If you're staying at the hotel or just passing thru town - it's worth the stop, for lunch or dinner. The menu has range and the food has flavor and the staff is friendly. The space is cozy - whether you're eating inside or sitting out on the patio and taking in the view of the lake.
We had a garden salad with steak. The steak was cooked to perfection. My friend had gnocchi which was delicious.. Our server Joey was so friendly and helpful. He was amazing!!
A Culinary Delight and a Chance Encounter with a Charming Soul Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dancing Bears Restaurant in the heart of Lake Placid, and I must say, it was an experience that tickled my taste buds and touched my heart. Not only did this hidden gem deliver an exceptional culinary adventure, but it also introduced me to a young man who left an indelible impression on my evening. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by an inviting ambiance, where soft lighting and tasteful decor set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff exuded warmth and professionalism, ensuring that every guest felt like an esteemed visitor. The menu boasted a fusion of flavors, showcasing both local and international influences. Each dish was a masterpiece, crafted with precision and creativity. The chef's attention to detail was evident in every bite. From the tender, melt-in-your-mouth lamb shanks to the delicate yet flavorful seafood risotto, my taste buds danced with delight. The culinary team's dedication to sourcing fresh, seasonal ingredients was apparent in the vibrant colors and exquisite flavors that graced each plate. While the food alone would have made for an extraordinary evening, it was an unexpected encounter that made the experience truly unforgettable. As I sat at my table, captivated by the culinary symphony before me, I couldn't help but notice a striking young man a few tables away. His elegance and poise were undeniable, but what caught my attention even more was the kindness that emanated from his eyes. Although we only met briefly, Evan Petosa, I hope you see this and the chance of the universe brings us together again.
I’ve been here a few times on my visits to Lake Placid and this was the first time trying the dancing bear burger! It’s a decently big burger so I split this with my boyfriend and it was perfect! Our server Radenko was the best! I didn’t even ask for him to split the burger and have it on separated plates but he did! Our plates came out and our fries and burger were perfectly cooked and split down the middle which was so unexpected but very much appreciated! He was so kind and filled up our waters multiple times which was great! All and all, a great dining experience with an amazing server!
The breakfast here is good! Recommend the ranchero bowl!!
We frequent Lake Placid as a get away spot a few times a year, and had never eaten at the Dancing Bear. Unable to find a restaurant that would open for dine in guests, we were pleased to find the Dancing Bear. We came in on Wednesday night for dinner, and not only was the service superb, but the food was really good and reasonably priced. We couldn’t believe as we left that we had never eaten there before. We were also impressed with the location and the atmosphere. We liked it so much we returned again on Friday and our experience was even better. Our server was informative, pleasant and kind. The food again was outstanding, the portions are generous, and... when we were getting ready to leave we had about half of our Nacho appetizer remaining, not only did our server offer a to go box, but she also brought us additional portions of Guacamole, Salsa, and Sour Cream in newly packaged to go containers. We were not billed for this! I have never in my life experienced service like this at any restaurant. Not only will we be back, but we give our highest recommendation. Thanks to all of the staff at Dancing Bear. Nick and Georgia
Wonderful restaurant!!!! Our server Dominique was so sweet and helpful!!
Had late breakfast at Dancing Bear. I had blueberry pancakes, and a Greek yogurt parfait with granola and berries. Everything was excellent. My BF had eggs benedict, home fries and bacon which was really good too. Service was very efficient, and waiter was friendly. Coffee refilled several times without asking. The restaurant is right in the village and had large floor to ceiling windows and overlooks Mirror Lake. All in all, good experience and delicious breakfast.
We had lunch at The Dancing Bears Restaurant today and the service was excellent. Karem was our server and she went above and beyond to satisfy our requests and insure we enjoyed our meal. She was very polite and friendly. The food and the facilities were very good. The view from the upper deck was very nice. We will definitely return for another meal.
Great food , great mimosas and our server Dominique was great !
My finance and I came here for dinner after a trip on the mountain. We got there just in time, because shortly after getting seated there seemed to be a waitlist because many people were approaching the bar to get drinks while they wait for their table. Our server was very kind and attentive. We got the brussel sprouts and Swedish meatballs as an appetizer which were absolutely immaculate, especially the Swedish meatballs; and for our entree, we decided to get the BBQ chicken pizza (no onion, added bacon) to share, which was clearly baked fresh in house. With the food being phenomenal and the cozy ambiance, we will most definitely be returning.
