My first time here, and will definitely be coming back. This is one of the best seafood dinners I have had in a long time. Dishes are very fresh and cooked to perfection. They season all the dishes very well. The service here is extremely good. They are friendly, attentive, and very helpful with recommendations. The place is very clean. Excellent!!

Absolutely great food. They often have long lines but it’s worth the wait. Parking can be tough, but be patient and a spot will open up.

I had an unforgettable meal at Seafood Cove 2 with my family of 13, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Iris, the owner, for taking such great care of us. They went above and beyond, especially in making sure my disabled brother was comfortable and accommodated. This is something we deeply appreciated. The dim sum was phenomenal, fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable. The wait was worth every minute. My family has a tradition of holding very high standards when it comes to Chinese food and dim sum, and this place absolutely delivers. From quality to service, Seafood Cove 2 checks all the boxes. I’ll definitely be back, and as long as they maintain this level of taste and hospitality, I’ll keep coming back.

Finally—a Clean and Fresh Dim Sum Spot! Most dim sum places I've been to felt run-down or unclean—but not this one. The entire restaurant is spotless, from the tables to the restrooms. Super refreshing. What really sets it apart? No dated food carts rolling around with lukewarm items. Here, you order off the menu, and every dish comes out fresh, hot, and perfectly timed. Everything we tried was full of flavor and clearly made to order—I was so into the food, I forgot to take any pictures! Service was top-notch: fast, friendly, and attentive. If you're looking for high-quality dim sum in a clean, modern setting, this place is a must. I’ll absolutely be back.

We're here at least twice a month. Several things on the Menu as well as the Dim Sum are good but every time I go the House Lobster with Noodles is a must. It's huge and I get 3 to 4 meals out of it easily. 2 lb. Lobster will all the trimmings averages about $70-$75 dollars. We Love Seafood Cove 2.

I got the French-styled beef and tofu, which were really good and was served quickly. Lobster and combination shrimp were also well made. Our waitress was really nice and understanding. We also got free wet wipes, free dessert, and free rice to bring home with us.

Been here for years. Just visited lunasia a few days ago, and yeah…seafood cove is still better. Service is better, right away as you seat there’s already a hot pot of tea and the condiments ready with no extra charge. Flavor and quality is as it was since high school days.

Seafood Cove is some of BEST Asian food I have eaten. (and I’ve eaten a lot). The dim sum is flavorful, fresh and the ladies that bring it to the table are wonderful. The honey walnut shrimp is a 5 out of 5. And of course the lobster is to die for. I also recommend the black mushroom shumai. I also recommend the calamari.. sweet and succulent. I haven’t tried anything here I didn’t like. You will have to wait but it is well worth it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEAFOOD COVE 2 you will not be disappointed!

Wow!! The food here was delicious!! The Dim Sum was 100% perfect. We also purchased the lobster plate where they ask you how many lbs you are wanting, they go look for a live lobster in the tank that is around the size you want, and then cook it up and serve it to you with noodles, soooo good!! Expect there to always be a wait, we waited for about 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Totally worth the wait. 5 stars!!

I grew up eating at this place! One of the best Dim Sum restaurants you can find in OC. I was thoroughly pleased with my visit to this dim sum establishment! The atmosphere upon entering was welcoming and the service from the staff proved exceptionally attentive. The menu featured a delightful selection of classic, and delicious dim sum choices. Every dish was a nice of taste and well-prepared. Undoubtedly, this restaurant has become my preferred destination for a satisfying dim sum cravings.

This is really one of the very best dim sum and seafood restaurants. There is not a lack of consistency, But there is a huge variety of pallet that this place serves. So, of course , opinions defer greatly. Salty eaters say under seasoned, bland eaters say salty… honestly, it hits 90 % on point and the 10% difference is just the price of doing high volume business. It’s hard to maintain a high high bar over a sustained long duration. But to be sure, the food is never ever average. On their worst day, food at Seafood Cove is still a solid B+ by any standard. And on any given day, the delicious servings are a solid A, with texture, temperature and taste delivered in spades. Come and enjoy !

Delicious!!! 👍❤👍 The Vietnamese- style spicy soup and seafood chow mein are second to none- large portions; expect to leave stuffed. We had 3 people and cost was under $30 each including tip. Ambience is loud and boisterous/ high energy. We were seated next to a group of 3 great folks which made for wonderful conversation.😊

Great seafood except the Peking duck! This Chinese restaurant is great for a family gathering, with many large, round tables for 8-10 people. There are smaller ones, too, but you might feel odd being alone at a small table surrounded by big groups talking, laughing, and eating big portions while you look so humble with a plate of fried rice. The restaurant is great with most seafood courses, and the servers are very helpful in suggesting what to order if you are not familiar with the menu. However, i made big mistake to order Peking duck and bo luc lac in my last visit. They were just not what we expected.

