagels throughout the day. High recommend!!
Everyone has a best bagel spot and this one is Kew Gardens. They make the bagels fresh daily and they are absolutely incredible. I bring them in to Manhattan now cause my lab said they beat everyone else's in midtown. Definitely go here if you love bagels.
Grew up in Brooklyn, moved out of NYC in 87, back to visit many times and my in laws lived in Kew Gardens. They passed away 5 years ago but we still go back for these bagels when visiting my son in LI and daughter in Brooklyn. Had the “best” growing up in Flatbush but have to say this place gives the best of the 50s a run for the money and IMHO blows aways all those high end fancy places in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Their spreads and lox are also top notch. The only disappointment is when we go late and have to settle for some “old” bagels with limited selection. Plain, sesame and poppy are my favorite and go to
Great service, very friendly. The delivery staff is also amazing. Always a smile, great bagels and even accommodated me with an exception. In 8 years it's never been a disappointment.
Great bagels, always fresh and tasty!
I came in right when they were about to close, and the staff was super welcoming and kind. The bagels are absolutely delicious and their customer service made me want to come back in a heartbeat.
In my opinion, the best bagels in the city. They are much more affordable than Manhattan bagels, are consistently delicious and the staff is friendly. This is THE bagel place to go to in Kew Gardens and even if you’re in Forest Hills. There’s a reason the line goes down the street on weekends and early in the AM. Great sandwiches for lunch as well. The menu is extensive, not only to “create your own bagels” but also in spread and salad options. The tuna and chicken salad are also delicious. Bagels with cream cheese and lox here never disappoint. My favorite bagel shop in New York! Fresh and fluffy bagels. Generous filling. I recommend getting the bagels toasted if you plan to eat them right away.
This has been a long time favorite of mine for breakfast. The bagels and sandwiches are always good. The pastries are delicious especially the mini muffins. Good cup of coffee as well. A solid choice for a decent breakfast. Parking is rough with limited street parking. They are generally busy in the morning with a long line but the line does move fairly quickly.
I love these bagels!!! I even send them out of state cause they're just that good. The line can be a wait at times, wish they could move faster especially on Holy days so be prepared.
Great fluffy soft New York bagels, good variety of cream cheeses and spreads, and a bunch of other tasty stuff. F**k the haters and one star reviews, this place is legit. Just call ahead for pickup if you can’t wait 5-10 minutes for your food. Been coming here once a week for my bagel fix since I moved to Kew gardens and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
Great tasty bagels n fresh every day try one you'll love them .
Best Bagels in Kew Gardens! They make them fresh. More of a to go place than eat in.
After eating bagels here, I may be broken forever. NYC bagels are great, but these are amazing!! It is definately a neighborhood spot where everyone eventually ends up. I had a bagel with lox n cream cheese n fixins - perfect!! Lox was sliced thin, just like the onions. The staff obviously cares about what they do.
I've been coming here for 8 years because it is easily the best bagels in New York City which is why I made this short film for them: https://youtu.be/wQArBBtNGes?si=CXgH5BeDCEzLEe3M This place truly gives you an authentic, local New Yorker experience. The staff is always warm and friendly. The bagels are ALWAYS fresh and rolled daily. Be sure to check out the film to get an inside look on why I think it's the BEST bagels in NYC.
This place is a huge staple in the kew gardens area for a long time and they deserve it. They make their own bagels and baked goods and it smells amazing the second you walk in. Be careful, they have long lines at most hours but it's worth the wait! My go-to is toasted everything with cream cheese. They have like 10 different flavors of it if you into that kinda thing. Lots of sandwiches to choose from as well.
Absolutely delicious the best bagel I've had, I would definitely come again and will be very soon
I've been going here my whole life, the bagels are really really good.
The best bagels, flats, croissants and muffins in all of Queens. Bryan and his crew are superb!
Not usually the type to do reviews but I’m a truck driver and I traveled a lot and I usually stop to get food to restore my energy. In all the places I been too I never encounter such great costumer service like the one Laura gave me. From now on every time I come to New York you gonna see me eat in this place. Costumer service is everything and I appreciate it.
Stopped by this bagel shop recently and had a great experience. The food was really good, the staff were friendly, and the service was quick. The place has an old-school vibe that you don’t see much anymore, and the bagels are the real New York style—fresh, classic, and done right. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for a solid bagel and a good atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
This place genuinely has one of the best muffins I’ve ever had! Warm and airy apple muffin that I’ll never forget. Cucumber and dill cc on a sesame bagel really hit the spot for me. Will be coming back!
