Nice clean restaurant, well appointed. Our server, Jenn, was great. It was our first time and she made several appetizing suggestions. Wish we could have tried thm all. Very patient with our questions. Decided on build your own burger and roast beef sandwich. Both choices excellent! Freshly made, served well and fast. Best of all, they were so delicious. Jenn was friendly and very attentive. We will definitely ask for her next time.

So good!! I never been to nor heard of this place. I googled breakfast places near me & it came up. I’m so happy it did. The staff was so nice. The service was fast. And the food? DELICIOUS! I had ordered the waffle slider. This place is definitely one of my favorite restaurants now.

Had a great time at TooJay’s in Ocoee! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the management was very nice too. The place felt comfy and clean. Overall, I highly recommend TooJay’s to anyone looking for great food and wonderful service. I’ll definitely be back!

Love their rugelach and blintzes. They are consistently good at the south Florida location, and now that we are on the road we found it to be true at the Orlando location as well.

Kim treated my friend and I like 👸🏾 royalty, and truly represented what TooJay’s hospitality has always been, to a capital T! Not only with greeting us with a genuine smile but also throughout our meal and with our to go request. Simple tiny gestures went a long way. Kim is exactly where she needs to be serving with love!

Jennifer served me and my three year old today and from greeting us till the end of our lunch visit - she was more than great! Went above and beyond. This is my second visit with her and each visit she gives 12/10 service. Thank you :)

We went to the location at 10185 W. Colonial. Jennifer was amazing! She took such great care of us and made great recommendations/add ons for our meals. I had the tuna melt on challah. Always delicious! My friend had the egg salad and added the bacon after Jennifer recommended it. We will be back!!!

Lunch today was delicious as usual! we requested Jenn as usual (she is our favorite server.) It was pretty busy but we were seated quickly by Neo. Jenn was at our table before we even sat down! She recommended some of the new menu items specials. We went with our regular orders we always get. The food came out so quick! The manager Cheryl brought it out to us because Jen was busy taking an order with a party. We needed extra condiments & Cheryl came back with everything in less than a minute. Everything was hot, fresh, and of course delicious. :) Well will be back next week to Jenn. Thank you TooJays Ocoee team for a great dinig experience!

This place cures my homesickness for New York. My mom and I have been sick with covid so we haven't had the chance to physically come here, but everything we've ordered has been delicious. Their matzo ball soup is so good and hearty I feel like it's been pivotal in helping us feel better. I also had their brisket dip one day, and their ruben another. They're both really good, but if you're ordering for delivery, I recommend the ruben (the bread for the dip gets soggy fast, not their fault!) My dad is notoriously picky and really liked their brisket sandwich (without the dip). A+! You guys know if you can get an old, stubborn New York man to like you, you got something good going! Can't wait to be able to sit in this place and try more things.

Going to give this place 5 stars. The food is yummy and the service is great. Jennifer is our server and has been every time we stop in for breakfast. Food the love of all things holy, how this woman some help. There's 12 tables full of people as I type this and she's the only one here. She's fantastic, somehow still giving great service this overworked.

I absolutely loved it here. I came here with my sister for dinner. I got the build your own burger and it blew me away it’s by far the best burger I’ve had. My server was Anthony he was so sweet he truly went all out with his service which truly brought everything together and made the meal even better. I appreciate his kindness. The food came out quickly and hit the spot. What a wonderful hidden gem!

Lunch with Jennifer was great 🤤 Everything came out so fast & fresh! Matzo ball soup was on point it our favorite. It was petty busy at lunch and all hands were on deck. A male manager was out helping run food & the GM came introduced herself Sheryl and checked on our food & service. She was so sweet & funny. We will be back for Passover to see Jennifer again.

First time visiting Too Jays in Ocoee, I was impressed with the staff, the atmosphere and the food. First, our server Jen was amazing. She was hospitable and attentive, she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere and the employees we interacted with were super nice and seemed to treat all customers like they were VIP’s. The manager, Cheryl stopped by our table to check on our experience and she awesome. The food was great, I had the turkey avocado sandwich with fries. There were more items I wanted to try so I will definitely be back.