Ate here for lunch after staying at the High Peaks Lodge. Dined right on the patio overlooking the lake. Great service. The gluten free bread is really tasty and I got a Rachel (like a Ruben but with Turkey). It was so delish! The staff was accommodating of my gluten and tree nut allergies.
It was the best restaurant experience of the trip. The wait staff was super nice. The bartender gave my Aunt some an extra cosmo drink on the house because she liked it so much. The food was delicious. Everyone in my family enjoyed it.A little bit pricey but that’s with any restaurant on main street in Lake Placid.
I liked the food. The staff are nice and helpful. Thanks!
We came here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We sat outside and had a nice view of Mirror Lake and the mountains. Our server was kind and friendly and made an effort to understand us although it was evident that English is not his first language. We enjoyed the local IPAs and the burgers were brought to us pretty quickly. I didn’t take a photo of the food because I was too hungry! My partner ordered the mushroom burger and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Dancing Bear Burger, and it was delicious. Our server brought us more water without our request and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely eat here again if we are in the area, and I would recommend it to others as well.
My wife and I visited for lunch or 25th wedding anniversary this past week. I got a burger and she got a flatbread pizza. I enjoyed my burger tremendously but she had a problem with her pizza which the staff quickly resolved. Great atmosphere and a great waiter. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back.
Interesting take on corned beef hash, served in a wee skillet with peppers, onions & taters. Very good, just different. Plentiful of jam choices gorgeous your toast too. Excellent service.
The bar tonight was very busy. I was extremely impressed with the bartender Tony. Working by himself he made sure everyone was taken care of with a smile and professionalism. It’s impressive watching a great bartender to their job.
Staff is amazing, asked for seating preferences right away (outside/inside, booth/table). Our server was great as well, provided the perfect amount of timing between questions. The food is off the charts for the price range, ESPECIALLY compared to other places in the area. This area is largely toured and to be able to maintain a large flow of people so flawlessly is astounding. Would recommended Dancing Bear any day of the week if you're in the area.
I had breakfast over the weekend here and was very pleased with the meal. The food was well made, hot and fresh. I had eggs, bacon, toast and homefries. The price point is on the higher side and totally worth the money. My waitress was fantastic and very nice. The place is beautiful inside and has big windows to see Mirror lake . I would definitely come back. Would recommend this to all ages and a mid range budget.
It was a nice dinner. The food was delicious and the service from Clair was very attentive and kind!
Our food and the atmosphere were both great. We sat up top outside and the view was not lacking, great spot to unwind during dinner. Our server (I believe Amy), made sure everything came out as expected and checked in on us just the right amount throughout our meal. We will be back next time we're in LP for sure
The food was really good! Loved the cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommend!🌟
⭐️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! ⭐️ The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Staff was friendly, bathrooms were clean. 5 ⭐️!!!!
We liked this place so much we came back the same day! The Brussel sprouts were delicious and the pastrami sandwich was the best! Nachos were a bit over cooked, but still tasty. The drinks on the rooftop bar were the best part! Loved my martini creamsicle! Servers in Lake Placid are short staffed and deserve more. Corporate America must pay their workers more and you will not have a problem finding help. Servers deserve a decent wage, benefits and vacation. Give them the same insurance you give your executive team!!!
What a lovely place for a nice dinner! First time ever and it definitely gets my good review! Good service, lakeside and mountain view, and a relaxing atmosphere. 10/10✯
An ideal brunch spot with a view in the downtown strip of Lake Placid. Well crafted meals to suite anyone’s taste. My boyfriend enjoyed the breakfast pizza thoroughly for its big portion and quality ingredients. I cleaned my plate of avocado toast and eggs. All very satisfying and with great big cups of coffee to boot. Would happily return.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dancing Bears in Lake Placid and had an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat, especially thanks to our server Amy’s friendly disposition. To make the most of my visit, I decided to sit on the rooftop, which offered a breathtaking view of the surroundings. The menu at Dancing Bears was impressive, and after careful consideration, I settled on their mouthwatering chicken sandwich. Packed with flavor, the combination of grilled chicken, bacon, arugula, grilled peaches, gouda (which I customized to American cheese), honey BBQ sauce, grilled red onion, and spicy avocado crema was a true delight. Every bite was a harmonious blend of savory, smoky, and tangy flavors, perfectly balanced on a soft and fresh brioche bun. However, what truly made my visit exceptional was the remarkable service provided by Amy. She went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. Amy's attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and willingness to accommodate my request were truly remarkable. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care for my satisfaction made me feel like a valued guest throughout my visit. Amy's exceptional service undoubtedly elevated my overall experience at Dancing Bears. It's rare to find a server who goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcomed and taken care of. Her attentiveness and dedication deserve high praise and recognition. In conclusion, my visit to Dancing Bears in Lake Placid was an absolute delight. The stunning rooftop setting, the delectable chicken sandwich, and, above all, the exceptional service provided by Amy made it an experience to remember. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience accompanied by outstanding service.
