I ordered the single meat dinner with brisket and two sides: Cole slaw and zucchini/squash/green peppers. With a drink, it cost $19. The brisket was tender and sliced thin. The sides seemed to be made in house — not from a can or jar. Minor things: the BBQ sauce was weak with little flavor. It looked more like gravy. My favorite BBQ joints have a selection of pickles, peppers, onions, etc. King’s doesn’t have this, and I missed it. Counter staff were friendly enough. The restaurant’s interior had a lot of character.

We opted to have King's BBQ cater a meeting for our company and booked it through DoorDash. A $300+ bill but from previous orders, I felt confident about the order. So much for that! Ordered items were forgotten that were paid for and when I called to check on the missing items, I was first told that the order was filled, then told that the driver must have missed the items, then that I didn't even order them. In short - I had my receipt, confirmed what I ordered and all I got was a run around. So the moral here is basically, beware!

Stopped by King’s BBQ for lunch. Service was quick and friendly, staff made sure everything was smooth. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark. The flavors were a bit lacking, leaving the meal underwhelming. While the atmosphere and service made the visit pleasant, the food fell short of expectations. Hopefully just an off day, because the team running the place is doing everything right on the hospitality side.

The service was great. The cash register lady was super nice and sweet. The food was horrible. I had ordered wings and the feathers were still on the chicken . The chicken was over cooked and my husband mentioned the brisket and ham was super dry 🫩. I love bbq and wings but this is not the place for that. I was expecting way more when I seen the line and prices. $40 in the trash 😔

I think it's crazy how they want to charge you to put the sour cream on the side from a bake potato I mean yes it's only a dollar they are charging but WHY if I'm already paying for it makes no sense guess they will do anything to make a dollar and the staff is not all that great they could of been more professional but that's what I get for wanting to try a new place

Every single time I have ordered carry out BBQ with the sauce on the side the dish is drenched in BBQ sauce when I get home. It ruins the food. I've explicitly ask for either no sauce or sauce on the side and it inevitably ends up on the food. BBQ has almost become prohibitively expensive, so when we do treat ourselves the last thing I want is sauce with a side of meat. I'm over it. I'm never gracing this establishment with my business again. It's bad enough that they can't get the food right, the cashier throws shade if you tip less than 20% on carry out orders.

I ordered the 2 meat combo at the drive thru. I was very disappointed when I got home and opened the cup of bbq sauce and a fly was floating on top of it. I lost my appetite after that.

Food was horrible, I purchased 3 pounds of brisket and it was the worst decisión I made in 2025. It was dry and bland can’t call yourself king of bbq when it taste the way it does. 3 lbs for $82 isn’t worth it

Absolutely, horrible old and cold food. You can’t even chew it. I accidentally ordered from the wrong location. I meant to order from Underwood never gave I have problems with them. I’m sorry, but this location in La porte sucks. Might as well close it down. It’s that bad.

I ordered from them on uber eats and this food did not taste good at all. That mac n cheese tastes like Kraft mac n cheese. I ordered the ribs and grilled chicken and they had no seasoning. All the meat was Dry and bland. I got the rib- eye steak also and it was 7/10 at best. I had the peach cobbler also which was decent I guess. 8/10. Not very sweet. The best thing I had was the lemonade but wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Im from Georgia so maybe I just have higher standards when its come to bbq but this place aint it if im being honest. Had to leave a review.

I ordered a turkey SANDWICH. I requested sandwich bread instead of a hamburger bun. My order was an online to go order so when I got back to my office I opened the bag and I had a to go box with 6 small slices of turkey and ice cold french fries. There was NO bread of any type in the bag. I called the Laporte store and advised that I ordered a sandwich and didn't get a sandwich. She said because I requested sandwich bread and they didn't have any. I told her I wanted a sandwich so if the bun was all they had I would have taken it had they told me upon pickup. She advised she was just the cashier and basically, oh well. This was my first time eating here and likely my last. This is completely unacceptable. I wasted $17.60 on a lunch I can't even eat because the fries are inedible and well, the turkey was chewy and squeaky. I will gladly bring it back when I get off work for a refund. The pictures below, as well as the poor quality of the food I received, is what I paid $17 for. Wow!
