Great find. Was recommended by my neighbour and I am glad I came. The Kadhai chicken was legit. Felt like I am in a high end restaurant in Mumbai or Delhi. Drinks were fascinating and desert was awesome. Looking forward to coming again.
We held a party for 35 people. Saad was our point of contact in organizing, he was able to accommodate every request and ensured the party went smoothly. Waseem helped us out on the day of the party and he did an excellent job attending to all our guests. The food is delicious as always, we can’t wait to dine in again!
Loved the goat karahi! Service was impeccable. Thank you
Killer food, great atmosphere, friendly service. It doesn't get better than mint! We love the whole restaurant family (Khan Saab, Mint, and Shor), but Mint may eke out on top. We got 3 appetizers, two meats (goat karahi and lamb vindaloo) and two veggies (baigan bharta and the chickpeas) and everything was top in class quality. We'll be back for sure!
Best indian foods I have ever ate! the survices there also a huge plus!
For a refined dining experience that blends tradition with elegance, [ M I N T ] offers an upscale take on Halal cuisine. The ambiance is sophisticated, with modern decor and attentive service. The menu showcases a variety of meticulously prepared dishes, from tender grilled meats to flavorful rice and platters, all made with high-quality Halal ingredients. A standout is their signature lamb dish, cooked to perfection with a blend of spices that hit just the right notes. Whether you're seeking a luxurious dining experience or a special occasion venue, this restaurant is a top choice for Halal fine dining.
Delicious food and super nice staff. The host gave us free naan just because we forgot to order it. Definitely don’t miss the malai kofta and yellow daal.
It was our family's first time at Mint & it definitely didn't disappoint even our pickiest of eaters. We were beyond pleased with the cuisine! It was absolutely fantastic and didn't not lack in flavor, quality or freshness! Our taste palette was thoroughly satisfied. Everything and I mean every dish did not disappoint. And oh my the chicken tikka kabob was insanely tender and juicy. The staff was super friendly and I absolutely loved the decor! We will definitely be regulars at this hidden gem!
Excellent restaurant with great flavors. Food was authentic and delicious. It did seem way more expensive, with smaller portions, than their sister restaurants. I would recommend those before Mint, but Mint is still good
Very good authentic north indian (Pakistani) food. Five star ambience and fast efficient service. This is the first Desi restaurant in LA which can compete with restaurants in Houston.
We have been here a few times and food has been consistently good every single time. That’s why we keep coming back and always introduce this place to our friends and families who are craving for good indian cuisine. Almost always we will start off with Bandar bun - a very unique appetizer that I have never seen anywhere else. And we had the samosa chaat too. Quite a common dish in any indian restaurant, but I like how they make it here. A lil bit of sweet and sour from the sauce, and mild spice from the samosa just did it for me. And becoz we had 2 guests for dinner with us, we ordered 1 dish from different meat category so they could try them out. We had lamb chops, goat karahi, shrimp coconut curry, chicken briyani, garlic naan and bhindi masala. They were all divine! My guests went home stomach happy and since they brought home the leftovers from the dinner, I’m pretty sure they were happy with their breakfast today. My biggest sin was that we were enjoying the food so much last night, we totally forgot to take pictures!
First timer in this restaurant, i am out of words. Yama is extremely nice and friendly, told us about the family own restaurant. They cook their food with heart. Every dish is fresh cook after the order. At first, I’m hesitant to believe it. I don’t want to get my hopes up and not like the food. But it’s so rare to see a person has such passion about food and what he does. I hope that energy will never leave him. Thank you, Yama! As soon as he brought us the wok with goat Karahi, and galic naan. I started to believe everything he said. The goat meat is so soft and juicy with tons of flavor. Dipping with the fresh garlic naan and a little bit raw onion, the aroma spreads in your month. We also order lamb Biryani medium spicy. The big chuck of lamb tastes so flavorful and juicy. We ordered the best combination dishes!! Yama stopped us from ordering appetizers so we could truly enjoy how good are the food taste. Everything is unbelievable!! We will be back!
