My husband and I stopped in, on a whim, while visiting Lake Placid. I'm telling you, I could have bought the ENTIRE store!!! We bought a 6pound bag of rainbow kernels, popcorn oil, and 2 seasoning flavors during our first stop- we would have bought more but we didn't want to lug everything around! We already plan to stop back in this afternoon for another popcorn seasoning (or two) and some prepopped popcorn to eat this evening. Heck, I may even stop in again tomorrow before heading back home!!! I love it and will make this a standard stop every time we're in town.

I don't know how they do it but the popcorn is on another level. There are a multitude of genius flavors to choose from but I need to get my kettle corn fix! Best I've ever had. Love all the gifts they have for sale too!

The staff at ADK Popcorn were helpful when a special request was made for the 2016 Christmas season. When I arrived the store staff were glad to assist me while busy accommodating seasonal orders.

Stopped by while in town and was surprised at how good the popcorn was. I have been ordering from them online over the last year or two and the delivered stuff is just as good as the freshly made stuff in the store.

I love this place. So many varieties of popcorn, popped and unpopped. Tons of oils, flavorings and poppers. Gwendolyn, the sweet girl who was working, was very friendly and helpful.

I find myself drawn to and buying popcorn from here every single time we visit Lake Placid. We get a thing of kettle corn and one of the little specialty bags. The birthday cake is delicious if a little too sweet (is there such a thing?) The only complaint I have is the last batch I got had a lot of broken small pieces in it but it just could been the end of a batch. Have never had that problem before. They also have tin signs that are sorted and are a good price.

Tourist walking through Placid and like the pied piper, the smells of this place sucked me right in. Excellent variety of flavors, pricing was normal for specialty popcorn, and the person who helped me was very friendly and nice (and also fully COVID compliant FYI). Most importantly the corn (we got 3 varieties) was delicious and quickly enjoyed and consumed by our whole group. Give it a go!

We popped into this place twice during of recent 3 day stay in Lake Placid. They had a number of flavor options. We ended up going with the Double Cheddar flavor and were pleased. The owner helped us on our second occasion and was a warm and welcoming person.

I love love love this place! The variety of popcorn, the samples, the flavors and cute little gifts that they have in and around the store!! It’s such a great place to stop for a snack and great place to stop before you head out of town, so you can take your favorite flavor home with you! We love the kettle corn, cracked pepper, dill pickle & salt and vinegar flavor! I’m even a big fan of mixing the sweet and salty popcorns together for an even better experience!! I just love this place!

I have a confession, I have a bit of a popcorn addiction. So it was a no brainer to stop in here when I was visiting the area. This shop is adorable, fun and whimsical. It literally sells everything popcorn. There are varieties premade and ready to eat, specialty kernels, every kind of popping device known to man and a ton of flavorings. We opted for the standard butter and novelty moose crunch. Standard butter was good and fresh. The moose crunch was a delicious treat. Moose crunch consisted of fresh popped popcorn covered in generous amounts of chocolate and peanut butter topping with some peanuts mixed in. There could have been more peanuts, we saw very few in there. The texture and salt of the peanuts was a nice contrast to the sweet popcorn. The staff were all wearing masks and the store felt clean and safe. This is definitely worth a stop in when you are visiting Lake Placid. It was a little on the pricey side but worth it for a gift for a popcorn lover or a treat for yourself!

Popcorn Co. has introduced my family and I to some of the most delicious popcorn seasonings and popcorn kernel types. But this review pertains to not only the great product, but the amazing staff. Unfortunately I do not live close to this location so it is a must to go to Popcorn Co. to restock on their great products. Three years ago we fell in love with a specific seasoning, Southwest Jalapeño (for me personally is one of the best seasoning ever, with just the right amount of spice and a blast of flavor). After running out I was concerned that I’d never get this seasoning again given it had been so long and I was unable to shop for the seasoning products online. Yesterday, we finally returned to Popcorn co, however it Turns out it is no longer a product they have at their store. But then an employee by the name Gwen took the extra time to reach out to the previous owners of this company to help me have a second chance to have this seasoning again. She took my info and had reached out to me today providing me that second chance and directed me to a place where I could find it. Gwen, I truly appreciate you, I am beyond a happy customer. From a business perspective this situation may seem like it a loss of business, but it is far from it. My family and I love this Business an will always praise the amazing products while continuing to shop there. For any popcorn lovers out there, I highly recommend visiting Popcorn Co!

Old fashion popcorn! Good place to pick up ingredients to make popcorn at home. Friendly service. Oh and if you are looking for cool old signs like from old comic books you will find some here.

We got the Whiteface Mtn. popcorn — it was delicious! I'd love to try some of their other flavours. My only complaint is that they are a little pricey.

I absolutely love their popcorn! I wait and check weekly this time every year for their s'mores popcorn I finally found it and it went from 29.99 to 41.99 for one gallon! I know the world is tough and prices and going up but one gallon one flavor tin for 42 plus tax and shipping, no! Such a shame.

Walked in the store and the 3 girls were eating popcorn out of the bin. No one asked if we wanted a sample. No one greeted us. They just stood there eating and chatting. They basically didn't acknowledge that we were there. I love popcorn and would have spent some bank. The owner needs to reevaluate his staff and pay more attention.

Waited at the counter long enough to leave. The employee behind it was talking to a friend on the phone and wouldn’t even get off the phone for 5 minutes to help the people in the store. Yes, I have visited here before and the popcorn is good. Overpriced, yes. If you are on vacation it is a nice treat and you can even send some home to your friends. They have flavors like maple bourbon bacon, birthday cake, and dill pickle. All of which would be great to purchase IF the employee’s would help you.

