Great overall experience! Staff are welcoming and attentive. Food is delicious offers a great variety on the menu as well decent plate proportion sizes. Restaurant is beautiful inside, with a unique seating patio outside as well as kept clean, neat and tidy. The menu is great overall but a huge favorite is the brunch menu - highly recommend! Love this restaurant and is an pall seasons kind of place that is fun in the summer as well as the fall.

What an incredible experience! From the atmosphere to the service and the food and drink presentation…I felt like I got a full dining experience. All of the ingredients were fresh. I definitely recommend the deviled eggs, the yam fries (the gold sauce…OMG!) , arugula salad, oysters, and wings. I obviously could not just pick one item to eat. I very much love a good presentation for food and beverage and Sparrow delivers. I live in Tacoma and would easily drive to dine here any day of the week. Thank you Gabby and Lyndsey for great service! 10/10 recommend.

Food was average, maybe slightly above. I might’ve rated the food five stars however the price to value ratio is slightly off. This restaurant has higher prices than most in the area and the portions are small. Wings were dry and overdone. Deviled eggs were tasty. The pork chop was over sauced. The Caesar salad salad was excellent. However, the staff and ambience made up for it. Our server was fantastic! The back patio is a tranquil setting ideal for a date or business meeting. I definitely recommend a visit.

Had a very tasty brunch here! Seating was comfortable and the space was nice. They have outdoor seating too. I enjoyed the smoked salmon puff pastry with scrambled eggs. The puff pastry was in great quality and I appreciated the recommendation by our server. They did forget the avocado on one of our meals, but we had a good time overall. On the more expensive end though.

My team and I visited Sparrow for a business dinner and I loved the atmosphere and vibe. The food was delicious and fresh, and our waiter was excellent and very attentive. I ordered the duck with potatoes and it was delicious!

When the atmosphere wraps around you and the food delivers, it’s basically a perfect little bubble in time. The kind of place you want to mentally bookmark forever. Sparrow thank you for the delicious dinners and brunch!

It was our first time in Kirkland, and we decided to try Sparrow after seeing all the great reviews—it did not disappoint. The place is stunning both inside and out, and since the weather was perfect, we chose to sit on the patio, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We had the halibut and the duck—both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared the banana pudding, which was heavenly. The Negroni and Fancy Feather cocktails were also exceptional. Truly a top-notch dining experience that we’ll remember. Highly recommended!

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is something special. The bartenders are absolute rockstars—not only skilled and knowledgeable but genuinely welcoming. Their craft cocktails were perfectly balanced, creatively presented, and tailored to our tastes without even having to ask. It’s rare to find that kind of intuition behind the bar. The service across the board was impeccable. Attentive without being overbearing, every staff member made us feel like VIPs. Whether it was a quick refill, a thoughtful recommendation, or just their upbeat energy, they elevated the entire experience. The menu is another standout. With specialized food options that cater to a variety of dietary needs and preferences, it’s clear that care and creativity go into every dish. From bold flavors to beautiful presentation, everything we tried was outstanding—and clearly crafted with quality ingredients and attention to detail. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on every level—from drinks and dishes to service and atmosphere—this is it. Truly top-notch. Can’t wait to come back

I've been coming to Sparrow for many moons now, ever since it transitioned from the beloved Juanita Pub. Initially, I'll admit I felt a pang of disappointment at the pub's closure, but Sparrow quickly won me over and transformed my apprehension into sheer joy. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Kirkland, Sparrow is the perfect oasis for those seeking a unique dining experience. The ambience here is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for everything from casual brunches to celebratory dinners. For those moments when we want to celebrate life’s milestones, Sparrow has become our go-to destination; it truly captures the essence of what dining out should feel like. We love Sparrow, and I know you will too!

First off, Ivan was awesome and very considerate moving people around to avoid the hot sun and still meeting all my requests while doing so. I ordered the Brunch Board and a bottle of mimosa fresh squeezed and bubbly from Flama D’Or cava. The board arrived with fig jam yoghurt sockeye salmon berries prosciutto and deviled eggs and it felt elegant but chill. Staff were warm and chatty and the ambient deer‑moss wall with dim lighting made brunch feel like a cozy Pacific Northwest love letter with a smirk. I left wondering if Kirkland finally got what Seattle feels like.

Thank you for making our experience the best. Chocolate Flourless cake was amazing. The jam and berries made it better. We loved the guajillo chicken. The dish was perfect for 2. Delicious.

I had the crab and shrimp salad, fresh bread, chicken wings everything wàs delicious. Excellent service and close to Juanita Beach.

