The portion , large pizza, was really large and its price was reasonable.

My husband and I were the only two in the restaurant but the phone was ringing a lot for Take out. The pizza was delicious. Apparently the chicken parmesan is very good because at least half of the phone orders was for chicken parm.

Simple pizza place for reasonable prices. After climbing Giant mountain my friend and i had 2 slices left of a large meat lover pizza. We were stuffed and satisfied.

We ate there twice in two days. The pizza's were very good especially the crusts on the plain and Sicilian pies. The plain crust was light and crisp with great flavor, not soggy or limp. The Sicilian crust was perfect. The outside was flaky like a fresh loaf of Italian bread while the inside was light and airy. The kids ate crusts which is a substantial compliment. Will definitely eat many pies from there on our return trips.

We always order from main st pizza whenever we are in Lake Placid. This time around, we enjoyed the Grandma pizza and Poutine so much, we ordered 2 nights in a row of our 5 day vacation. Great salads and veggie pizza, too!

Very impressive! I ordered thin-crust Grandma's Pizza and salad. They delivered within 45 minutes. They have a friendly staff, fantastic pizza and it's reasonably priced. I will definitely be ordering from them again soon!

My fiancé and I ordered a Caesar salad and a baked ziti to share for dinner last night and it was perfect. The ziti was absolutely phenomenal. It was cheesy and cooked to perfection. Walked up and down main st looking to get dinner for my daughter and nieces bday as we were in town to do some zip lining. EVERY SONGLE RESTAURANT denied us an hour before their google listings said they closed. So we walked back to our motel and started googling and found this place and they answered the phone and even delivered to our motel door. The food was AMAZING, the delivery guy was nice and apologetic as the ticket had the wrong motel.. but he called me and we sorted it out very quickly. Businesses like this are rare and retire my faith in humanity. Best pizza I’ve had in upstate NY. Wonderful service. Thanks for making our trip

This is by far one of the safest and best place to eat in this area , the pizza are very good and crisp , and flavorful, it could use a make over from the inside but it is pretty good. The service is pretty quick and the lady at the front was helpful . Definitely a place to check out and out of all places here, this is the one you should go to

We made a last minute decision to order to our hotel room after viewing the menu and affordable prices. Expecting the standard pizza shop experience. However this was some of the best high quality Italian food I have had in a long time. The penne alla vodka w bacon and mushrooms was out of this world and the greek salad dressing on pt! I am positive its all homemade. Delivery was exceptionally SLOW and highly recommend just picking it up, shirt walk down the hill from ice rink. We complained after an hr wait and a manager greeted us less than 10 min later. So thankful we saw your menu at our hotel. We saved big bucks and still got a gourmet Lake placid experience without breaking the bank.

My husband and I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with bread stick and antipasto salad and had it delivered to our hotel room last night and they said it would be 45 minutes and it arrived in 22 minutes and it was hot! The best pizza place in Lake Placid

Best grandma's pie around, no matter how busy they are the food is always consistent, looks good tastes even better. I'm from downstate and this is the closest you can get to a NYC Pizza in the adk . I saw some reveiws complaining about their service and wait times in my opinion I'd rather go to a place that I know is gonna be good even if I have to wait a few more minutes. No matter how busy or light staffed they are they never compromise quality. Don't let the negative reveiws deter you from trying the food here, you won't regret it. It's a hidden gem . And you can't beat the prices.

On a Friday night almost all of the places in town were overwhelmed with tourists and we just needed some quality dinner after hiking all day- Main Street was awesome answering the phone happy to take our order and had everything ready in 25 mins. Large cheese, antipasto, and chicken parm all were great and coming from a local NYer that's high praise! The absolute best pizza for the price. It's 100% no frills with a complete focus on quality food. The no frills portion is the only reason I deducted any stars, which in my opinion isn't fair. It should not be rated on atmosphere if it doesn't try to be atmosphere-focused.

