A "must visit" restaurant! I am a regular here, and the quality of food is always great. My mom has some dietary restrictions, and they do their best to accommodate. I recommend this place to friends, family, coworkers..pretty much anyone who asks for a good place to eat. This place is a gem.

Four of us stopped here for breakfast. I had the Chicken fried steak and eggs. It was absolutely wonderful. The gravey was good and eggs were perfectly cooked. My friend had an omelet that was also excellent. Service was outstanding and we will definitely be stopping here next time through.

Food was great. I like to eat diner breakfast food. It was lunch time but you can still order breakfast food. Service is always good food quality is also top notch.

When we came in the restaurant was almost full. Unfortunately, there were four employees who called in sick. Ronald was running around the restaurant shorthanded but with a smile on his face and a great attitude. It made up for the long wait for the food. Extremely clean restaurant and excellent food. Minus the wait time it would have been five stars on everything. Will be going back each time we head up to the Bay area. You should stop by, also. This place is run by a young man with a good heart. Great people, great restaurant.

We stoped on our way home from traveling and it was a great experience. Very clean, the manager was very friendly and the food was excellent. We shared an omelet and hashbrowns and they were fresh and delicious. Not greasy at all. If you need a place to stop try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Great food and service. The place didnt look like it was even open for business. The outdoor signs were in disrepair. We almost didn't go in at first. But glad we did. The food is delicious. Burger was perfect and fries crunchiest. The service was excellent. Next time we are in town we will be going here again. Great find.

Wow! What a surprise! This quaint unassuming place (they don't have a sign up yet with their name on it) had a surprise for us with a delicious breakfast for myself and my coworkers. We had regular eggs benedict, skirt steak benedict and biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs (looked very fluffy and not overcooked) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The Hollandaise sauce was very good, the eggs were poached correctly and while I would have liked a slightly larger portion of hash browns they were also prepared perfectly. The only negative was the water served at the table might need some filtering or new filters. The gentleman that served us was friendly. This place is really worth a try if you are driving by on the 101.

We were a party of 12 two-wheel and 3-wheel riders out for a ride this past Easter. Th service was GREAT!! When the food came out, the aromas made us all salivate. The food was amazing. We complimented the cook and told the staff that we will definitely come back again.一

We stopped in on a road trip from So Cal to Central Cal. The food and food presentation were top notch. The garlic fries were great! Our server and the owner were very friendly. What a great place and alternative to chain restaurants usually found along a highway. Best wishes to King City Grill from Dana and Suzi in Florida!

First time here, we drove through King City looking for a late breakfast. Pleasantly surprised by this great restaurant. Very friendly staff, remarkably good coffee and tasty food. Vegetarian eggs Benedict were so delicious! Highly recommend this place! We will definitely stop by here again on our next trip up north!

Stopped in today for the first time. Excellent! Fried were fantastic. Eggs Benedict very good - and nice variety. The portions are ample. My wife had the grilled Turkey sandwich on sourdough. Also very good. Couldn’t finish it. Nice service too

What a great find. It was breakfast on our the way down south and luckily the King City Grill was just one exit away with easy on/off freeway access. A large venue with a great menu. We had eggs benedicts with a very fresh fruit bowl in place of toast. The hollandaise sauce was lovely. And a standard breakfast that was anything but standard. Crispy home fries, perfect cooked over easy eggs and sausage that was not dry. Next time we’ll stop for lunch because those options looked yummy!

Greatest food in King City. The onion rings are the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. The Ronnie’s hamburger is fantastic, super juicy and delicious. Overall, awesome place and I’ll definitely be back.

Wow! What a find. Best breakfast I’ve had in eons—The Steinbeck Omelet— eggs/bacon—was perfect! Even the bit of avocado on top was at the perfect stage. Hashbrowns were great. Service welcoming and efficient! Made me wish I could come here regularly.

The presentation of the food, the quality, the customer service and the coffee it makes this place one of my favorite places of all time for a great breakfast. We will definitely come back when visiting the wineries of Paso Robles.

