I tried Tabla for the first time this week, and I was very happy with my overall experience. This place needs way more hype, they have an extensive menu with tons of classics and other interesting dishes. I have been wanting to try Pani Poori, so I ordered that as an appetizer. K was very helpful during my time here, and very attentive. For my entree I ordered the Thai Yellow Curry with chicken and it was amazing. And of course I had some garlic naan as well :) Service and food 10/10!

My wife and I had a great time as usual here at Tabla. Our server was Eshwar. He was attentive and helped us with our food choices. He suggested the Madras which was delicious. We will be back.

He was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He offered great recommendations and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal without ever being intrusive. His warm and professional attitude truly enhanced our experience. You can tell he cares about both the food and the customer. Delicious authentic Indian food! Everything we ate was incredibly tasty and the service was great and quick. Shoutout to Raj for his amazing recommendations. I found the prices reasonable based on the area and amount of food. The bill came out to $109 for: 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 1 desert. I highly recommend you check them out. It’s a new restaurant in the area and I hope they stay here forever.

Upon entering the restaurant, my party was immediately greeted and we felt like we traveled to another country! Great ambiance - music, decor and aromas were delightful! OMG!!! This is a hidden gem in Lake Nona. My server today was Mehtab and can’t say enough about how amazing his service was. Attentive, kind, dealt with my demands with a big smile on his face. I’m a business owner and know how hard it is to have good employee. He was great. The food great. Everything 100% on point. Have come here before and Tabla never disappoints. Over all a 20 out of 10!

I came early on a Sunday to celebrate a personal win and get myself a plate of butter chicken. Absolutely delicious!!

Praveen provided great service and was attentive. The Chicken Saag was smooth and delicious while the Chicken Masala was creamy. Each dish had plenty of chicken. Both Garlic and Green Chili Garlic Naan complimented the saucy dishes. We will definitely return.

Butter chicken was so good! Chicken was tender and so flavorful! The garlic naan was good but needed some salt. The mint sauce was delicious! The chana masala was amazing too? ! But the waiter was pressuring us to order quickly even though the restaurant was empty.. either way I would come back!

Update on 5/10/24: Going to 5 stars based on excellent service from the manager, Kaushal, the pretty person who came from the kitchen to answer my question about the dessert name and its ingredients, and Geno. The lunch specials include a self-serve buffet with the appetizer (Chicken 65 today); soup of the day; salad; dressing and sauces; and dessert. They bring hot freshly baked naan to the table with your chosen lunch special entree. I got the Matar Paneer (wedges of cheese simmered with fresh peas in an onion and tomato sauce) which came with jasmine rice, a papadum; and the aforementioned buffet. The vegetable soup was one of my favorite items; I decided to try and recreate it the next day. It had cilantro, white onions, scallions, potatoes, carrots and a clear broth in it. The dressing for the salad was made of puréed mango with herbs, so good. And the dessert had saffron flowers on top! I asked the name of it and someone from the kitchen came to tell me it was Shahi Turkra: triangles of bread fried then topped with this saffron tinged cream sauce that was to die for. 2023: Superbly seasoned vegetable curry Goan-style with a delicately nuanced coconut sauce really pleased my palate. This was balanced by their offerings of Indochinese street food which was plated well compared to other street food restaurants in the area. I enjoyed the tandoori chicken on salad. I didn’t realize until later they left off the dressing because the chicken was so flavorful. Elegant digs mean a pricy evening. Come here for a special celebration or to treat yourself to relaxing me time and savor the flavors like I did. They won’t rush you.

Absolutely delicious Indian food in Lake Nona! The lamb korma was rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The service made the experience even better; Kumar was especially attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Highly recommend this restaurant for great food and excellent service!

