I was introduced to this place by a very well mannered young man, by the name Fahmi Abdullah. I don't know how I've been here for almost a decade and missed this place. Smash Burgers have emaculatant flavor, with tons of delicious toppings. Menu is a little small, but with the size and dedication towards their craft, who the hell needs a bigger menu. Bring your appetite for the double double onion burger. I'm too afraid to try the 3x3, because I lack self-esteem and confidence. Try this place out, if ever in the neighborhood.

Great place to eat. Location is a bit small if you're looking for large parties, but the burners are delicious, perfectly cooked & amazing. I ordered the triple & bacon cheddar fries 🍟 😋 killer combination.

I 100% recommend this burger joint! DE-licous!!! We ate here about 2 1/2 weeks ago and today! Don't be discouraged by the prices because the portions are huge! I get the "little D" burger and it's plenty. My Husband up graded today to the "double onion" and a massive shared French fry. The French fries is definitely big enough to share between at LEAST 2 people if not more! And BTW after we ate my husband found a "best burgers of San diego" youtube video and DUKE'S was #3

Burgers were fantastic and pretty huge. I got a double with bacon and jalapeños so good. Chilling cheese fries were ok but good size with good amount of cheese. Strawberry shake was awesome with real chunks of strawberries through out. Definitely worth checking out these smash burgers. 🍔

The reviews for the onion burger and chicken sandwich brought us here. Dukes’s did not disappoint! We got the onion burger with bacon and pickles and the chicken sandwich had dill sauce with pickles and it was so good! The garlic Parmesan fries were also amazing!

If you want a amazing, greasy, messy cheeseburger then this is the spot for you. I also love grilled onions which they put on their burgers too. I enjoy the food here every time I come. The fries are shareable so don’t order too many. The prices are a little high like a restaurant but its an order at the counter and wait for your number to be called kind of place. The food all taste good!! We eat here every couple of months when we want a good hamburger! Gotta try it out if you haven’t already!!

Oklahoma style Onion burgers come in single, double, triple, brats, chicken, hot dog. Different types of Fries and chili. It’s called onion burgers because onions are cooked into the patties are smashed to look bigger. We ordered: -single onion burger-classic burger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo, cheese -the smokehouse- not your typical sweet wet messy bbq sauce burger. -bowl of red - loved that the chili was meaty and no beans. A bit bland but with hot sauce, it made a difference -Spanish fries - basically fries with fired onions and fried jalapeños. I could do without this version and just get chili cheese fries next time to satisfy craving of fries and bowl of red. Everything was so tasty and expected in a burger joint. Soft onion bun with juicy smashed patty. The line kept growing and growing but our order came out in 5 minutes. Like any old fashioned diner, they have milkshakes!

Great staff. The Spanish fries were not my favorite, but will come back to try the rest. Burgers were good, juicy and tasty.

First time here and it lived up to the hype. A bit busy on Sunday, but service and food were solid. The burger is like a smash burger $13 with a slightly thicker patty. We got two single burgers with bacon ($4 extra). Everything tasted fresh, the meat was seasoned well, and the bun was soft and buttery. Plus 2 orders of regular fresh cut fries. Would happily return.

Overall, it was just okay. The bun wasn't very good. All of the other ingredients were quite tasty. We\n Had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to get our burgers. We thought it was a little on the Spendy side.

We came here for lunch because my partner's brother saw rave reviews of this place on tiktok and was dying to try it out. An order of 4 burgers and the Spanish fries came up to a whopping $75, so we thought it had to be good. The burger meat could be described inoffensive at best. It wasn't particularly dry, but it didn't stand out. The hot honey chicken left a lot to be desired; it was extremely dry and crunchy at the edges and the sweetness was overwhelming and did not at all accentuate the taste of the chicken. The "hotness" of the chicken was a one-note flash, and relied heavily on chili flakes for support (not much flavor to the burn). The fries seemed fresh and not at all greasy, unlike the pubs you would find in a typical pub. The downside to the fries was that they absorbed little flavor from the onions, and none at all from the jalapeños. Both toppings felt like accessories or afterthoughts, as if they were thrown on last minute rather than a cohesive unit. As for the portions, it honestly felt like we paid double the price for the amount of food that we got. Don't get me wrong, the staff were lovely and service was very fast! I have a strong feeling that they are doing their best. The music wasn't exactly my vibe, but I can see how others might like it. I'm not sure where a lot of the hype for this place is coming from, but let it be a lesson learned for the tiktok kiddos to always check multiple sources when picking your restaurants. Bottom line: if you love country music, good service, friendly staff, inoffensive food, and a nice place to have a quick weekend meal with the family, Dukes is likely your jam. But if you're a fan of burgers with substance and distinct flavors, especially compared to Southern chicken and Southern style burgers, this place will leave you wanting something else. I love Southern style cooking and soul food, and this place (and the price) does not hit those notes.

This review is based off food for price and not customer service, customer service was amazing and wait isn't to bad, now that we have that out of the way let's start. First off let me tell you, you do get a 3.5% discount if you pay cash, pretty unique. Food is pricey... we live in California lets remember we have in and out around, I came in and purchased a double cheese burger and a side of regular fries (should've got parm) the total came out to around $27 after tax, pricey right? The burger was a pretty big size and the fries portion was also really good. But let's get something straight $20 for a burger it's gonna taste good.. WRONG!! In my opinion the burger lacked flavor, the fries were to well done and honestly could've also lacked flavor, the way they get the flavor with the burger is by adding Jalapeños, without adding that my double cheese burger with lettuce, pickles and onions had no taste what's so ever, I would recommend you look elsewhere, I know in and out burgers are no where near this size but I can get 3 doubles from them for the same price as I paid for one here and I can promise you I'd at least enjoy eating it...

I went into Dukes to try it out after seeing so many reviews saying it was good and even looked good in videos I had seen on TikTok. Me and my family went in expecting good burgers for a decent price and we got the opposite. Prices were super high, I paid for me and my brother and it came out to $60 for 2 burgers, chili fries and a milkshake. Seemed like a lot but wanted to see how the portion sizes were. It was a regular burger nothing special. Not to mention later that day me and my family mentioned feeling upset stomach’s. For the price definitely not the best quality burger.