Such a cute find! This place is cute and modern with living walls inside and out. They were open for brunch at 11 and is a great spot for girl time, dude time or me time. We were seated on the well appointed and heated patio with nature meets brunch, indoor/outdoor vibe. Ivan was our host and our server and also an absolute delight. Even in a summer downpour, the patio was cozy and cute. We ordered an americano, espresso martini, lamb queso-birria tacos and the brunch board. The tacos were amazing and the brunch board had a little bit of everything. Ivan was serving everyone on the patio but still managed to make us feel attended to! Definitely warrants a second visit.

The food was okay, not quite as good as I expected. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, and the service was friendly and kind. However, everything was very slow. We waited about an hour for our order.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our visit to Sparrow was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance captures the Pacific Northwest's essence perfectly, offering a warm and inviting setting. We asked for a martini, and Peter, our bartender, went above and beyond. He inquired if we preferred vodka or gin and then asked if we wanted earthy, floral, or dry gin flavors. His deep knowledge of mixology was impressive. We opted for dirty gin martinis with three olives, and Peter's expertise ensured they were perfectly crafted. His attentive and friendly demeanor made our evening truly memorable. Sparrow is a gem in Kirkland, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-tier dining and cocktail experience.

We did the Thanksgiving dinner at Sparrow and it was absolutely wonderful. Our server, Michael, was amazing and attentive. The menu was a four course deal with four options for each course and everything was so good. We loved it so much we came back for brunch on Sunday. Highly recommend!

If I could give more than 5 ⭐️, I would! Our experience at this restaurant completely exceeded our expectations thanks to the stellar service, delectable food, and intimate dining atmosphere. Our order: 5 ⭐️ Extra Creamy Mac & Cheese 5 ⭐️ Sausage Eggplant Parmigiana 5 ⭐️ Guajillo Chicken 5 ⭐️ Hawaiian Swordfish 5 ⭐️ Crème Brulé 5 ⭐️ A Path In The Wild (Non-Alcoholic) 5 ⭐️ Basilton (Non- Alcoholic) What made this experience particularly special was the server’s outgoing enthusiasm in providing us with a photoshoot around the restaurant’s decorative walls. Thank you for making this a truly memorable evening!

SO GRATEFUL that Sparrow exists. This is our go to spot now without question for a date dinner or just a weekday dinner when we don't feel like cooking. We've been three times since they've opened and got different things each time. Everything has been fantastic. The cocktails are also thoughtful and really good, fairly priced as well. The outdoor space is ample and isn't in full sun in the evening which is nice. The only minor point of criticism (and I feel old saying this) is that the music can be weirdly loud in the bar area. I love the music but sometimes it is just a little loud. :P

My husband and I have been here a few times. The servers are excellent. The ambience is so nice. The cocktails are delicious, we are obsessed with the steak sandwich. They leave us feeling welcomed, fed and happy. Highly recommend it!

There were 6 of us, friends, getting together for dinner on St Patrick’s day. Sydney was our awesome server. The bar was awesome. Drinks were exceptionally tasty. Big selection of whiskey and amaros. House made dehydrated citrus garnish was sublime. The food was great . We shared appetizers (lamb birria and spicy tuna tartar are a must)… I should say the food WAS great - the photos are depicting plates two minutes after they were placed in front of us- THAT GREAT! We ordered Zucchini “spaghetti” with grilled portobello and goat cheese on the side - fantastic. Scallops with pork belly and polenta, very good (I would have liked pork belly having a bit more flavor to counter scallops) We will be back to try the ribs (which were not available today). Great place, great service!

Came across sparrow on Instagram and I have to say it’s definitely worth a visit. The vibes are amazing, clean, vibey, and super chill. Very cool spot to go out on a date. The service was exceptional with the servers coming in to check on you multiple times. In terms of the food it was good but not great. The Avocado Burrata was good but lacked some seasoning, Mac and cheese was delicious and the steak was overall pretty good. I have to say I was really disappointed by the mashed potatoes and the fact that I still had tendon left on my steak. We capped off our night with a delicious dessert which I highly recommend. Overall I’d give this place a 4.5/5 and would come again.

*Brunch Review* The food and service were excellent 👌🏽 I highly recommend having them add crab to the Sparrow burger 🍔🦀 🐶 The restaurant is dog friendly which was such a treat! There were so many sweet dogs there.