Authentic, amazing place a generation type place, Bagles and Muffins are freshly made in house, you can see it. Two of the most amazing and favorite creamcheese has been Dill Cucumber and Jalapeno CreamCheese are simply the best.
Absolutely delicious vegan options for someone who is lactose intolerant. The vegetable tofu cream cheese was spot on with the egg everything bagel. It was so good that I had to buy a separate 1/2 pound to go! 10/10 would get it again. It can get busy so be prepared to wait up to 15 minutes.
These are probably the best bagels I've ever had - and I'm a lifelong New Yorker! I live elsewhere now, but every time I come to New York, I go to Kew Gardens and get a dozen. Delicious!
The staff Missouri friendly and helpful the food was really good. The Bagles were hot fluffy on the inside. Crunchy on the outside.i ordered the special lox package - bagel, cream cheese, Nova Scotia lox, tomato, onions which was $15
Their bagels are so so good, and they do NOT hold back on the cream cheese. Iced coffee is great too. And it feels like a hometown place - I look forward to getting a bagel here anytime I’m in NYC
If you’re in the Kew Gardens area of queens, stop by bakers dozen and grab some freshly made bagels in house! A long time visitor to this shop whenever I am in the area and it’s a neighborhood gem. Go early to avoid long lines but well worth the wait I tries there the strawberry cream cheese spread recently and it was amazing. Go check it out and thank me later
Delicious food but consistency is important. I ordered the hungry man with turkey instead I received a sausage patty, no butter for my French toast, and my coffee.... All in all, they are by far the best in comparison to the other 2 deli by me. So just make sure everything is there before leaving and enjoy a delicious meal. 😋
This place is exactly what it says “on the tin”. An incredible selection of bagels. 🥯 The flavours, the sizes, the taste!!! 🔥 Absolutely beautiful 😍! Would definitely recommend for either breakfast or lunch or just because you’re hungry, but either way a good shout! Great friendly service to and good prices. Thank you for the “Bakers Dozen” experience. 💫
I’ve only visited this bagel place twice. My first order was an onion bagel with plain cream cheese and my second order was a lox and plain cream cheese on an everything bagel - amazing stuff I wish I could eat daily! I also ordered a 1/2 pound of the lox spread and bagels. I will definitely return for the tasty bagels and will try other things on the menu. Thank you for a pleasant experience!
This place is the real deal! I almost need to force myself to NOT go here every morning to save some calories but usually fail! The customer service is pretty good and the bagels them selves are great and they will make them how you want. I do however wish they had cheddar cheese bagels too but I understand quality over quantity. They also have a very large selection of drinks for purchase.
FRESH BABELS right out the oven & into the bag. Such a classic nyc staple. Reasonably priced and covid safe. Only limited people inside the store so be prepared to wait outside but it’s worth it. Credit card min is only $5. They sell all the classic bagels & have mini ones too. The workers are really nice.
Various bagel sandwiches and an array of sweets on display. We came in with a large order of sandwiches and coffees - a little bit of a wait, which was to be expected, but well worth it. Most of the group had rave reviews about their bagel, egg, and veggie breakfast sandwiches. I had the scallion cream cheese with lox on an everything bagel. The bagel was nice and soft inside even when toasted and the amount of salmon was surprisingly impressive.
Pretty decent cozy spot. Line get a little crazy at times but it's with the wait when they get to you and you receive you're order. The pastrys are one of the best and freshest I've ever had. The owner is very polite. Would definitely recommend this place for s classic bagel with anything you like.
Great place for bagels and classic NY style sandwiches. SEC and BEC on a roll are always my go to. Shout out to Rich, he’s always very welcoming, engaging and attentive to everyone walking in.
A very decent bagel place. They have top notch spreads and a good bagel. However you can find a bigger, softer bagel elsewhere in Queens. Must be clear about whether you want it toasted or not. Staff are very friendly and it's definitely worth coming back for.
Probably the best bagels I've ever had in my life. Their breakfast sandwiches are killer! The only complaint I have, is the guy who's always behind the register (at least when I've gone) likes to ignore customers and be down on his phone... mildly annoying and rude... learn to acknowledge your customers and not make them have to say "um.. hi, excuse me... to get your attention. Sad part is I have a feeling this is a manger or owner..
Bagels are awesome, but if I see the guy without glasses at the register, I won’t bother going in. With the other guy, I can just go straight to the register and get a bagel with nothing on it and run out, instead of waiting on the sandwich line for 5-10 minutes.
The bagels aren't soft enough..you need that consistent, crunchy outside, soft inside combo. The bagels aren't very juicy, so to speak..they do taste good when you toast them though, but bagels plus on main and Parsons has, in my opinion, far better bagels.i haven't tried anything else really, besides cold cuts, which weren't cut to my liking. So possibly a 3 and a half star bagel place..sorry for the negative feedback..just my personal opinion.
