Submarina California Subs

I need to recognize this restaurant that I went to today in La Mesa 11/12/25. I have Never had bad service or food from them in fact their staff is always over the top nice and professional and everything is perfect they do not miss a beat. The owner is even present to greet and meet making sure you are satisfied! I would rate them a 20 out of 10. Marilyn from Lemon Grove

Great sandwiches! I usually get the ATC. Prices have gone up quite a bit, but that’s gonna happen around here. Still a high quality sandwich!

The service at this location is outstanding. The food is always on par and their bread is just better than the other shops. Great spot for a sandwich.

Saturday, lunchtime, very busy. But those ladies were there to work and make sandwiches! I got a 6" Baja Sub, but should have gotten the 12". It was AWESOME! Both the cheese and the mayo are spicy! That is a very good sandwich, and I'm looking forward to getting another. This is a well run store. Thanks for the great lunch.

This location is a 20/10 EVERY SINGLE time. They are so nice, super quick, seem to enjoy their jobs! Food is always fresh! Only one I will go to and by far surpasses most Jersey Mikes customer service lol. Keep up the AWESOME work everyone!

Practically one of the only sub places that I go to these days. Hand sliced meats, fresh breads and super friendly customer service always have me coming back. Peppered Club on a Prairie roll is my go to every time. Definitely recommend this place for people wanting to try a new sub place!

I had a delicious turkey avocado sub sandwich at this location (11/18/25) and it was made just right. I was in and out of the shop in no time. Staff was the most friendliest sub sandwich staff ever. My overall experience at Submarina in La Mesa was perfect. No complaints. Sorry forgot to take pics.

They make your sandwich to your liking, without hesitation! Always a perfect tasting sandwich. Employees are always friendly never had an issue coming here. Definitely recommend for a great sandwich with awesome service!

It was 7:20pm after a hot day, and I really wanted a good sandwich. The people there were very friendly, and the sandwich was excellent! Sometimes it is not easy to find a good sandwich place in the evening, along with a smiling face! Thank you for being open until 8pm. I will be back.

Got the 6” ($9+) Bread seemed a bit hard and seasoning wasn’t quite present. Would give food about a 3.5. As others stated, service is good, clean atmosphere. Not bad, but wouldn’t spend $15 on a 9”.

It’s an ok place. Thick bread, I like to let my sandwich sit for a little while in the fridge when I get home because I’m strange like that. Over all good place to eat.

I really like Submarina (even though they're a Pepsi, not Coke, place) and this location is no exception. Submarina is where you can get bean sprouts, unlike most sub chains, and they have soup. This location has Dr Pepper, and it's right across from a Guitar Center. If you like to noodle around on a few guitars before lunch, this is the place for you.

The sandwich was good I just thought it was to much bread for the meatball sandwich. The restaurant was clean staff was friendly and the service was fast.

Line of 10 ppl took 30 min to serve - staff barely moving inside, almost all tables are empty. I didn’t had a chance to try the sandwiches itself (my lunch brake was over, what a joke) but only by looking at all of it I think it was my last time inside that place.
