The food here is fantastic - possibly the best breakfast burrito with sausage I've ever had. The blueberry scone, brownie and banana bread are fantastic. Espresso was delicious. Whole place was cozy and awesome. Loved it, highly recommend!

Love this coffee shop! Thank you for carrying vegan milk options! More of a quiet spot since it's just up the hill from the shopping street - we definitely didn't mind as we wanted to play a board game.

Brewed the coffee right in front of us! We came back several times during our stay. Finally, a place that makes espresso good enough to drink without milk or sugar! Bonus points for environmentally conscious stirrers and atmosphere.

Very cute. Good coffee and food. One person working so it's a bit slow, but yall are on vacation so relax and let him do his job. Better than him microwaving processed food - you can watch him make your meal. For those complaining about masks or prices get over it. Clearly your skiing at whiteface or staying in a fancy hotel so you can probably afford a local coffee. Small businesses staying open over the past year hasn't been easy so we dont know what this place may have gone through.

Love this place! Cute and quirky with delicious drinks. I got the chia latte with almond milk each day. The guy behind the counter was always so friendly and welcoming. This will be a regular spot for me when I’m in town!

Super charming cafe with good coffee, great breakfast options and beautiful outdoor seating. It’s just one person running it (register, coffee making and cooking) which can lead to slight delays but in the relaxed atmosphere of the yard I didn’t really mind.

Loved it! The food, java, cozy-ness... They even had matcha tea. Wound up there twice for breakfast while staying in town. They also happened to have some things for sale like art, jewelry, and a selection of "herb-related" necessities ;)

We came here for breakfast on our first day in Lake Placid. It was next door to our hotel and I read online that they allow dogs. Not everywhere is keen on allowing our 85 pound dog inside so we were thankful that we found somewhere so close. We ordered two of the breakfast croissants which were absolutely delicious, a pumpkin latte and a maple latte. There was only one man running the show but service was still quick and he was friendly. I would recommend this place for a quick bite or hot cup of coffee. I loved the decor inside, it’s quaint and cozy.

I was looking forward to trying this coffee shop during our stay in Lake Placid and it did not disappoint. Places like this are what I love about traveling. I appreciate that it's not trying to be a trendy coffee shop. But it is filled with charm none the less. I got a delicious pumpkin latte and the service was friendly. The man making our coffee had a warmth to him and we wished we could stay longer. Would highly recommend. 🍁🍂

This coffeehouse is so adorable with absolutely delicious coffee! The quaint cafe is tucked beyond the main road, adding to overall charm of it all. The interior is simply nostalgic. It is coveted in vintage decor and embodied by the aroma of warm coffee and fresh pastries, an environment akin to your grandparents’ house. I came here and got an oat milk mochachino with a blueberry muffin, and I really enjoyed them. The coffee had a creamy texture with delectably airy foam. It had quite a chocolate-y taste, fused with cinnamon and other sweet flavors. I am usually quite particular with my coffee, and I was very pleased with this one. If you prefer coffee that aligns with my description, then hands down this is the best cafe for you to go to in Lake Placid. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by this hidden gem. 💗

Very cute little spot. Coffee is roasted in house and was delicious, and breakfast is made to order right in front of you and was also very good. Far superior quality to anything you’d ever get at a chain, absolutely worth the couple extra minutes wait to have a fresh made meal. You can tell the owner is involved with and loves being part of the community in LP. We will be back!

The place was nice. It's in an actual house, where you can sit in on of the rooms and enjoy your coffee and food while talking. It feels homely. The lattes are good but the mochas use instant hot chocolate mix. The food is made in the house's kitchen which is nice yet comical in a way. The place is one of those, you have to try once place. The gentleman behind the counter was really nice.

No frills straight up coffee. No venti, no grande and no tap no Apple Pay!!!! Just good old coffee!

C

A small little coffee shop with flavor. Went in for a coffee and tea, came out with that plus a breakfast burrito, a breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and a cinnamon coffee cake. The burrito and sandwich were simple but on point, the coffee cake was a good after breakfast "dessert", and the mocha was just right.

Chai Latte and Coffee were great!! Also breakfast borito was good. There is no option to pay with tap which makes it inconvienent (i came by when it rained with my phone only). But the food and drinks were really good!

