Tip: The restaurant offers lunch specials with good portions at a reasonable price.
Great food! The staff keeps their masks 😷 on while handling the food. The food is pretty good. This is one of the only locations that I frequently go to for Thai food.
Omg great food!! Kinda difficult finding a Thai only place but this is worth it. Had the Duck Noodle Soup and plenty of Duck and noodles to really fill me up. Service was great and really clean
Amazing Thai food 🥘 I had the sweet & sour chicken so yummy 😋 We will definitely come back ☺️
Went for a coworker’s birthday. We had a large party. The Pad Thai was excellent, and the service was great. Highly recommend.
Great quality, price, and service. The taste is exactly what I expected. It has become our personal favorite place for Thai food. No dine in yet but take out and delivery is available (3rd party). Takes about 15 minutes to get your food.
First time coming to this restaurant, and the reviews are spot on. The food was absolutely fabulous- my Tom Yum soup never tasted this good, and the basil chicken (super Thai hot) had a flavor and consistency I have not experienced in this area. I wish I had room for dessert- maybe next time.
Food was great. Hot, fresh, and very fast. Huge portions. Well worth the money. They even have the good hot mustard. I’m in the Ocoee area once a week for work and this is my new go to for Chinese food.
Best Chinese food I have ver had! Service was great, ordered from the window and it was ready in 10 minutes. The service and atmosphere was great! honey chicken was crispy and flavorful, wonton soup was the best I have ever had, same with beef Lo mein and chrome fried rice! This will be our new spot on Christmas Day moving forward !
I highly recommend this place. I've been coming for over 10 years and the food is always flavorful. They have increased prices recently but I still come when I can. I do hope they expand to other locations, they are that good!!
Super organized first time going in there order two sweet and sour chickens with chicken fried rice and one order of orange chicken with chicken fried rice and actually it's really good highly recommend 10 stars all day was in and out in less than 10 minutes like those people are organized super thanks will provide pictures
Its a small hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, but the food is really good AND with the portions you definitely get your money's worth! They have a few tables, but the bulk of their business is takeout. I highly recommend getting your Chinese takeout here!
I tried this place for the first time bc it was on route home and had the best ratings! We ordered boneless rib combo and the pepper steak. The portions were great, the food was awesome! It's definitely on my go-to lost now. They took care of me quickly, the guy behind the counter was AMAZING with the customers and regulars! I was impressed.
This place has the best "New York Style" Chinese take-out in Orange County, and probably Florida, for that matter. Outstanding in every way. If you know, you know is all I can say and be brief. A must try.
Still the best Chinese within a 15 mile radius. Watching and hearing the owners communicate in so many different dialects a humbling experience. Service is great and fast. Cannot be beat.
Good afternoon family this gotta be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Orlando it's just my opinion but I bet the house on it and they got a Mexican restaurant next door and a Columbia restaurant and bakery next door to the Mexican restaurant you can't lose in my opinion It's a win win I'm trying the Mexican restaurant next until next time
I was at Hai San years ago, and I loved it. I went back after all this time and still loved it. Good, old fashioned 1950s-1970s Chinese Food, made to perfection. They even have old school, White Sauce Chicken Chow Mein...if you understand that reference, then you know what to expect...great Chinese Food from a bygone era. If it weren't more than an hour's drive from my house by highway, I would take food out from Hai San on a regular basis. It was good years ago, and still is the best Chinese Food I have had in Central Florida! ORIGINAL REVIEW My wife and I were staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites right near Hai San and were in the mood for Chinese food, but too tired to go out to eat, so placed an order for pickup and brought it to our room. Although we live in Maryland, we are originally from New York. And like most New Yorkers, we are snobs when it comes to pizza, bagels and Chinese food :-) Well, Hai San passed the snob test. We thoroughly enjoyed our order of shrimp rolls, spare ribs, and Moo Shoo Pork. Also, when we told them we were bringing the food to our hotel room, they supplied us with plates, and plastic utensils. The food was well prepared, hot, tasty and reminded me of our take-out places in New York!