We came in for lunch on a Saturday and there was a 30-minute wait which goes by rather quickly. The dim sum menu doesn’t have any price on it, however, I can tell you that all of the items I ordered that day cost $6. We ordered siu mai, har gow, xiao long bao, chicken feet, steamed tofu skin roll, fried shrimp wonton, BBQ noodle roll, and sweet tofu. All of them are delicious, especially their siu mai and har gow, they’re huge. My least favorite item would be the xiao long bao as the skin is a bit too thick. Towards the end, we’re offered their sweet tofu which is only available on Saturday and Sunday. I’m glad we decided to order one because it was perfect for dessert, the light tofu and the ginger sugar syrup pairs perfectly. Follow @hangrytrails.us for more foods 🍽️

Let me review for you!

Dim sum is great, good flavor and freshly made to order. This is a busy place, so customer service is the best I've ever witnessed. Tips are so welcomed, so tip the waiters and food servers. They appreciate the generosity.

Gave it 5 stars cus it's a destination but be prepared for an adventure. Showed up at 1:30pm on a Sunday. Survived the hunt for parking. Found out they had a yelp wait-list too late -- there were 100 people in front of us. Most of the list was for parties of 2-4. We ended up going somewhere else. The reason I gave 5 stars over 1 star is because the food is good, it's a great dim sum experience-- def worth brining 1st timers. But if you're the organizer, prepare to get there early, or have a backup ready.

My girlfriend and I ordered 4 items. 3.5 lb House Special lobster, Fried chicken with Shrimp Chips on top, another dish that was chicken and rice noodles in a very delicious sauce, and two bowls of white rice. First I would like to say that that amount of food was enough food to feed us both for two more days. The food was very delicious and plentiful. My girlfriend is very fussy about the food she eats and always lets me know, like tasting old or fresh, soft or chewy and quantity to price. Me I'm not too fussy except when it comes to MSG. I get a massive migraine the next day. So as I was saying my girlfriend really enjoyed quality and quantity of the lobster and eat less than a quarter of the order and took home the rest. I liked the quality and quantity of the Fried Chicken except the Shrimp Chips still had a lot of oil on them, but my girlfriend didn't like the taste of the Chicken but liked the quantity. She said it tastes like an american chicken and didn't have much taste unlike an Asian chicken. We both liked the another dish that was chicken and rice noodles in a very delicious sauce. I would recommend the Seafood Cove to anyone that enjoys great Chinese Food and with plenty of parking as well. I have lived in Westminster since 1988 and I myself have never been to the Seafood Cove before but have been shopping in this area since 99 Ranch Market opened up and then later replaced by another supermarket that's there now. My girlfriend is Vietnamese and I'm American and we go out to eat once a week and so she suggested this place. My girlfriend has been to the Seafood Cove a few times with her family and enjoys the Dim Sum here of which is only available at the Seafood Cove #2.

We went here for our Dad's 80th birthday. It was a lot of fun. They were very accommodating. The staff made it very enjoyable. Everything was set up and ready to go when we got there. They even gave us a table for the desserts we brought. See pictures. Food came out fast and was delicious. The fish was so tender and flaky. Will definitely be back and book again for events.

This is always my go-to destination for a special occasion dinner. The family-style food is excellent. I am never disappointed with the food here. They have a good dim sum in the mornings. Family-style dinner in the evening is by far the best in the area. Update 2024: I always come here when I have a large group or it's a special occasion. It continues to be a favorite destination for me.

Laidback atmosphere and really consistent, tasty food. It can get busy but if you go early there won't be a wait (and the wait is worth it anyway) Lots of good options at reasonable prices. I don't think we had anything we didn't enjoy.

This place is bright and fun inside. The staff is very welcoming, polite and friendly. We went for dinner and the food was so delicious! We had pickled cucumbers, pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, honey walnut shrimp(so amazing!), vegetables and egg flower soup. The egg flower soup had corn in it. I have never had it with corn before, but it was good.

