A-1 Buffet and Sushi

Tired of having to wait for 40-45min 2x in a row in Lake Placid, we tried this buffet place that's only 10 min away from our hotel in Lake Placid and was nicely surprised. No wait & plenty of free parking! The place was enormous. Plenty of food choices from veggies [bean sprouts, mushrooms, Broccolies Cauliflowers...], to seafood [including king snowcrab legs], to meat, to sushi, to fruits & desserts. Great value. Good service too. 👍

Best buffet experience I have ever had, helpful and interactive employees with fantastic attitudes and smiles. It was wonderful to see the employees enjoying their day. I could not have asked for better service, atmosphere, or food! This was exac What I needed today.

The food was very good with a wide variety of choices. Clean and nice staff. My only suggestion would be to change the kid age for the buffet.

GREAT bean sprouts, must eat a plate of bean sprouts. 🌱 Neutral on everything else. 👍 The bean sprouts really carry the menu. Wish I could tell you about the crab legs, never saw the pan refilled. Maybe the crabs went on strike. 🦀🪧 #SupportTheCrabs I ❤️ Bean 🫘 Sprouts 🌱

Have been coming to this area for years and always driven by this restaurant but for some reason never stopped in. Got into town late this evening and decided to check it out, so glad we did and we will definitely eat here again. We were seated right away and drinks were brought out immediately. There were a lot of options on the buffet and everything was fresh. All you can eat and I wish I could have eaten more. Next time we might consider their take out option. The overall restaurant atmosphere and decor was nice too, not a tacky buffet like some I have been to.

We thought there were quite a few more dishes to try than previously. Everything was delicious, carefully prepared, and there so many tasty choices of vegetable, seafood, chicken, pork, and beef dishes, salads, fresh fruits and desserts to choose from. This type of buffet offers many dishes for many types of diners and you won’t leave hungry! Service was attentive and the price was very reasonable for two. Definitely returning and definitely recommending! 🤗

Absolutely spectacular! Best chinese buffet i’ve ever been to, and that’s surprising for out here in the Adirondacks, great service too! We came with a group of 11 and they were very attentive to us! The selection is amazing too, and nothing was bad! it was amazing, like seriously you should make a day to try it sometime! I hope they hang around a while, it worries me how high quality it was for the price, it may be too good to be true for long :(

A lot of excellent choices. The wasabi for the sushi is pretty mild, but the sushi is good Their sliced pork dish is pretty good, with a very subtle flavor, but it dries out on the plate, so it would be nice if it had a dipping sauce on the side.

Chinese buffet what more can you say? Long day on the lake? Long hike? Chinese buffet is always the answer. As one would always say about Chinese buffet: how’s the food? Better than I thought! It’s awesome! Feels like being right at home in Shanghai you know (kidding). The workers were all very kind friendly and hardworking. Also the tapioca is fire. Xie xie 😌

Food is good. It's better some days. It's better at certain times. For example, the crab legs were not there when I went at 7:30 on Tuesday. It was all basic take out fast food at that time. But the sushi is always very good and fresh! I give 4 stars mostly because i felt rushed out, slightly after 8. They really wanted me to leave. And the bubble strawberry tea was horrible. But i think they knew that, as they didnt charge me for it.

We went for lunch and it was quiet. They seated us quickly. The food was alright. Not bad, but not amazing. They had options for sushi, but it was all imitation crab mainly. The other food (meat options) were good. They had general tsos, sesame chicken, chicken teriyaki, etc. The basics I feel. Can’t go wrong with this buffet

Very budget friendly, but be warned if you go around 1430hrs someone might be looking intensively at you so you don't take the supper food, wich is not labeled, to add to the excitement

My dad and I came here for dinner at about 6:30 pm on February 15th, 2026 before we went to the ice castle. I got to the bottom of my drink, unfortunately I didn’t notice it sooner, but I got to the bottom of my drink and found garbage in my cup, a soggy fortune was in my soda and we hadn’t gotten the bill or any fortune cookies yet🤢 I put my plate at the end of the table because I was so disgusted I wasn’t eating any more after that, when the waitress came by to grab my plate, I pointed out the fortune in the soda and told her how disgusted I was. Instead of offering to get a manager or comp my meal, she blamed a cleaner and said she could get me another soda. Very unprofessional to blame a cleaner and not just apologize. Refills are free anyway and a free soda does nothing for me knowing I just drank garbage and why would I want a soda when I said I’m done eating because I’m disgusted. She came back with a bill for $42 and change. I shouldn’t have had to pay for a meal that I wanted to throw up after seeing I consumed a filthy drink. We will absolutely never come back here ever again when we come up for the ice castle each year. I hope that unprofessional waitress that’s okay with trash in customers food gets fired too.