The place looks great! Looks newly remodeled with some nostalgic bar seating chairs. My family ordered Ed's burger with the fried egg, calamari steak sandwich, and 2 KCCs cheeseburgers. The meat patties were thick. We also ordered sweet potato tots (pretty sweet and crunchy), onion rings, and fries. Food was great, service was amazing. Super friendly staff. Very welcoming. I wish I had pictures to share but the food looked so good we jumped right in.

J

Ed's brunch burger was the best I've had. Garlic fries were addicting. Colleagues had chicken fried steak and an omelette - both raved about how good it was. Fresh brewed iced tea was a great pairing! I will definitely be returning whenever I pass by.

If you want the American Dinner feel, stop here ! The service is great, the food is delicious. The place is very clean, and the staff are very kind. We had a lovely chat with Ronald, the manager. Thank you for this lovely American lunch, it is just what we needed to refuel on our honeymoon road trip down the coast.

Surprisingly good food and very welcoming hosts. Their home made hollandaise source and benefits with home fries tasted great! And guava mimosas were poured very generously and tasted so good! Too bad we were driving.

I have been making the trek along 101 for decades, King City being mid-way between the Bay Area and the Santa Barbara area. At least 3 trips a year for about 35 years, so believe me when I say we’d pretty much given up hope on a decent lunch spot in these parts. Not a big fan of the fast food joints. I came across an article about the King City Grill and its young proprietor, Ronald Bonilla. Don’t be fooled by the humble exterior (it had been a Denny’s or something before falling into decay and abandoned for years) wedged between McDonald’s and a Motel 6. Inside, it’s a welcome change from the bleak highway, and Bonilla and his team are welcoming and warm. But it’s the food….. oh my. Bonilla’s menu is not overly long, but there is something for everybody, especially if you are a brunch fan. The ingredients are top shelf. We’ve eaten there twice now, I had the chef salad - absolutely wonderful. And the grilled turkey panini. My family tried eggs Benedict, vegetarian panini and the chicken Caesar salad. Raves all around. You know when most places give you turkey that tastes slightly chemical and rubbery? That stuff that comes from the factory? Well, Bonilla’s version is fresh, delicious, no hint of slimy chemicals. He also serves a tempting variety of eggs benedict and makes the hollandaise in house daily. The fries are heavenly, light and crisp. Don’t get me started on the onion rings. One of these days, maybe next week, I’ve got to give the fried Oreos a try. In Bonilla’s hands I’m pretty sure it’ll be great. These are the attention to details that make this place special. The ingredients, the care with which they are prepared and the design of the menu. Bonilla has worked hard to make this dream of his come true, and he deserves to see it thrive. So, do yourself a favor and stop in. This should be a destination spot, and not merely a stop along the highway.

I had heard about this diner from my younger sibling, whom heard about it from a fellow classmate of his, who had also only heard about it from someone else. Naturally, without having spoken to anybody who had actually eaten here, a great curiosity occupied my mind. I am from the King City area, and while the city is home to Denny's, the Cork and Plough, and Wild Horse cafe just a couple minutes South on the 101, neither of those place are comparable to this establishment by any means. From a more physical stand point, the setting of the diner is relatively modest and discreet. On the outside, it doesn't draw much attention. Upon stepping inside however I was blown away by the upscale yet cozy ambiance. The perfect lighting, the homey decor, and the overall layout; all of these things made me feel like I had just entered an establishment from a bigger city like Monterey or Paso Robles. You walk in and forget you're in a small agriculture town. I went in for breakfast and had their Chocolate French Toast. The plating was truly remarkable. The layout of the food was created with purpose, leading to me to take a longer look soley to admire the artistry. The food itself was to die for, and if it weren't for my schedule, I would have returned for lunch. Unfortunately, the only critique I have of this establishment is that I wish they would stay open in the evenings for dinner time. Overall, after finally visiting here, I truly believe I have found my new favorite place to eat. It is tucked away from arguably the more high traffic areas of King City, but is a genuine hidden treasure to say the least. Whether you need rest from traveling up and down highway 101, or a King City local looking to get transported to the Monterey Peninsula, King City Grill is the perfect place for all.