The wait is definitely worth it! 🥟🥢 Dim sum is always crazy fresh and perfectly cooked. They have all the popular items as well as a good range of other choices. I highly recommend their har gow, siu mai, and calamari! The restaurant is upstairs and very beautifully decorated like a traditional Chinese restaurant. The only downside about the place is that their prices aren’t transparent. There aren’t any signs and they weren’t posted on the menu so you don’t know the prices of the food items until after you get your check. * Har Gow: 10/10 - soft and chewy * Siu Mai: 10/10 - good size and amazing texture * Chicken Feet: 8/10 - not too salty and good sauce * Calamari: 10/10 - crispy and nicely seasoned * Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce: 7/10 - prefer a bowl of oyster sauce instead of just drizzling it * Shrimp Noodle Roll: 10/10 - fresh and so tasty * Nutella Sesame Ball: 10/10 - an awesome dessert Prices: - A: $5.19 - B: $6.19 - C: $7.19 - D: $8.19 - E: $9.19 The workers were nice and everything was brought in at an appropriate time even though they were busy. I highly recommend going on the weekdays because the weekends are crazily packed no matter what time you come. It’s located in the very popular Asian Village plaza across Asian Garden Mall so it gets very crowded at peak times. A must-visit when you’re in Little Saigon! 🥡♥️

Came on a Sunday around noon. They are on the second floor, you can see everyone waiting on the balcony in front. Parking lot is large but very busy on weekends. Added our name using a tablet to the Yelp waitlist. We were 44th in line. Took about an hour and a half. Once we sat down they will take any orders that aren’t on the dim sum menu. We ordered salt and pepper tofu and salt and pepper fish. Don’t recommend either of those. All the dim sum dishes were good though. They also have ice cream available from Churnt creamery but we were too full. Gave it 5 stars because one person noticed we didn’t hardly eat any of the fish and didn’t want a box. He took that off the bill. The fish was battered like American fish and chips and not too much flavor.

J

Customer service was fantastic and the food hit the spot. Okay… but first, let me clear up with confused the heck out of me. There are two stories and Seafood Cove is on the first AND second floor. Go into the first floor and the stairs will lead you upstair to the actual restaurant. I was craving chow mein and many other foods. Remember, your stomach is not as big as your eyes. We ordered… Chinese broccoli, pot stickers ,Shui Mai, bbq pork noodle rolls, soup dumplings, har gow, Thai tea, penny worth, and chowmein. All was delicious.

Seafood Cove 2 has arguably the best dim sum offering in OC. The quality is consistently top-notch, the service is fast and friendly, and we never leave hungry or disappointed. Great for large groups and brunch dates alike. They can get busy on weekends, so expect wait times or come early! Weekdays have never been an issue for me.

I’m just have dinner with my family in this restaurant, everthing seem really good from the food along with the services. Diversity food in the menu, alots of choice from traditional Chinese cuisine to seafood. Food was serve quite quick in big plate, bowl. Best traditional dim sum spot in OC! great variety and fast service. Very clean and delicious food. If your in the mood for a great dim sum experience this is the spot to go! Parking is difficult and they get super busy but I recommend coming early. Dim sum is served from 8:30 to 3 everyday. They also offer amazing seafood options that are very fresh and worth your money because they are large portions.

L
Lily K

I came here for dinner on a Friday night and when I showed up at 6:00 the place was fairly empty. They did close off half of the restaurant for a private party so considering there was only half a restaurant to see again oddly empty for 6:00 on a friday. The place is not seem to get really busy until around 7:00 or 7:30. They're definitely was a wait which looked like it would probably was a half hour away at that point. The food here is always good and if it is your first time and you are unsure of what to get then order anything that says how special next to it and you will be satisfied. One of my favorite items on the menu that is not talking about the portions are extremely generous and the flavor is on point. I also like the Vietnamese hot and sour Tamarind soup with fish. I honestly am not had anything here I did not like. I have been going to Seafood Cove one and two for over 30 years and it never disappoints.

J
Jacque C

Amazing seafood here! We thought we were going to have Cantonese food but ran into Vietnamese seafood. Everything was beyond our expeditions. The curry lobster was mild spicy to me, mingled well the lobster taste and the richness from curry. It went well with rice and I ended up ordering a second bowl of rice. It reminded us of the taste of the cuisines of Southeast Asia. We also enjoyed the crunchiness of their fried calamari.

One of my friends has been talking about going out for dim sum for a long time. My wife and I went with her and her boyfriend to Seafood Cove 2 per her recommendation. My friend ordered, and then the carts came to our table. We got siu mai, har gow, soup dumplings, steamed bbq pork buns, baked bbq pork buns, shrimp noodle rolls, fried shrimp rolls, egg and turnip cakes, and mini egg tarts. The food came out quickly, and it was delicious. The staff were courteous. I always love family-style restaurants. It would definitely be worth a return trip.

Seafood Cove is an amazing place for delicious food and outstanding service! The staff made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. The service was fast, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Not only our server, but every staff member was kind and attentive, checking on our orders and takeouts to ensure everything came out perfectly. Even my picky husband loves this place because they don’t charge for tea or chili. It’s rare to find service this warm and efficient.