Great customer service from our waitress and from you young guy that seated us 30 mins before closing. Everything other place basically kicked me and my family out because they were closing in 30 minutes. This young gentleman was so inviting and our waitress was excellent and made experience wonderful the food was great also
The wait staff was amazing. They were very cordial and waited patiently for us to choose our meals. The menu offered a great variety of meals, without being overwhelmingly large and the cocktails were stiff and cleverly presented. The prices were higher than expected but worth every penny.
We had breakfast here 3 times while we stayed in the connecting resort. We were very very pleased each time. The food was delicious. Great portions. The dinners we got were also incredibly good. The garlic pizza was great but that fish and chips. Wow. The breading on the fish was just melt in your mouth delicious. All the employees were very very kind and incredibly professional and outgoing.
We were visiting for 3 days and ate here three times. Once for dinner, once for takeout and once for breakfast. All were great! Really good service and location for people watching.
I spent 2 weeks in Lake Placid and stayed at the High Peaks Resort. I ate almost everyday at the Dancing Bears Restaurant. I think I've had at least 70% of their menu and the food was great. I must say though, the breakfast sausages were sooooo good. I could eat pans of them. I ordered them for dinner a couple times too. The kitchen was accommodating and I really appreciated that. And for being a resort town, the price to food portion and quality is quite palatable. The staff are such kind people (and good looking too). I enjoyed hearing their stories. They even know when I've had a tougher morning tham usual and immediately brought me coffee.
A good restaurant decorated in typical Adirondack style. We came here for brunch and were suitably impressed. The flapjacks are fluffy and light and the steak tip with biscuit and black pepper sauce was fantastic! Good selection of breakfast and brunch items, as well as for lunch and dinner. Also good selection of draft on tap from local breweries. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.
I have been to this restaurant twice on this trip. I am in the restaurant business, so I tend to be hyper-judgmental. Everything was awesome!! Food came out quickly and well-plated, despite being busy. HUGE shout out for the staff here. Amy is a server I would hire instantly, and Matt and Jody were amazing too. Honestly, even if the food at a restaurant is good, if the service is bad I just won’t go back. Amy and Matt have single handedly ensured I will be back over and over again, if only to see them and know I will leave happier than when I came in!! They know their job well, very accommodating, and know how to ‘read’ customers to elevate the experience.
Great place for Brunch. The Menu has several options but most based on eggs as the protein. There are 4 different salads where you can add a steak/chicken/shrimp or Salmon for extrat $. There were 2 options based on smoked salmon/lox but when we were there they didn’t have either for 3 days on a row. The service is good, the ambiance is great. Even considering the issues it is one of the best options in the area.
Everything about this restaurant—the food, service, and atmosphere—is exceptional! It has been a favorite spot in Lake Placid for many years. A special shoutout to kitchen supervisor Luis for his politeness and professionalism. We ordered fish tacos for a special dinner and couldn’t stop thinking about them for weeks, so we had to come back for our favorite fish tacos and quesadilla! The staff is fantastic. Thank you, Luis!
By far, most of the food we’ve had in the Lake Placid area has been pretty disappointing… but this place finally restored our hope! We stopped at another breakfast spot first and they told us it was a 50-minute wait for fried eggs and potatoes. 😅 Hard pass. So we walked over here, saw it was open and looked nice inside, and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The service was great, the breakfast was delicious, and best of all, we didn’t have to wait forever for our eggs. Definitely a solid spot!
My sisters and I were in Lake Placid for the weekend every restaurant and pub had the Olympics on their television. The best was the Dancing Bear we went all three days cocktails one night snack the next and this morning we went and have breakfast. Amy and her staff were absolutely fantastic!!! Food was delicious service the best they cheered with the crowd and didn’t rush us out 😄😄 Thank you Amy and staff for making our weekend special 😄😄😄❤️❤️
Overall, fantastic experience. Great waitress who was very attentive but not overbearing! Eggs were cooked just like an over medium egg should taste. Pancakes tasty. My husband liked the eggs Benedict.