Jennifer was great this morning. She’s waited on me before when it was crazy busy in the morning a few weeks back. She just keeps loving, properly communicates with customers, and does it all with a smile. I come for the deli food but Jennifer’s a reminder that you get more than just that at toojays.

I HAVE to let this review to Kim, she was amazing! 12 tables by herself and she was everywhere and doing it great! I don’t think we have had such of good service in any other Toojays ever, and the food today was just on point! 100% recommend the pastrami here.

Had lunch this afternoon & had the pleasure of having Jennifer as my server for the first time. She was extremely busy and appeared to be by herself with several tables & seating the door. She remained to keep a positive attitude and a smile on her face the whole time with each & every guest. She offered us a wine or beer which we honestly didn't know you served. Tried the Cabernet & hit the spot! She also suggested your matzo soup & again hit the spot. We paired it with your soup & sandwich combo & was just perfect amount of food. Everything was delish & came out faster than expected especially with her being as busy as she was. We definitely will be back & will definitely request Jennifer. She was very patient with us even while being extremely busy.

Our hostess, Doreen, is the best around. She's always so welcoming. We truly appreciate her added support to the wait staff too. She always goes above and beyond to help out in the dining room and kitchen. The waiters and waitresses are also the best around.

Just had lunch with my parents. It was their first time & they absolutely loved it. Jennifer convinced us to take home strawberry cheesecakes & a box of mini black & white cookies. My parents are so excited about their desserts. They asked to come back next time visiting. Everything was delicious thank you for the great customer service & delicious food.

I have never been to or heard of TooJay’s prior to this. I found them through one of my best friends that had a delicious coconut cake from them. We both got burgers, one being beef and the other turkey. Both were super good and very big portions for the price. We also got a huge Caesar Salad that was very yummy. I was not a fan of the potato salad , it was too creamy and thick for my liking. I am also not a fan of fries that thick but these were prepared just right and were delicious. I also ordered the Cheesecake with Strawberries and it was to die for! It doesn’t have a graham cracker crust but I don’t mind at all !

C

A dear friend of mine suggested this place for lunch. The staff were great the order was taken and delivered correctly. We had the loaded Latkes, and my oh my were they good. Main lunch antres were a couple of roast beef sandwiches made to order two different ways. Both sandwiches came out as ordered and tasted great! Beverage refills and table attendance were superb. All in all, an A+. I look forward to continued business.

I got the Toojay's Classic with Swiss, and loved it. The rye bread really hits the spot with some mustard. The coleslaw was good too, all around a very satisfying and filling lunch. The restaurant was nice and clean inside with big display windows to look at all the baked goods. We also ordered macaroons which were very rich and fluffy. There's a lot of variety, my buddy got an Egg & Sausage on English Muffin and liked it too. Would be glad to come back and try some more!

Came in for a quick breakfast Jennifer was my server. She greeted me with a big smile & was very attentive. I only wanted 2 eggs & pancakes. Jennifer offered the combo breakfast for only $1.00 more & I would get a bunch of extra stuff. She took her time to find the best meal option for me. Food came out faster than I could blink! Everything was cooked perfect 10 out of 10 for food & service!

Lunch was delicious everything came out fast & fresh! Jennifer was awesome! She is the sweetest & so attentive. She made sure our every need was met! Jenn & Kim are the best and beside the delicious food they are the reason we always choose Ocoee location (we live closer to Dr. Phillips.)

Came in for lunch but was on a time crunch & we let our server Jennifer know immediately at her greeting the table. She assured us it wouldn’t be an issue and Brian the manager came and greeted us & assured us that they would get us in & out in time to make it too our appointment. They rushed our order ahead of others & we had time eat all our food without rushing & leave in time to make it to our appointment. The food came out so fast! Everything was delicious 🤤 Kudos to Jennifer & Brian for meeting our accommodations. And Kudos to TooJays for meeting our taste buds satisfaction. We will definitely be back!

I recently went here for the first time and the food was delicious. My waiter was a gentleman by the name of Anthony. He was super helpful, kind, and had such positivity. Even when he was busy he took the time to help me with recommendations and check in on me. I will for sure come back and if you want excellent customer service ask for Anthony!!