Excellent food, quick service, attention to detail, presentation, clean restaurant. We found this place passing through and it was worth the stop. Congratulations to Ronald, and his team, on their one year anniversary! Bypass tbr fast food in the area and give it a try! If we lived in the area, we’d be back!

Hidden gem! We stopped by on our way home to LA; the service and food were amazing and at very reasonable prices. We had the calamari steak, Gilroy fries, mozzarella panini and PBJ for the kids. Highly recommend stopping by!

C

The quality of the food was exceptional. The plating was fantastic. You can tell you’re eating professionally prepared food versus premade factory food. Do not be afraid of the outside appearance, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the wait time was a bit long (but that’s the trade off for exceptional quality because everything is homemade!) Overall, the service, food, taste, and atmosphere was great! I will definitely be going back for more!

K
Kristi Nakayama

Don’t let the exterior of this place fool you! The food, presentation and service were all surprisingly so good. I had the tomato/basil.mozzarella panini. My friends had the BLTA and Turkey burger and we all loved our meals. The fries and tater tots were also delicious. Please come support this spot. They were such lovely people. Ronald made our quick stop down the 101 from SF to Santa Barbara such an unexpected, delicious and fun pop in.

If you are in the vicinity, and especially if you need your Tesla charged, go quickly to check out this fantastic diner and brunch spot! Ronald and the super friendly welcoming staff have fun serving delicious dishes, all fresh ingredients with great flavors and custom touches from the kitchen like chipotle hollandaise sauce. We were also surprised by the owner with a très Leche cake at the end that was unbelievably indulgent - bravo on your 1 year anniversary and keep up the wonderful hospitality!

We've been coming to KC Grill for a little over a year now and every single time it is amazing. The staff is incredible, Ronald and Megan always make us feel so welcome and have the most sunshine attitudes. Food is incredible and so so delicious. I would definitely say this is the best place to eat in King City and my only complaint is that I wish they were open for dinner. Thank you!

h

This spot is legit! It’s not your typical roadside diner. Someone call Guy Fieri or something. They’re not just throwing “cliche” ingredients to popular breakfast and lunch items, the food is well crafted, rich in flavor and very well balanced. I can talk a few minutes moe about the food but all I’m going to say is I challenge you to find a better restaurant to eat at along the entire 101 fwy I would love to try it. Thanks Megan and crew! 🙏 it’s always a must stop for us when we’re driving through. Man, even the crisp on the fries hits different!. And place is super clean, plating is really appetizing, I’m going to stop talking now so I can get home

Wow, great place... food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the vibe is chill. The Vegetarian Eggs Benedict, I added bacon, were absolutely fantastic. The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy, and heck they even brought out some more of that? Hash browns were crispy and flavorful and fancy looking 👍🏽 The service is awesome. Thank you!

This place is a golden gem! The cafe was cutely decorated, the staff was very warm, friendly, and attentive, and the food! We ordered 2 different kinds of eggs Benedict, and not only was it DELICIOUS, it was PERFECT! The crispness of the hashbrowns, the hollandaise sauce, the perfectly poached eggs, and the vegetables with the Veggie Benny’s were amazing! We will definitely come back next time we’re driving through!

My husband and I looked for a restaurant to stop at to grab some lunch on a road trip that would help us avoid the typical fast food restaurants. I found King City Grill. It had good reviews, and what looked like some tasty options to grab for lunch. We are so glad we went! When I first entered the restaurant, I had to use the restroom, which was very clean, so I was already experiencing good vibes. The restaurant itself was very clean. It seemed full of locals who frequent their often due to the good food and atmosphere. We ordered a BLAT. The staff were kind, helpful, attentive, and hard working - mostly focusing on their customers' satisfaction from what I observed. The food was DELICIOUS!! I am bummed we live over an hour away and don't pass by too often, but they will remain on our go-to list when we are in the area.