I loved the lamb quesa-birria tacos. Super tasty. The crab avocado toast was yummy as well. Came here for my best friends birthday brunch, and they were very friendly with their service just super slow.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review for Sparrow in Kirkland Sparrow is an absolute gem in Kirkland! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The cocktails are simply top-notch—balanced, creative, and absolutely delicious. The food is equally exceptional, but the highlight for us had to be the wagyu steak bites. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and absolutely addictive—they’re a must-try! The service was another standout. Ryan, our server, was attentive, friendly, and truly made the evening special with his amazing recommendations and warm personality. And to top it all off, the owner, came by to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our meal. You can tell that there’s so much care and passion poured into every detail here. If you’re looking for incredible food, stellar cocktails, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, Sparrow is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back! PS: I wish I took a picture of the wagyu bites but I ate them too fast.

Highly recommend this spot. Everything is great but my review and recommendation right now is for your holiday private events. We hosted my daughter’s baptism and it was just amazing and smooth from setting things up. The staff is super accommodating and the service is amazing. 10/10 for ambience, service and food

Sparrow has quickly become my absolute favorite restaurant. I’ve been coming here for the past couple of months and every single visit has been consistently amazing. The food is outstanding. You can tell there’s real care in the menu and the execution. The craft cocktails are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. Their margarita is exceptional and perfectly balanced. Not overly sweet, not too tart, just done right. What really sets Sparrow apart for me is how incredible they are with gluten-free options. As someone who eats gluten-free, it’s rare to walk into a restaurant and feel like you can truly enjoy the menu without settling. Here, there’s so much to choose from. I can actually have things that are usually off limits, like wings, fries, and even a chicken sandwich, without feeling like I’m missing out. That alone makes this place special. The waitstaff is always warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. You never feel rushed, and they make you feel taken care of. If you’re looking for amazing food, thoughtful gluten-free options, and top-tier cocktails, Sparrow is it. I can’t recommend it enough.

5/5 Stars – Exceptional Service! Sparrow was the perfect choice for our girls' night! We showed up without a reservation, but Jade went absolutely above and beyond to squeeze us in and save our evening. Once we were seated, Anais took amazing care of us. She was so attentive and made sure our night was seamless. Huge thanks to both of them for the incredible hospitality. We’ll definitely be back! Quick Stats: Occasion: Girls' Night Out Service: 10/10 (Ask for Jade or Anais!) Vibe: Trendy, accommodating and Hands down for really good food.

My girlfriend and I randomly stopped into Sparrow one night and ended up loving it. The vibe was on point, relaxed but still upscale and the food was top tier. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly, and the drinks were honestly some of the best we’ve had in the area. What really made the experience stand out was our server, Michael. Super friendly, attentive, and just genuinely made the night better. We liked it so much that we came back again on New Year’s Eve for their four-course dinner with live music, and it did not disappoint. Same great atmosphere, great food, and Michael remembered us and took care of us again, which made the night even better. If you’re looking for a great date spot or just a place with good energy, great food, and high-quality service, this is it. Definitely a hidden gem in Kirkland. Highly recommend.

Went with a group. Food was excellent as was the service. Rita was awesome and attentive. Fast service even though they seemed quite busy. One tiny setback was the noise level with live music. We were actually attending a small lecture and had difficulty hearing our speaker for most of the talk. Otherwise, everything was great. Thank you!

Ivan was a fantastic server! He was attentive and kind, the food came out quickly, and everything was delicious. We both ordered steak and both were cooked exactly how we wanted. We don't get to have very many date nights, so this was a perfect little treat with only good vibes. They do have a kid's menu, though, so we will definitely be back again.

We went for Seattle Restaurant Week. We had a memorable meal with impeccable service. The truffle deviled eggs first course was outstanding. My wife had swordfish, I had waggyu beef, both were amazing. Best service in a long while. The atmosphere was 4 star rather than 5 due to noise level. There was live music and a slightly rowdy crowd in the bar.

M
Maneesh J

The highlight of the meal was the bread pudding, easily one of the best I have had. The burrata dish was just alright, and the texture did not feel like true burrata. The other dishes were flavorful but nothing extraordinary for the prices. Service was very good, and I loved the location and atmosphere. A perfect spot for date nights, with plenty of parking available.

Slow service on Xmas but me and my bf enjoyed the desserts ( fried doughnuts & the coconut sorbet with the chocolate syrup and condensed milk ) and the steak came out super rare 😭 we wanted rib eye that’s medium well and medium rare, then for the seatings was ok. The bathroom was ok. The light dimming atmosphere was good 🩷 the fresh orange juice was ok. My bf got the root beer w sugar cane was ok too. The winter salad was fun to eat and interesting to try that’s fruits and arugula which it is little bitter. The wait took a while each course was frustrating but besides that I’ll give it a generous 4 star ☺️

The back area of the restaurant was cool. Took them a few to get us seated. The bartender saw us waiting and didn't bother to get the hostess. But our server was great. Food was decent. We had brunch. Pricey for what was served. I would like to try dinner though. Fun spot for a girlfriends outing/dinner.