Everything here is so good — definitely an OG dim sum spot! 🥢 The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistent every time I visit. You can tell they’ve been doing this for years and really know what they’re doing. The only downside is the wait times can get pretty long, especially on weekends, but honestly, it’s worth it. If you don’t feel like waiting, you can always order through DoorDash and enjoy their dim sum from home — it’s just as delicious! You can also check in on Yelp to get an idea of the wait before you go. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Orange County Southern Baptist Association of Churches Christmas Party. Ten course meal among friends and family. We had the entire restaurant. The staff and food were outstanding. Highly recommend... The restaurant is on the second floor. There is an elevator if needed. Don't let the 20 minute parking space markings bother you. The times are not strictly enforced. I spoke with a security officer. He said simply not to park long term in the 15 minute loading spots. There are too many cars for them to enforce times... Have a great meal and a fun time...

Hi I had a great experience today as I always do too when I dine @ Seafood Cove 2 , I go for their dim sum with hot tea & iced water to drink , everything is always delicious, great service, great atmosphere , I only come here once a year for Chinese dim sum for breakfast as a tradition I’ve started for myself 3 years ago. Definitely 100% going to keep going back for life too.

This place is amazing! Went there for my son's birthday not knowing a thing about dim sum but it was a quick learning experience. It was fun and delicious and we had a great time! I wish it was closer to me but I will try to go back. The whole shopping center was a cool experience.

If one likes to eat in a restaurant that is really good, do expect a long line. I mean long long wait time. BUT the food and fast service is worth the wait. No wonder people patiently wait in line to savor the sumptuous meal.

I’ve been here many times, and the beef tripe is my absolute favorite! The other dim sum dishes are also great. There’s a wide variety to choose from, and the dim sum is filling and well prepared. After eating here, I don’t feel like going to any other dim sum restaurant. Highly recommended!

Great place to eat. The service was incredible and our waitress was amazing. Unfortunately they do not serve dim sum at night and that's pretty much the reason why I wanted to go there but still stayed for the dinner and it was worth it. The ribs were great. The Thai shrimp curry was also great (messy with head on but worth it) I will definitely be back to try the dim sum from 8:30-3pm

They let you reserve a table but I think it's only after 3pm. From our several times eating here, it's best to get here before 11:30am Fri-Sun. We really like the Siu Mai, walnut shrimp, drunken noodles, suon ram, and chicken feet. The steam shrimp ball is only alright. Overall, the service is good here and prices are reasonable for a party of 8-10.

Honestly the best authentic Chinese food! The restaurant is so beautiful, clean and festive. Serving staff friendly and attentive. We had dim sum, house special lobster, sautéed pea sprouts. Everything is fresh and delicious. We ended the meal with freshly baked, crispy, flaky egg tarts and the most delicious egg custard buns. My tummy is so happy and so am I! Definitely will come back to try more yummy food.

This is a good place, especially if you are used to the standard procedures of a dim sum place. It is a very busy restaurant, which can be seen with staff and sometimes the quality of food. I have a few favorites such as chicken feet, turnip cake, and sticky rice that really meets the standard of the dim sum I would back in Asia. However, personal favorites such as har how and siu mai fell short of expectation. Overall, it is a good place to go to when craving dim sum.

H

Stopped by Seafood Cove 2 for dim sum. The food was not bad—solid portions and some dishes hit the spot, though nothing really stood out as exceptional this time. I did notice the prices have gone up compared to a few years ago, which makes the overall value feel a bit different.

Very typical Hong Kong dim sum restaurant. Nothing especially stood out. This is the first time I visited a dim sum restaurant in Hong Kong but the food quality is the same as many restaurants in the US.

First time here. Very long line for dim sum.(I take this as a generally good sign that the food is good.) Waited about 50 min to get a table. (26 groups in front of us.) They use yelp's wait list feature which worked well. I was able to see exactly where we were in line in real time via the Yelp app. This freed us up to walk around and do other things while we waited. Prices were higher than I remember for dim sum, but, apparently, this is now par for the course. Service was very fast and efficient once we were seated. Food was delicious and hot. Tea was ok. Allow $35-40 per person plus tip. We will come again.

Large dining facility on the 2nd floor of the plaza overlooking Asian Garden Mall (Phuoc Loc Tho). We ordered several dishes for a party of 3 which arrived quickly for their busy Sunday evening. The female waitstaff was super attentive and made sure to clear our plates often. Sour soup was served with an interesting twist (sea cucumber). Basil clam was delicious and came without any sand residue. Steam ginger fish and salted prawns were on point. The main dish I looked forward to was a disappointment as it was overwheming in butter seasoning. Restroom was also very clean with a posted scheduled maintenance sheet.

