Great coffee and bakery goods. Super friendly, outgoing staff who go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. Clean, open, bright space is a pleasure to spend time in.

Philz Coffee is a great stop for a good, strong cup of coffee and hearty, wholesome snacks. This location, in Downtown Lafayette, is conveniently located, spacious, and well-lit. Great staff to help with the selections. I had a delicious half-caff Americano, which features perfectly roasted Somalian coffee beans. YUM!

Philz is the best!! I always go for the iced coffee rosé, and it never disappoints. Everyone is always super excited and nice, and despite there being long lines at times, I am never waiting too long for my coffee. While the prices are higher than most coffee shops, they are what I consider appropriate for the quality and enjoyment that comes in every cup! There is lots of parking at every location I have visited, and there is space inside and outside to enjoy your coffee. They also have great baked goods. Highly recommended!!

We drive 25 min for this Philz to get a cup of coffee, eat a green chili burrito with hot sauce, then walk around downtown. The staff is always amazing and their coffee is on point. A bold, rich flavor every time. My fave is the Philtered Soul cold brew with oat milk. My husband gets the Aromatic Arabic with a splash of cream.

It's hard to resist feeling happy in a coffee shop. The smells, the brightness, and the music all contribute to a healthy morning kickstarter. Philz hits all the right notes with the cherry on top being the humanity behind the counter. The perfect place to stop if you need a pick-me-up (try the iced gingersnap by the way, thank me later).

Just about all the Philz coffee locations are 5+ stars because of the great customer service, coffee, and pastries they offer. This place always delivers at the highest standards. I came here early in the morning to meet a friend. I had their ambrosia coffee, with banana bread croissant and another pastry. Service was so good, the servers were very friendly and helpful in selecting the coffee choices. It's a cute place with interiors and exteriors. A must visit.

Coffee as always superb, the gentleman helping me (Barista) absolutely the best gave me samples of other flavors of coffee and an education on their mixture of blends. The lady cashier was also fabulous by providing a sample of Baklava to go with the sample blend. The best blend that Philz has is customer service! Not enough stars in the app for the level of service... Nothing but love for Philz! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Coffee as always superb, the gentleman helping me (Barista) absolutely the best gave me samples of other flavors of coffee and an education on their mixture of blends. The lady cashier was also fabulous by providing a sample of Baklava to go with the sample blend. The best blend that Philz has is customer service! This one is located in downtown Lafayette. Specifically at the Lafayette Mercantile Center. This one is a lot bigger than the ones I have been into. Also a nice set up. A cute hang out for a cup of coffee and a pastry. The staff were friendly. Nico helped us today. Although, I didn’t try his go to coffee, he made a very good Mint Mojito and Tesora. It’s been a while since I’ve had Philz coffee so it was as if it was my first time having Philz coffee. So it was a nice visit

Good service, good atmosphere, and very strong coffee.. Pricey for coffee but it is freshly ground so you can't complain. Had the pocketed philtered soul... It's supposed to be aromatic and sweet, flavored with hazel nut... Very strong and not sweet at all.... Added one packet stevia.. Didn't do the job.. You have to add more sweetener..

Good service, good atmosphere, and very strong coffee.. Pricey for coffee but it is freshly ground so you can't complain. Had the pocketed philtered soul... It's supposed to be aromatic and sweet, flavored with hazel nut... Very strong and not sweet at all.... Added one packet stevia.. Didn't do the job.. You have to add more sweetener..

There is trash surrounding this coffee shop all over the ground and its mostly filz coffee cups and they're just everywhere they need to put a trash can outside or have somebody go pick up the trash every once in a while.Because there's no reason you should be walking through garbage to get to the front door of the coffee shop. Have a little neighborhood pride please.

While I like Philz, and often praise their management and history, I had a bad experience today with their customer service. The cashier worker (female, mid 20s, looks Caucasian, was on the morning shift on Sunday 6/7) had a horrible idea of what is customer service. She was really irritable and snappy, talking loud and fast for no reason. Before I even ordered, she rudely interrupted to announce that I had to wait for 10 minutes because I didn’t use their app to preorder. There was no respect or actual service, as if she was the one paying me. It is just awful that the service industry has been diluted by workers who are not trained in any course on hospitality or customer management. I have been around the world and this is a peculiar phenomenon to our economy. College undergrads with no experience overtaking the real laborers of the service industry and acting rudely and arrogantly. The initial theory behind this was the savings accrued by management would be passed on to the customer but not when the coffee cup is 180% more expensive than competitors, it is then expected that trained workers would be hired. Management, ideally, should rebuke such behavior and remind their workers that they have to take their service tasks seriously, and that the customers are neither their friends nor foes, they are...customers. Otherwise, I really like some of the coffee at Phil’s and the place here on Diablo is generally friendly, where pre-covid it was a nice social spot. Overall, the place is a great addition to the local business community, but needs to hire better workers. Which is why it amounted to a 2 star-rating.

Paid $5 for a pour over (only option) and you can’t get steamed milk on the side, only cold milk. Although they froth the top of the cold milk. And you can’t pay extra for hot milk. Everything wrong with America. 😆