I came in for lunch at TooJay’s and had such a great experience. My server was really nice and took good care of me, but honestly the manager, Brian, is what made the visit stand out. He stopped by my table, checked in with a genuine smile, and made sure everything was just right. It’s rare to see a manager so involved and attentive. The food was fresh, the service was warm, and Brian really elevated the whole experience. I’ll definitely be back!

TooJay’s never disappoints, but today was extra good! My husband and I came for breakfast, and not only was the food great, the service was amazing. Our server was friendly and kept our coffee full, and Brian the manager came by just to make sure everything was perfect — such a nice touch! I tried the blintzes this time and OMG so good. Highly recommend this location if you want good food and even better service.

I had not been back to a Toojay's in years because they closed the one on Waterford Lakes. But coming back to I remember why Iove it. I really wanted the banana Foster's French toast but I need protein with it, but cannot eat pork. Our server Jennifer and general manager Brian got me turkey bacon from catering. They are awesome, the food was exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First Visit – Absolutely Fantastic! This was my first time dining here, and I was so impressed! The food was fresh, delicious, and came out perfectly prepared — every bite tasted homemade and full of flavor. The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and had such a welcoming atmosphere. What really made the experience stand out, though, was our server Jennifer. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared that we had a great visit. She checked in often without ever being intrusive, gave great recommendations, and made us feel right at home. You can tell she truly loves what she does! I’ll definitely be coming back — thanks to Jennifer and the whole team for making my first visit such a great one!

Came here with my friend for the first time, I had the Chicken Cesar Wrap $14.49 that came with a few side choices but I picked the fruit salad. And had 1 potato pancake hash brown from my friend (4 of them are $5.49). Was very good filling and not too expensive. Definitely will come back in.

While it's not a 5-star type food (as in not fine dining), I'll give 5 stars (rare for me to do for a chain) because it was an enjoyable time getting to eat new, unique foods that aren't at your typical sit-down restaurant. The Nova Latkes (salmon on top -- very good!!) and Turkey Reuben were enjoyable! Coffee was decent. Service was friendly -- good place to catch up with some family members for a visit! Plenty of seating with no wait. If you're in the area, I'd recommend it.

Charming atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. I love that there’s both a counter-serve deli with bakery display, but also full sit-down dining area. The brisket dip is my favorite, followed by their wonderful stuffed cabbage dish. (The shepherd’s pie is pretty good, too!) There are lots of great cakes, but the cheese blintzes are a great specialty hard to find anywhere else in the area. They’ve got great starters, too, with generous portions. This is a fun meal stop for us when we’re traveling through the area.

I’ve always enjoyed eating at TooJay’s, good food and good prices. Our party of 10 enjoyed the food and was very patient with our server, Jennifer. She was the only server in the restaurant and handled our orders professionally, friendly and attentively. While we had a longer wait for our food than usual (no fault of our server), our group still had an enjoyable lunch. This TooJay’s location certainly has a staff shortage but they did their best.

This was the second location we have been to and the food was fantastic. Our server, Jacob did an excellent job and was attentive. I had the 2 all beef hot dogs with pastrami and cole slaw and it was very tasty. I had hoped that it would look more like the picture in the menu but no such luck. It was made with Nathan's hot dogs which was a different brand than shown. In the pic there was a pile of pastrami on them while mine had only a couple scrawny pieces each which was probably better for me. It came with an extra side of slaw and a pickle. Very filling. My kids had the Shepard's pie, amazing for what is actually ranchers pie as it is made with beef not lamb, and the other had the fish and chips. Both were large portions that came with soup or salad. We had fresh rye bread with butter. For desserts split the killer chocolate cake and the strawberry cheesecake. We recommend them both as they make great desserts and pastries. The only down side to our experience was the manager who was nice, but when he brought the desserts he asked if we needed another fork and I said yes please. He went to get it and never returned. We ended up taking a set of silverware from another table.

S
Shirley Demeri

Potato pancakes were good. Sandwiches were also tasty. Liver and onion dinner was swimming in gravy and extremely salty. Also enjoyed the baked goods. It shouldn’t take 32 minutes to get our food when only two tables were filled. Had to ask waitress for the check and she apologized because she was busy making something for the restaurant employees.