We stopped in for an early dinner. There were only 4 tables with guess at them so the service was fast. We were greeted right away. The staff was very polite. I ordered the yellow curry and added pineapple. The wire has the pineapple fried rice. Both were excellent and the main reason for the rating of 4. Beyond that it was based on cleanliness and how often we were asked if everything was ok. We will definitely be back. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible
I got the red vegetable curry and it was really good and the Thai hot heat did not disappoint! However, my boyfriend got the crispy duck and said it was only okay and wasn’t a huge fan of the vegetables. Our order was made and delivered very quickly though and I think we’ll definitely be ordering from here again!
The food here is amazing. I did have to give 4 stars, though, because the heat levels are inconsistent. This is my third time here and I have ordered my food medium every time. The first time it wasn't spicy at all. The second time it was just right. This time it is borderline too spicy for me to eat. I've had the red curry with duck twice and the green curry with chicken one time. The veggies are fresh and cooked just right and the duck is superb. I especially love the addition of pineapple in the red curry. I highly recommend, just beware of inconsistencies in spice.
Food was good, could have been better. I wouldn't make a big effort to return as I live a little far from there. I Pork fried rice which was ok, general tsos chicken whichbwas good and shrimp with lobster sauce which was good, had plenty of large shrimp and tasted pretty good. Overall I recommend but I won't drive across town just for it.
Food is really good and fresh. Service is friendly. Update Dec 2021 they are not open to dine in☹️
I feel like if you need a good place for cheap food and they give you a ton of food. This is it but for me I wouldn’t be going back my rice was hard. peas and carrots looked old and onions. The spare ribs were OK. My hubby had diarrhea right after. egg drop soup had slimy pieces of the yolk in it which I’ve never seen before in my mix wonton an egg drop soup. Egg rolls and shrimp were ok. Shrimp smelled weird.
Takeout only. They have tables and chairs, but they're cluttered with storage bins. Upon asking, there is no plan to reopen for seated dining. The ceiling of the establishment is falling in and has water damage. The fried rice food had strong msg and was okay. Ingredients average to below for price/ market peers. The curry was heavy on coconut milk, and watery. Overall do not recommend.
Been ordering from here for a long time. And they do not give you fried rice with the spare rib order like they used to every time I ordered. And they just don’t care about it. They lost a regular. Hope the savings on the rice is worth losing customers Please also change your pictures online to reflect the order.
I used to order from this place weekly months ago, however, over the last few months they have significantly declined. The spring rolls are no longer fresh, they are frozen and they no longer make the sweet sauce in house they send the packets. The vegetable yellow curry used to be my favorite because of its authenticity, but now it’s declined to mostly plain milk.
Based on the reviews I tried this restaurant. Customer service was great and they were kind to call and tell me that some items were not available. Not sure if it was the proximity to closing time - however, it was not even closed to what I ordered. There was meat in items that should have been vegetarian. There was no spice even when I ordered it at Thai spice level. The mangoes were rotted or over ripe. Adding pics of the order to show that clear instructions were provided and of the mangoes so that readers know this is real.
Updating my review because the quality of the food has gone completely down . After being a customer for 4 years and posting here that I loved two of the dishes I am officially changing my review to reflect the change in food. Last night I ordered from ubereats which I do on the regular and the quality has consistently gone down. The whole meal last night was a disaster and I feel that I've completely wasted my money. The pad thai, red curry and papaya salad which I previously loved was horrible. To make matters worse Uber Eats does not want to refund my money and when I called the restaurants to complain they said they were sorry. Don't waste your money here.
I love Thai food but this was by far THE WORST Thai food ever! I was so upset when I opened the containers. A matter of fact, I don’t know if I’ve ever had food this bad. It looked underwhelming and tasted even worse. Plus the portions were a slap in the face. This place should be ashamed of themselves charging the way they do for the quality of food they serve. Such a rip off! I’m sorry but they don’t need to be in business. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!! The crispy grouper was soggy, the medium steak was well done and tough. The vegetables were (I don’t even know).