I am blown away at the service, food and the ambience of this restaurant. Everyone is very friendly and you can tell they love their job. I would too when the food is THIS good! The waiter was unbelievably patient, kind and recommended the best dishes on the menu. The mocktail list is one of the best I’ve seen. And dinner for 2 including appetizer, drinks and dessert well under $100. I will recommend this restaurant to friends and family to come. Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience. I can’t wait to come again May your business continue to prosper ***we ate all VEGAN food 10/10
Not your typical Indian/Palistani restaurant People who don’t know will compare it to pretty much other Indian food in the region. Let me tell you as a FOOD LOVER and Punjabi BORN aficionado of all things Punjabi. MINT does not fall into any comparison with ANY OTHER INDIAN RESTAURANT!!! It’s Spectacular!! This restaurant will save you thousands of dollars as you can skip your next trip to India for your fix and simply go here. We ordered- Seekh kebob Kali daal Butter chicken Goat Karahi Bhindi Masala Garlic Naans Let me tell you something!!! Better than any of these dishes in the entire USA!! You heard that right. No NYC, Chicago, Los Angels, San Francisco restaurant even compares. They are all serving a different version of the same bullshit. This is 100% Authentic Punjabi flavor. They don’t ask spice level. It’s perfect. For Indian, or American palates!! Give it a go!! Trust me!
It really gets the 5 for presentation/ambiance and some clever fusion items. Goat cheese kulcha with truffles was both unique and classic at the same time - nicely done! Falsa-tini mocktail was a great way to use a unique, non-western present berry with a good drink. The rest of the food was good - Karahi, chicken tikka and daal - more the standard fare (but clean and properly cooked). The unique items with the usual make it a great location to change it up a bit.
Mint catered my wedding welcome party and they were absolutely FANTASTIC - the food, the staff, the careful planning. They worked with the grungy space we gave them, used the space well, and set up the food in such an elegant way. We paid to have the tandoor on site so that all kababs and rotis could be cooked fresh, and it was worth it. My guests could not stop raving about the food - it was so incredible. I will 100% have them cater events for me in the future. I have also eaten in the restaurant, and the food is fantastic! Definitely eat here, and definitely ask them to cater your next event!
Great food, nice location, quite noisy quite busy. Had to ask waiter numerous times for same thing, but still good World definitely visit again. Loved the chai, love the chops. Really enjoyed the karahi too
Excellent Halal food option in Laguna Beach, tried their Samosa chaat, Chicken Tikka, Boneless Chicken Karahi and Chicken Biryani including Falsa drink everything was great
Great food and excellent service. It’s our first time here tonight and it did not disappoint. It was an amazing experience from starr to finish.
I promised my toddler chicken tikka masala, and stumbled into this spot. I called earlier to ask if they can make it mild for him to eat. FYI, they can make it both spicy or not hot. I was expecting the food to be average. Upon entering it was a really nicely decorated restaurant and the vibe is not flashly, but comfortable and elegant. This place is perfect for date night, and and family. IMPORTANT PART: The food was really good. We got the chicken korma which was full of flavor and the chicken tikka masala. Now the chicken tikka masala was the best I have ever had, anywhere period. I've been too south asian restaurants Irvine, Artesia, Diamond Bar, Toronto, none came close to this. You could tell it was made from raw ingredients and freshly made, full of flavor in every bite, and cooked to perfection. I kept trying to be fair and recall which restaurant was probably better. I have to say this is #1 period for chicken tikka masala.
I recently visited Mint in Laguna Hills, and I was blown away by the incredible flavors and warm hospitality! The chicken tikka masala was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The lamb karahi was another standout dish, packed with bold flavors and tender meat. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, making it a great spot for family gatherings or dinners with friends. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the menu and offer recommendations. I also loved the butter chicken and Dal Tadka—both were flavorful and paired well with the fresh naan. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food. I can’t recommend Mint enough if you’re craving authentic Indian and Pakistani cuisine
One of the nicest hidden gems in OC. The food is delicious! Their Afghan dishes are so unique. The atmosphere is very nice and comforting. Great for families, groups, or just date night. We love every dish on their menu! On a quest to have them all :)
Sure! Here’s We had a great dining experience at Mint Restaurant. We ordered the Butter Chicken, Goat Vindaloo, and Lamb Korma, along with garlic naan and rice. The Butter Chicken was a bit too tomato-heavy and lacked the buttery richness we expected, but the Goat Vindaloo was absolutely delicious—bold, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The Lamb Korma was the highlight, with its rich, creamy sauce and tender lamb. The garlic naan was hot, fresh, and crispy on the outside while soft inside, making it a perfect complement to the curries. The rice was also warm and fluffy. Service was excellent—attentive and friendly—and the restaurant had a classy, inviting ambiance. Overall, while the Butter Chicken wasn’t our favorite, everything else was fantastic. We’d definitely return, especially for the Goat Vindaloo and Lamb Korma!