All the food is very fresh and good pricing and only a short drive out of Disney

S

We went for lunch at 2 and it was fairly busy. While we had to wait 5 minutes before anyone would seat us, once we were seated it wasn’t long before we ordered our meals. The chicken salad was chunky but good and the BLT was very good. They have great fries. We’d go again.

B

Dianne was a joy to work with. They did not have the bagel I asked for, so she had the kitchen make one fresh. It was nice to start the new year with hot, delicious, fresh bagels.

G

I ordered delivery through Toojay’s via Google Maps and that part was great and as promised. When I received my food, it immediately felt under weight to me considering I got their $20 mac n cheese entree, cup of matzo ball soup, fruit cup, and 3 little rugelachs. Pictured is the entree, sitting at about one third of the 6” container it was delivered in. If I hadn’t ordered sides I would have needed more food to satisfy me for dinner. Everything tasted good, but I was very disappointed with the size of their mac and cheese entree because it was not an “entree” quantity.

D
Dennis Matl

Very high quality deli. Corned beef and pastrami were tender and juicy. Onion rings with crispy. Staff was great and service was very quick

L

My husband and I were craving a turkey dinner. This is the place to go for comfort food. The turkey dinner was turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, a daily vegetable, and cranberry sauce. It was very enjoyable. I saw sandwiches going by, and they were HUGE. We would go back!

Marquis Smith

Took a carryout meal today and it was great. The salmon in the scrambled eggs was good. Their sausage and chocolate banana cake were great too. They were prompt in being out the food to our parking spot, bringing it out mere moments after we parked. I like the br.brown sodas and tried the Cel -Re flavor this time. It’s celery flavored soda and not too bad all.

Tari Sands

Everything was great with the exception of the potatoes replacement. It was not only disappointing, but inedible. Unfortunately this will cost you four customers. We will not be back. If we wanted this sad substitute, we'd go to Dennys.

Server Kim great. Customer many year. Seen service reduced to current level. Same person seats you, waits on you, cleans table after you. Have to wait until server waiting on table has time to seat you, seat someone else, or cleans table. PUT help in restaurant. Use to meet friends for lunch or dinner, now they say not Toojay’s, no help.

I arranged a brunch well in advance of the date for 29 people. Kim was an excellent waitress, however she was all by herself and did the best she could with absolutely no support from the staff or management. It took over 2 hours for everyone to get served. I give Kim a 5 star rating but the restaurant gets a 0. Knowing how many were coming, management should have brought in a second server. I will never have another event at Toojays.

D
D. Tsuki

food was great ,but the severs seemed like they were all having a bad day which shouldn't be the customers problem. also we bought whole cakes which they added to the bill that makes tipping awkward . should be a separate bill so it doesn't bump up the tip as the cakes are $35 .tip for service is one thing not for carrying out items.

D
D. Jaxxson

I ordered a brisket sandwich and while the customer service was spot on. The presentation and taste was less than desirable. I’ve had brisket and pastrami sandwiches from other places and was “wowed” or very disappointed. This sandwich scaled towards disappointed. For the price point of $13.00 I would have been better off fixing a PB&J. The brisket had zero taste and the rye bread was pretty bland as well. I expected the meat to be piled high and piping hot! Attached is a picture. You be the judge by presentation. I don’t arbitrarily hand out three stars, but in this case TooJay’s missed the mark. I believe they could do better, so I may stop in again soon.

I found this restaurant after doing a search for a good soup location near me on Yelp. Based on their online pictures and the description that they had their menus we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant itself is a little dated inside at this location I could probably use an update, but the service was excellent. Our server, Julia, was quick to recommend different dishes after finding out it was our first time there. The food did not quite match the pictures that were on the internet but that's to be expected since they're usually professionally done. TooJay's describes itself as Jewish comfort food and I would say that it definitely lived up to that description. It was all stuff that you would expect to receive at a visit to grandma or an aunt or an uncle that really like to cook. I had the reuben and the wife had the turkey cranberry griller. I also ordered a couple of things to take with me. I had the Tuscan Chicken sandwich as well as a shepherd's pie to go. To top it off I had the pumpkin spice cake and the wife had the banana dream cake. All of the food was good although I thought the shepherd's pie could have used a little more seasoning. The turkey griller was just okay as well. probably my favorite thing of the night was the Tuscan Chicken sandwich. A little messy and hard to eat as it's lit a part each time you took a bite, but it tasted great. Based on what we thought versus what we saw on the internet I've decided to give A review of three. Which is average. Neither good nor bad, but the service was excellent. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible

Below are 3 pictures, 1 is what I received the 1st time before asking for a new one, 1 is what they returned back to me, and the other is the picture of their advertisement. Now their advertisement says "double your meat" which I did the 2nd time and none of these pictures look alike. Nor was my meat doubled they took out 1/2 of the coleslaw, but returned the same meat. I usually go here after my dentist appt. And have no issues but after this im shouting to the world..FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and will not return!

Food is always pretty good. What is not good is how bad the bathrooms are every time we go. This last time was the worst. One stall was out of order and one stall had the toilet paper roll on the ground because there was no holder the other bathroom was destroyed. Just disgusting and that leaves a bad taste in your mouth when the bathroom looks like that makes you wonder how the kitchen looks!

Gina Clark
Gina Clark

My server named Christle did an excellent job! She was attentive and kind. The lowered rating is for the fact that the menu says Latkes (potato pancakes) come in an appetizer size of 4 or full serving of 8. The kitchen informed my server that I was only getting 3 but the price would remain the same. What is that, an instant price increase? When I ordered dessert, a piece of carrot cake, the woman behind the front counter somehow scraped off half the top of the piece of cake and gave it to me anyway. If it had not been for Christle’s sense of humor the evening would have gone completely differently. Christle saved the day and should be rewarded.

We arrived and waited several minutes to be seated. The place seems to be slow on Saturday at the time that we went no employees monitoring entry to the sign please wait to be seated. Possibly a electronic sensor to alert employees. We waited and ate my wife enjoyed the food but while eating we could here a lady that had the same issue. Talking very loudly HELLO! No one responded a shame really. Customers need to be acknowledged quickly. I see looking at prior reviews its not a fluke it seems to be the way it is. Toojays is a great place to dine but to much of this is a turn off.

I was looking forward to eating here. We went at an off time and other than a large table of mostly children, it wasn't busy. It seemed understaffed. My pastrami sandwich was ok, but not exceptional. I had coleslaw that was pretty good. I got a side order of potato pancakes. They were tepid, pasty, and tasted of old oil. I was really disappointed as I love potato pancakes. I got a slice of pumpkin cheesecake to go. I was not impressed as it was bland and had a grainy I may visit again, but not soon.

We like this restaurant. We come here frequently. However, pick up service today at around 1:45 pm was less than stellar. Asked three times "are the ff in the bag?" Confirmed three times "yes, I did it myself". But... got home... no French Fries. Also, here is a pic of a $7.99 piece of carrot cake. Come on, Toojay's, you can do better

TooJays has been one of my favorite dining experiences when moving to Florida. One of my previously favorite dishes was the Shepherds Pie. The quality and quantity have changes significantly. $13.99 for a $2.50 worth of frozen dinner. And it is mostly mashed potatoes. It used to be tasty, but now is just ok. I understand like a lot of companies, TooJays marketing is out of touch with the reality of the constraints of the individual restaurant requirements, but this instant is ridiculous. There are some great folks working here and I will still buy some items that are already prepared so I know exactly what I am getting.

There day we visited. They were highly UNDERSTAFFED. Everything was slow to happen. A simple sandwiches meal took painfully too long. If we were alone, I might have walked out before the food arrived.

To start off, my family and I LOVE Toojays. But starting from now, we will be dining at the Dr.Phillips location. We think the food is phenomenal and love coming to eat here. However, the Occoe location is facing serious staffing issues. This is the third time we have come where every table in the restaurant is full, and there were only TWO servers. This time around, my family and I waited for around twenty minutes at the podium. We realized we didn't want to wait forever, and that's when your lady at the deli asked if we needed anything. She waited until we were leaving to ask. We kindly explained that we were taking our business elsewhere because it was clear they were understaffed. She never once apologized and even got defensive, saying, "We wouldn't be like this if everyone didn't come in at once." Toojays is such a good restaurant, we love the food. But the staffing issues at the Occoe location are becoming out of hand.