It was a pleasure meeting Nora & Anshu, the owners of Tabla, at their Lake Nona location. They are very humble, sweet, and genuine. The pluses were their beautiful restaurant and incredibly delicious food! I am not exaggerating when I say that everything I tasted was excellent. My favorite drink was their “Fruit Sangria” because it’s tasty and light. The rum in the “Wessian Sour” packed quite a punch! My favorite appetizers were the “Chicken Tikka” (good amount of heat without being overbearing), the “Pani Poori Shots”, “Coconut shrimp”, and the surprisingly tender “Lamb Seekh.” In addition, both the buttered Naan and garlic naan were so good. They were the perfect compliments to the entrées. My favorites being the “Butter chicken”’, “Saag Paneer”, “Lamb Biryani”, and the “Vegetable Pulav rice.” The “Gulab Jamun Brulée” was outstanding. The sweetness it had capped off the entire meal. As I said, everything was excellent, and you just cannot go wrong with whatever you decide to eat. When you go to a restaurant that has caring owners, beautiful ambiance and decor, good drinks, great food, and located in a trendy location…this is truly the recipe for greatness!

Gentleman who met us at the door - Ansari - was kind enough to let us in a bit before they opened on Christmas Day afternoon and answered our questions about the menu and about India and his home state. Our server, Kumar, was courteous and professional. We had chicken Tikka and chicken Biriani. Both were superb.

We stopped here on the way to the airport, and were pleasantly surprised by this GEM. For only $16.99 we were offered soup, Indian rice pudding, salad and samosa in addition to our entree’s which were accompanied by a beautiful serving of Naan (pictured below). Raji, our kind waitress was very accommodating- she seemed genuinely invested in our happiness and comfort while dining. Not to mention the dining room was very modern and chic! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, food was flavorful, and tender. I can be picky about textures and it was all GREAT. I ordered the lamb vindaloo- definitely a spicier dish but I was happy with my order. Was really craving some lamb so this made my day. The soup offered for the lunch special seemed to have some Thai influence- it caught me off guard initially but I went back for more. Couldn’t get enough of the Thai red chili’s. Thank you Tabla!

Food was excellent! I was so excited to see they have vegetarian momos, and the paneer curry was amazing. Everything was delicious and very flavorful. I love spicy food and my friend likes hers milder, and they provided the perfect level of spice for both. The staff were very helpful, they gave us great recommendations and were very attentive.

We ordered pani puri, tandoori fish and turkey kebabs. Everything was delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant. Ansari was very polite and professional. My husband and I loved our dinner experience. It was our first time trying Indian food, so we got a variety of appetizers, naan, and butter chicken. Our waitress, Shruti, was so sweet and made great recommendations. She was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of! She was so sweet to our 3 month old, and overall very sweet. We would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning!

The customer service is incredible. The staff was so kind and friendly. My family and I shared Vegetable Samosas which were absolutely incredible; crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside! We also shared a Chicken Tikka Masala and a Butter Chicken and they were equally amazing; the flavors were unreal!😍 The chicken was perfectly cooked and the creamy sauces were so flavorful! Lastly, we also got garlic naan and I’ve never had something so delicious lol! My family and I will definitely come back! I’m already planning on bringing my best friend along!

I have been at this particular location 4 times now, and it's just outstanding. The food is delicious. Period. The portions are great, and the flavors are just amazing. I ordered the Chicken Madras this time, and it's so good. You have a choice of heat level. And I chose medium. It's just the right balance of spice without compromising the flavor profile. The chicken was tender and juicy. The sauce was very savory and just a hint of coconut. The basmati rice was cooked perfectly. And the garlic naan was crispy around the edges and pillowy in the middle. It's just so craveable. The atmosphere is modern, but not overly too busy. The colors are a relaxed, chill vibe, without being too over the top. Overall, it was a great dining experience. I would go there again real soon. I highly recommend eating here if you're in the Lake Nona area.

While looking for a lunch spot during my vacation in lake nona, Florida i found this Indian restaurant. The place looked very beautiful and elegant so I thought of giving it a try. As i entered i was quickly attending. The Waitress was very friendly. We ordered food and it arrived quickly. We had mango lassi which was sweet. For the main course we had shrimp curry, goat Vindaloo and lamb keema naan served with rice. The curries were delicious but the naan could be better. We also had mango bhel which was amazing. Chicken drumsticks which were very delicious. Chicken malai kebab which came Sizzling hot. And lemon coriander soup which was perfect for the chilly weather. We ended our meal with mango tiramisu and gulab Jamun créme bruele. The desserts were really good.