I’m so thrilled to share that my favorite Pakistani/Indian restaurant has reopened after being closed for some time, and it’s even better than before! The renovations have completely transformed the place—it's upscale, with a softly dimmed ambiance and mellow lighting that creates a cozy, inviting vibe. The projector showing old Indian songs adds a nostalgic touch and is absolutely aesthetically pleasing. The bathrooms are beautifully done and spotless, a nice extra touch. Customer service here is top-notch, with the staff greeting you warmly and always wearing a smile, making you feel right at home. Though the space isn't huge, it was packed on a Sunday night, a true testament to its popularity. As for the food, we ordered a variety of dishes. The chicken karhai was decent but didn’t stand out much. However, the mutton karhai was exceptional—succulent and tender, practically melting in your mouth. The butter chicken was okay, not bad but also nothing spectacular. If you love lamb, the lamb seekh kababs are a must-try—deliciously flavorful! The samosa chaat was a delightful surprise and hit the right spot, with a perfect balance of chutney and yogurt that was simply irresistible. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be back. What’s even better is that the prices are more affordable than places like Khan Sahab, but the quality doesn’t fall short. Highly recommend checking it out!
Wow what a come back. Mint was my favorite halal Pakistani restaurant and my go to for takeout orders. When it had a fire accident few years back, I was sad. Finally they are back and in the same location just way much better. The restaurant has been set up to given an upscale experience. It is in a strip mall and it just so unexpected to see this trendy vibe in that location. There are plenty of parking spaces. I am glad that I made reservations it was full house. We were asked to wait for few minutes while they set up our table. This could have been done before but its ok. Then when we were seated, our waiter pointed us out the popular dishes and drinks. The seating area is nicely decorated with dark green seats and modern chairs. The ambiance is enhanced with dimmed lights and table lights. One wall is brick with a projection tv. Another wall has a big ethnic wood door. It is a nice combination of modern with ethnic elements. The appetizers were really different. Samoosa had a rich sauce on top of it and it had the right amount of spices and perfect crispness. We ordered dal, butter chicken, tandoori chicken and vegetable biryani. All of them well done though butter chicken was too oily and very few pieces of chicken could be found in it. Tandoori chicken was cooked to perfection, the spices were delightful. Naan bread was also good portion with a well balanced dough. Mocktails were a nice touch to our meal. The flavors were unique and playful. The dessert we ordered were nicely served and were appealing to the eye but flavors and textures could have been better. Gelato had a rough texture and macaroon was lacking flavors. Our waiter was very helpful and checked on us several times and explained the dishes. I am so happy to have Mint back in our neighborhood and will definitely be my to go place when Indian food craving hits. Oh bathroom is also so clean and nicely decorated Welcome back Mint!
Wow! Best Indian restaurant in LA/Orange county area. Unbeatable to be honest. GOAT Biriyani is cooked perfectly, goat falls off the bone. Chicken Karahi. Great presentation and spicy flavors to accompany the chicken as a highlight. Lamb Korma. I think my favorite dish here. Creamy base and the lamb as every other dish was cooked to perfection. Nothing bad about a single dish here. Yes it is out of the way and yes it is in a strip mall but this place needs to be a highlight of the city and should really be a center of attention. I will definitely be coming back here.

Food was good. The Goat Karahi was delish, but next time I think try the lamb, even though it wasn't on the menu.

Experience- Awesssoooomeee Food - delicious. Let me start by saying Khoshboo and her team is the best thing about MINT. We had our wedding dinner there. With everything else making our life hectic, MINT made it super easy! Can’t express how helpful and welcoming they were. I personally had many items on their menu. Starting from magnificent mocktails to the creamy chicken karahi; I even could not resist myself from tasting their lamb (I don’t eat lamb). So delicious. Thanks a lot Khoshboo and team for making our wedding dinner so enjoyable. All guests loved it. My personal favorite is gajrella though 😉
Our absolute favorite restaurant in the area! The service is always warm and friendly. The atmosphere is incredible with such attention to detail in the decor, tableware, music, etc. And of course, the food is amazing! The bandar bun, samosa chaat, chili chicken, chicken tikki masala, and chicken karahi are must trys!! This is our go-to restaurant whenever we have guests in town. Thank you Mint we love you.