We were in between going here or First Watch or Waffle House, and this was surprising disappointing. The lunch looks better, but as far for breakfast - the box mix they use for waffles tastes like straight cardboard, the scrambled egg is the same carton product you'd get at Chik Filla/McDonald's, the bacon was like they raided a Holiday Inn Express breakfast. I wouldn't be surprised if the fruit salad was just straight from Publix. That said, the bathroom was clean and nice, and the vibe inside is great, sucks that the food doesn't match it.

I can't say anything about the food because after waiting to be served for 15 minutes with antsy twin babies, we left. When we arrived, the hostess was sweet, and was asking the lead waitress where the ideal place for a family of twins and a large stroller would be. The waitress was immediately annoyed and told her to put us off in an uncomfortable corner. The hostess questioned the location and suggested a different spot. The waitress rejected the idea and said we must sit where she originally stated. The hostess said "well, she's very particular and I do my best to not upset her" which we thought was odd. We were not offered high chairs, so I had to get them myself, really not a big deal. So as time goes on the twins are getting antsier and antsier, I saw the hostess motion to help us. But the waitress snapped and said "NO I'M GOING TO HELP THIS OTHER TABLE FIRST." Finally, a different waitress anxiously came to take our drink order (meanwhile Guests who had arrived after us were getting their drinks) and we said we were also ready to order our meal if possible. She nervously suggested that she was not allowed, only the lead waitress could do that. So we waited and waited for her to come to our table, and never saw her, despite babies being somewhat loud and unignorable at this point. No we are not from this area, so I'm not sure if this is common practice. But it seems to me that there is one blonde bully waitress making all the other servers cower in fear, meanwhile providing horrible service. Well take it business elsewhere.

Just average food for overpriced deli meat. Service is less than stellar. Has been out of matzo ball soup before which is one of the main reason I go here. Nickel and dime you for lettuce and tomatoes.

The first problem was the Waitress didn’t write down our order, wrong food came out and burnt. Waited very long for recook, for terribly made food. I had requested a to go when we sat down. Then I had to chase the waitress down to place that order. There was NEVER a manager in site!! We have always loved Too Jay’s but every time we have come to give them another try since Covid it has been a bad experience. Come on guy, get it together before you go under too!!!

I called in to order breakfast before it hit 2pm and also was driving on my way to eat there bc my fiance wanted to eat a club sandwich. But since my son wanted breakfast and the cut off is 2pm i wanted to order my sons food before it was to late. Well the lady that answered the phone was soooo unpleasant and unprofessional. I ordered a waffle and Chesse eggs. Then asked her if they sell home fries. She replied with an attitude "well theres a menu online". I said ok just want to make the cut off time for breakfast can you help me bc i cant eat meat not sure what was best way to order bc the platters come with meat if i can not have meat can i get an extra eggs instead. With an attitude huffing and puffing she told me no Ill be paying for the meat even if i cant eat it. Honestly the whole interaction would of been easier if she wasnt so rude and nasty. And no problem ill order it which ever way it needs to be ordered Smh i just told her nevermind. I dont eat at places that dont know how to be professional and kind. If you annoyed dont take it out on a customer or potential customer. Very disappointing.

This place has majorly gone downhill since I've moved out of Ocoee. Swung by for lunch with my grandmother. Service was disappointing, my grandmother is disabled and can't walk very fast, hostess was speed walking away from us to seat us, slung the menus down on the table and walked off before we could even get to the table. Our server was nice, however she only came by the table once, and was rushing my grandmother while she was ordering. My grandmother couldn't get a sentence out of her mouth before our waitress was trying to finish it, I've worked food service before and still currently do -- I get being busy -- but you need to be patient when someone is ordering, and ask the right questions to get it right. I still always tip 20% but it did not feel like it was deserved today. Do better!

Ordered 1/2 pastrami and matzoh ball soup. 7:30 pm sorry we don’t have the ingredients for the matzoh ball soup…ok let’s try the French onion. Not too bad. Out comes the 1/2 pastrami…thin hard black shoe leather. I showed the nice waitress and she had a new sandwich prepared. I opened the sandwich just to see the mustard I put on the original bread was being re served to me. Again the nice waitress apologized. This place had gone downhill in portion size and quality. Thankfully the waitress was great.