J

Excellent service and food! We made a quick stop in for a late breakfast on our way south and had only a half hour total time to spare because of upcoming reservations at Hearst Castle. The employees were very accommodating of this and got our food out quickly and made sure we were well taken care of. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside is clean and quiet and comfortable. All of our food was really good but we especially loved their eggs Benedict.

H
Harry Baals

This place is better than Disneyland. They’re very nice, and the food was very very very good. Very good. I swear the strawberry chocolate pancakes are better than anything I’ve ever had. Hot chocolate is really good from here too, and it came in anniversary mugs that they let us keep. 5 stars, would recommend.

M
Mark Clayton

I ordered an Ed’s Burger. It came with lettuce, tomato, bacon, avocado and 1000 island dressing. Upon determine this would be too slippery and unstable to eat even two handed, I switched to knife and fork. The patty was cooked perfectly to my specification of medium the veggies seemed fresh enough to be from Salinas Valley farms right out the door. The accompanying fries were hot and crisp, with simple but flavor enhancing seasoning. With an iced tea to drink, I enjoyed the meal very much. The building and decor are pedestrian stucco, concrete tile roof on a pad site in the middle of a parking lot. The interior like a typical roadside grill. Attention to lighting and color could boost the aesthetic experience. The wait staff were very cheerful, courteous and attentive. I felt like they were all eager to please to the point that I felt like the polite thing to do was to keep asking for more tea, more napkins, and more service. They seemed to take pride in making guests feel welcome. I am happy with my choice on my drive to the Bay Area and would stop again.

Drove 5 hours to get here! It was so worth it! On our way from LA to San Fran to attend a wedding, decided to stop here for lunch and so glad we did! First of all, the owner and server were both such super nice, personable, and awesome people! I was ready to love this place even if the food was mediocre, but it was far from that! Everything was delicious and came out so perfect! Even the plating was impeccable! If Gordon Ramsay came to this restaurant, I think he would love it! If you're a savory person like me, I can't recommend the country fried steak enough! If you're a sweet person like my wife, you won't regret getting the Priou's Signature, which is a deep-fried French toast! I kept stealing bites from my wife. It was so good! I never wanna eat French toast again any other way! If you're anywhere near King City, you have to try this place! Made my wife and me look at housing in this area to see if we wanna move here, haha!

This diner has some of the best diner food. Very high quality. The chicken fried steak is house made. One of the servers there, Ronald, very personable and puts a lot of effort and care into his job. My wife and I just had an awesome breakfast at the King City Grill. Not only were the Eggs Benedict the best we’ve ever had but our server Megan not only was very attentive and had a great attitude. Great service from the start and amazing food to match. A nice little gem close to the camp grounds we are at for the week. Thank you! Picture is of the calamari steak sandwich and garlic fries. Fantastic gem with excellent food, great service and a cute atmosphere. Each booth had a fresh rose in a bud vase. Breakfast was the Original Eggs Benedict and The Gaul omelet, both delicious as was the coffee. Bathrooms with a couple rosebuds and nice soap that doesn’t dry out your skin. Well worth a stop for a great meal. If we’re ever through here again, we’ll be back.

Definitely, the best diner experience I've had. The service was very attentive, but not intrusive. They noticed when our drinks were getting low, and came over to refill without asked. Honestly, the servers seemed like they were trained by Michelin-star staff. The food was wonderful. I had the chicken fried steak, which was delicious. To share with the table, I got some onion rings and their sweet potato tots. The onion rings were perhaps the best I've ever had. We showed up 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday. No wait, several tables were still available. They didn't rush us or give us any impression that we needed to finish our meals quickly.

J

Ok... where do I start? The food was beyond delicious! You can tell that so much detail is put into the quality and flavor. The service was incredible. Served by the owner who took time to talk and why the flavor was so good. Atmosphere was so relaxing with French Soft Jazz playing and comfortable enjoyable seating. I only wish that I lived next door... Great Job!!!!