We went to Dancing Bears with a group of 6 for a bachelor party and had a great time! The restaurant was super clean and really easy to get to right from downtown Lake Placid. The food was excellent, and the staff were all super friendly. Our waitress even surprised one of our group with a little birthday cake, which was a really nice touch. Prices were pretty average for this type of place, and overall the experience was great. Definitely would recommend it and would go again!
Probably one of the best restaurants in Lake Placid! The prices are slightly high for what you're getting, but its town prices. We were happy to be seated around 830pm after we were turned away from Smoke Signals (they started running out of food). Each of us were happy with our meal, they have a big enough menu for everyone to find something they will like. The atmosphere is welcoming and homey, with lots of Olympic memorabilia. The bar was packed and everyone there was having tons of fun. Also, you have to try the shirley temples! (The brand is probably all over the place here, but our people from Philly loved it!)
Our server was super nice which I always love to experience. The drinks came super quickly and you get water before ordering drinks aswell. The duck tacos, however, were pretty tasteless and the shell falls apart as soon as you touch it. The classic burger was pretty good (cooked medium) but if I ever were to get it again I'd get only one burger because it comes with two and that's too much for me.
Excellent food & service was wonderful. Karem was our server and she was so polite & welcoming. Having such a great restaurant attached to the hotel we stayed at (High Peaks) made it convenient when traveling w kids!
Super cozy restaurant with a partial view on the mountains. The service was nice and fast. I had the mushroom gnocchi. Super delicious, but the portion is a bit small. If you order an extra with it don't get the steak, it was horrible.
My wife and I ate here our first night in Lake Placid. We ordered the chef’s board, crab cake, wings, and the NY strip. The chef’s board was excellent, good variety of meats and cheeses but the olives were quite salty. For upstate NY, the crab cakes were astoundingly flavorful and tender. This is a must order if you enjoy seafood. The steak is a pass, the flavor profile was off. The wings were crispy and saucy and delicious. All portions were a good size and definitely shareable. We also got the hot cider drink and a cranberry mule which were both pretty good. Beautiful window overlooking Main St. comfortable atmosphere.
might just be some of the BEST Brussel sprouts I've had. NEVER have had the super sweet and small peppers with them. YUM. Food was good and service was great. Disappointed there was no Athletic brewing available. GREAT views on the deck of the lake.
Honestly pretty good. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice area with wooden furnitures and walls and hockey images and screens with sports games. Fries were nice - not too oily, not too soggy. Crisp, and lightly salted. Had the dancing bear burger and that was wonderful with very crispy bacon, strong blue cheese cheese flavour complemented with the sweet BBQ sauce. Price was about 22 plus tax and tips, which is typical/pricey for a 'gourmet style's burger.
Dancing Bears Restaurant is a comfortable, easygoing spot that offers a perfectly serviceable dining experience without trying to be anything more than it is.
As many other reviewers have said - this is our staple every time we come to Lake Placid. Food didn't blow my mind away but is not bad. The Chicken Burger felt a bit dry. Fries were good. Alfredo Pasta was excellent. I don't like the fact that they add $7 if we add Chicken to the dish, but this practice is seen in many Lake Placid restaurants so is not a problem with this establishment specifically. They were very very cognizant of nut allergies and servers were knowledgeable. Only nut-containing item when we went in is Peanut Butter pie but if you don't get desserts, there is not much to be concerned about. Server also instructed us about deep fried foods, because the same vegetable oil is used to fry Oreos - another menu offering. Oreos are regular oreos that may be made in a facility that contains nuts and the Oreos do not contain nuts themselves. We were fine with this and went ahead with ordering fries. Nevertheless, this is evidence of the servers' knowledge that gives us confidence in this restaurant. Our order also came in quickly, and the server was continuously attentive to our table despite being busy. The ambience of the restaurant is also nice. Sports-bar type feel. You can relax and look at mirror lake and the Main Street hustle-bustle while seated by the window.
Hostess rolled her eyes at us and spoke rather shortly but other than that we had a good view of the lake and the server was very friendly and cute. Food was good. Nice prices.