We went to Sparrow for the first time during Seattle restaurant week and had a great night there. They have a small parking lot on site but there is a commercial property right next to the restaurant and allows restaurant customers to park there after 5 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends so parking really isn’t a problem if you go there for dinner. Our server was Ryan and he was great, energetic, checking in us just the right amount. We ordered from the Seattle restaurant price fixed menu along with spicy guacamole from their regular menu. The food was good. Their price point is also just right so it was good value without sacrificing taste. I didn’t pay attention to their regular menu price to say if that is also true. Some improvements they could make in their food such as the sea scallops we had. It was a little overcooked and became a bit chewy. Overall I would say this is a great place to visit and we plan to visit again for brunch in the near future.

The Sparrow is a cozy, modern brunch spot tucked away in a quiet location, offering a serene atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The service here was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff enhancing the overall experience. The food, while good, is on the pricier side for what it is. We tried the French toast and the biscuit. The French toast, though delicious, was a single piece and not very generous in portion. We were glad we ordered some additional sides to round out the meal. One of the highlights of The Sparrow is the ambiance. You have the option to sit in their lovely garden, which adds to the charm of the place. Overall, The Sparrow provides a pleasant dining experience with great service and a cozy atmosphere, though be prepared for slightly higher prices and smaller portions.

Good service. Went in for happy hour and the cocktails were spot on. Two out of the three shareables we ordered - Spicy tuna tartare and the Lamb Birria Tacos were delicious! The eggplant dish was too greasy to finish. The place is quite pricey but happy hour is probably worth it. Note: Cocktails are not on happy hour but draft beers and wines are.

D
Denise Tanaka

Sparrow was pretty much what I expected—gorgeous space with a menu that’s all over the place. It’s American cuisine and it seems like they’re trying to please everyone, which makes the menu feel a bit disconnected. If you're craving tacos, tartare, marrow bone, and a burger all in one sitting, they’ve got you covered, but it doesn't really come together flavor-wise. The food is well plated. The ambiance is definitely the highlight, but the food was just okay, and the prices are on the high side—probably due to the location. The cocktails looked stunning, though the taste didn’t quite match the presentation. Overall, it’s more of a vibe spot than a food destination. It's a good place to take a date.

I went to eat here on Friday and today. The service is great. But the food needs help. Not very tasty at all. I was with my boyfriend Friday and he said he wouldn't come back (except to try the banana bread pudding). Then tonight my girlfriend said the food wasn't really good. But we did order the banana bread pudding tonight and that was very very good. I would come back for that. For some reason there were constant fruit flies flying all around us. I killed 2 of them! I know this place only opened up 2 months ago. So I'll give them another chance. But honestly the food needs a little help.

The food was not the greatest on the day we went. Service was poor. The waitress did not come back to ensure our drinks were full and we never got 1 refill. Atmosphere is nice and clean.

B
Brooke Penaloza

The service was good. Went for my husband's birthday, he ordered the ribeye. The waiter came out to inform us it was cooked incorrectly so they are cooking a new one. Asked the rest of us if we wanted our food now or to wait, naturally we wanted to wait to eat together. This caused our food to be mildly warm, so that was not great. It was also really salty. They were nice and gave my husband a free dessert. Not a bad place, but for the price point expected a little more.

S
Sophia Winkler-Schor (Sophia Winkler)

This place is mediocre at best. The food is over priced and over salted. We ordered the guajillo chicken and it was not hot and very tough. The zucchini linguini was very salty. My grandma enjoyed her scallops. The steak was good but over cooked. They offered to remake it but my husband decided it wasn’t worth the trouble. We also liked the Caesar. For such prices everything should be flawless. The service was very good and our waitress Rita was lovely and very attentive.

W
Weina Dai

Compared to the price and the ambience, the food is the only deduction, but that one should be the most important part of a restaurant, right? The wagyu tartare tasted like nothing, no seasoning, and the raw beef, which was raw but didn’t have a note on the menu, tasted a bit cowy, not so fresh. The steak was ok, but the halibut was absolutely overcooked, which I couldn’t believe that such a high level restaurant would happen. They even charged 3% more for the credit card payment!