Mushroom popcorn pops round, more like spheres. Further, the popcorn was so old, it did not pop properly. I have photos and videos so they could see that it was not the correct product. I reached out to Adirondack Popcorn Company via phone AND email and never received a response. I am shocked by this poor customer service. They owe me a refund.

Drove an hour to get some popcorn fory kids and was there about 6:30 and the store was closed. Not sure why the store was closed when the store hours showed 7 for a closed time.

very unprofessional. it seemed that no one working there was over the age of 21. the one counter girl kept eating popcorn out of the bin by the counter, and then sucking on her fingers before taking customers' credit cards & even cash. then, when waiting for another customer, she was back to picking pieces out of the bin (the same bin which she then served a customer who ordered a bag of that flavor). the popcorn is delicious, but I stuck to the pre-made / sealed bags so I didn't get any cross contamination. gross.

My experience at the popcorn co. was horrible. I am a Puerto Rican woman and that day I was wearing box braids on my hair. I went there only to buy popcorn for my family. There was an older woman in the front with a younger woman, the younger woman was going to take our order and check us out but the older woman whispered something into her ear and she left. So the older woman took our order, I thought nothing of it at first but as I exited the store the younger woman was standing "guard" at the door. Now I don't know if it had anything to do with my race or hair but there was no guard at the door when I entered and there were plenty of other people there.

The sign clearly says they close at 9pm. Got there at 8:45pm and their door was locked. Tapped on the glass and the woman shook her head No. I even pointed to the sign saying it wasn’t supposed to be closed yet and she still shook her head. If you close at 9pm then you should be open until then.

Couldn't believe how rude the employees were. They need to fire them. Asked for a sample at point blank range a few times and was completely ignored. Same thing happened to my family members. Overpriced with attitude included! We came here for our vacation, not to deal with rude employees!

Went here with hopes to try the popcorn and help a small business. Staff was EXTREMELY rude, yelling over masks and kicking people out of the store, and chirping them as they left. Mortified by this I left right away. Do not give these rude people business. Over priced. Rude. Not worth it. I'm disgusted.

I have been in this store many times... But today the owner was very unsympathetic towards an autistic child.... She has no consideration for children with special needs or any child.. I would not suggest this store to visit in lake placid.

Staff was rude. When asked if they had a sample to decide what flavors to get they rudely answered no. Both women working chimed in as if we asked something ridiculous. We received a sample outside on the 4th which is why we returned. In addition she suggested she put it in a plastic bag to keep fresh so I agreed and when she was going to close it I wanted to put in it a shaker of flavoring I also purchased and she said then I would have to close it because it wasn’t allowed. Honestly the only rude people I’ve ever experienced in Lake Placid. Will never return and do not recommend.

We were the only customers in the store and asked to sample a unique flavor and seemed to strike a nerve with the staff. It was just an uncomfortable conversation. My advice to the business: When people are willing to overpay for popcorn on a day when you are barely getting customers, just give them a sample rather than telling them to imagine what it tastes like. Btw you guys were basically throwing samples at my gf the prior month. Oof marone, do better!

Went in with every intention of buying my children some popcorn for our long car ride home. My 2 year was carrying a toy that made a little noise, the women made rude comments the whole time. Needless to say my husband and I decided we weren’t welcome there and we left without making a purchase. There are much friendlier businesses to purchase snacks from. Try the goodies at Emma’s down the road. Edited to add: this occurred on a Monday morning around 11am and we were the only people in the store except the lady making these comments and another employee. It was not during a busy time.

Staff was rude. Was interested in two flavors of popcorn and couldn't get a sample. Was sarcastically told they don't do samples anymore. When we asked to try them so we can figure out which one to buy they laughed at us and said "it's just a sample, have a nice day". We left the store and would not recommend anyone going here. The only store in town where the staff was not pleasant. Very disappointed.

I am a huge popcorn lover and couldn’t wait to go here. As I am in the store with 5 of my friends, I had a few items in my hand to purchase. An older lady screamed across the store to my friends who just purchased popcorn and wanted to try it to put their mask on. When I say screamed it, it was very embarrassing and not friendly at all! There are so many nicer ways of approaching people. I was so turned off by it I put all my items down and walked out. Never to visit that place again.

Unfortunately, this is was the last time I will be purchasing popcorn from this establishment. I had purchased a metal sign along with some bags of popcorn over the weekend. It seems that when the employee peeled the price sticker off, it ripped off part of the sign. Now, there is a white patch the size of a quarter on a blue sign, which was supposed to be a gift. I did not discover this until I was at home unpacking, 4.5 hours away. The next day I called to talk to a manager to notify her about the problem and hoping to get a refund. The manager, who is also the owner, admitted that this has happened with two other signs and that her employee damaged it. I don't understand how they would continue placing price stickers on the front of the sign knowing that it was an issue. Even though the manager/owner stated that the sign was a discontinued product and she bought it at a discount price, she was unwilling to refund me unless I returned the sign the next time I'm in Lake Placid, which is not in the foreseeable future. The manager/owner did not offer to exchange it with a different sign, give any sort of compensation, or pay for me to ship it back. She declared that there was nothing in her power she could do. The only option the owner suggested was physically bringing it back to the store to receive a refund, although I offered to electronically submit photos of the damage as proof. Given the admitted history of her employees damaging products while removing the price sticker, I was surprised that the owner is powerless over her own return and refund policies. I'm severely disappointed in this store, as it does not uphold the values of being a respectable family-owned business. The owner was uncompromising and rude over the phone, laughing at my request on two separate occasions. This is an utter disappointment as this shop was among our favorites to visit in Lake Placid. I'm sorry to say that I will no longer be shopping here given their disrespect of providing quality products and poor customer service. I would advise other consumers to inspect your purchases before leaving the store.
