Our 4.0 Top tried LBS on a whim when other dinner plans went awry. Walked in at 5:30pm on a Friday w/o a reservation & was seated right away. Didn't know what to expect Atmosphere Place is intimate & well designed ..Tables not to close together & noise level is conversation friendly . Service Outstanding at all levels !!. Maitre D , Bartender & a special shout out to our server . Friendly & informative but not over the top attentive & gracious. Best service I've had in awhile dining out. Food Two of our party ordered steaks. They were prepared correctly & well seasoned . One party had Chicken milanese & thought it was a bit overdone . Last party had the Walleye. It had the Skin on & while the fish was very tasty . The skin was a bit soggy & took a little bit away ..Hence the 4.0 stars Sides Normal Steakhouse sides ..nothing remarkable, but tasty as well. 2.0 cents New place just getting its legs & Im sure in a few months it will be a fine dining destination

My wife brought her mother here for her 99th birthday and we received exceptional service in addition to the exceptional food. Our server gave us, especially my mother-in-law, personal attention, above and beyond! We are planning to come back next year "for the big one"!

The place is new so we gave it a try. It is probably the better steakhouse than most of the other places. Of course being a chef for celebrities does require you to be special. This is the reason why the tenderness of the meat was well done. The texture also showed high quality on food. It is worth the time for such experience.

Lake Barrington Steakhouse is the best choice in the area for traditional steakhouse cuisine. I had Stuffed Mushrooms and Bang Bang shrimp for appetizers. The mushrooms melt in your mouth. When eating the shrimp make sure to drown them in the sauce provided as it really ups the flavor with rich firey creamy goodness complimenting the perfectly fried shrimp. For dinner, I had the dry-aged Ribeye steak which burst with flavor. The asparagus and baked potato sides were great with the asparagus seasoned making it the best asparagus I've had to date. Portion sizes are MASSIVE! I could not finish my meal and took it home.. I actually ate two more meals from my take home. The service staff was plentiful, very attentive, extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout. Lake Barrington Steakhouse delivered great value with inspiring flavorful dishes and massive portion sizes, you can be sure to be satisfied.

Lake Barrington exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

I Was in town visiting my family and heard about this amazing place. Came in this past Saturday, first day of BHM! My bartender was Matthew! He was awesome. Although it was pretty busy, he was still very attentive. My drinks were made to perfection and my steak was absolutely amazing! Kudos to all the staff but Matthew was my favorite! I’ll definitely be back to see him, and that steak the next time I’m in town. Lol Keep up the great work!!!

My steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I could not ask for better service. My spouse is vegetarian and he found the stuff mushrooms and pasta side dishes amazing.

Went out with the wife before valentines day great food and drinks made for taste not over poured. Pretty quiet place portions were large definetly left feeling full. 10/10 would recommend.

The food was incredibly flavorful, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an amazing dining experience. The drinks were great as well. It was the perfect amount of flavor and alcohol.

Such a fabulous place. From the moment you step in the door service is excellent! The steaks are melt in n your mouth and the fish is amazing!

Everything was wonderful. My husband and I decided to do an early Valentine’s dinner. We walked in and were greeted cheerfully and immediately walked to a table. Our server Michael was great. I tried a new drink. A cucumber raspberry mule. It was delicious. The chicken Milanese was perfect. My husband enjoyed a ribeye. We will definitely return.

We celebrated our anniversary at LBS this week. First, the hospitality and service are unmatched anywhere. We felt truly welcomed! We were greeted with champagne, roses and a lovely card in honor of our 42nd anniversary. The food!!! We started with stuffed mushrooms...you could make this a meal and be truly satisfied! The steaks were prepared to perfection...flavorful and "melt in your mouth" delicious! Our dessert was this amazing peach cobbler, topped with ice cream...reminded me of the way my mother made it down south! We will be regular customers...no doubt about it!

My husband ordered the filet mignon, and I had the ribeye—both cuts were top-tier and cooked to absolute perfection. Oh, and by the way the sweet potato cheese cake was amazing! Next time I want to try the peach cobbler that was sold out. Bummer! The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and inviting—what I’d call vintage fine dining. It’s a family-owned business, and you can feel the love and pride in every detail. One of the most touching elements was the artwork displayed throughout the restaurant, painted by the owner’s daughter. Her talent adds a personal and artistic charm to the space. To top it all off, the chef himself greeted us—and we later learned he was once Michael Jordan’s personal chef! That alone speaks volumes about the caliber of the cuisine. Living in Cary, we’re thrilled to have such a high-quality, heartfelt dining experience right in our neighborhood. My husband and I went here for dinner on a Friday night. Atmosphere was really nice and festive. The burger is amazing!! And the fries were as well. Muscles were some of the best we’ve ever had. French onion soup was delicious. Wedge salad was huge and fabulous! Definitely coming here again!

We stopped in on a busy night without a reservation and the hostess was welcoming and thoughtful and was able to accommodate us. The food was delicious and our server Hope was an absolute delight. It is very apparent that the staff are top notch and have pride in their establishment. We dine quite often and are excited to have found a new favorite!