C
Cheyenne

Disappointing experience. We'd never eaten here previously but decided to check it out for dinner on a Friday evening. We found several of the dishes to be excessively salty, nearly to the point of being inedible. The remaining dishes we ordered were largely lackluster, bland, and unsatisfying. Needless to say, we quickly decided to forgo ordering dessert. Service was uncomfortably slow between appetizers and entrees, but the waiter, to his credit, did apologize for the lengthy wait. It also seemed to take longer than reasonably expected for the empty booth across from us to be cleaned of its dirty plates and utensils from the previous customers. Lastly, I wasn't fan of the loud monotone club music that reverberated throughout the restaurant for the entirety of our meal. I get that some people enjoy that kind of ambiance and that's totally fine, but it just wasn't my preferred dinnertime vibe.

Y
Yana Shak

Came here for brunch with family. The food was not that great but very mediocre for the prices they charge. My mom's meat was over salted and my child burger that was almost burned looking when its supposed to be juicy. The service was also slow for not a very busy day. I would not come here again. The food honestly tasted something you can get at Dennys. Don't let the atmosphere fool you.

V
Viraj Deshpande

Extremely overpriced for kind of food they serve, and service they have! We were 4 of us celebrating special occasion on new year's day. We probably paid ~$250 for our bill. Waiter served us water only 1 time in 90 min of our time there. Did not even ask or refilled the empty jug of water even once! Like many other posted here, we too got overly salty food! We had to return one of our dish to remake. In spite of telling our waiter to serve light ice in my drink they filled half of my glass with ice! They offered a complimentary dessert (only 1 specific dessert from all the options) for the occasion we were celebrating, and when we got the check it was surely added in our check! Waiter apologies after we brought to her attention and she corrected after. When we got the dessert waiter didn't even clean our table. She only took the plate but leftover food crums on the table were left just like that. No efforts were made to maintain the standards. This may be flying as fancy, high end restaurant but it doesn't cut the bar! Definitely not going here again!

I had made a reservation a week in advance (4:45 - 5:45PM). When I arrived, I was told that they were getting my table ready. I was holding my daughter (under 2 years old) when I was asked if she needed a high chair (yes, please, obviously). A high priced Valentine's Day 4 course menu was offered, so both my wife and I decided to get it. There was a note at the top asking guests to be done with their meals in 2 hours. I had no intention of dining for 2 hours since my daughter was with us. Both my lobster bisque and steak were overly salty. I had heard guests at the table complain copiously before my food arrived, and I did not want to believe it. But once I tasted it for myself, and my wife had her food as well, we both agreed- way too salty. We waited nearly an hour for our second course to arrive. It was 5:36PM when I got up, flagged the waitress, and asked when the second course was. It is already difficult to eat with a little one, let alone have to wait. Mind you, I would say for a Sunday night, the restaurant was not at capacity and not overly busy. Two little crostini came out. Definitely did not take that long to make them. The waitress saw my disappointment and said that the next courses would come out faster. Steaks arrive, and as noted above, too salty. I told the waitress, box the desserts and bring out the check. $267...obligatory questions about tip (answer- no tip). Probably sensing that I was unhappy, the waitress said quietly that I did not have to answer further questions. Seeing that this little machine was in front of my face, asking me, I thought I would oblige. - How would you rate us (answer- thumbs down) - Why (service...if I could select more options, I would have selected food as well). Eventually my desserts come out, boxed as asked. I'm eating this steak hurriedly, because of the time limit (closing in at 1.5 hours), and I'm not happy that I paid all this money for this experience. A gentleman representing the restaurant was brave enough to ask me what went wrong, of which I explained and got a gift card (not sure of the amount). I was told Sparrow was still a new restaurant (3 years), and that they were always working to get better. Not sure what to blame, the waitress, the chefs in the back, processes. I was not happy that after making a reservation a week in advance, that this restaurant did not fulfill our expectations on a day like Valentine's Day. I'll let my wife decide how to use the gift card, because I certainly won't be coming back.

I went there to celebrate my daughter birthday. I thought it would be a wonderful experience but i am very disappointed. I did not get the service as expected for this category of restaurant, no water, no refill for water, my daughter ordered pineapple juice and only half glass was served, really . Then the appetizer, they were ok, nothing special. Main course was disaster. My zucchini noodles came spicy. Kids chicken didn’t come well cooked. Kids quesadillas u should have seen how it was. Then i was told since i am celebrating birthday cake is on us which was $11 not a big deal but it was charged in final bill. Never going again n please think before stepping there.
