I have been going here for years and they have a cashier that been there for year(sorry I don’t know her name) but she’s is the sweetest and friendliest! They also having amazing food!
Got the rare steak pho and it was delicious. The Vietnamese egg rolls and crab rangoons were too. Love that its counter service as well. Will definitely be back!
Everything that we ordered was fresh and delicious. Came in an this place looks clean. Staff is friendly and courteous. Came in on a date with my wife an didn't disappoint. We got the combination Pho, that came with steak, pork an brisket. Got extra noodles also. Everything was fresh an amazing. Also ordered the grilled beef Bánh Mi wich, wife really liked it! Definitely coming back for more!!
I wish they still had vegetarian broth with their vegetarian pho but there's still plenty of other vegan options. Very yummy comfort vietnamese food. They also have boba!
The food is great! Only reason im leaving a 4 is because their online menu prices are incorrect. Almost every sandwich is $3 more than labeled online. The other entrees are also incorrectly priced. When I told them the cashier told me "they dont have access to their website". But yeah, the food is great, definitely will eat there again!
First time was perfect good food. This last time disappointed, because chicken noodle soup was so poor in chicken and noodles.
This was our favorite place but few things have changed over years and this week decided it was my last visit. We drive further out because it was a perfect spot. The food is still delicious. It’s just the construction to park but then we had waiter that sighed when kindly asked for a relish side for my meal. The relish tasted like it had soap on it, it was nasty. The prices have went up , like $10 more. So with those three things…we decided not to return. I didn’t mention it on my way out, why bother, from other comments heard owner bans you anyway if you complain about anything 🤣. One thing I can say was the cashier is always very friendly..but just not worth the drive anymore!
Pros: only Vietnamese restaurant in Kingwood/Porter, good service, decent menu variety Cons: food is not good, not much parking The pho tastes like it was made from canned soup they got from the Kroger across the street. The Bahn mi were edible, but not great. Their spring rolls were hard and way too chewy. And the boba in my milk tea tasted like it was uncooked. If you are desperate for Vietnamese in Kingwood/Porter, this is edible, but it's not good. I've eaten Vietnamese all over Greater Houston, and this has got to be the worst I've ever had; again, edible, but not good.
I usually come here for pho which has always been good. My husband tried the chicken rice plate once and loved it: plenty of meat, veggies and rice. The last 2 times we have come here, we have both ordered the chicken rice plate and there is barely any chicken. How can you call it a chicken rice plate and charge $11 per plate for a tiny amount of chicken? Unfortunately I do not think I will be back because of this even though the food tastes good. (To go order at 430pm on a Thursday)
I have been coming here since they opened. Closest place to my house and workplace that has bahn mis. I love bahn mis so I’ve gone here a lot over the years. Employees are nice but, as time has gone on, they have raised prices and at the same time cut the amount of meat put in the sandwiches. Very mediocre at this point. I don’t mind paying more - but a single layer of thinly sliced pork is not enough to taste the meat, nor is it what I get from any other restaurant that sells bahn mis. I also shouldn’t have to order extra meat in order to receive a normal amount of meat on my sandwich. Some bites have no meat at all! Wasn’t always like this. Every visit has me less-impressed.
The soup was alright. The broth was not very flavorful. It had meatballs in it, which were not fresh. They were rubbery, which tells me they were previously frozen; the other meat was okay. The feud egg roll is served w/ a piece of lettuce & julienned carrots w/a clear sweet dipping sauce. For $13.95 I got soup, drink & fried egg roll. Would I go again? Yes, but would like to try their fried rice meals. They closed at 8:00 pm, we went at 7:00 pm.
Please explain how this place has such a good rating. TERRIBLE..... over priced and serving size is mediocre my 5 year old stayed hungry from a $12 small pho... the bahn mi had about 5 slices of pork and the cheese puffs tasted stale. The combination pho was half the plate with 3 slices of beef and 4 halfed meat balls. The only okay thing was the Thai tea. Other than that this was the worst experience.
How can this place have a 4.5 star rating when they are serving carniceria meat? And the worst kind! I ordered a lemongrass beef vermicelli bowl and what I got had no lemongrass taste whatsoever. I was able to spot the distinct cheap, over seasoned, tough, rough flavor of cheap carniceria meat . I took one bite and left. I will never return to this place again. There was no real Vietnamese flavor to that bowl. Disgusting! The rolls had fishy flavored shrimp and that is a wrap. Not the kind I want to ever experience again!
⭐ 1 Star Misleading Advertising – This Is NOT Vegetarian Pho I drove a long distance specifically because this restaurant advertises “vegetarian pho.” As someone who does not eat meat, accuracy in labeling matters. Unfortunately, the description here is not just inaccurate—it is materially misleading. The so-called “vegetarian” pho is made with animal-based broth (chicken, beef, or pork). That fact was only disclosed after ordering questions were asked, and it directly contradicts the plain meaning of the term vegetarian. A vegetarian item cannot, under any reasonable definition, contain carcass-derived stock. From a consumer-protection standpoint, this is a textbook example of false or deceptive advertising. When a restaurant represents a dish as vegetarian, the customer has the right to rely on that statement without needing to cross-examine the staff. Many consumers choose vegetarian foods for health, ethical, or religious reasons—none of which are compatible with an animal-based broth. Had the menu accurately stated “vegetables with meat broth,” I would never have driven out of my way to come here. Instead, I wasted my time and left without being able to order what was advertised. For anyone who truly needs vegetarian options, be aware: the pho here is not vegetarian in any meaningful or accepted definition.
Me and my family always visit here at least once a month for the past 3 years! Today I was really looking forward to my meal here, but I ended up disappointed. I paid extra for additional meat in our sandwich , but none was added. It’s frustrating to be charged for something you don’t receive, especially when it’s done multiple times! The flavors were decent, but not enough to make up for the mistake. I hope the restaurant pays closer attention to orders in the future, because accuracy really matters — especially when customers are paying extra. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I’m not sure I’d return.
We have been a customer for almost 3 years now and we have always loved their food. I have recommended their food to many of my coworkers and family. Today we had two issues that made us change our mind about the restaurant. First issue we had was with their Lean Brisket Pho bowl. The meat had more fat than meat. We asked to get something else instead and the manager/owner came to talk to us about it and suggest that we ask for “lean only” next time with no fat and then they gave us a small bowl with their “Rare Meat Pho”. We agree to her suggestion and thought she was right about asked for lean meat only but who would’ve thought about that anyways when they’re hungry right? Second issue was that the small bowl they served had a hair around an onion. We notified them again and told the cashier that we just wanted them to be aware. She grabbed a little plate we had with the hair on it to bring it back to the kitchen and show her manager/owner and then came back to ask what we wanted to do. I asked her kindly just to get the Pho bowl money refunded. She told me to meet her at the register and while I was getting my refund the manager/owner approached me and said “MAKE SURE YOU DON’T COME BACK INTO MY STORE YOU’RE TOO MUCH PROBLEM”. I didn’t argue anything back because we are not the problematic type of people so I kindly said “Ok thank you ma’am” got my refund and left with my wife. These are the type of issues that cause customers to get turned away. Lack of professionalism, cleanliness and customer service. And no ma’am I will make sure that I don’t come back and will make sure to inform others about this particular issue to prevent them from going through what you made us experience. Good luck with your restaurant!