Amazing food and service in an unassuming building. This is not your typical diner. Deliciously prepared food, plated like a high-end restaurant. I had the oatmeal, served with fresh fruit, and my hubby had a Belgian waffle and a side of bacon. Both were incredible. (Yes, oatmeal can be good too!) The waffle was slightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, just like a Belgian waffle is supposed to be. We have been to many restaurants serving Belgian waffles that were hard. King City Grill knows how to prepare and present food which elevated the experience for us. And the service was absolutely excellent. Coffee was good as was the herbal tea (of which I was presented with a box of types to choose from). We will be back when we are in the area again. I highly recommend you give then a try too. (I promise, you won't be disappointed.😉) Oh, and they are only open from 8am to 2pm so don't miss out.

The poached eggs w/salmon, hashbrown and decaf were all excellent. I liked the mellow very-lite style rock music. Not the best picture (sorry).

M
Maria Tafoya

We were drawn in from our roadtrip by the great reviews and were not disappointed! All of the vegetables tasted incredibly fresh and I could see a crisp head of lettuce being chopped through the kitchen door opening so I know they take quality seriously. I can’t recommend the bacon wrapped dates enough, they were fabulous! The Cesar wrap was abundant and came with extra salad on the side. Not pictured: the gourmet Cobb salad that was plated beautifully but tasted too good to wait for a picture. Stop in if you’re passing by, definitely worth it! The bathrooms are also super clean and include amenities such as hand lotion and room spray.

Great food. Love stopping here since food is delicious, and service is friendly. I got the Monterey Peninsula eggs benedict. My husband asked for a spinach and Portabello mushroom omelet. They were fantastic. We like to come by whenever we are in the area.

Wow, this is a surprisingly cool place, driving up 101, wanted to have a sit down break. It’s conveniently located by the freeway exit. The burger was out of the world, the eggs Benedict was also very delicious. Presentation was superb, showing the attitude and attention to details. Has browns was perfectly done. Ed’s favorite is now my favorite burger! The outdoor sign was probably down by the recent storms, don’t be concerned, just go try it. Nice and comfortable inside. The owner/manger are a couple of friendly young guys, they told me the signs are going back up.

J
Jacklyn Hutton

The food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the Monterey Peninsula Benedict with turkey, sautéed mushrooms, avocado, two poached eggs with house hollandaise sauce. The eggs were poached perfectly, the English muffin still had a nice crisp to it. And my boyfriend got the country fried steak which he really enjoyed. All together this spot is a great stop. The atmosphere is great, the owner checks in with you, brings you your food, clears your table. He is a very thoughtful and wonderful human. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast or brunch. We can’t wait to come back!

Hands down, some of the best fries I’ve ever had! The BLAT and veggie pesto sandwiches are amazing! Shout out to the chef who also made this insanely good dessert! It reminded me of a doughnut or a churro. Cinnamon forward but not too sweet. Absolutely incredible! Such a great spot, honestly a hidden gem.

Ok... where do I start? The food was beyond delicious! You can tell that so much detail is put into the quality and flavor. The service was incredible. Served by the owner who took time to talk and why the flavor was so good. Atmosphere was so relaxing with French Soft Jazz playing and comfortable enjoyable seating. I only wish that I lived next door... Great Job!!!!

The poached eggs w/salmon, hashbrown and decaf were all excellent. I liked the mellow very-lite style rock music. Not the best picture (sorry).

To many good things to list. The food is great and the service is incredible. From the cooks, the servers, and management their always friendly This is our favorite weekly spot to visit with the kids. Ask about the coffee story and how rigorous the selection process was for the owner. Simply nothing but the best!

This was my third time stopping by, and once again it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the Benedicts and my husband got the Belgian waffles, both were delicious and totally worth the wait. Even though they were a bit understaffed during our visit, the team handled everything with care and the food came out great. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to!!

Popped in for breakfast. It was either here or Denny’s. So glad I chose to come here. I had the Steinbeck omelette, which was delicious. The hashbrowns were crispy, just like I love them. Service was excellent. Nice spot. Super clean restrooms. Will return when I pass again through town.

This diner has some of the best diner food. Very high quality. The chicken fried steak is house made. One of the servers there, Ronald, very personable and puts a lot of effort and care into his job. Much appreciated. Service was amazing and the food was great. We will be back next time we are going through this town. Don't miss this gem

Great place but don't be in a hurry. Takes them a while to get the food out whether busy or not.