Had the best takeout pizza from this place last Friday! The Grandma's pizza tasted great with juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, and a crispy crust. The sauce & cheese were delicious and the pizza wasn't too doughy. Probably best slice of pizza I've had in my life! Worth the wait on a busy night, plus it was a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Great carbo load for hikers!

For some reason we had trouble finding good customer service at restaurants in Lake Placid. It was totally refreshing to finally get some at a pizza place. The staff was super friendly, funny, and helpful. Food arrived earlier than expected and it was delicious. Best garlic knots I've had in years (we order them all the time) and pizza was great. Unlike one reviewer, we actually visited Main Street Pizza. It was mid week on 9/9/20. A close walk from our hotel made it very conveinient. We loved the place. It reminded us of home town pizzarias from our past. It was a one man operation and our one man confirmed he was the owner. I forgot to ask his name, but he was very friendly and attentive. I can't say how service might be when it gets very busy, but I bet he would do his best. We we're fortunate to be the only sit in customers at the time of our visit. Now the best part. We had a large sausage and cheese pizza and two ginger ales. The pizza was excellent. It was thin crust with the slight pizza oil that made for a pizza experience the way it use to be.by far the best surprise and meal we have had on our vacation. I wish the pizzarias down near us would get back to real pizza like this. If and when I get back to Lake Placid, this will be a destination rather than just a meal when on vacation.

DELICIOUS pizza! Even better than the pies we had in NYC, and those were good too! Two pies (meat lovers and white pizza), antipasti salad, and poutine ready in 20 minutes, just -after- I overheard that they’d received an $80 and a $100 order prior to mine. Both pizzas were the best of their kind we’ve ever had, no joke. Creamy ricott on the white pizza, just the right amount and variety of meat on the meat lover’s. Was so good I overate. Super friendly staff, too. Don’t listen to the complainers on here… it is super good pizza! Check my other reviews; I’m not from the area and have no skin in their game.. just was really impressed with the food and staff.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Main Street Pizza!!! When ever I ordered anything for delivery, I do so through main street. They have always been on time or earlier then estimated. The food has always been hot and fresh. From all of my dealings with them, they are straight forward. They were busy one night and they let me know right away it probably would be a longer wait then normal. I have alot of respect for this establishment and for the owner. We ordered this pizza twice when visiting Lake Placid, the whole family loved it! It was not oily like the other pizza restaurants. The crust tasted really fresh and good too, was not too thick or too thin. We tried different pizzas, veggie, hawaiian, white pizza and all were very good! Definitely recommend it if you want pizza thats tasty and not greasy!

Large cheese pizza tonight was ready at time promised for pick-up. We asked for a thinner crust ✅ which was very good. The cheese had nice soft texture and taste. Last-minute ordered garlic knots were fresh/puffy with good flavor. I am a pizza snob (Staten Island, Bklyn, NJ). I'd order here again. It's not fancy inside. I hate too much oregano; this pizza had just a touch. I don't know if other reviewers hit on an off night but we were happy.

This was our first time here and we were glad we came. The pepperoni pizza slices were hot and delicious, tasted just like in New York City. I also ordered a Caesar salad and it was amazing. The lettuce was crisp, with large fresh slices of Parmesan and little pieces of fresh bread for the croutons. The Caesar dressing is also very good. I was concerned because it was a Friday night and the town was so busy but they weren't very busy inside, but seemed to be with takeout. The only negative was how long of a wait for breadsticks as a second thought order. But those to were really good and worth the wait.

Pizza was hot and delicious. We ordered the Everything. It was cut in 6 large pieces which served 3 adults nicely. One of us ordered Greek side salad which was good but maybe a bit overpriced. The staff was very friendly.

