We have photographed a few weddings at Terra Laguna, and it never disappoints. Tucked in the hills of Laguna beach, it photographs really well! The bridal suite has great light for getting ready photos, and the ceremony site is tucked in the hillside which gives it a nice intimate setting. The venue itself has a lot of great spots for photos at any point of the day. Its always a good time photographing here! ig @_themcfarlands_
Excellence service, food and ambience! Chef Leo stopped by to say hi. What a genuinely nice guy who is passionate about sending your taste buds to heaven! Thank you Chef!

We recently had our wedding reception at Terra Laguna, and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. Venue Coordinator, Devon: Very helpful in preparing the event and making sure it ran smoothly. Professional and attentive. Food: The food was excellent. Diverse menu and high-quality ingredients. Many guests complimented the meals. We did the plated dinner option and were very pleased with how it turned out both in presentation and taste. Space Utilization: We had our ceremony at a different location, so we used the standard ceremony area for a cocktail hour. It was a great use of space and added a unique touch to the event. The main reception area was gorgeous with the bistro lighting and unique architecture of the permanent patio cover. We had about 150 people didn’t feel cramped. Overall Experience: The venue was beautiful and well-organized. Many guests told us it was one of the best weddings they've attended. As we transitioned into nighttime, the venue seemed to grow even more beautiful. If you're looking for a venue that combines great service, good food, and a beautiful setting, Terra Laguna is a solid choice. Truly an experience we will never forget for all the right reasons.
The reviews are a bit skewed for this place. We booked our wedding with Terra Laguna Beach (though I do understand that they are a restaurant during the arts festivals) I cannot say enough amazing things about using Terra as our venue. From the first tour to all consultations with our coordinator (Dulce-who was OUTSTANDING) and details meetings up to the big day, it was more than I imagined. The pricing was extremely reasonable for our situation (we were paying for the wedding mostly on our own with little help) and we had so many people telling us how much they enjoyed our wedding and THE FOOD at our reception was one of the most complimented things about our weddings. We were the first wedding following their renovation (it was so special to be that couple) and we took a major chance booking before we saw the end result but I am so glad we did and it did not disappoint. It’s an incredible venue with amazing natural beauty that you can completely make your own or play off of its natural aesthetic! I love that you can do your ceremony and reception in different locations within the venue so you don’t have to deal with traveling from one location to another. I cannot recommend this venue enough and still think about our happy wedding day even after almost 2 years. If you book, you will not be disappointed! 🥰

Great location and ambience was very nice. Decent wine list, and the beer list wasn’t bad, although they were out of the beer i wanted. Started with hummus, very tasty. We ordered the salmon, And the lamb shank. Salmon was good, lamb shank lacked flavor but was cooked good. My description of the food was it reminded me of good wedding food. Service was good a little slow on the drinks, but there was only one bartender.
Location: Good, Parking: when you can find it, Service: Good, Presentation: Good, Reservations: a wise choice closer to stage opening. Prices for food received: for being in the location I was in, I expected to pay a premium price for my meal. Knowing that, I did enjoy my dining experience. Overall: to have this restaurant on location is a great plus to the overall experience. Our server for the evening was very on top of things as well as others who did check on us. We did get our meals faster than expected, which was great. Would I eat here again, yes. We did have a bee issue that bothered us much of the evening . This is an exterior eating location, so it is to be expected. 4.7 stars...
Terra Laguna is the perfect spot to be when you come to see the Pageant of the Masters. It is quite busy and the tables are a little close together. Expect to be bumped constantly by the wait staff but that’s my only complaint. The food is the right portion size and the taste is amazing. They have a bar but not a full bar but you can still get the standard drinks. Just don’t ask for a fuzzy navel like my mom did.

Excellent espresso martinis, meh dessert. Food itself looked decent but I didn’t have any.

This restaurant has so much potential. The scenery and setting is rustic and so beautiful. They have a friendly staff. There is room for improvement for the dishes. Some of the apps are great but the main dishes fall short on flavor and sometimes temperature. We will continue to dine there prior to the Pageant show and remain hopeful that the leadership for the festival will upgrade the food experience, one day ☺️