Amazing!! I have gone to their other locations and glad to find this one closer. The service was top notch and the food was OUTSTANDING. (Mehtab was our server). It's definitely different, being that it has a blend of 3 cultures. I was worried about flavoring and an overwhelming menu, but it was better than expected. Beautiful restaurant, dress up or dress down you're perfect either way. Staff is attentive, but masks make it hard to hear / understand. Mello was our server, he was on top of everything for us. Food came out fresh, and plated well. We ordered several dishes and at Tapas style. Trying the butter chicken & chicken curry, which were absolutely delicious. I can't determine which was my favorite they're both amazing. We also ordered shrimp pad Thai, which was good, but a little too lemon flavor for my liking...I would try it again though. We also ordered veggie samosas, definitely ordering those again! Loved both sauces that it came with. We also ordered another dish, it's photographed below but I don't recall the name....it was ok, maybe too much going on for my liking with the basmati & noodle combo. I have visited the universal location many times. I loved it so much I would brag about it frequently and tell people it was one of my favorite places for Indian and Thai food in town. The Nona location was a bit of a disappointment. I get what I usually get, the Vindaloo. I have to say this was the most disappointing vindaloo I've ever had. It tasted like tomato sauce, sugar, and chili. What a disaster this dish has such a depth of flavor normally that is unmatched, but this was terrible. The paratha bread somehow had a fishy flavor to it as well. Not sure if they cooked it on the flat top right after cooking fish or something, but it was off and also a disappointment. The place was cold inside to, the decor, the plates, matched the service I received. The host was quite warm. But my server was not warm at all, no smile, and no check back until I was pretty much asking for my check. There were 4 tables in the whole place and 2 servers. The other server was warm and pleasant, mine not so much. I guess she didn't expect much from a single diner. But, as soon as I sat down I ordered, I knew exactly what I wanted, and i was in and out and still tipped 25%. Vindaloo, partha, naan 45$

First time in this restaurant and first time eating Indian food. An Indian friend of my husband recommended the place and we went to try it on a Sunday for lunch. The restaurant has a nice decoration which makes it visually attractive. It was very difficult for us to choose something, and we asked the waiter to help us but his attitude showed a bit of annoyance in taking the time to explain to us. Very different from the waiter with curly hair who attended us to order dessert, who very kindly took the time to explain and clarify doubts about the meals with his ingredients. I think that if the second waiter had attended us initially, the experience would have been better. Honestly, what I liked the most was the mango drink with yogurt and the flatbread that is stuffed with coconut and mixed fruits (I would go back for those two things), for me it was nice and different to taste those flavors. Regarding the main dishes that we ordered, they were not bad but we had higher expectations regarding the quality of the meat. The ratio of prices and portion sizes I think is very high. About the dessert, I would choose another in another opportunity, I think that it falls short in flavor. Attached photos so you have a better idea of ​​what we ordered that day. I hope that those who choose to go to the restaurant have a more pleasant experience.

That said, the portions are small for the price, and the service is extremely slow. On our most recent visit, there were only three tables seated, yet it took 20 minutes just to have someone come by and another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. They also didn’t have a bartender, so most of the drinks on the menu weren’t available. I ordered a tequila with club soda, but since they didn’t have club soda, they offered tonic and charged separately for the shot plus the can — which felt unusually high for a basic mixed drink. The staff is genuinely friendly and the food tastes great, but the portion-to-price ratio and long wait times continue to be the biggest drawbacks.