I do not know how people go here. Prices are ridiculous. $15 for a mid sandwich.
Bagels are good but prices have gotten a little crazy. $4.50 for a bagel toasted with peanut butter? When? If the bagel alone is $1.50, seems unreasonable to charge $3 for a little peanut butter. And when I double checked if the price was correct, the owner looked appalled that I would even question it.
Revising my 5 star down to 2 unfortunately. Lived in Kew for 7 years, and in that time, the quality of the bagels and amount of cream cheese per bagel has gone down, while the prices have gone up.
3 times in a row I came here ordered bagel with egg and salt, pepper, ketchup. They never put the salt pepper ketchup. It isn’t that difficult of an order to take.
I really wanted to love this place, as I was looking for a good bagel spot in the area and this looked promising. But I will definitely not be returning. Red flag #1: I asked for a bagel with 1/2 egg salad and 1/2 tuna salad. I've successfully ordered this at many other bagel places but here, I was told that I might as well get 2 separate bagels because I'll be charged for 2... How does that make ANY sense?? I offered to pay for whatever the more expensive filling was but after too many minutes of back and forth and trying to get a clear answer about a reasonable price, I gave up and went with a single filing. Reg flag #2: In addition to my bagel, I ordered one for my friend, and she has a known severe reaction to preservatives. (We stick to places with simple ingredients for this reason when we go out.) Her bagel simply had cream cheese, an egg, and lettuce/tomato... But needless to say, she had a severe reaction, including diarrhea about an hour after eating this (and this is the only thing she ate). She's had this same combination at other places with no problem, so I'm not sure what exactly they used in one of the ingredients but if you have any sensitivity to preservatives, I would stay away. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the bagels were pretty good. My egg salad was oddly over salted but the serving size was generous. Just wish I had a better experience overall.
I always order from here while the sandwiches are good the other items are not. I ordered WELL DONE has brown I get RAW. I’ve order home style potatoes before said well done and they were raw as well. I work on this side of town so to order my breakfast it be cold and nasty just made my morning even more difficult. I go to complain to the store and instead of getting my full sentence out I’m being talked over so I ask for the manager and HE WAS THE MANAGER. I’ve worked in food before and he did not handle it well. Future reference if your ordering check your food before you leave the store and before the delivery man walks away
Questioning the ethics here-- I used to order from Bakers Dozen quite often but have been left disappointed in recent months. Not only have they been raising their prices on all of their offerings but now they have been skimping on nearly everything by serving pseudo bagels. Instead of receiving a regular sized bagel, I was given a ridiculously thin bagel on one side. I don't believe this was an oversight because the staff making my bagel was well aware of what they were doing. I would like to add that several months ago I overheard the owner respond to a customer complaint regarding prices in a very cold and callous way. I heard him say out loud for everyone to hear "Well we don't want her business anyway" and while that may be true from his point of view, no one else needed to hear that. Let's please bring back honor and respect to paying customers instead of punishing them. Photo: top half is a bagel thin covered with cream cheese to hide the fact. Gonna start getting frozen bagels now lol.
Placed an order that included a Bacon Egg & Cheese on a Hero with Jalapeño this morning, but unfortunately the sandwich was cold (which is not the first time) and did not include cheese. While not an utter concern, it was a little frustrating to have the order messed up so I called up the Deli to hopefully get my sandwich replaced with the Cheese for the accidental mishap And this is where my 1 Star rating comes from - Calling the Deli back over 70+ times between a period of 3-45 minutes after the delivery (once I noticed the mistake) and there has been no answer to my calls. It sounded like the "phone is off the hook" dial tone This is not the first time I had trouble reaching this breakfast place, but it previously hae been "before" placing an order which is annoying but not as critical to the concern of a messed up order. I would not have left this review if the location had picked up so they could explain the error and hopefully apologize, but I could not even get that which is an entirely unprofessional business practice This practice should be something that is reviewed cause it is just not acceptable and definitely affects my willingness to order from here again Unfortunately while I do usually enjoy these breakfast sandwiches, I do have to alert others to this issue and do hope that others do not encounter such bad service
My husband and I always order from them or pick up. They do have great sandwiches when they don't get your order wrong. However, we've ordered and have had to wait over and hour several times. Yesterday we waited 2 hours and had already paid for our food. My husband called and was told it was out for delivery. After another hour he called and then went there in person because we didn't want cold or hard sandwiches after waiting over 2 hours. He picked up the sandwiches andbwe thought we were good. We called back today and they tell us they can only do pick up for us. Completely unprofessional for not owning up to their error. If you can't handle all your customers and services then don't do deliveries at all. That was completely disgusting and no matter how good they are I won't go back. A disgusting way to show how much you appreciate your loyal customers.