Food was pretty tasty and our server, Devin, was very nice. It's a bit over-priced for the quality, but that's expected at a festival/show venue. The knock-down on rating is mostly due to the sun. There are maybe 30% shaded tables here... and when we asked to move, our server checked with the hostess and they couldn't move us. (There were mannnny open tables in the shade.) Instead, they had this poor guy lug an umbrella to us, but it helped for about 10 mins. We rushed our food and left sunburned. Just as we left, another couple came in to the table next to us, and asked to be moved - they were quickly accommodated! What the hell? Anyhow - if you're coming for the pageant and want an early dinner like we did, make sure you get shade and you'll be okay.
A friend and I had dinner at Terra Laguna Beach on the evening of Sunday, July 5. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we were seated and attended to promptly. We got our drinks and ordered dinner. My friend ordered the Tomato Brined Half Chicken. I ordered the Crispy Crab Cake Iceberg Salad. Our dinners were served in an acceptable amount of time, but I noticed that we didn't receive the Warm Herb Foccacia and Garlic Lavash with Olive Tapenade which was supposed to accompany dinner. We asked the server who didn't seem to know but said he would check. We saw him looking at the menu and a few minutes later he brought the breads and tapenade, which I assume were supposed to be served before dinner as an appetizer. My friend said that her chicken was good. My Crispy Crab Cakes, while tasty, were not really crispy but more mushy. They were light on crabmeat and heavy on filler. I probably would not choose to eat there again.

If I were to summarize my experience with one word, it would be: Disappointing. First of all, let's discuss salads. I have a hard time understanding why restaurants think it's alright to server lettuce leaves that aren't chopped already. It doesn't help with presentation and makes the salad difficult to eat, and it wasn't even that good. Next: My entrée was the braised short rib. It costs nearly $50 dollars. Many people at my table ordered this. I noticed that their portions are not consistent, at all. Some folks had twice as much potatoes as others and the short ribs varied considerably in size. It was also under seasoned and bland. Everyone had to add salt. I wouldn't have minded as much if it were a $20 dollar plate, but for $50 dollars, the expectation is that you nail it and they were far from it. Finally: Dessert tested fine. Nothing amazing, yet cost 12 dollars for a tiny bowl. I typically share dessert with my wife, and the portion of this one left me unsatisfied, it is really made for a single person, but 12 dollars suggests it should be great for two. I do not recommend eating here.

It is such a shame that this very beautiful venue's food is mediocre and very expensive. The shrimp cocktail had four of the tiniest shrimp I've ever seen. The pasta was not hot. Even the coffee was extremely weak and bland. They have a 90 minute time limit policy and even though the restaurant was half empty we felt very rushed.
Terrible and chaotic service. Drinks delivered after the entrees were delivered, bread and water we had to ask for repeatedly. My entree was completely forgotten. The server, Rebecca, said the bar was backed up, everybody was new and the kitchen was in a state of constant chaos. Those were her excuses. She said she would bring complimentary desserts and those never came either. Then, we had ask and wait for our check. What a frustrating, annoying experience. We ate there last year and had a similar experience, but we thought we would give them a second chance this year. What a mistake!!! We will NOT be back, ever. It’s convenient to the pageant, but at too high a price to pay for a miserable experience.
A real underwhelming meal prior to attending the Pagent of the Masters. Very limited selection - appetizers - only 5 entree choices where each is served with a mediocre salad and tasteless bread. The prices are incredibly high - mid 30s for a small piece of salmon and low 40s for short ribs. Both were accompanied with tiny portions of lentils/potatoes and veggies. Truly under inspiring for such a beautiful location.
The food was not good and considering the prices, it was very disappointing. We sent back one dish and ended up hardly eating any of the food. The staff clearly knew we were not pleased and chose not to address it. It is a convenient location when seeing the Pagent of the Masters show but other than that it is not worth it.

Don't eat here. We have eaten here few times before and was always happy with it. This year, very unhappy. Food was awful. We had a party of 7, ordered 6 different items on the menu. Nobody was really happy with their food. Service was slow, they said lack of employees. Bill came and wasn't told that a 20% tip was already added on to bill, add another 20%. Would have been nice if they told us. Also, after looking at bill when we got home, they also added the fee charged by the credit card company. We go every year to the Pageant of the Masters and will no longer eat here, will eat in town.
We had terrible meal. My steak was so tough l could not cut it. The potatoes were cold. The hamburger was awful. The chicken was average. Why is not possible to have an outstanding meal here like we used to when the restaurant was under a different owner. The service was average. For such a beautiful venue, it is a shame to have such a horrible meal.
Underwhelming to say the least. I did not expect such low end food and service out of such a high end art exhibition. Plastic utensils, unmixed salad, dressing on the side in plasting container. Had to wait to get our ketchup for our fries that had been served first. With only two other tables occupied, we got the ketchup right in time for our fries to get cold. Glass I asked for for my sparkling water was brought out with a distinct fuscia pink lipstick along the rims. The salt I asked for never came. We took some nice portraits there though
Sat down and service took absolutely forever. Prices were extremely high for the quality of food. My steak came out extremely overcooked when I asked for rare it was barely pink in the middle almost cooked completely well done. The steak was also extremely salty and small for ~$50. My girlfriends lambchops were extremely small and again completely overcooked for $48. The lamb was not a good cut and lacked flavor, food took almost an hour to get after ordering as well. Would not recommend this place at all