Nice place in a tourist area with decent prices. Our hostess was really nice and kept us updated on how long our wait was. The menu is great! I had a Cobb salad and it was really good! Hubby had the forging bear salad and loved it. Son had pasta and when he asked for bread or anything to dip in the sauce, our waitress shrugged and said no, "the don't have any." Our waitress also had zero personality. Not sure if she was having a bad day but it seemed like a smile would have killed her. I'd go back but would hope for different wait staff.
Great prices, tasty food, good coffee and a view of the lake. We were here midweek and the attendance was pretty light, but have heard that it can get pretty busy on the weekends, especially during leaf season and the summers. We had the eggs Benedict and the corned beef and hash.
We went here for breakfast. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait on Labor Day. But the wait was nearly 30-40 minutes. The food was delicious. Nice fresh and hot. The favorite was the chorizo skillet. The eggs Benedict was perfect. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise was made to perfection. One thing that was downer was the orange juice which was charged at $4. Kind of overpriced for such a small glass. Stick to hot beverages or a hot chocolate which is cheaper. Overall pretty good experience.
The place is centrally located by Mirror Lake and on the Main Street. Beautiful rustic decor and has a bar inside it as well. The food was good and brought soon after placing the order. Our server Carlos was amazing. Very courteous and eloquent and nice. We could see the mountain and lakes from our table. The older lady at the bar whereas, was rude. All she did was stay at the bar upset and complaining (murmuring out loud) about how she hates the place, hates the bar etc etc. when we asked for help she was rude & literally yelling. Other than that, the food is something can bring you back.
Good service and good food. Ordered a wrap, my husband ordered a burger and kids ordered off the kids menu. There was no price and had we asked the price first I would have picked a flat bread or something else for them to share. Kids meals were $14 each. Hot dog and fries apple sauce and drink. My Mediterranean wrap was $16. A kids meal and an adult meal should not cost close to the same. That’s my only complaint. I’d eat here again but would pick something else for the kids to share with us instead.
Nice bar and grill on the main drag of lake placid. We stop by regularly every time we are visiting lake placid. The foods are standard bar and grill offerings but with a nice touch. They do update their menu new offerings once a while. The location and view are great, you over look at the mirror lake and can people watch the pedestrians hanging out in downtown lake placid. The servers are always super friendly and fun. We love it much better than the black bears across the street. :D
The food was pretty good. Service was not. The server has a persistent cough that was very unappetizing to hear as she carries your food out to you. She was not the friendliest and got my order wrong. The service industry doesn’t seem like a good match for her.
The good ol' Dancing Bears in the heart of Main Street Lake Placid..Our family has been visiting LP from the city for the past 6 years now and we love to come and ski at the Whiteface Mountain during the winter months, beautiful area! Dancing Bears is just one of our favorite spots to stop and eat for breakfast. We just had visited for the ESG Empire State Games two weeks ago and stopped and had a wonderful brunch at the Dancing Bears, the service was impeccable! And, as for the food it is always delicious. My wife loves the eggs benedict and our kids always order french toast and pancakes! The atmosphere itself is usually very relaxing but, this time it was a bit odd because the staff was on their hands and knees cleaning table legs during the time that we were eating. It just seemed very out of place during the time of the meal.
Rhis is a great choice for breakfast inLske Placid, NY for breakfast but dinner was not awesome. The early morning breakfast I had was delicious (order the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and get a side of waffles)! I have to say, although my friends were disappointed in their ribs (too dry) I was not disappointed with my huge lobster roll. So big, I couldn't finish it!
Food was OK, service was SLOW. I had the chorizo skillet which was tasty but nearly inedible with the grease it was floating in. My dining companion had the three egg omelette which was delicious. I had a cappuccino which was very good. They have real maple syrup on the table which is a great touch. The service was not good. They never came back to bring the check or check on the food and ultimately had to decide between walking out without paying or going to the bar and insisting. We went to the bar to pay. Also hostess station said please wait to be seated but was unstaffed. Plenty of workers, but not good service. Almost 90 minutes for breakfast and that just doesn’t work. Take a look at the grease in my photo of the skillet before you order it. I would look elsewhere before dining here.
Food was excellent and restaurant was beautiful. Had a view of the lake since the place was basically empty and we were able to sit in the window. I can’t begin to put into words just how heavenly my breakfast was. However, the service was absolutely awful. An older woman was serving when I was there and was loudly complaining about people being in the restaurant, was rude while we ordered, and was rolling her eyes the entire time my table and I were sat. It was incredibly awkward to be sitting within earshot of her loudly complaining about literally everything.