Food was very good, surprisingly good for "the middle of nowhere" They need to improve their entry. It felt like they were closed. We were about to leave when the waitress came out to tell us they're open.

It is conveniently located right off the exit. There are lots of free parking spaces available for cars, not for trucks towing trailers. Huge bar seating with numerous tables from indoor dining. The servers were helpful and friendly. Menu was simple with limited choices. I ordered the steak benedict with home fries. The steak was rubbery and thin, more of a beef patty. Home fries was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. They have burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast food in their menu. They should open for dinner and not close at 2pm.

Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. The manager came to check on us as well at the end to gather feedback. The burger was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The bun was a good bread like a brioche. The calamari sandwich was delicious with fresh avocado. This will be our go-to restaurant for dinners in King City.

BE AWARE- small portions for the price. Service and the people working here are amazing. Food tasted great. BUT the portions and price for the portions are wild. $16 for this kids size skillet and didnt even include toast. Heard a different table "joking around" with the server about the size of the plate they received. Other than that it's good.

It's very easy to get to and parking is convenient. The interior is attractive, spotless and restful. The bathrooms are immaculate and sweet smelling. The quality of the ingredients is first class and plated very attractively. We stopped for lunch and I had a burger that was amazing. A little overpriced but all things considered it was good enough to overlook that aspect. But when we stopped by on another trip for breakfast....whoa, what a rip off. I had the breakfast skillet and it was tiny. You know those tiny cast iron fry pans you might use for a decoration or ash tray? That's what your order comes in. A little itty bit of egg, Itty bit of bacon and a generous portion of delicious caramelized onions. Supposedly there was portobello in there but darned if I saw any. My take; stop for lunch and have the amazing burger. But if you've got breakfast on your mind....... go somewhere else.

Visited in early October 2024 Starving after a site visit in King City area, we found this diner after seeing the standout reviews in GMap. Spoilers: they don't lie. In spite being a diner in the middle of nowhere, the dishes were all freshly-prepared and plated like that of higher-end restaurant. I usually don't eat big lunch and hence ordered the meaty omelette (served with potato pancake), which was pleasant and fluffy. Washed it down with a glass of root beer. According to my colleague, the Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection, which surprised her so much in a good way. The burger also looks yum, and the patty seemed to be grilled exactly to what my other colleague wanted. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. It was rather empty during our visit - the locals didn't start pouring in after we finished our meals. Oh and the male waiter was very attentive (without being too intrusive) and thoughtful - ensuring us to enjoy the whole experience. Perhaps the downside is that they don't have outdoor seating or patio - the fantastic Californian weather is too nice to be wasted..

Service and Staff Top Shelf! Food and presentation was outstanding, 5 Star Hotel Outstanding. 12 in our party, great service. Everyone’s food came out reasonably together and same time. At the counter was 3 mouth watering pecan pies. Store homemade. Had it set aside. However, a bit of a bitter taste when I realized I had purchased the pie first a cost of $40.00, and 2 others in the group as well. $40.00 for a pie! Even pies just out of the oven at Gizdich in Watsonville are only $15-17

Whenever we're in King City we make it a point to stop in the KC Grill for breakfast or lunch. Don't let the simplicity of the external/interior fool you, this place is a gem. The owner & staff are very friendly, and the food is delicious and thoughtfully plated. The pumpkin-pecan pancakes were a balanced blend of sweet & savory. The Ronnie's Burger with the grilled mushrooms was cooked perfectly. The Pesto Chicken Sandwich was juicy & perfectly matched with the multi-grain bread. The fries are well seasoned & they give you just the right amount. Give it a try!