Simply the best indian restaurant ever… Everything is always impeccable, that you dine in or take out or order through an app. The staff are SO kind it is actually so rare nowadays. I highly recommend Mint!!! ❤️
Mint Restaurant in Irvine is absolutely amazing! The food is packed with flavor, beautifully prepared, and consistently delicious. Every dish tastes fresh and perfectly seasoned, making it clear that a lot of care goes into the cooking. The menu has a great variety, and everything we tried exceeded expectations. The quality of the food alone makes this place a must-visit. Highly recommend Mint Restaurant to anyone looking for incredible food in Irvine!
Lamb sheesh kabab was top-notch. Perfect flavor, perfect preparation. Bengan bharta was amazing. Made my mouth water. Chicken biryani was disappointing. Chicken was not marinated even though it was cooked fine. Completely lacked flavor.

The restaurant is easy to find from Google maps. Walking in the atmosphere is nothing special. Although we were met with a friendly smiling waiter that was attentive. The menu was easy to read and prices are reasonable. We ordered the Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Chicken Kaarahi. The flavors wre good but not the best we have tasted and the chicken pieces were not great... cartilage and bones were not removed properly. And $50 for the meal was too much to pay for the quality.
I’ve heard so much about Mint since they first opened but never had a chance to visit—until recently, after they reopened following the fire. The ambiance inside is very nice and welcoming. I tried their signature chicken biryani, which was okay but not as impressive as Charminar’s. We also ordered the chicken karahi, which was just average. The service was good, though a bit slow for our small group compared to how quickly they served larger tables. Additionally, I felt that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Overall, a decent experience, but there’s room for improvement in both food quality and value for money.
This was my second visit to Mint Restaurant, and overall, it was still a good experience. The vibe is pleasant and the service was friendly and attentive. However, the food wasn’t quite as consistent as my first visit. Last time, the Chicken Karahi stood out as their best dish — flavorful and well-balanced. I may come back again and hope to have that same quality and taste on my next visit.

Always wanted to be here to try their kadhai, but they don't have any vegetarian option. On our demand, they made Paneer kadhai for us. It was ok, not so great, but I liked the fact that they made this for us. I happened to be there again. Even though the food tastes good, I don't like the wait time and the way they handle customer. It took over 15 mins just to get a glass of water. Busy kitchen doesn't answer this. If you have enough time, then only go to this place. Food would take at least 30 mins to show up on the table.
My first time at this place and had high hopes given there aren’t really any Pakistani restaurants in the area. We grabbed take out and brought it home to eat. Food was a solid B. however the prices were ridiculous. It’s not a fancy restaurant or a trendy downtown spot, it’s a hole in the wall Pakistani restaurant in a MV strip mall. 26 bucks for an order of Biryani with barely any meat in it. 17 bucks for Bhindi which literally is just cooked okra? This could have been a huge win and saved us from driving all the way to Anaheim for good Pakistani food. But in the end the mediocre+ food is just not worth the prices.
This place is definitely not one for authentic tastes. Food is catered towards the local palate meaning very bland. Items on the menu are hit or miss - paneer tikka was good. Chicken tikka was not good at all. Lamb karahi is presented well but not great tasting. There is an attempt to present the food well, but it misses the mark because neither the location nor the taste live up to that. The presentation in a wok is an interesting attempt but the sizing is off - its a massive wok, with very little quantity in it. The meat also doesn't blend well in the pre cooked gravy. Overall unlikely i visit again

Garlic naan: Was alright. Not fluffy and yummy as other places Plain naan: Literally so plain. Yikes. Dry as hell. Paneer tikka masala: This tastes like plain ghee with orange red food coloring. Absolutely disgusting. Dal makhani: This was the only good thing and it wasn't amazing either.
We were seated on these tables with most uncomfortable chairs. When asked to change they refused stating we have reservations but the restaurant was 80% empty. Our food arrived, Biryani and paneer tikka. Food was bland. After finishing we asked 2 servers for check. After waiting 20mins, got up paid and left without the leftovers because no one bothered to attend us. Never going back.
This restaurant assumed that their customers are stupid and created a ripoff deal for Valentine Day. Offering a so called 4 course meal with an experimental appetizer valued no more than $5 plus a pice of warm bread with cheese for hardly another $10. Then arrived the main dishes with only 5 options each worth hardly more than $25 with the last course which was a 2 inch square wet cake for two person worth may be $10. You add them all up you will end up with a $75 dollar meal value but they charged its customers $130 plus tax and tip. Truly unfair. While this restaurant generally offers good food with only some dishes overpriced. This time and for Valentine they really planned a ripoff and assumed that no one will notice. Sorry people are not stupid. We hope you make a note of this and don’t try it again.