We ordered room service from here as we were staying in the hotel the restaurant is connected to. The food came very fast and the gentleman delivering it was very nice. However the food was incredibly underwhelming especially for the price. I had the gnocchi which was overcooked that it was basically like mashed potatoes. I will say the taste wasn’t too bad but the texture was just too off putting. My partner had the Korean Tacos which were actually pretty good. The food wasn’t awful but it also wasn’t great, especially not for how much it costs. Eating in the actual restaurant might be a better experience.
This restaurant was recommended to me so we decided to try it. I can honestly say my breakfast pizza was delicious and i absolutely enjoyed it. Unfortunately, that quality of the food over overshadowed by the horrible service we received. The waitress barely spoke to us, never asked us what we wanted to drink, or even checked on us/our food. Once we finished eating, we sat for more than 30 minutes waiting for the bill. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. I ended up having to flag down a waiter (who was very friendly and happy to help) to get our bill. Our waitress brought it over, and took the bill and card without saying a word. Breakfast shouldn’t take over an hour. I hope the service improves if we ever decide to try again.
Foods ok but took 30 minutes to get water and drinks ordered.
The food was a disappointment and very expensive. We had the nachos, salmon, and short ribs. The salmon was good but the risotto it was served on was so overcooked that it was a pudding, same with the tomatoes. The short ribs were underseasoned and a bit overcooked. The sides on the short rib were also underseasoned. The nachos weren't very crunchy, maybe too much cheese? They put a layer of the cheap movie theatre cheese on the very top of the nachos which was a bit off-putting. We had a bottle of Cab Sav and it was about average but very expensive. Our waiter was a bit shy and didn't make much eye contact, which is okay. All in all, its crazy that we paid $145 to eat this quality level. You could pay the same amount anywhere else in Lake Placid and it would definitely be better.
(I drained the oil after eating half of the dish, a lot was still in there) Went for breakfast and the only good thing was the view and decor. The food itself was subpar especially for the price for breakfast. I ordered the chorizo skillet and it likely had 8 tablespoons of oil in it, everything was swimming in oil. The home fries had sugar on them which was not very good but if it’s your thing, okay. Eggs Benedict was aight. And the service was very slow at the end.
Salmon supposed to be flavorful and delicious when its done right this wasn't; the potatoes was over done and dry the 3 asparagus was also not the best but was the only thing that we ate without complaining. To dress up the salmon we asked for lemon and butter and used the salt and pepper for taste we really tried not to complain and eat it but in the end all 4 of us had tò leave some salmon on the plate. I've eaten there before and the experience was better don't know if they got a new chef he needs to look in the recipe book and bring some flavor. Gum was tò clean our palette ...... that fish left an aftertaste that needed mint, there is no before picture because the plate was not picture worthy.
Food was abysmal. Service was fantastic though. Quick tip: don’t sell a smash burger snd then proceed to give just a double patty burger. Either learn how to make a smash burger or just don’t call it that. Also the ribs were just horrible.
I'm not sure why this place has 4.1 stars. Ordered room service as we were staying at the High Peaks Resort. The only positive thing I can say was that it arrived in a reasonable amount of time. They did, however, forget silverware and ketchup for the fries. The gentleman that brought the food was friendly and apologetic. My girlfriend got the salmon, and I got their brisket french dip. We split the pretzel sticks. The pretzel sticks were mediocre at best. My girlfriend liked the salmon entreé, which makes me think I should've just ordered the overpriced salmon. The french dip, however, was just gross. Very small amounts of tough, overcooked "brisket" that wasn't warm when the rest of the food was. The au jus was actually viscous brown gravy. It was more of a "brisket" french derp. This meal was $90, not including tip, and I feel I honestly would have received a much better meal from a diner. Super disappointing.
We stayed at High Peaks and decided to grab a quick breakfast on our last day. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. After being seated, we waited over 15 minutes before anyone came to our table—and even then, the server only brought water and never returned. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, so the lack of service was especially frustrating. We ended up leaving without ordering. Experiences like this really make me think twice about staying at this resort again.
If I can give negative one stars. I absolutely would. The waitress , has no concept of customer service. The food took over 30 minutes to come out, and the order was botched. They messed up sunny side eggs … the most easiest order … No wonder this was the only place empty for brunch. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone to even bother. Grab a quick breakfast sandwich from Stewart’s instead …