Before the pandemic, I used to come here about 3-4 times a month. I love dim sum and this is about the best I can find (or that I’m willing to drive to). Their dim sum is fresh, service is relatively fast. Parking can be a total pain here so you have to be aggressive and get what you can. I recommend coming early for easy parking and quick seating. If you come late, the wait can be up to an hour or more, but I’ve never experienced that because I usually go early. I highly recommend!

One of the best dim sum places I've been to. The normal food is great too,but there's the other sea food cove you can go to for that. Lines are long so expect a wait (well worth it). Also b careful of the ladies trying to push food to your table, remember you have to pay for it haha. Everything is mostly shrimp or pork base so if that's not your flavor just order off the menu.

Loved my dining experience here and will definitely come back! * PARKING * All I have to say about this is that I wish you luck because it is TERRIBLE. I got lucky because I followed someone to their car but if you’re coming here, it’ll be hard since it’s in a busy plaza. * WAIT TIMES * My party of four arrived at 1 pm on a Sunday and were quoted 45 minutes. The wait was fairly accurate and we actually got seated 5 minutes before our quote time. You do need to put your name down by going inside so you can get a paper slip. They’ll call your number and there is a speaker outside so make sure to hang out in the hallway outside. * FOOD * Truly bummed that I didn’t look at the menu because I would have loved to order fried tofu and the honey walnut shrimp but I guess that just means that I’ll have to come back next time. Like most dim sum restaurants, you’ll have some ladies rolling carts around offering whatever dishes they have. They are NOT pushy or argumentative and are genuinely happy to help, which is very nice. They’ll also tell you what the dish is in case you are a newbie or just want to try something new. One thing I loved is the fact that they have a cart that will bring drinks around in case you want milk tea or Thai tea. What a great way to boost sales! * THINGS I DID NOT LIKE * This sounds so lame, but I hated the taste of their tap water. Not that I’ve ever drunken out of a water horse, but the water tasted like the worst, unfiltered water ever. I also didn’t like the fact that they brought out oolong tea and didn’t mention that it cost $2.25. I would’ve appreciated knowing it wasn’t free before just being offered and handed the teapot. This is also not a huge thing, but I like for the server to mention some important things about their menu. I am sure they just assume that people have already dined here before but it would have been a nice touch. * THINGS I DID LIKE * They did not make us throw away our outside drinks! I’m sure they do this because of their long wait times but my friends and I had literally just gotten our drinks right as our name was called and we were worried about that. Decent/good service. I’ve read reviews saying service sucked but it wasn’t in my case, so they’ve definitely stepped it up. — Overall, I enjoyed my time here and will definitely come back. For a party of 4, we spent about $60 with tax and tip included so it’s a great price for great quality.

Came here on a weekend for dim sum. Expect a wait and to be added to the waitlist. Luckily it was only 30 minutes. The dim sum here is good and consistent over all these years. Servers are nice are helpful.

There’s always a long line at this location, one needs to sign in using the tablet in front of the main door. They will text you a link to check on the status to show where you’re in the line. They don’t have carts for dim sum any more , instead you order from menu, excepts for drink and dessert carts.

Came here today for the dim sum. Was crowded but wait was fast. Service was excellent, waiters and staff checked in on you. However not the best dim sum, would not come back for it. Also found a hair in my congee. I would give it another shot to see how the kitchen made dishes are but dim sum was a no go for what we ordered. Some of the rice rolls tasted a bit sour.

This is the famous dim sum restaurant between my Japanese friends. My friend and I were kind of surprised the roomy eating area. The foods were so delicious, especially bbq pork with rice noodle!! We wanted try many kinds but ended up 6 dishes. So full! Our bill was under $40. That’s a wonderful surprise! Since this mall is very popular, I recommend visiting here during weekdays if you could. They serve dim sum until 3:00, you could find your parking spot much easier than before noon.

I came here, for some "Dim sum".. They have a good selection of small plates of food that you can choose from.. Service is great, Saturday food starts at 8:30 am.. 5 minutes in line.. Five minutes later I was eating. Come check it out.

I gave it a 4 stars because the place is very busy on the weekend. The wait is not great at all because so many people come here to eat. I can see why people come here because the food is good.

A wonderful experience if you've never done so. The person at the register was warm and welcoming. He was willing to put time into his guests to answer questions. My family drove miles to get there, so the impeccable kindness was well received. We will return soon.