15 dollars for a wrap and there is no tuna in the wrap. This place is swindling people left and right. The bagels are getting more expensive and smaller by the year. Once upon a time it is to be good but I think the owners want to charge more and give less. Go anywhere else but this cheap hole.
I’ve been getting my bagels and breakfast from here for years, and today I stop. The bagels here are slightly better than a chain store’s, but the time it takes is ridiculous for the price. Inside the store is a small space for a short line of people that usually stretches outside the store every morning and lunch. If it’s bad weather, don’t bother waiting in line because it could be a hour to get from the door to the ordering counter. They don’t have enough staff or enough trained staff. The attitude of the entire staff is very relaxed and sluggish. I’ve never seen anyone actually try to be fast and efficient.
Let me start off by saying I’ve been coming to this place for years and I still love their food. It’s very consistent and fresh especially since they make new bagels every day. I’ve never had an issue with any of the workers. They’re very sweet and personable and just overall great energy. They hired a female worker a better part of a year ago. She’s actually the only female worker that’s currently there that serves bagels and everything. She has always been so rude to me and any of the females that I come with mind you were not problematic at all we just order our food and leave, I gave her the benefit of the doubt in my head. Maybe she’s having a bad day even though I am a manager of a very high demand restaurant and I know that no matter what I’m going through when I clock in nobody’s business or is anybody at fault for that but I do understand that not everyone has my way of thinking. I Went the other day and she gave me the biggest attitude ever and purposefully gave me the wrong order. I asked her for one thing she even wrote it down and gave me a whole completely different order and never really says hello or have a good day or anything she literally greets me like what do you want and when there’s male customers she’s always so sweet and personable, but she literally treats me and any of my Female friends, like we’re below her. In all my years of hospitality, I’ve never been treated this way, not even in fast food chains, such as chipotle. This is so beyond me I’m Strongly considering not coming back here because of her disgusting and unattractive attitude and I know for a fact, I’m not the only one that has experience this I don’t know what fuels her insecurity, but she is such a horrible representation of this amazing great tasting establishment. So if you’re a female, please don’t be attended by her. She also gives me dirty looks to me and my friends all the time when we get there, but we’re mature, even though we’re more than half her age and just give her respect even though she lacks to give us the same grace.
The bagels and staff are actually pretty good. I’ve been a regular for years. The biggest deterrent is the owner unfortunately who is unwelcoming and prides himself on being passive aggressive…while customers pay. Definitely won’t be going back. I would suggest any of the bagel places on Queens Blvd. Better bagels and service.
I placed an order through Grubhub for two items: a breakfast hero and 6 sesame bagles. I am only 6 minutes away, and I've been waiting over an hour and a half. I reached out to them, and the phone just kept ringing, so I called Grubhub, and they told me they were only a few minutes away. Oh, and they had the nerve to say the "weather was bad," which is grossly false. It is cold, but there are no inclement weather conditions whatsoever outside. The order just arrived, and it's cold. This is completely unacceptable and intolerable. I tipped these people $5 (I want my money back, but I won't get it, unfortunately). However, I can warn others of this catastrophe. I will not be ordering from here again, and I suggest you don't either.
At 11 am today, I just bought 2 chicken cutlet heros. I was intending to give a good review until I bit into a spoiled piece of chicken. The smell of it hit my nose as I bit into it. If you're going to hide rotten chicken in a sandwich, you should not be in business. I won't be coming here. If I get food poisoning when I'm pregnant the owner and employee should feel happy
Honestly I gave this place TOO MANY chances. They are training new employees which is understanding - but how many times must we accept our food not being taken seriously? There was no effort put into my sandwich it actually looks like they threw it together. I also specifically asked for mozzarella cheese but there is none lol
What is the story? I was charged 0.15 more per bagel because I asked for the bagels to be sliced and wrapped. The jerk at the counter even asked for a tip. Ridiculous! Crooks!
Not sure who the Caucasian women is but she is not only rude but incompetent. I was there in and placed my simple order. Bagel with cream cheese. This women brought every order up to the counter and said it was my order. Whelp, after numerous order that were not mine I just placed my drinks down, started to walk out and she called me to the counter with the correct order. This place is usually busy but they have never treated me with the pathetic excuse for customer service. They should bring back the men that run the counter. They have us in and out within minutes, not almost half an hour. Might have to start using the delivery app and have it delivered to my apartment.