Unfortunately couldn't take photos as we had a take.out. we were too hungry from the travel to take pictures There was only one guy when we reached there and he was doing his best to get us the food as fast as possible. He was honest and kind to let us know the dishes that might take time and therefore we went for a veggie pizza. The toppings were great and no stingy behavior there. The flavors were good too. I'm in town for the Empire State Winter games. Ordered delivery. Grandma's Pie with a side of poppers. As far as the pizza goes, I don't care if you're from Lake Placid, Albany or NYC, it's really good pizza. The sauce in January tasted like it was fresh out of a garden. Crust was slightly overdone but with the additional sauce, it basically turned into bread sticks with an amazing dipper.

Stopped by for a pizza after spending the day in Lake Placid and the pizza was just okay. Waited awhile to just order and people actually left without ordering because no one was consistently working the front counter.

Owner was friendly, food was decent minus 1 exception where my Calzone was burnt pretty bad. It's a one man show right now because of Covid. But give him a chance and support.

Gotta say was pretty disappointed with the pizza here. It was hard to pick a pizza spot in town since everybody had a 4.2 review on Google. I stuck with this one because recently they received some good reviews. To start off with the positive the sauce and cheese were really good and the man at the front was really kind and apologetic about the pizza being late. Now to the bad... When walking in the room is filled with smoke and I honestly wanted to wait outside in the freezing cold because of how bad it smelled. The crust was absolutely dry and terrible. They fix the crust. I would recommend this place. I hate reviewing a place badly because of their quality customer service, but they need to improve their pizza.

Ordered pepperoni, mushroom, sausage pizza and add green peppers on one half, received mushroom, sausage, green peppers and onion(??) on half and just cheese on the other half, no pepperoni to be found and definitely did not ask for onion (they give my husband heartburn!) ...they did make good on it and bring us a new pizza and the pizza itself was tasty but probably not a place I’d order from again

While the cheese pizza was fine (good crust, cheese wasn’t excellent), overall I’d recommend avoiding eating in this restaurant Everything inside just reads like the owners/workers have no pride in the place. The fountain soda was broken, nearly every thing on the wall was crooked (like does no one care?), no music, and the workers seemed annoyed to be there on a Saturday night. AVOID THE BATHROOM AT ALL COSTS. It might be the most disturbing bathroom inside a restaurant I’ve ever seen. There are multiple other pizza places in the area that are better choices.

Good prices but you get what you paid for. Ordered chicken calzones and they tasted bland. The pizza on the counter looks like congealed fat and days old. The table next to us never got their food even though they were there well before us. Pretty awful service and food.

Was recommended this pizza place when I was starving and expected a great experience with timely delivery. I was told the delivery would be 40 minutes, however it took 90 minutes to get here. The white pizza was extremely disappointing, I would not even eat it. The olive pizza was subpar.

If you need some quick food, this is the place. However local residents advise that some quality alternatives have opened up in the area. Personally, I don't love the style of pizza served here. The pizza here is greasy and the crust is dry -- if you like that style, you're in luck. Other good news is they are relatively generous with the toppings. A better option is the pasta dishes. The employees here will help you, but are not all about customer service and take a little bit of work to warm up. Summary: If you're starving and walking along Main Street, you will be fed here. If you have a few minutes, take a little time to look at your options.

It's mainly a take out place. You can eat in, but it's not very inviting. The pizza is decent, but the service is awful. It can take an hour or more to get a pizza, not because they're slammed. It seems like sheer ineptitude to me. In response to their response: even when I've ordered the minute they open, it still takes about an hour to get a pizza. So, unless you're taking special masses of orders secretly, before you're open, then I have a very good idea. It has happened every time of three. Also, the website is horribly out of date, with extremely wrong prices, and things they say they offer, which they don't, like pizza by the slice. When I mentioned to a man taking orders, he made it clear he couldn't care less.

Food is okay. The issue is lack of sanitation. I offered food 20 min before closing and it was a 1 man shop. He handled the money, tossed the dough and handled the trash without gloves or washing his hands. Not cool.