Food was super tasty. I love how their food (especially their dim sum) wasn't greasy at all and very flavorful. Price is really good for the quality. Waiter we had (in pic below, holding lobster) was awesome, not only was he super attentive with the business of Mother's Day wkend (we didn't feel neglected at all) but his recommendations and knowledge helped our 1st experience be so great that we will definitely recommend and come back. We ordered both a la cart and from their menu.

Decent food if you don't want to drive to Monterey Park. We had the house special lobster with a few other dishes. Good portions and good flavors.

Very nice place located upstairs in the plaza. The food was excellent, service was great, and the place is very open and spacious inside. Set for dim sum style meals in the first half of the day, and dinner after 2 pm. We would come back to dine again here. Maybe try the dim sum next time.

We've been to this place before, but this time we had to write a review. This place was not like it used to be. They did improve the waitlist experience with the Yelp Waitlist. The waitlist quoted us with 60-70 minutes wait time. I wish we could add our name to the waitlist remotely. The food was okay. We ordered the normal dim sum like we usually do. I ordered the shrimp dumplings, pork soup dumplings, shrimp rice rolls, beef rice rolls, Chinese broccoli's, clams with black bean sauce, baked pork buns, and pork bones. My favorite is the clams with black bean sauce. The rice rolls looked very soggy and was sitting out their for a long time. The rest of the dumplings was average to other Chinese restaurants. The restaurant was kind of dirty, for example, the tea pot must have been used by prior customers and they just filled the pot with water and handed it to us, but the service was fast. Everything came out at a timely manner. I would come back for a quick dim sum fix and had spare time to wait in my car for an hour.

C

Their Dim Sum: steam pork and steam shrimp are one of the best for me. The place is busy specially during weekend, wait time is about 30 to 35 minutes. During weekend parking is a challenge.

This place is nice for a large party, because we came in with a party of almost 15 and we were promptly seated! True to their name they have plenty of seafood options and you'll soon find out nearly all their options are fried. The portions are certainly good to share, but many of our dishes seemed to be prepared in the exact same manner (tossed in the same sauce, same condiments, and same batter). But still a solid place with friendly and fast service!

J

Great spot for fried lobster and crab and shrimp. it's in a mall that feels a bit run down and could use a little surface renovation. The service was good. The food was the real winner. Fried lobster was excellent. Fried shrimp was also great. We're a family of 4 and had plenty leftover to take home.

Is this some life-changing, five-star culinary masterpiece? Hard no. Will you be posting about it like you just discovered the eighth wonder of the world? Also no. But here’s the thing—it doesn’t have to be. This place wins because it’s rock-solid consistent. Every. Single. Time. You get quick, smiling service. You get hot, juicy dim sum that actually tastes like it’s supposed to. You get a chill, no-drama vibe where you can just relax and eat without overthinking it. No surprises. No disappointments. Just good food, good value, and a good time. We roll through here at least once a month because it’s reliable, it’s delicious, and honestly, sometimes you just want to stuff your face in peace without needing to “curate a dining experience.” It’s simple: show up hungry, leave happy. Grab your people, share some plates, and get full the fun way.

Ordered Black pepper lobster. It was amazing. Even though we went almost like closing time. They were very welcoming and provided good service. Also ordered seafood egg noodles- it was okay. Lobster are very fresh and they service based on the weight we choose. The smallest lobster we got was 2 .8 lbs almost and total price of the dish was approx $70. It was good try.

Great Chinese restaurant for dim sum. Just don’t order their fried rice, that’s the only thing that I dont like on the menu. Their fried rice is so wet.

We went for dim sum lunch after an appointment with the herbalist. We thoroughly enjoyed our dim sum, even though it wasn't the cart kind (they were still pretty fast). The dim sum menu isn't as large as some of the places you'd find in Rowland Heights or SGV, but at least the taste is on point. One thing I like better at Seafood Cove is their turnip cake. I don't know if it's a Vietnamese thing or traditional Hong Kong offering to add an egg on top, but this is one of the best things lol. Also a unique item that I haven't seen elsewhere is a fried scallop thing. I don't know what to call it, but it's yum yumz. I think I posted a picture lol The dim sum ladies here are nice and attentive. The waiters have to be flagged down, but that's kind of typical at these type of establishments because of the speedy turnaround expected of them. We did order off of the regular menu because I am a fan of Seafood Cove's steamed fish, but it never came. We lucked out though because we were full from the dim sum and it left just enough room for dessert. The staff was sincerely apologetic, and we appreciated that they took it off the bill without fuss and checked up on us regularly afterwards. I used to have reservations about coming to SC2 because my family has been going to the original for decades, but I will be back here because I really enjoyed the roomier seating, shorter wait and pleasant staff. Please note that it's on the second floor. There are stairwells both inside directly under the restaurant as well as outside just down the hall. There is also an elevator in the lobby.