We arrived at the restaurant mid afternoon and the restaurant had about 5 tables occupied, we were seated at a table so dirty that we requested to move. I ordered a beef cabbage soup which came out cold and half spilled over the side of the bowl and plate, looked like someone got sick. It took 30 minutes for 3 sandwiches which 1 was made incorrectly. Fair food and poor service which the waitress kept apologizing for the way the kitchen was operating. Will not go back or recommend.

"Gourmet delicatessen" my tuches! My pastrami egg rolls were burnt to a crisp and dripping grease (see photo). The plate had pools of dirty fryer grease on it from them. They were inedible. The "matzo balls" were so light and texture-less, they could only have been made with baking powder. Those flavorless air-puffs were many things, but not matzo balls. They were served in a lukewarm bowl of flavorless yellow water. I pointed all of this out to my waiter, who had wondered why I didn't eat it. He offered to do nothing to fix it. My server forgot to bring the condiments I asked for. And when I reminded him, he brought the wrong ones. He never brought the extra napkins that I asked for...twice. The top slice of the rye bread my pastrami sandwich came on was falling apart from having been stale. The bottom slice was so soggy from the wet pastrami, I ate my sandwich with a knife & fork. That was a $30 meal for one that I'll never repeat.

Really are no words. We waited over 30 mins for our food and there was maybe 4-5 tables. Food was horrible. Toast was cold. Butter wouldn’t even melt. Omelettes were scorched and dried out. Fruit was out of season. Potatoes were burnt. Not sure how this place has such a high rating.

J
Johnny Valentin (XLCR Godfather)

Wife went to get us food. Apparently they can’t tell the difference between sauerkraut and coleslaw what’s made my sandwich completely inedible since even the smell of sauerkraut makes me nauseous.even the receipt showed it was supposed to be coleslaw.

Looking at the previous reviews, I would agree with Jamie on the 1 star. After waiting 25 mins just to order a strawberry cheesecake to go and having one of the workers to skip me on line to take the next person who was picking up an order is ridiculous. The service is very slow. It took a worker so long to acknowledge people on line waiting to be seated or to be served. The restaurant was not crowded. When finally ordering a whole cheesecake the server stated that they place the strawberries on the side in a small container, that the customer is responsible for putting it on the cake. The amount of strawberries he gave was to cover an 1/8 of the cake and when I brought it to his attention, he stated he would have to charge us more. The cake is $37.99 for a strawberry cheesecake ( which we only got a cheesecake ) and a couple pieces of strawberries on the side. Horrible experience and even the people on line stated they will not be returning and some left. We just waited because we were next on the line. If you do choose to be served here, call the store while you're inside, the worker will talk to you for as long as you keep them on the phone and acknowledge you that way.

We ordered Toojays delivery via DoorDash at 7pm --- a Rachel, fruit plate and cole slaw. This was to be our dinner. At 8pm we got a text informing us our order had been cancelled because they were out of fruit and cole slaw. What?!? It took an hour for them to determine they were out of fruit and cole slaw? They couldn't pick up the phone and call us to see if we wanted something else????? And even more egregious-- they tell us we can expect a full refund in 5 to 7 days!!!!! Outrageous. Never ordering from Toojays again!!!!!!

Do Not Order Take Out. Ordered about multiple times amd its always a hit or miss. When its a miss its bigtime. Tonight was the last time ordering take out from this place. Missing items, tasted terrible. Disputing the entire order with credt card company not even bothering with Door Dash. I want my entire 75.00 refunded. Your better off dining in. Never have delivery.

Stopped in for breakfast for the first time at 8:12. Was really excited to try a new place out. When I walked in, the restaurant was clean and the food was smelling amazing. Walked up to the host stand with a “please wait to be seated sign” but no employees in sight. I saw a waitress take to order of the only table with 2 gentlemen in it. I waited until 8:23 without being acknowledged by any staff and then walked out. Sad that I didn’t get to try any of the food, but with an 11 minute wait and no one even saying hello, I don’t have high hopes.