I love Indian food!!! I have had some of the best and some of the worst Indian food known to Americans, so I have a wide scale on which to judge this restaurant. Let’s start with the service, when we first walked in, the host asked that if he lets us in now, can we be done eating by 3:00pm? It was just barely 2pm when we walked in. I responded to the wait “we’ll, that depends on how fast our food comes out”. So right off the bat my family and I are being rushed. So of course, I’m already not getting the best impression of this establishment. Not a good start. We ordered a vegetable samosas as an appetizer and it was okay. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it just didn’t have an authentic texture and/or taste I was hoping for. For our entrees we ordered chicken saag, chicken tikka masala, and my wife had some vegetarian curry I can’t remember the name of. We also got 2 orders of garlic naan. Let’s start with the chicken tikka masala. It was good, but not the best I ever had. It tasted as if it had been made with tomato soup base rather than with fresh tomatoes. The chicken tikka masala wasn’t bad, it just didn’t have the authentic flavor we have become used to. And I get that Indian food will vary in flavor and texture, but I was expecting more from this restaurant for the prices it’s charging for its meals. We also had a bowl chicken saag with our meal. Again, it lacked in taste in my opinion. Saag is supposed to be a curry rich in spinach, the spinach flavor is really supposed to come through when you taste it. This restaurant’s version of saag tasted really similar to a “beef stew” than a curry for me. The authenticity for me of the chicken saag dish just wasn’t there. The one thing that did stand out was the garlic naan. The texture was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like naan is supposed to be and it was the highlight of our meal here. The naan was some of the best I’ve ever tasted, like, honestly! My kids would have eaten more of it had we ordered more. The one thing I really liked about this restaurant was the esthetics and ambiance. It gave off a very high end and modern feel. Unfortunately, I wish the food had been just as high end in flavor and authenticity. I feel like the flavors at this restaurant really don’t exceed the flavors you would get from a casual Indian or curry restaurant. I was really expecting more for the prices this establishment is charging for food that’s just “okay” with only its naan as the highlight of our meal. Probably not coming back here as I don’t feel we got a good value for our money. We’ll have to try some other Indian restaurants. The food here, overall, was just “okay”.

We had dinner here and out they were just finishing up with a rush. We waited 3 minutes to be seated. 17 minutes for our first visit from the server. Despite 3 other seated tables in the restaurant one of which was a group of 10. Service throughout the entire experience was pretty bad. Our food took about 10 minutes and it tasted good but had more bones in it than lamb (which was a $3 up charge) after about 20 minutes we had to flag someone else down to get more water and had to ask for the check which did show up expeditiously. In summary despite them finishing up the rush in the beginning there was no attempt at recovery and I wouldn’t go back. I try to be fair when writing reviews and look at the whole picture and I can’t find a win for this experience.

One liner not worth at all. We skipped our breakfast so headed early for a lunch to try some new restaurant. We really felt good when entered so first impression was very good. With that experience our expectation went more high. It was just after my parents landed from india and we took them for lunch and all were disappointed. Ordered Chicken 🐔 Manchurian (came very hard and chewy), Shrimp 🍤 tandoori (not fully cooked & hard) & Chicken 🐔 biryani (felt like I’m eating rice with dry masala on it). Ideally on empty stomach food should be tasting good but had very bad experience with food quality.

Decided to try Tabla @ Lake Nona. Not sure if it’s just the culture maybe but it was poor service for me. Lack of greeting at the entrance. Once at the table we had to ask for water. Waiters don’t keep count of which table had already ordered. Other people dish being brought out to wring guests. AC super high food was cold immediately. The food in my opinion was nothing to crave about. The wait time for your food was over 40 mins They had the setting with the lighting warm for some type of intimate setting at about 9pm while your eating the light all turned on like you were at a football field. I wasn’t thrilled. They need more ventilation as while they add the pepper or curry everyone in the dining area started coughing up a storm. 😂

This place is horrible. They hang up the phone on you. Servers are not helpful and they have no clue of what they doing. I went there with my wife to eat ant the was really bad. Very very salty. I decided to get something else and it was even worse, so I end up paying over 100 dollars and not being able to eat the food. I will never go back there and wouldn't recommend. Shame on them.