Food was just okay compared to the original Seafood Cove. We have ordered the most expensive Family meal with Peking Duck and 10 lb Lobster. And one item wasn't available on the Family Package meal, and they had to ask the owner/manager if the food we wanted to replace was possible, a few times. Overall atmosphere and service were great.

V
Valerie Pham

The dim sum still holds up, there's currently (1/4/26) less carts but taste is still there. It's definitely loud, fast paced, and packed even when it's raining. They have some new items but pruned some of the older less popular ones. Very attentive staff, but it is loud so be loud.

First timer to Seafood Cove 2 for lunch and followed high recommendations of others via Google. Seafood Cove 2 was the closest sit-down as we weren't familiar with the neighborhood. Seafood Cove 2 was very inviting. Bright lights, greeting at the desk, clean table cloths and place settings with pictured Dim Sum menu. No prices are listed, but the server happily explain the process and prices. No traditional steam carts and food are brought to table. The dining room is large with fresh white decor. Dim Sum was quickly served and our orders looked like the many previous reviewers pictures. The taste was good in our opinion, cooked well and not oily. Thank you to the many reviewers this place was quite desent.

Only one cart going around. The rest is direct order, which to be honest, is a lot faster. The Dim Sum here is fantastic! We ordered at least one of everything and there wasn't anything we didn't like. I'd make this my regular place if I lived in the area. Will come back in a heartbeat!

Dim sum heaven. This restaurant has been here for as long as I can remember. My family and I dine here for occasions. Parking: I hate this parking lot with a passion. It is always busy, and finding a spot is difficult. Good luck! Ambiance/Environment: The restaurant is located on the second floor, so you'll have to take the stairs or elevators. They have a large space with round tables and chairs. Perfect for large groups. It can get extremely busy on the weekends. Often parties and wedding receptions are held here. Service: A host at the podium greeted us. Since there was no wait time, the host escorted us to a table immediately. Service has definitely improved over the years. The servers are more attentive and constantly checked on us. There are carts filled with dim sum in the mornings. The servers go around to each table with the carts and ask if you'd like anything. They stamp your card after if you chose something from the cart. Since we visited on a weekday and it wasn't busy, the carts weren't going around. We just ordered dim sum from the menu. Food & drinks: Remember, dim sum is only served in the mornings while dinner is an ALC menu filled with delicious Chinese food. I love their dim sum items. Everything is steamed, fried, and cooked to perfection. Our favorites are the har gow, siu mai, steamed buns, soup dumplings, chicken feet, shrimp balls, shrimp noodle rolls, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, and sesame balls. Just to name a few lol. These portions are small dishes that can be shared. Our favorites from the dinner menu is the fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, lobster, snow pea, kung pao chicken, and orange chicken. These are large portions shared between everyone at the table. Pricing: I don't say this often, but this is absolutely worth every dollar amount!

Definitely will reorder via Uber Eats/ visit and dine in. Enjoyed their menu selections on a recent Uber Eats order. My recent experience she had really quick service in comparison to other uber eats drivers. It definitely affects the dining experience when the entrees are delivered and they’re very hot still. My favorite selection was the sizzling rice soup. So delicious!! Giant pieces of shrimp too. Their dimsum is just as expected- nothing exceptional just yet but I’m hoping to try more of their menu soon. I tried their baked bao with bbq pork (a delicious sweet glaze exterior) The Lo Mein is a very generous portion and delicious- I added some of my own flavors with pepper and chili oil The pork pan fried dumplings I could pass on the next visit. Uber eats order came to $92 after the fees ($11), tip and the restaurant bill $59.

Seafood Cove 2 offers a wide variety of dishes. However, the Chinese donuts were a bit old and not fresh, and the pot stickers were quite tough. Despite that, the overall flavors were good, and the dining experience was enjoyable.

So I went here with my grandma and mom and we ordered the #102 House Special Chicken, #127 Sauteed String Beans and the #142 Chow Mein with Soy Sauce Gravy. The House Special Chicken was not good because it tasted chewy and the flavor was not delicious. The Sauteed String Beans was not great either because there was a basil like herb in the dish that made a bad combination with the Sauteed String Beans. Lastly the Chow Mein with Soy Sauce was the only decent thing we had there which is disappointing. I really think that this place changed in a bad way despite kind service the food was not worth the price. Plus the water tasted weird also?.