Two of us arrived at LBS at 4:45 on a Wednesday during October 2025. We were greeted warmly and quickly shown to our reserved table and were provided with several seating options in the dining room. Our server was very knowledgeable regarding the regular menu items, the specials of the day, and the wine list. When the warm bread arrived, we ordered the Bada-Bing Shrimp and Onion Soup as appetizers, the Walleye Pike and 16oz Prime Ribeye as entrees and for a shared dessert, their Peach Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. One expects excellent service and delicious food when visiting lhigh-end restaurants. We experienced both and could not have been happier with our experience. We wondered how this gem eluded us over our more-than-ten-year stay in nearby Kildeer but then learned they only opened during January of 2025. We highly recommend Lake Barrington Steakhouse for a five-star dining experience.

My husband and I have driven past this place since it opened and have been wanting to stop in. We finally did on Oct 23 and could not have been more impressed. From the front of house manager holding the door open for us, offering a warm welcome and consistently checking in throughout our dining experience, to the bartender dropping our drinks tableside and explaining the flavors and notes of each spirit, and of course our server, Erika. She really was the cherry on top of the sundae. Her warm personality coupled with her expansive knowledge of the menu and gluten free substitutes made the experience really wonderful. Oh, also, the food was fantastic. We had mussels and a lobster tail for appetizers, filet and strip for enteees and a scoop of decadent vanilla bean ice cream paired with a shot of espresso for dessert. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, WE'LL be back.

Made a reservation for 8pm for 4 people, parking lot was empty, when we 1st walked in the host was great her energy was fantastic & she was checking up on us throughout the dinner (assuming she was the manager) this spot is really nice on the interior. For apps we got the shrimp and mussels they were delicious especially with that shrimp sauce that came with it. Server was attentive and did a good job 👍🏽 our food was so flavorful and delicious the green beans were great too. Mac & cheese was sooooo good! The asparagus needed a little salt but that’s fine. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake and peach cobbler and let me tell you the PEACH COBBLER WAS AMAZING. I’d come back again

We had an incredible experience at Lake Barrington Steakhouse. 6 of our friends joined us and we all absolutely loved our food! Our server was great and Sean of course, couldn’t be sweeter! Truly a jewel of a restaurant.

Amazing experience for our anniversary. The host/manager here was fantastic as well as Lauryn our waitress. The dry aged steak outstanding and my wife loved the fish. We will definately be coming back soon.

Drove 30 minutes to try this place out. I will say well worth it. The dry aged ribeye of 28 days was just wow amazing best steak I’ve had in years. Great atmosphere met the chef and I told him he was one amazing chef and his food was hands down one of the best. Highly recommended will definitely be going back again.

First and foremost, the service from Matt the bartender was fantastic. The lady, who is the hostess, who I believe is also the owner, was delightful, Her hospitality was charming. Dinner was delicious I don’t live here, but when I come back, I will visit again - top notch!

The entire staff is so friendly and helpful.We had the pleasure to work with Hope, Corrine and Barb on New Years Eve. The entire experience from the food to the service was outstanding.Highly recommend!

I just passed this steakhouse one day and noticed it for the first time. Did a little research and the reviews were really positive overall, so decided to bring the wife here for our anniversary. The hostess opened the door and greeted us as we got out of our vehicle in the parking lot. It was not overly busy and upon walking in noticed 3-5 tables with groups at them and a single person at the bar. Ambiance is good, clean and airy upon walking in. We waited a moment to be seated and were encouraged to wait at the bar if we’d like. Upon being seated we immediately received waters. A few moments later, our server came and introduced himself, asked if we’d been there before and explained the menu. He provided few good recommendations for drinks and we placed our drink order. He brought a fresh loaf of bread back while we waited for drinks. The drinks were great - I had their signature smoky old fashioned and my wife had a peach sangria. Both were delicious. We heard about the specials and then placed our order for food. I ordered the French onion soup, an 8oz filet, medium well (so sue me), with fries as a substitute for the baked potato, and the green beans. My wife ordered an 8oz ribeye, baked potato and the green beans. We also ordered one side of the Mac and cheese to try. Right before the soups came out, the hostess brought over a card for our anniversary and a complimentary Champaign toast. Extremely thoughtful and generous. I’m not sure what the Champaign was but it was tasty. The French onion soup was some of the best I’ve had. The flavor was great, onions tender, cheese nice and toasty. If I could give any feedback, it would be that a slightly larger crostini could be used and the cheese be just a bit more well done, but it was amazing as was. There was just the right amount of time in between the soup and dinner, with a moment to digest and talk before the main course was brought out. The steaks were both cooked to perfection. Juicy, flavorful and in my top 5 best steaks I’ve had at any restaurant anywhere. The green beans for me were a bit undercooked but appeared to have been grilled - the flavor was great. My wife’s were perfect, so just a miscalculation on cook time. The French fries were literally the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know if they cook them in tallow or add broth but the flavor was incredible, they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Mac and cheese was good also, very creamy and a nice toast on top. Portion sizes are average to above average, we could have done without the additional side but wanted to try some options on the menu. We brought home an order of the lollipop chops for a family member as well as the peach cobbler as a late night desert. All were great. Overall, 10/10. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It’s pricy, understand that going in. However, what do you get? Near 1:1 attention, great recommendations, perfect food and a nice quiet / romantic atmosphere. Don’t hesitate to try this place for a special occasion or nice night out with your spouse or a date. We’ll definitely return.