This place is kinda quirky but I love it. The inside looks like an antique shop exploded in the best way—lots of old stuff to look at while you wait. Coffee is good and strong, nothing fancy, just the way I like it. The real star is the breakfast sandwiches. They make a killer egg sandwich. Simple, fresh, and hits the spot. Couple things to know: no WiFi, no credit cards (bring cash), and the guy running it might seem gruff at first but he’s actually friendly once you talk to him. It’s small, a little old-school, but very charming. Feels like one of those places that hasn’t changed in decades, and that’s what makes it great.

M

Kinda disappointing. I saw the organic coffee sign and wanted a quality cup of coffee. I’m glad I asked about the chocolate in the mocha because it’s just Swiss Miss cocoa. Went with an almond milk latte instead and ended up tossing half of it. Prices were pretty high, even for a tourist town.

We selected this place to sit down and stay for a little while, drinking coffee and maybe getting a little work done, but the coffee tasted burnt and we ended up barely drinking it. Also, the Internet was so slow we couldn’t open any web pages or do the most basic tasks (like check email). The place itself is kinda cute and the owner was friendly and willing to allow us to use our reusable coffee mugs which was appreciated.

B

I wasn't impressed with the little cafe or the food. My wife and I stopped by early on a Wednesday for a coffee and a quick bite. The man behind the counter was courteous, but not overly helpful or friendly. I ordered a coffee and a Danish looking item, not sure what it would be called exactly. My wife had a hot chocolate and a muffin. Both items were cold and hard, and we had to ask for them to be warmed. I didn't eat the Danish, after the first bite. It wasn't acceptable. The decor looks as though someone's not sure what kind of business they want to run, as the mixture of items makes you wonder what the purpose of the business is. Overall it was a disappointing visit.

Cofee was good. Muffin didn’t looked freshly baked. Seemed like supermarket ones. Same for the croissant. So sad I have to write these words for such a nice place.

So I normally don't write bad reviews. Everyone's got to make a living and things are tough all around. So the place is like an old home very cool. I asked th older gentleman if someone lived there kinda shrugged me off. No decaf coffee! So I had a shot of expresso and then a shot of decaffeinated expresso. They were selling an old bike when you walk in with two flat tires. A lot can be done with a place like this. Expresso was super small and remember they are competeing with Starbucks McDonald's etc. Need to have a little more homey feel to the decor. Wouldn't recommend.

I always wondered about this coffee shop as I have often passed by it. Today, three of us stopped in and I am sorry to say we were disappointed. To start, the barista was not friendly or welcoming. My friend wanted a chai latte and I decided to try one myself for the first time, as I already had a double espresso in the morning. Sad to say, the chai lattes were sickening sweet. I thought it was the customer who decided on the sugar. We were never asked our preference. In any case, my friend did not drink his and placed it in the trash and I forced my down. It was regrettable. The only person who enjoyed a drink got a fruit juice in a bottle. I will not return, as there are better options elsewhere.

Was visiting Lake Placid and decided to stop by this place for a quick breakfast since it was right next door to my resort. The place is cute looking and I liked the vibe inside but ended up leaving without placing an order after waiting around 15 minutes because the man working was so focused on the preparing an insanely large order from a single customer ahead of us, and didn’t even acknowledge our presence or bother to tell us it was going to be a while.

I visited Lake Placid last week with my sister. We selected this place for breakfast as it had some good reviews. However, the prices are extremely high. I had a custom sandwich which was just one slice of sourdough bread and one egg for $7.95. My sister had the croissant sandwich which was nothing to rave about. We shared one large pumpkin latte which was okay, but we found it quite expensive for 7.95. The pumpkin latte at Starbucks is so good and costs less. Our total bill was almost 25$! Exorbitant! The next day we decided to have breakfast at our hotel, the Crowne Plaza. We had double the quantity of eggs and toasted bread and coffee and were surprised when we got our bill which was only 10.80! for two people. I would not go back to this place if visiting Lake Placid again.

Wanted to like this place because it was right near where we stayed. But it basically checks the boxes of everything wrong with a coffee shop: weird vibes from the owner, no milk alternatives, no food options besides some old muffins, funky smell inside with no ambiance, weird hours, and he definitely gouged us on pricing (charged $8 for a BLACK ICED COFFEE!!!). He found out we were from out of town and my MIL swears he upped the price by $2-3 on his old school cash register. So sketchy.