I love Thai but this is the worst Thai I’ve eaten in my life. The Thai basil was so salty , and how do you mess up Pad Thai? This cannot be cooked by anyone that cares. Terrible and inedible. It was literally so bad we couldn’t even eat it. I think they triple salted the pad Thai tofu and Thai basil. The chicken pad Thai was edible. I had my son try the other dishes and he immediately spit them out. This has got to be a prank or a mistake or something. But reading the reviews I’m unsure. I understand sometimes cooks change but the manager should keep an eye on the taste of the dishes going out the door. I will be dumping it all in the trash and this is the first time in my life I’ve ever done that.
My wife and I visited this restaurant recently, as fans of Thai food and having noticed their signage. Unfortunately, we will never be back. I would NOT describe the food as being Thai food, but rather it is vaguely reminiscent of Thai food. We ordered some spring rolls to start and I dipped mine in the provided sauce, but was very disappointed. Both the spring roll and dipping sauce were virtually flavorless. At this point my wife tried one and agreed that the flavor was missing, and the sauce was thin and relatively devoid of flavor. We decided to not order an entree based on pricing, and the lack of quality in the appetizers. My wife did order a dessert, as it is one of her criteria for a successful restaurant. She got the rice and custard dessert, and it appallingly came out as a tiny portion, covered in a sickly sweet glaze, and a nasty maraschino cherry on top. So for 2 orders of unimpressive spring rolls, 1 rice dessert and a Thai iced tea, we spent nearly $20.00 and it was by and large inedible and disgusting. I kept secretly hoping Gordon Ramsay would show up, remove a disguise and order us to stop eating at once. Unfortunately, we had no such luck. I truly don't know if this place is capable of making good Thai food. I was appalled and would not recommend this place. There are much better options for Thai. I have no idea how so many diners rate this place highly at all, our experience puts it at the level best described by the term debacle.
This was not just bad thai food. I think something was wrong with every dish we ordered. I had to throw all 3 dishes in the trash because they did not seem safe to eat. My experience was similar to what I see in other reviews here and I wish I had looked at them before placing my order. Truly shocked by what I got.
Decided to give this place a shot being nearby and having decent reviews. Save your time and money. This was some of worst Thai food I’ve ever had. I’ve been eating Thai food for over 20 years and this is was as bad as it gets. The Massaman curry was so salty…it’s not supposed to be salty…I’m white as coconut milk and I know that. The spring rolls we’re not fresh and basically had a shrimp stuffed inside with the tail still attached..how lazy do you have to be to not remove the tail? The Thai tea was the only thing that was acceptable. They could give me gallons of Thai tea and I wouldn’t go back.
Food was subpar. A special was listed as 13.95 for pad Thai. Decided to do a combo which was an additional 4 dollars. Total came out to be $19 for the smallest meal ever. Food tasted like it was burnt and I feel like I paid a dollar per shrimp .( only four shrimps inside with some chicken ) Definitely not good pad Thai . Can't speak for the other menu options . No dine in Take out only.
I was craving Chinese food so I decided to give this place a try. I was very disappointed unfortunately the food was not appealing to look at and the taste was OK. The chicken had no flavor there were feathers still attached. the fried rice had a decent taste but was bunt. I ate a piece of chicken and a couple spoons of rice and I threw the rest away. Maybe I came too late in the day, but I would never try this place again. The service was fine, but the food in itself was just not good at all. I would absolutely not recommend.
I bought shrimp fried rice with chicken wings, but the rice tasted very bitter, almost like some kind of chemical had gotten into it. After chewing, it left a bitter taste and even caused numbness on my tongue. I called to let you know about the issue, not to ask for a refund. Instead of an apology or reassurance that precautions would be taken, I was told to bring the food back for a refund. We don’t want the money back—we just wanted to let you know that something was wrong with the rice so it can be checked and corrected.
Rice was undercook and the chicken had an after taste that was awful. I will never buy food from this place. I believe that most of the “good” reviews are driven by the low cost. Terrible taste