Placed an order for delivery at 5:07 pm and didn't get my order until 6:35 after it was said that I would receive it in a half hour. The delivery driver went to the wrong address well after the 30 minute mark. The chicken parm and garlic knots were beyond soggy. Never ordering from them again if I'm back in town. My co-worker had the same issue ordering from them this evening.

Spent 30 minutes trying to reach them by phone. Either all circuits were busy or the phone rang until automatically disconnected. Sunday in August 6-6:30pm. Went with another pizza place nearby that was quite good.

If I could give zero stars I would. These staff are so unprofessional. I completely understand being busy but you should be honest with your customers. For example the manager/ owner hung up on me after our order was delivered over 2 hours late. I called the restaurant multiple times to see where our order was. Finally after 35 calls our phone call was answered. The staff member who answered stated that it would only be a couple more minutes and that the driver should be there any minute. I called back about 30 minutes later and spoke to a man that stated that they were really behind and apologized for being late and stated they would call their driver and would call me back within 2 minutes. The staff member never called me back. The driver finally showed up and stated that the restaurant took orders before ours and we were told (by the driver) that the owner was the one who was answering the phone at this time. The driver was very apologetic but I want to point out that I called this restaurant back to express my frustrations and the so called owner hung up on me after expressing my frustration that they weren’t being honest with their delivery times and hadn’t delivered the delivery within the hour that they stated they would. They stated they got behind that’s why they were late. I called the restaurant and the woman who answered refused to refund our order. Our pizza was barely warm by the time we received the pizza. The woman who answered me was completely unprofessional and just giving excuses and stated that they wouldn’t refund our order since it was over $90.00. After telling her that our order arrived incorrect- since they added mushrooms to the order- she then only offered to refund us for the incorrect pizza since the guest of our party was allergic to mushrooms. I have never ordered from such an unprofessional business. I would never order from this business again.

If I could give zero stars I would. We went in placed our order the girl checking us out forgot to give my debit card back in the mean time someone had come back in at the same time and they hadn't given his back either. Ordered 2 sodas as we were dining in, we never received them, had to get back up and ask for them. They never came and checked on us and we never received our appetizer of garlic knots. After an hour of waiting and hearing that the people that were there before us would still be 5 more minutes checked on our order only to find out our food ticket was never handed in.. after an hour!!! So I asked for a refund and left. Can't even review the food as we never got any. Very poor customer service!

STOP!!! Upon walking in, we realized it wasn't a clean/upscale place, less than diner quality. However, we trusted reviews. Then upon ordering Italian dinners, we were advised the delivery hadn't come in and they were out. Ok, now we know the pasta dishes are frozen. We thought we ( wife, two young kids & myself) would settle for a pizza and split a large ceasar salad. They brought out one (1) paper plate only, with enough silverware though (they got one thing right). Just prior to my kids digging in, I noticed ALL of the "fresh" sliced parmesan cheese ( about 1/4 lb.) covering the entire salad moldy, along with a long hair in the salad. We politely told them to cancel our order, advised them about the hair and mold, and left. NOT worth the food poisoning. This place NEEDS a health inspector in there ASAP before someone pays the price.

We got a large pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. If you’re from the area, the pizza may be good enough for you. If you’re from Jersey or NYC, do NOT buy food from this place. The cheese on the pizza was absolutely HORRIFIC. We couldn’t even finish the pizza; that’s how bad it was. The garlic knots were tasteless. It was simply a ball of dough with oil on top. When we stopped by to get our food for takeout, the place was empty. Now we know why. The food here gave us all really bad stomachaches. We do NOT recommend this place.

Hello I went to and order from main street I ordered a small pizza and 10 mild wings and soon as I heard the cost. 42$ dollars i think this is really ridiculous as a price for a small pizza and wings and two sodas. I will never go there again

One of the saddest pizzas and saddest people I’ve seen in my entire life. One large veggie pizza and 3 drinks costed 34 dollars. Do not go here ever, just bite the bullet and go somewhere else. If you do go here, do not use the bathroom under any circumstances.