I absolutely loved the wagyu steak, the shrimp, and the dessert…everything was sooo good! The dessert was my favorite 😍 I’ll definitely be coming back!

Really high quality filet cooked to perfection. Friendly and professional wait staff. Lots of repeat customers here for a reason. Wife had walleye that was very good too. Give it a try for sure.

We brought a friend last night. There ambiance is very nice. The food and service are excellent. The Prime filet was prepared perfectly and delicious - melts in your mouth. Halibut and Salmon were delicious also. The wine list has some unique affordable selections. The deserts we're wonderful. Don't miss this restaurant.

We went to LBS for NYE. The food was superb and Erica was a fantastic server. Definitely will come back.

Heard about this new amazing place from a friend of mine. She talked it up. After I went there I don't think she said enough. The food was amazing. I'm still thinking about the asparagus. The service was perfect and it was super nice that the manager Marissa came by our table and told us the "story" of the steakhouse. Go there today to have a great meal and hear the story for yourself.

The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. My well done steak was made to perfection - moist and delicious. My husband’s salmon was also delicious. The cannoli cake is to die for. It’s a five star restaurant in my book and the prices were incredibly reasonable. This restaurant is just as good as any steakhouse you’ll find in Chicago. In fact, it has BETTER service and BETTER made food than what you’ll find in Chicago because everything was done with attention to detail. What a treat to have such a locally owned steakhouse in our backyard. We will definitely be frequent diners! It’s a gem! If you haven’t tried it yet, check it out. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Best steak I have had in a while. we sat at the bar. Service was slow. We had to ask the bartender if he could take our order- both for drinks and dinner. That needs fixing. Otherwise great food!! Update- went back 3 weeks later- Good was just as great- service was awesome!

Went there recently with my parents for their wedding anniversary. We went on a Sunday at about 5:30 PM. I mentioned to the server that it was their anniversary and she was nice and brought over a Glass with three or four flowers in it. She and the other server on duty that night were very very nice. I ordered the steak I wanted, which was very expensive and my parents ordered their meals. After waiting a short time, I was told that the steak I had ordered was sold out and I would have to choose another. Begrudgingly, I did so and it was very good, but it wasn’t the one I wanted. After she serves our meals, and when she came to check on us, she told us to Save room for dessert. She mentioned how great the peach cobbler was and then it was more than enough for the three of us. We told her that we were interested in that and we’d like to order that for dessert. She said she would put the order in. Upon hearing how good the peach cobbler was the table next to us Ordered it also. When we were finished with our meal, we asked her to bring out the peach cobbler. The two tables next to us got theirs. Again, she came back a few minutes later and said that they had sold out of the peach cobbler at 6:30 at night. She asked if we wanted to choose something else, she recommended the cheesecake, which was good, but it was barely enough for two people let alone three. This was the second time we’ve been there. The first time was right around Halloween and it was very loud and hard to have a conversation. I rate the food very high, but it’s also extremely expensive. A side of asparagus, which Includes four or five spears is over $10. I don’t know that I recommend it enough that I would go back there again. I’m very sure my parents won’t either and they live right down the street.

I enjoyed the dry aged steak but my friends thought it could've been seasoned more. I wish the drinks were better for the price point. The colada looked like pepto. I enjoyed the italian sweet cherry margarita. Great atmosphere and artwork.

Food was great, a bit over priced but taste was wonderful… 5 stars to the chef/boh! Service/foh was sub par at best… The server didn’t know how to prebus, be efficient, or split a bill… It took him almost an hour to figure it out how to split the check (and the entire foh staff gave attitude when we approached them about the bill during that hour). If you want a place that doesn’t have a lot of people, this is it!

Service was excellent! Way too loud for what we paid. $720 dinner for 4 people and the steak was so so at best. Ordered mashed potatoes instead of baked potato and they just took a baked potato and mashed it somewhat and served it with zero seasoning, butter, or sour cream. I got the 12oz bone in filet for $98 plus drinks. Tonight imade a t bone at home i bought for $18 at jewel osco and it was 100 times better. I camt hate on the staff, they were amazing! As for the food... go to texas road house. You will have a better meal!!

I'll start by saying the drinks were amazing. I wish I could say the same about the food. I ordered a medium rare steak and what they brought out resembled a very well done steak. Upon cutting into the steak I realized it was well done with zero seasoning. The sides were as dry as the steak. I couldn't bite into the first green bean I tried because it was so hard. Definitely could have been cooked more unlike the steak. The baked potato even with the sour cream and butter was very dry. For the price of the meal I expected way better food. Service was good however I cannot recommend this place to anyone I love. I guess I should have known when the parking lot only had 3 cars.