I have been to Lake Tabla a few times since they opened and would regard their Indian food and ambiance very good , it is expensive but acceptable when service and food are good until today. For once I ordered a take out meal, my order included a Chicken Vindaloo (Extra Spicy) a Mild Goat Rogan Josh and a Garlic Nan , unfortunately the Vindaloo was VERY VERY SALTY and not Spicy at all , the Rogan Josh was hot and the Nan bread was soggy .. When I called to advise Tabla of my disappointment I was treated with disrespect and the person who answered my call disconnected as I was attempting to explain how awful the food was, he continually spoke over me and appeared to be rude and unsympathetic, after another couple of calls to consolidate matters I was virtually accused of misleading Tabla regards the taste of the food received, I did not receive any apology nor offered any kind of refund. I know customers who favor this restaurant will be thinking my review is not warranted and other customers can make their judgement but for me on this occasion I will think twice before eating here again. A favorable outcome (December 1st) Following my review I was requested by the owners to contact them in order to rectify my disappointment , after leaving 2 messages with Tabla’s Support dept without response I decided to visit the restaurant in order to ask for contact details for the owners so I could speak with them in order, I spoke with an employee, his name Shivas, who advised the owners were out of the Country, he asked me to wait while he made a call to somebody, after a few minutes he came back and asked about my original order , he was quite abrupt and appeared to be unhappy when he told me my bill is being refunded, after exchanging details of the method of payment I was given a full refund obviously I was satisfied with the outcome and was thankful to whoever sanctioned the refund, but the customer service provided from picking up the take out to final outcome was less desirable, based on this I will not be using Tabla Lake Nona in the future

So I was scrolling through my pictures and happen to pass by pictures of this place and it’s disappointing! I used to come to this place at least twice a month…. But every time I ordered to go they messed up my order… Last time I ordered all three plates was barely season… All three times I called to see if they was going to make it right and there way of making things right is for you to buy another order and then they will make the way it should’ve been in the first place 😡 and for this reason they lost a loyal customer that always recommended people to come here! Will never do that again! So yes they lost with me because best advertisement is word of mouth! I’ll post two pictures one of how it is supposed to be and another of the non season chicken just color! I got robbed but not anymore! They haven’t seen me in months and won’t be seeing me until they make things right!

Tabla has a great weekday lunch special but has TERRIBLE service. The food is never ready at the time that their online ordering system says. We have ordered 10+ times for pickup and every single time we need to wait at least ten minutes, and on one occasion waited a hour (no exaggeration). Today was the last straw. We ordered a pickup order and we arrived at the pickup time. It wasn’t ready. After 20 minutes my husband asked what the deal was and they handed him our bag which my husband saw had been placed on their shelf ten minutes before. So not only was the food not ready on time, but they didn’t even have food enough service to remember that he had arrived. It wasn’t busy. It was a Monday at lunch. Not coming back here… we will drive to Waterford Lakes instead to give our business to a different restaurant. In terms of the food, the flavor isn’t consistent. Sometimes it’s really spicy or too salty. I also don’t understand why there are chunks of onion and bell pepper in the chicken tikka masala because I’ve never seen that before. The food is also very overpriced unless you’re doing the weekday lunch special. Good riddance Tabla Lake Nona!

My suggestion to anyone That’s seeing this is not to go to this location. The service was absolutely awful, the server wasn’t well groomed meaning his fingernails were dirty. He was also pushy and rather than making suggestions. It felt like he was dictating what we should get for our dinner, also the air conditioning in the restaurant was out. It was immensely hot in the establishment. When I was paying for our meal He then requested me to leave the tip in cash, and stated if it’s not a cash tip, he won’t get it. My suggestion to the owners as well would be to train your staff. He was beyond inappropriate.

I order two meals for a delivery however, the food was extremely salty and overcooked specially, the steak noodles the steak tasted more like beef jerky and it was very dry as beef jerky. Definitely I do not recommend this place they didn’t even send forks or napkins with the order very unprofessional.