The food quality has dropped. There’s only a limited number of dim sum items you can order. To get parking and fast seating, you need to come a few minutes before opening. The push cart experience isn’t what it used to be as well. They’re down to one cart that only serves the steam rice rolls. Now, if you want dim sum you need to order off a picture menu. Recommended Items: * Nutella Sesame Balls * Turnip Cake Avoid: * Baked or Steamed Pork BBQ Buns * Peking duck

The dim sum ladies are very cute, friendly and service oriented. They tried to recommend everything they have off the menu. Restaurant is clean and spacious. Dim sum average to below average. It didn't seem fresh. We also ordered the roasted duck platter. Good deal but didn't taste good.

Ongoing quest for good dim sum brought me here on a super busy Saturday morning. I was hoping for excellent food but found most of the offerings underwhelming, plus some sticker shock at the end of the meal. Did not expect to pay close to $200 for what is essentially street food elsewhere in the world. Spacious area on second floor, elevator service available. Those elevators have seen better days: peeling floors and metal grinding sounds. Orders came out fast, maybe a tad too fast because I felt like the steam on the buns was undercooked so the bread was extra unpleasant mouth feel, same as the custard tarts which I usually can eat three in one sitting - did not even finish the one tart I got. We got sauteed pea shoots which was just fine, altho a bit oily. The shrimp with walnuts here is thickly battered and covered in an orange sweet sauce type. Something not available elsewhere is the almond milk tea that comes covered in a puff pastry. It wasn't anything special: the warm almond milk was just very MEH. As with many things nowadays, rice and tea are now charged rather than complementary. Service is quick, water refills frequently done and also someone came to check that things were in order several times. Overall I would give the food a decent 5/10 rating but not worth my almost 40 minute drive. Not a fan of the super busy plaza and difficult parking, granted it was peak lunch hour.

Service, menu selection, atmosphere are all outstanding. They have all of the dishes available for dim sum and many of the higher end dishes for dinner. Fried flounder, whole chicken, salt and pepper lobster. We enjoyed the variety available and got to try new dishes that we traditionally don’t see at our primary dim sum restaurants. However, every dish was a little under seasoned for our taste.

The hype is overrated. Got the soup dumpling, no soup, skin was so thick and dough-y. I've had better frozen dumplings from costco than here. The shrimp harcow was cold and the skin was too thick. The chicken feet was ehh...I've had better. The sumai was passable, not to write home about. Overall the dim sum experience here was not worth the wait for the parking spot is not worth it.

We have been there about several times. The prices are a little bit higher but okay, and the foods are good. However, we learned how much they are uneducated with bad services. Based on our story below. June 24th, 2023. I was there with my wife and parents in law. We faced two different horrible things that happened in the same place. 1. There were very rude and annoying people there for an entire time, manager or worker doing nothing. They were standing up right next to us and kicking our chair. They said it was just celebrating, even their table is already cleaned up, and the next guest was seated. We told our feelings to the manager, but they didn't do anything. We and many other keep telling them about it, and finally they respond. We already lost our feelings to eat I there. We took the food with the Togo box, then ate it at home. And now, the next things have happened. 2. They said they are served food that cooked based on weight of ingredients. I think stone is much heavier than clam. We told them about this to Seafood Cove 2, but the answer wes that I was lying. However, we have pictures when we get food with rock. I don't think I will visit this place anymore.

Came for a birthday celebration so food had been pre-ordered. All terrible. All of it. Nobody ate more than a few bites of a dish and it being a celebration were polite about it. But the lack of any compliments on any dish and the copious amounts packed up to take home (straight to the trash) speaks for itself. Ordered: walnut shrimp- so fishy tasting and walnuts not the candied delicious type, just weird; the plain rice was similar to Uncle Ben's, not moist and fragrant; "Peking" duck overcooked, no flavor, wrappers way too big- usually the most exciting part of the meal and was such a disappointment; I could go on but I'll end with this: at least 4 people got sick within 48 hours of eating at this restaurant. You decide.

If you are looking forward to get scammed and disappointed by mediocre food quality, then this is the place. Staff will try to give you more dishes than you ordered and charge you for it. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my enemy.

SERVICE was absolutely trash. I'm sorry, but it was by far thee worst. I noticed anyone who didnt "look rich" were getting the worst services. Including ourselves • Didnt ask what we would like to drink. • Never came and checked up on us or anyone. • Couldn't even bring us water and they couldnt even refill our water. • Wouldn't even serve us beer or soda. Simply ignored us several times. Especially when my kids asked. Not one person brought anything back. Oh but when asked for water, they listened? hmmms... All the fancy, rich looking folks were getting top tier services. All the waiters and staff were out helping them. Refilled water when they see it empty. Even went out of their way to give them more ice, clean silverware, glass cups. They gave some of us paper cups 🤷🏽‍♂️ and blue plastic cups. One cup they brought had a piece of cilantro in it.