Cute place. We were all pleasantly surprised walking in to this Motel-type diner. We had a party of 14. It took us an hour to get our food. We were all getting a hangry by the time the food came. This was the only downside to our experience. The food was simple, but tasty and well done. I ordered the Dates appetizer, a little pricey for just 4 dates, $14, but delicious, (plus I was starving). Original Eggs Benedict - the poached eggs were perfectly poached, props for that and the house potatos were very tasty, with a cajun or Old bay flavoring. The turkey melt could have used some extra condiments to add some flavor. Biscuits and Gravy was good, the Eds Burger was good, but messy. The staff redeemed themselves with their friendliness. They were friendly from the beginning. Because of this, the slowness was forgiven. Party of 14, 5 of them Kids, $380 total.

Service was great and atmosphere, food ok but very over priced. I have had way bigger portions for less money. Ok, will I go back not really. One plate was $25 and was puzzled when it got to the table cause it was not worth that much.

We stopped for lunch on a Sunday. It was a little busy but most people already had their food when we walked in. We waited about 5 minutes before they noticed ua and we were seated. Then we just sat there for 10 min or so before the manager took our drink & food order. We ordered a sandwich and burger, each $20. Nothing fancy. It took almost 40 minutes to get our order. The fries were terrible, burger wasn't cooked properly in a few places but the sandwich was good. Then they cleared our plates and we finally gave up waiting on the check and went to the front to figure out the bill. Not worth the wait or the price. No one was unfriendly but no one was friendly either. **Update after Manager Response: The idea wasn't a refund but I appreciate Management being on top of their reviews and maybe the staff was just having an off day. The sandwich/onion rings were delicious and I can't fault them. We didn't say anything because we were running out of time to eat and were worried about how long it would take to get round 2. Either way, thank you for responding.

Arrived here on end of year during a road trip, expecting some great lunch as the reviews would suggest. Took 35 mins to make me a chocolate, and close to an hour to get the food. We ordered Panini and Breakfast Skillet - skillet was okay but I expected two strips of bacon instead of diced ones and with very little cheese. The Panini was more like white toast and cost 16+ with fries. I regretted not going to McDonalds or KFC nearby thinking I could support local business. Well, you’ve been warned.

We were full of excitement to try this place out after looking at the reviews. The first thing that threw us off was the front door greeter (tall girl) who didn't care to waste her energy to guide us to our table. (Just points it out). She wasn't doing anything else, so I didn't see any reason why she would't guide us. Moving on... after placing our order we observe the manager doing check-in rounds to tables that only had food out. (Didn't check in with us) After an 1hr long wait, with no one checking in on us for drink refill or just in general, we finally get 1/2 plates. It was esthetically presentable, but the waffles and the side dishes were cold. 🥲😆 The girl who delivered the dishes was kind enough to check in with the remaining dishes, and we finally got everything. No one apologized for the neglected services. 🙃😭 We decided to go to the front to pay for the meal instead of waiting for another hr 🤣 and request a discount. The manager seemed to not care enough to check-in with us to ask about the discounted request and simply provided a sad discount. Hahaha 😆 Well, at this point, we were already over the whole experience and just wanted to leave. To summarize it, the whole experience was a letdown and, sadly, not worth $$$ for 2. Oh well! -Karen lol 😆 😂

This is the slowest diner ever - we waited for almost an hour for 3 dishes (pancake, Benedict and fried steak) not even that hard to make. Won’t recommend to anyone who’s not in the mood to wait for an hour for mediocre food.

Terrible overpriced breakfast sandwich and turkey sandwich. We stopped here on our way out to Pinnacles and we couldn’t even force down the food on our drive to the park. We went on a 6 mile hike without eating before. Sad, greasy, tiny sandwiches - and the kicker - $50 for 2 small sandos. The prices were higher than the online menu stated. We ate at 3 other places in King City. All were great. This place was terrible and a rip off. Waitress was nice tho.

My family and I were really excited to try this restaurant, as we’ve been waiting for the right time since moving here. The place itself is very nice—clean, tidy, and welcoming. Unfortunately, it seems like we may have come in on an off day. The food wasn’t quite what we expected. We were hoping for larger portions and better quality. For example, the sandwich reminded us of something from a diner like Denny’s, and it came with a basket of fries that looked like only about five fries total. For the price, it just didn’t feel like the best value. That being said, we might give it another try in the future and order something different.
